Why Victoria Beckham’s Business Was on the Brink of “Disaster”

As remembered by David Belhassen, whose Neo Investment Partners bought a third of Victoria’s business in 2017 and helped turn it around financially, he was initially a hard no on the prospect of getting involved.

“It was a disaster,” he said in the series. They “never made a profit. Frankly, I’ve never seen something as hard as that to fix.”

Belhassen said he changed his mind after complimenting his wife one night and finding out she was wearing Victoria Beckham—and she loved the brand.

To be able to help though, he explained, “I needed her to understand if she was really capable of accepting what had to happen. For years she had people telling her what she wanted to hear.”

Unnecessary expenses included “70,000 a year” on office plants, Belhassen said, and “someone was coming to water the plants for 15,000.”

Victoria admitted in the doc that her “entertainment background” led to overindulging.

“I didn’t realize it at the time, but the waste was mind-blowing,” she said. “I had 15 different linings for the insides of the outerwear…Bizarre things like flying chairs from one side of the world to another. I hear it now and I’m horrified, but I allowed that to happen. And I think part of the problem was, people were really afraid to tell me no.”

Per Fashion Network, Victoria Beckham emerged from the red in 2022.

bitchy | Princess Kate rewore her green Victoria Beckham suit for an event in Oxford

As promised, the Princess of Wales stepped out today in Oxford for an event about childhood development and children’s mental health. Tomorrow is World Mental Health Day, but Kate rarely works on Fridays, so she came out today. There’s a not-so-secret other reason why she scheduled this event today – it’s because the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be in New York this evening, receiving Project Healthy Minds’ Humanitarians of the Year Award for their work on The Parents’ Network. As I said before, Princess Copykeen had all kinds of reasons for stepping out today and trying to step on the Sussexes’ newscycle before the newscycle even began. Also note: this is also why the left-behinds are desperate to know Harry and Meghan’s schedules, so they can ride their coattails and organize their “royal schedules” to coincide with whatever Harry and Meghan are doing. King Charles and Camilla are also out today, I’m just sayin’. There is a hyperawareness in royal circles for Harry & Meghan’s announced events.

As for Kate, she wore an olive/puke green suit by Victoria Beckham. The Daily Mail seems to be treating this like a new-to-us VB look, but I double-checked it – this is the exact same suit Kate wore in May of this year. She just styled it differently. In May, she wore a tragic ruffled blouse in white. Today, she wore a matching top, which honestly makes the suit look a lot better. Less Austin Powers. But it’s still not a great look for her, let’s be honest.

Her event was a visit to a Home Start, and apparently Kate’s Early Years Foundation has sent out an “Explainer Series” for people who work with kids under the age of 5. Per the Sun, this is all about those animated short films made by Kate’s team, and the videos are part of the series? I have no idea. The busywork is getting confusing!

Cruz Beckham’s girlfriend ‘in awe’ of Victoria Beckham

9 October 2025

Cruz Beckham’s girlfriend Jackie Apostel is “in awe” of Victoria Beckham.

Cruz Beckham and Jackie Apostel joined his family at the Netflix premiere

The 29-year-old singer – who started dating Cruz in the summer of 2024 – has grown close to her boyfriend’s famous parents over the last year, and joined the Beckhams at the fashion designer’s Netflix documentary premiere on Wednesday (08.10.25).

In an Instagram post after the event, she wrote: “@victoriabeckham, we are all so in awe of you.

“To me, it’s the little things such as the fact that you wake up every morning, positive and ready to be a bright light to everyone around you that might need it, no matter what is going on with yourself.

“You want every single person you love to succeed and do their best and will do anything you can to help them, and gladly.

“On top of the unbelievably smart business woman that no doubt you are, that is definitely what impresses me the most every day. your resilience and drive is inspiring.

“glad everyone gets to see a little glimpse of the hard working, intelligent and hilarious person you are in this doc. we love u! (sic)”

Meanwhile, David and Victoria’s eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, 26, is believed to be estranged from the rest of the family.

She recently opened up about how she and her husband are “really close to the kids”, but failed to mention their eldest.

She told the Sunday Times Culture magazine: “Harper’s still 14, so she’s living at home. So is Cruz, who is 20. I see both of them every day.

“Romeo doesn’t live at home, so I see a little less of him.”

Brooklyn – who wasn’t present at the premiere this week – recently claimed he “never” worries about gossip as he praised his wife Nicola Peltz.

He recently told the Daily Mail newspaper: “There’s always going to be people saying negative things but I have a very supportive wife.

“Me and her, we just do our thing, we just keep our heads down and work. And we’re happy.

“Everyone is always going to say rubbish. I just try and do this, play some golf with some friends. It’s good fun.”

ABC

9-1-1

The long-running first-responder drama opens its ninth season with a tribute to the 118’s fallen leader, Bobby Nash (Peter Krause), as the crew prepares to dedicate the firehouse in his memory. But duty never stops calling, and they snap back into action for an emergency involving a billionaire tech giant in critical peril.

Golden Bachelor

The Golden Bachelor

The second season of The Golden Bachelor is available Wednesdays on ABC and streaming next day on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+. It’s the senior spin on the beloved dating reality show, with 66-year-old former NFL linebacker and lawyer Mel Owens searching for his later-in-life lover. This season is hosted by Jesse Palmer, a former Bachelor and NFL player himself. Fingers crossed he can help Owens find love.

Chris O'Donnell as Don — '9-1-1: Nashville' Series Premiere

Disney/Jake Giles Netter

9-1-1: Nashville

It’s a sign of the times, and the state of broadcast TV, that ABC’s only new scripted series this fall is that most reliable of standbys: a spinoff. Chris O’Donnell, who starred in one of TV’s most successful spinoffs (NCIS: LA), leads the ensemble as Captain Don Hart of Fire Station 113. In the premiere, he and his crew respond to a franchise favorite — a weather emergency — when a tornado rips through Music City, threatening a country-music festival. Jessica Capshaw (Grey’s Anatomy) co-stars as Don’s wife Blythe, whose well-heeled family brings a Dynasty vibe to Don’s working-class world when a scandalous family secret is revealed.

GREY’S ANATOMY - “Only the Strong Survive” - After the catastrophic hospital explosion, Grey Sloan’s staff scrambles to save not only their patients’ lives but also their own. Confronted with impossible surgical decisions and emotional turmoil, they fight to preserve life amid devastation. THURSDAY, OCT. 9 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EDT) on ABC. Grey’s Anatomy

Another year, another cliffhanger to resolve. Which is how Grey’s Anatomy kicks off its 22nd season, TV’s longest-running prime-time medical drama. The opener is in full crisis mode, and it’s all hands on deck as Grey Sloan’s staff scrambles in the wake of an explosion on the surgical floor. Link (Chris Carmack) appeared to be the doctor most immediately in danger, but we’ll know soon enough who gets to operate another day.

Miles Heizer as Cameron Cope and Liam Oh as Ray McAffey in 'Boots' Season 1 Episode 4

Netflix

Boots

“This is not like summer camp,” laments Cameron Cope (Parenthood‘s Miles Heizer), a closeted gay man who follows his best friend Ray (Liam Oh) into the Marines in 1990, when homosexuality was strictly forbidden (even predating “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”). Cameron also soon realizes that the “buddy system” isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be in a system designed to break down recruits and shape them into soldiers. This eight-part dramedy, based on Greg Cope White’s memoir The Pink Marine, has moments of whimsy — especially when Cameron’s anxiety-ridden inner self speaks out — but is also unexpectedly compelling in its coming-of-age story as Cameron makes unexpected alliances in his quest to discover what it is to be a man. “I’m such a Rose,” this Golden Girls fan sighs — which is probably something he should keep to himself for the time being.

Victoria Beckham

The road from musical stardom as Posh Spice to celebrated footballer’s wife to being accepted as a fashion designer hasn’t always been easy, says Victoria Beckham in a three-part documentary profile. “I have never forgotten where I come from,” she says, revealing her insecurities and desires as she prepares for “the biggest fashion show I have ever done.”

Saquon

With Martin Scorsese as executive producer, an intimate documentary spotlights Saquon Barkley, the Super Bowl champion running back for the Philadelphia Eagles. The film covers his career highs and lows (injuries) while also following him off the field as a devoted husband and dad. “It’s not who you are when you get knocked down,” says the resilient superstar athlete. “It’s who you are when you stand back up. That’s why I play the game.”

The 7 Biggest Takeaways From Netflix’s ‘Victoria Beckham’

by jummy84 October 9, 2025

In 2007, Victoria caused quite the kerfuffle when she attended a Marc Jacobs show. Marc wrote her a letter afterward, asking her to be in his campaign, and she agreed. When she saw the photos, though, “I was horrified.” They leaned into Victoria’s public image at the time and were far from glamorous. “It was very much poking fun at me, and that’s when I realized I was a laughing stock. No one took me seriously in this industry. I knew I wanted to be a designer. I knew I had a point of view. But I also knew that I needed someone to believe in me.”

A decade later, though, she returned to the concept. Now a designer in her own right, she found herself losing her way and her DNA fading from her brand. In an effort to “put Victoria Beckham back into Victoria Beckham,” she called Juergen Teller, who’d photographed her for that Marc Jacobs campaign, and asked him to recreate it for her own brand. “When he shot me 10 years ago, the laugh was on me. But I wanted to reclaim that image for myself.”

To make it in fashion, she had to “kill the WAG”

Crucial to Victoria’s success in fashion was the designer Roland Mouret, who became an important early mentor. “Roland saw something,” Victoria remembers. “We connected and he believed in me. He was very, very honest and really, really tough.” He told her that “the enemy was fear and lack of self-esteem. To make the dream become reality, we had to kill the WAG.” Victoria complied. “I buried those boobs in Baden-Baden,” she says. “I became a simpler, more elegant version of myself.”

Her partnership with David Belhassen saved her business

In the second and third episode, Victoria speaks candidly about the difficulties she faced in the fashion business, as her independent label was scaled up rapidly from intimate presentations to blockbuster shows. She eventually found herself backed into a corner, with losses running up to the millions and David, whose financial input had been essential, unable to keep investing. “The entire house was crashing down,” she remembers. “I was losing my business. I needed outside investment. I needed someone to help me.”

Victoria Beckham, David Beckham’s Love Story After Cheating Allegations

by jummy84 October 8, 2025

But the now-defunct News of the World ran a story in April 2004 detailing, via a source identified as a so-called “close family friend,” several sexual encounters David and Rebecca allegedly had after that night at the club in 2003, after which they allegedly continued to exchange racy texts. Victoria contacted Rebecca, the story claimed, warning her to back off.

So, a few months shy of the Beckhams’ fifth wedding anniversary, the British tabloids were having their own field day covering the increasingly explosive cheating allegations, which blew up further after Rebecca’s brother alleged his sister had “confirmed” to him that she’d had an affair with the soccer star in Spain.

Aides speaking for the family said Victoria’s subsequent trip to Switzerland was a long-planned vacation with her parents and mother-in-law, not a hasty escape from the public eye.

With the scandal refusing to go away, David broke his silence, saying in a statement: “During the past few months I have become accustomed to reading more and more ludicrous stories about my private life…The simple truth is that I am very happily married. I have a wonderful wife and two very special kids. There is nothing any third party can do to change these facts.”

Everything to Know About the Victoria Beckham’s SS26 Runway

by jummy84 October 4, 2025
written by jummy84

Victoria Beckham’s Spring/Summer 2026 show felt like stepping inside a coming-of-age film. Think the romantic intensity of Romeo + Juliet, the dreamy melancholy of The Virgin Suicides, and the experimental thrill of teenage dressing—all cited by Beckham as the source of her inspiration behind this collection. The self-reflective mood was inspired by a personal project Beckham has been working on: she is currently starring in an upcoming Netflix documentary that revisits her teenage years, Essex roots, early experiments with fashion, and even the Spice Girls era she’s been shy to talk about in recent decades. The process clearly stirred something creative in her and gave us a collection worth pulling inspiration from.

This collection was Beckham at her most nostalgic and most assured. While it drew inspiration from the innocence and adventurousness of her adolescence—feminine slip dresses, sharp corners, and romantic touches—it was executed with the polish and quiet confidence of a designer two decades into building a luxury fashion house. Below, discover the looks that stood out to us the most.

Pure Girlhood

The heart of the collection was about rediscovering the joy of dressing through the lens of Beckham’s coming of age moments. Beckham tapped into her teenage years—borrowing things from her Dad and boyfriends, experimenting with lingerie as outerwear, and finding herself through a love for fashion—to create pieces that felt nostalgic, modern, and feminine.

Fancy Feathers

We’ve seen feathers flounce down many, many runways this season but none looked like this. A modern, black swan-esque approach to this trend started off the show with a more structured and alluring take on feathers. Coming in as statment making tops and red carpet ready dresses, feathers just got redefined.

Sharp Corners

While the mood was dreamy and femininity was at it’s peak, Beckham balanced it with the signature tailoring she’s long been known for. Deconstructed trouser suits with built-in creases and pointed edges gave a structured counterpoint to the girlish softness, grounding the collection in the real-world wardrobe of grown women. This might just be the perfect upgrade to your corporate uniform.

Useful Accessories

Accessories carried a quietly practical edge this season from New York all the way to Paris and Beckham was on board. A few of the looks featured pendants that doubled as functional objects—a continuation of the clever styling tricks we clocked during New York Fashion Week. Bags were noticeably roomy, hinting at a return to accessories that actually do something, while menswear-inspired shoes grounded the romantic silhouettes with a dose of chic practicality.
