“It matters who pressed the shutter.” Netflix has debuted an official trailer for an acclaimed documentary film titled The Stringer: The Man Who Took The Photo, which first premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. The film is a fascinating deep-dive investigation in who exactly deserves the credit for taking a famous photo during the Vietnam War. The photo in question is the iconic “The Terror of War” shot with a screaming young girl published by the NY Times in 1972. A former Saigon photo editor reveals a secret he’s been plagued with for ~52 years – setting off a gripping two-year investigation into the truth behind one of the Vietnam War’s most iconic photos. Acclaimed conflict photographer Gary Knight and a small team of journalists embark upon a relentless search to locate and seek justice for a man known only as “the stringer” – a local Vietnamese photographer named Nguyen Thanh Nghe. This doc is a look into his story, the rest of his life, and how the photo was attributed to another photographer in the first place. Nguyen Thanh Nghe was also in attendance at the Sundance premiere, where he stated: “I took the photo.”

Official trailer for Bao Nguyen’s doc The Stringer: The Man Who Took The Photo, from YouTube:

The Stringer: The Man Who Took The Photo Doc Trailer

📸 Based on the Vietnam War photograph “The Terror of War” (originally taken on June 8th, 1972), more commonly referred to as Napalm Girl, depicting Phan Thi Kim Phuc running from a napalm attack, the documentary film questions whether it was credited to the correct photographer. It presents a two-year investigation on the matter, arguing that a photo stringer named Nguyen Thanh Nghe actually took it rather than the officially credited photographer Nick Ut who sold the shot to the Associated Press. The Stringer: The Man Who Took The Photo, aka simply The Stringer, is directed by Vietnamese American doc filmmaker Bao Nguyen, director of the doc films Live from New York!, Be Water, and The Greatest Night in Pop previously, plus TV series including “Open Secrets”. It’s produced by Fiona Turner, Terri Lichstein. This initially premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. Netflix will debut Nguyen’s The Stringer doc streaming on Netflix worldwide starting November 28th, 2025 this fall. Who’s interested?

Bigg Boss Makers And Salman Khan Faces Backlash Slamming Farhana Bhatt On Weekend Ka War By Her Fans

by jummy84 November 10, 2025
written by jummy84

Bigg Boss 19 contestant Farhana Bhatt had a rough weekend as she found herself at the center of controversy during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode. Salman Khan, the show’s host, didn’t hold back when he reprimanded Farhana for using abusive language inside the house, and his sharp criticism left the housemates, as well as viewers, shocked. However, the incident sparked a fierce online backlash, with Farhana’s team and fans defending her and accusing Salman Khan of biasness.

Farhana Bhatt Team Defends Her

During the weekend episode, Salman Khan called out Farhana Bhatt and Tanya Mittal for their behavior, questioning their maturity and mindset. Salman was particularly harsh on Farhana, saying, “Spiritual motivators, they don’t even know the ‘s’ of spirituality. Peace activists, they don’t even know the ‘p’ of peace.” The comments came after a series of incidents inside the house, where Farhana was seen making controversial remarks.

Salman criticized her behavior, saying, “A man returns home after recovering from an illness, and you say, ‘Let them celebrate, another fool has joined.’” His words were pointed and personal, and he accused her of bringing the show down. The episode sparked outrage online. Farhana’s supporters quickly took to social media to express their anger, accusing Salman of unfairly targeting her. Her team reposted several stories shared by her fans on Instagram, criticizing both Salman and the show’s producers for their handling of the situation.

Farhana Bhatt

One message shared by her team read, “Today’s Bigg Boss 19 episode was truly difficult to watch. Salman Khan completely humiliated Farhana on TV, yes, she may have said some wrong things and used harsh words, but that doesn’t justify the way she was brutally insulted. Correcting someone is one thing, but publicly humiliating them is another. And why is Farhana always singled out? There are many others who have done worse, yet they are spared every time. This seems unfair and one-sided. We’re not saying she’s right, but what about your nepo kids? The makers want to portray Farhana Bhatt in a bad light and others in a good light.”

The adventure continues! Arka Mediaworks has revealed the first epic teaser for Baahubali: The Eternal War, an animated spin-off series of movies currently in the works. Arka just re-released both of the original two Baahubali movies as one massive Baahubali: The Epic which just hit theaters around the world. After the cliffhanger that ended Baahubali: The Beginning, The Eternal War will follow the betrayed & murdered prince Amarendra Baahubali (voiced again by superstar Prabhas) into the afterlife. Heart aching for those he left behind, Amarendra Baahubali finds himself at the center of an ancient cosmic war between devas and asuras. As he navigates through the 14 realms of existence, he forges an unlikely alliance, confronts divine forces, and fights to restore balance to the cosmos. Ramya Krishna also reprises her role from the films, voicing Sivagami again. These new animated movies are presented by Baahubali’s creator S.S. Rajamouli, and will feature screenplays written by Kevin Smith’s former producer Scott Mosier, and music by M.M. Keeravani. This first look teaser has new animation footage + some footage from the movies to get people hyped up even more. I dig the style of this – clearly inspired by Into the Spider-Verse and I’m fine with that.

Here’s the first teaser trailer for Ishan Shukla’s animation Baahubali: The Eternal War, from YouTube:

“When Ishan brought us the idea of expanding the Baahubali universe into a stylised animated epic, it clicked instantly. It feels like a seamless, organic extension of the world we built, one that will thrill long‑time fans and invite new audiences in. I am excited to bring these two films to the big screen.” –Filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli

His heart aching for those he left behind, Amarendra Baahubali finds himself at the center of an ancient cosmic war between Devas & Asuras. As he navigates through 14 realms of existence, he forges an unlikely alliance, confronts divine forces beyond mortal comprehension, & fights to restore balance to the cosmos. Baahubali: The Eternal War is directed by animation filmmaker Ishan Shukla, director of Schirkoa: In Lies We Trust and “The Bandits of Golak” episode of Star Wars: Visions previously. The screenplay is written by Scott Mosier (producer of many Kevin Smith movies); with dialogue by Deva Katta & Madhan Karky. Based on a story by Ishan Shukla & Sowmya Sharma. Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt And Vicky Kaushal’s Love & War Takes Over Independence Day Weekend In 2026 – Here’s What You Need To Know | Glamsham.com

by jummy84 November 1, 2025
written by jummy84

With the ongoing buzz and speculations, Variety has announced that Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s highly awaited film, Love & War, now eyes an August 14, 2026, release-perfectly timed with the Independence Day weekend. Although an official confirmation is awaited, the new date could mark the first-ever Independence Day release by Bhansali to strategically position the film for a long holiday run and strong prospects at the box office.

Independence Day has always been one of the most lucrative release windows in Hindi cinema, and big hits like Gadar 2 and Stree 2 cashed in on patriotic sentiment coupled with an extended weekend. In case of confirmation, Bhansali’s epic is most likely to reap benefits from a similar boost in audience appeal, considering the anticipation surrounding the project’s scale, pathos, and powerhouse cast.

The film was earlier scheduled to release on 20th March 2026. It is reported that the release has been pushed due to pending shoots. “About 125 days of the shoot are already done, but a big portion remains pending and that got the makers to shift the date. The official announcement will be made soon,” says a source close to the development.

This film, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, marks a reunion between Bhansali and Alia for the first time since Gangubai Kathiawadi, as he will be working with the other two for the first time. He will soon leave for Italy after wrapping up this schedule in Mumbai. Bhansali intends to shoot the movie’s climax in Sicily, which is a popular destination for beautiful scenic locations and its cinematic charm.

With Bhansali’s signature mix of visual grandeur, intense storytelling, and powerful music, Love & War has already been touted as one of the biggest cinematic events of 2026. And if the Independence Day release holds true, then it may just set the stage for a monumental box office spectacle in the forthcoming year.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali Cancels Italy Schedule For Love And War, Recreates It In Mumbai Instead! | Glamsham.com

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming magnum opus Love and War, starring Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal, is among the most anticipated films in Bollywood. While details about the film’s plot remain tightly under wraps, recent updates reveal that the director has chosen to recreate 1970s Italy in Mumbai instead of filming abroad.

As per a report in Mid Day, Bhansali had even planned a 45-day shooting in Italy to shoot important parts of the film. But the schedule was finally ditched because of logistical issues and lack of time. Instead, the director, famous for his visual magnificence and attention to detail, decided to take Italy to Mumbai by creating grand sets near Royal Palms in Goregaon.

A source from the production revealed, “The Italy schedule was proving to be logistically complicated and would have taken considerably more time to execute. Bhansali wanted to be able to preserve the luxury while having tight control over the setting, so he decided to recreate the Italian surroundings in a controlled studio environment.

The report added that Bhansali started the new schedule of shooting in early October, centering around scenes shot in a rich Italian club. The director reportedly shot a 10-day schedule with his lead actors prior to Diwali. True to his signature style, Bhansali made sure that all the details — from costumes and set design to lighting — were in line with the spirit of 1970s Italy.

The film promises to deliver a rich cinematic experience marked by Bhansali’s signature grandeur, emotional intensity, and timeless storytelling.
