“It matters who pressed the shutter.” Netflix has debuted an official trailer for an acclaimed documentary film titled The Stringer: The Man Who Took The Photo, which first premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. The film is a fascinating deep-dive investigation in who exactly deserves the credit for taking a famous photo during the Vietnam War. The photo in question is the iconic “The Terror of War” shot with a screaming young girl published by the NY Times in 1972. A former Saigon photo editor reveals a secret he’s been plagued with for ~52 years – setting off a gripping two-year investigation into the truth behind one of the Vietnam War’s most iconic photos. Acclaimed conflict photographer Gary Knight and a small team of journalists embark upon a relentless search to locate and seek justice for a man known only as “the stringer” – a local Vietnamese photographer named Nguyen Thanh Nghe. This doc is a look into his story, the rest of his life, and how the photo was attributed to another photographer in the first place. Nguyen Thanh Nghe was also in attendance at the Sundance premiere, where he stated: “I took the photo.”

📸 Based on the Vietnam War photograph “The Terror of War” (originally taken on June 8th, 1972), more commonly referred to as Napalm Girl, depicting Phan Thi Kim Phuc running from a napalm attack, the documentary film questions whether it was credited to the correct photographer. It presents a two-year investigation on the matter, arguing that a photo stringer named Nguyen Thanh Nghe actually took it rather than the officially credited photographer Nick Ut who sold the shot to the Associated Press. The Stringer: The Man Who Took The Photo, aka simply The Stringer, is directed by Vietnamese American doc filmmaker Bao Nguyen, director of the doc films Live from New York!, Be Water, and The Greatest Night in Pop previously, plus TV series including “Open Secrets”. It’s produced by Fiona Turner, Terri Lichstein. This initially premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. Netflix will debut Nguyen’s The Stringer doc streaming on Netflix worldwide starting November 28th, 2025 this fall. Who’s interested?

Cardi B’s Done “Going to Vietnam” With Nicki Minaj In Online Exchange

Cardi B is done “going to Vietnam” with her opps online — at least for now.

After days of explosive online back-and-forth with Nicki Minaj (and a few jabs tossed toward JT), the Bronx rapper hopped on social media with her first video addressing the fiasco that was equal parts warning and reminder.

“Tonight, I’m not listening to Am I The Drama? I’ma listen to some love songs tonight,” she said in a clip while lying in bed. “Because, the way I’ve been in Vietnam, I need to chill. And lemme tell you something. I’ma go back to Vietnam. I’ma let bi**ches have their fun. Have your fun, but when I say I’m pretty and petty as f**k, ho*s think they’re ready, they ain’t ready enough. But have your fun though. I want you to have your fun.”

The clip, reposted by Live Bitez, sent fans scrambling for what could be her next move, aside from dropping her fourth baby in the upcoming months. “I love Cardi bruh… that second slide is really how all races in NY act too lmfaooo,” one user wrote as another chimed in, “I already know she has more surprises lol and I can’t wait!!!! She’s been sleeping for 7 years lol you really think she’s done. NOPE!”

The cryptic video came after one of the ugliest stretches yet in Cardi and Minaj’s decade-long feud. What kicked off with Nicki throwing shade at Cardi’s new album, Am I the Drama? — which still debuted No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and went platinum its first week — quickly spiraled into personal digs and even jabs to each other’s children.

While promoting her own upcoming project 2026 album NM6, Minaj mocked Cardi’s iTunes price point, called her “Barney B” and “Barney Dangerous,” and twisted lyrics from “Magnet” into taunts about surgery, her current pregnancy, STD’s, and her new boyfriend Stefon Diggs. At one point in their feud, she even implied she’d “kick” Kulture’s gums back “into formation” — a line that had Cardi threatening to pull her and “go to jail.”

Cardi clapped back by branding Minaj “Cocaine Barbie,” alleging past drug use and mental health issues, while firing off her own freestyled “ABC” verse: “A B C D E F G / Your man have to snatch PU**Y / Pu**y taste like honey comb / Your bro be touching 12 year olds.” She also reminded Nicki that after 16 years in the game, her competition isn’t with a girl from the Bronx who was in high school when she debuted — it’s with the Drakes, Rihannas, and Taylor Swifts of the world.

What seemed to be the most shocking jab was Nicki calling Cardi’s daughters a “monkey and roach” and even “ugly.” She then posted an alleged sarcastic “apology letter” addressed to Kulture a day later. In return, Cardi fired back with one to Minaj’s son, “Papa Bear” who she called “slow,” deliberately offering anything but an apology. Cardi even admitted that jabs about their children felt “nasty and dark.”

“Don’t give my child no backhanded apology, keep my child name out your mouth,” Cardi doubled-down posted. “Honest truth this goin back and forth about kids is really draining my energy. I don’t wanna keep mentioning kids — it feels very nasty and dark. But the energy you keep giving my kids imma resend back to messenger.”

For now, Cardi says she’s stepping back from the metaphoric “Vietnam,” but if fans know Bardi like they think they do, there’s more surprises in store.
