Who Was Voted out on ‘Survivor’? Season 49 Eliminations Revealed

by jummy84 November 13, 2025
written by jummy84

[Warning: The following contains MAJOR spoilers for Survivor Season 49.]

Only nine players remain in Survivor 49 after Episode 8 aired on Wednesday, November 12, on CBS. There are now two members of the jury, and two players have broken out as the clear people to beat this season.

Survivor 49 Episode 8 featured a new advantage that gave the player who won the immunity challenge a lot of power at Tribal Council. The 10 players were divided into two groups of five for an endurance challenge. The winning team was determined by one player, and that player received the new advantage.

Savannah Louie ended up winning for her team, beating Sophie Segreti, who’s proving herself to be a challenge beast this season. Savannah’s advantage was delivered at tree mail, where she received the individual immunity necklace and was promptly taken to the beach, where the losing team was preparing for Tribal Council. Her closest ally, Rizo Velovic, was on the chopping block in those talks, but Savannah’s arrival turned the tide. This was a huge win for the alliance after one of their allies was eliminated in a blindside vote the week before.

Here, we’re compiling every Survivor 49 elimination so far, along with our episode recaps and exit interviews. Scroll down to find out who was voted out during this week’s episode, and keep checking back each week to see more results.

What Democrats Voted With Republicans Amid Shutdown? The 8 Politicians – Hollywood Life

A handful of Democrats and one Independent reached a key, tentative deal with Republicans to potentially end the historic government shutdown. As lawmakers face mounting pressure from airlines, Americans are hopeful that the agreement will end the pause and finally reopen the government.

As multiple figures from the left speak out against their colleagues for temporarily siding with the GOP, many are curious who the eight politicians are.

Below, find out which Democrats reached an agreement with the GOP to potentially end the government shutdown.

Did the Government Reopen Yet?

No, the government is still shut down as of November 10, 2025. The pause began on October 1, making this the longest shutdown in American history.

Although a handful of Democrats chose to side with Republicans temporarily, there’s still no definitive end in sight for the shutdown. If a new proposal is approved in the Senate, it will be passed down to the House for review.

The 8 Democrats Who Voted to Potentially Open the Government

It turns out that it was actually seven Democrats who sided with Republicans on November 9, and one Independent. The eight politicians are John Fetterman from Pennsylvania, Catherine Cortez Masto from Nevada, Jacky Rosen from Nevada, Dick Durbin from Illinois, Jeanne Shaheen from New Hampshire, Maggie Hassan from New Hampshire, Tim Kaine from Virginia and Angus King from Maine, who is the Independent in the group.

Kaine spoke to reporters from Capitol Hill that evening when the Senate adjourned. He explained how he and a few of his colleagues reached an agreement with the GOP.

— Sen. Bernie Sanders (@SenSanders) November 10, 2025

“I have long said that to earn my vote, we need to be on a path toward fixing Republicans’ health care mess and to protect the federal workforce,” Kaine said, according to The Hill. “This legislation will protect federal workers from baseless firings, reinstate those who have been wrongfully terminated during the shutdown, and ensure federal workers receive back pay, as required by a law I got passed in 2019. That’s a critical step that will help federal employees and all Americans who rely on government services.”

When Will the House Vote on the Shutdown?

According to multiple outlets, House members were told that votes on government funding are expected to take place this week. As long as the Senate passes the new deal, the House could vote on the funding sometime this week.

Katy Perry’s ‘Bandaids’ Voted Favorite New Music This Week

by jummy84 November 10, 2025
written by jummy84

“Bandaids,” the new single from Katy Perry, tops this week’s fan-voted music poll.

Music fans voted in a poll published Friday (Nov. 7) on Billboard, choosing Perry’s latest track as their favorite new release.

“Bandaids” made its arrival during a week that also saw new music releases from Rosalía, Hilary Duff, Kehlani and more, and brought in 44% of the vote.

The song about moving on following the end of a longterm relationship — Perry’s first since splitting with actor Orlando Bloom — has the pop star singing, “Got so used to you letting me down/ No use tryna send flowers now/ Telling myself you’ll change, you don’t/ Bandaids over a broken heart/ Tried all the medications/ Lowered my expectations/ Made every justification/ Bleeding out, bleeding out, bleeding out slow/ Bandaids over a broken heart.”

“tbh I struggled for months with the idea of putting this song out… even after all these years it can be scary to be vulnerable… but hopefully the lyrics of this song resonate with someone going through what I have been through and maybe they won’t feel so alone and will find the strength to keep going like I have,” she wrote to fans on Instagram.

Perry’s been on the road with her Lifetimes Tour since April, and is currently finishing up the European leg of the trek before making her way to China later this month.

Her last full-length studio album, 143, was released in 2024 and debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Among the new releases trailing behind “Bandaids” are Rosalía’s Lux, with 37% of the vote; Hilary Duff’s “Mature,” with 9% of the vote, and Kehlani’s “Out the Window,” with 2% of the vote.

Who left Strictly 2025? Fifth celebrity to be voted out revealed

by jummy84 November 2, 2025
written by jummy84

Halloween Week has seen another celebrity and professional leave Strictly Come Dancing following a strong night of performances.

But while last night saw the judges dish out their first perfect score of the series, a few other pairs were not so lucky, with four duos failing to hit the 30-point mark on the leaderboard.

Two of those pairs then had to face the dreaded dance off, with Ellie Goldstein and Vito Coppola coming up against Balvinder Sopal and Julian Caillon.

After performing their dances once more, the first three judges to vote – Anton du Beke, Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse – unanimously sided with Balvinder and Julian, eliminating Ellie and Vito from the competition.

Although not required to give her vote, Shirley Ballas confirmed that she, too, would have opted for Balvinder and Julian, though adding that she thought “Ellie was also outstanding throughout the whole competition.”

Following their elimination, Tess Daly said to Vito that “Everyone behind the scenes, everyone in front of the camera, everyone at home, can see what an incredible partnership you have had with Ellie and just how much it means to you.”

Vito himself told Ellie: “Honestly, there are no words I can use to describe how proud I am of you and you did really change my life so much. You made me such a better person.

“At the beginning of this year, I said to myself please, please please can you send me a beautiful angel into my life? And now you arrived.

“I’ve never had a little sister but I always wanted one. Now, I have you and you’re my little sister forever, and your big brother is always by your side.”

On dancing with Vito, Ellie said “I’ve enjoyed it so much! He is a kind person and all I wanted from day one. You have been so heartwarming, thank you to you [Vito].”

Vito then affirmed that the pair would continue to dance together despite their elimination.

With only nine couples remaining in the Strictly line-up, we now look forward to next week’s show, in which our dancers will be joined by the Band of the Royal Air Force Regiment to mark Remembrance Sunday.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on BBC One and iPlayer on Saturday 1st November at 6:35pm.

Who left Strictly 2025? Fourth celebrity to be voted out revealed

Strictly Come Dancing bid farewell to another celebrity and their professional partner this weekend following Saturday night’s Icons Week.

Despite both finishing in the top six of the judges’ leaderboard, the bottom two pairs when viewer voted were combined were Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Lauren Oakley, and Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin.

Following the dance-off, it was up to Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke to have their say – and they unanimously decided to save Amber and Nikita.

As a result, it meant Jimmy and Lauren were eliminated from the competition.

Speaking to Tess Daly at the end of Sunday night’s show, the former Chelsea footballer – whose American Smooth to Purple Rain on Icons Week was actually his highest score of the season – said: “I have absolutely loved my experience.

“I can only say thank you very much for letting me have this experience and to my daughters for pushing me to come here and do this. I never expected that I would enjoy it this much.”

Lauren said that she was “absolutely gutted” to be voted out, adding: “We’ve had so many laughs. We have had the best time and I am so proud of how far he has come.

“And it proves that anyone can be a dancer if you put your mind to it. He’s a footballer! And he just danced like that. I’m just so proud and I feel honoured to have been able to teach you.”

There are now just 10 couples left in the Strictly line-up – one fewer than anticipated at this stage in the season following Stefan Dennis’s withdrawal due to injury – and they all move on to Halloween Week next Saturday.

Elsewhere on yesterday’s show, Tess and Claudia Winkleman addressed their decision to leave the BBC series at the end of the year by thanking fans for their messages of support – and La Voix couldn’t resist a cheeky joke about the pair’s impending exit.

LE SSERAFIM, J-Hope's 'Spaghetti' Voted This Week's Favorite New Music

LE SSERAFIM, J-Hope’s ‘Spaghetti’ Voted This Week’s Favorite New Music

by jummy84 October 27, 2025
written by jummy84

LE SSERAFIM’s new collaboration with BTS’ j-hope has topped this week’s new music poll.

In a poll published Friday (Oct. 24) by Billboard, music fans chose the powerhouse team-up’s “Spaghetti” as their favorite new release of the week.

“Spaghetti” earned 77% of the vote, beating out new projects from Demi Lovato (It’s Not That Deep), Megan Thee Stallion (“LOVER GIRL”), Bruce Springsteen (Nebraska ’82), Daniel Caesar (Son of Spergy), Leon Thomas (Pholks), and more.

The track serves as the lead single from LE SSERAFIM’s eight-track HYBE compilation of the same name and marks j-hope’s first-ever feature on a K-pop girl group song.

Earlier in the week, the song was teased through a YouTube video titled “The Kick,” featuring j-hope in a Matrix-inspired outfit and shades, surrounded by flashing strobe lights. The clip ends with a snippet of LE SSERAFIM members — KIM CHAEWON, SAKURA, HUH YUNJIN, KAZUHA, and HONG EUNCHAE — delivering the line “eat it up.”

Speaking with Billboard Philippines, LE SSERAFIM shared insights into the making of “Spaghetti.” The song “expresses LE SSERAFIM’s charm that you just can’t get away from, like spaghetti that’s stuck in your teeth,” SAKURA said. “The part where we sing ‘eat it up’ over and over is the highlight, and since each of us members delivers it in our own styles, it adds even more playfulness to the song.”

LE SSERAFIM have been on a hot streak this year. In March, the group’s album HOT debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart, marking their fifth top 10 entry and second chart-topper after 2024’s Crazy.

Placing second in this week’s poll was Lovato’s new album, It’s Not That Deep, which secured 7% of the vote.

JISOO & ZAYN’s ‘Eyes Closed’ Voted Favorite New Music This Week

“Eyes Closed,” the new single from JISOO and Zayn Malik, tops this week’s fan-voted music poll.

Music fans voted in a poll published Friday (Oct. 10) on Billboard, choosing the pair’s duet as their favorite new release.

“Eyes Closed” made its grand entrance during a week that also saw new releases from Khalid; Gorillaz feat. Trueno and Proof; Alemeda and Doechii; HAIM and Bon Iver and more.

Bringing together a pair of mega pop stars — a former member of One Direction plus one-fourth of BLACKPINK — “Eyes Closed” blends two recognizable voices in one emotional ballad. Fans of both both flooded in to vote in this week’s poll, and their support led the singers to a landslide victory.

“Time is standing still and I don’t wanna leave your lips/ Tracing my body with your fingertips,” JISOO begins on the track, to which Malik sings back, “I know what you’re feeling and I know you wanna say it/ I do too but we gotta be patient.”

“‘Cause someone like me/ And someone like you/ Really shouldn’t work, yeah, the history is proof/ Damned if I don’t/ Damned if I do,” they sing through a chorus about opening their hearts to new love. “Oh, we should fall in love with our eyes closed/ Better if we keep it where we don’t know/ The beds we’ve been in/ The names and the faces of who we were with.”

Among the new releases trailing behind “Eyes Closed” on the poll: Khalid’s After the Sun Goes Down, Gorillaz featuring Trueno and Proof’s “The Manifesto,” Alemeda and Doechii’s “Beat a B!tch Up,” HAIM and Bon Iver’s “Tie You Down” and A Boogie Wit da Hoodie’s “Part of Me.”

Who left Strictly 2025? Second celebrity to be voted out revealed

Lewis Cope and Katya Jones topped the leaderboard with an impressive score of 37 for their Paso Doble to The Plaza of Execution from The Mask of Zorro.

The top three was rounded out by Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin, who were awarded 35 for their American Smooth to Sixteen Going on Seventeen from The Sound of Music.

Harry Aikines-Aryeetey and Karen Hauer’s Salsa to I Always Wanted a Brother from Mufasa: The Lion King earned them a respectable 32.

But it was a different story at the bottom of the leaderboard, with Ross King and Jowita Przystał’s Paso Doble to the theme from Thunderbirds Are Go earning just 19, despite encouraging remarks from the judges.

They were joined in the dance-off by Balvinder Sopal and Julian Caillon, who were ninth on the leaderboard with a score of 26 for their Foxtrot to The Way You Look Tonight from the movie Swing Time.

After a hard-fought battle, it was Ross King who was eliminated, with Craig, Motsi, and Anton all choosing to save Balvinder. Head judge Shirley also revealed that she would have saved Balvinder if her casting vote had been needed.

Speaking about his time on the show, a tearful Ross said: “I have loved every single minute of it. I would like to say thank you to everyone who has supported us, all the people who voted – they’ve been amazing.

“I want to thank everyone here in this room, backstage, the judges, the crew – every single person here has made me so, so welcome.

Ross then took a moment to thank his partner for all her support, describing her as “absolutely everything. She’s been a mentor, teacher, carer. I could not have wished for a better partner, and I could not have wished to be on a better show. Thank you, judges, for all your remarks.”

And Jowita was equally gushing about Ross: “Thank you so much for all of your work, for everything you have done during rehearsals. We laugh a lot – but we also cried! Thank you so much, and I hope I’m going to be a little part of your life forever.”

The remaining thirteen couples will return to the dancefloor next week.

Who left Strictly 2025? First celebrity to be voted out revealed

Amber Davies, Lewis Cope and George Clarke found themselves at the top of the leaderboard, with combined scores of 56, 55 and 54 respectively.

While Chris Robshaw, Thomas Skinner and Ross King were at the latter end with 30, 29 and 25 points, thanks to week one and week two points being combined.

However, it wasn’t the judges who’d be making the decisions, with the vote finally opened to the public.

Unfortunately for two celebrities, it was time for the dreaded dance-off, and Thomas Skinner and Chris Robshaw were the unlucky two.

Both couples performed their routines again. Thomas and Amy performed their Salsa to Bonkers by Dizzee Rascal and Armand van Helden, then Chris and Nadiya performed their Viennese Waltz to Die With A Smile by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars.

The judges unanimously voted to save Chris, meaning Thomas Skinner was eliminated.

Due to all the judges being in agreement, the head judge casting vote that was bestowed onto Motsi Mabuse was not used this week. Mabuse said that she would also have chosen to save Chris and Nadiya, should she have been required to vote.

When asked by Tess Daly about their time on the show, Thomas said: “I’ve loved it. I’ve never danced before and my stay was short, but Amy’s amazing. It’s been great fun and I’ve enjoyed it. I can’t really dance that well but I’ve had fun! Thank you, Amy – sorry that we haven’t done too good, ‘cause you’re a different class.”

Then asked her time on Strictly this year, Amy Dowden said: “I’ve got to know the real Tom, and he is adorable. He’s looked after me. We’ve laughed so much. We’ve worked so hard and a glitterball would have been amazing but what I’ve learnt in the last few years is happiness, health and being alive is more important than anything. I’ve made a new friend for life and I wouldn’t change a thing.

“There is a Ballroom boy in there so I’m a bit gutted he didn’t get to do the Ballroom, but the last three years as you know have been quite difficult for me. I lost all confidence as a dancer – but walking into the room with you with a massive smile and a laugh, you brought me back and, honestly, thank you.”

The remaining 14 couples will take to the dance floor next week for Movie Week, when Strictly Come Dancing returns at 6:05pm on Saturday 11th October.

Baylee Lynn’s ‘Cautiously Optimistic’ Voted Favorite New Music

by jummy84 September 1, 2025
written by jummy84

Baylee Lynn’s debut single “Cautiously Optimistic” tops this week’s new music poll.

In a poll published Friday (Aug. 29) on Billboard, music fans voted the 17-year-old singer-songwriter’s first-ever release as their favorite new track of the week.

“Cautiously Optimistic” earned 64% of the vote, beating out fresh releases from artists like Sabrina Carpenter (Man’s Best Friend), Hayley Williams (Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party), Zach Top (Ain’t In It For My Health), and Blood Orange (Essex Honey).

The Tennessee native’s debut, produced by AJ Pruis, is a country-pop anthem inspired by artists like Dolly Parton and Faith Hill that captures the emotional journey of navigating love after heartbreak.

“When we wrote ‘Cautiously Optimistic,’ I envisioned this song being one that most teenage girls can relate to,” Lynn said in a statement. “I know what it’s like to be the girl who’s scared of letting her guard down because she fears being hurt again — but also what it’s like to be the girl who’s so good at ignoring all the red flags. I am beyond thrilled for this song to finally be out in the world!”

The track was co-written by Lynn, Pruis, Kyle Sturrock and Brett Tyler.

Carpenter’s Man’s Best Friend took second place in the poll, pulling in 26% of the vote. The pop star’s seventh studio album, produced by Jack Antonoff, arrives just over a year after her Grammy-winning Short n’ Sweet, which topped the Billboard 200 for four weeks.

Williams’ Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party, a collection of previously released singles with a brand new song titled “Parachute,” came in third with nearly 4% of the vote.
