Vicious: Dakota Fanning Faces A Terrifying Psychological Mystery In Paramount’s Upcoming Thriller | Glamsham.com

by jummy84 October 13, 2025
written by jummy84

According to the official production notes from Paramount Pictures, Vicious is an upcoming psychological horror film starring Dakota Fanning as Polly, a woman whose life spirals into terror after receiving a mysterious box from a stranger late one night. The only instruction that comes with it is chillingly simple: place three things inside, something you need, something you hate, and something you love.

While the premise sounds deceptively small, what unfolds is far from ordinary. As Polly follows the instructions, her world begins to twist in disturbing ways. Reality fractures, memories blur, and she finds herself in an ever-tightening web of psychological horror. What begins as curiosity soon turns into survival as Polly faces not only an external evil but also the darkness within her own mind.

The film is directed by Bryan Bertino, known for The Strangers, and produced by Richard Suckle and Bertino himself. The supporting cast includes Kathryn Hunter, Mary McCormack, Rachel Blanchard, Devyn Nekoda, Klea Scott, and Emily Mitchell, each playing a part in what is rumored to be a story full of tension and emotional depth.

Though we do not know the full scope of the plot yet, Vicious is being described as a psychological descent that plays with the ideas of guilt, grief, and the human need for control. Early discussions around the project suggest that it may rely more on atmosphere and emotion than traditional jump scares, making it one of the most anticipated thrillers of the season.

Vicious releases on October 10, 2025, and will remain in theaters through early 2026. Based on available information, it appears to combine Bryan Bertino’s signature psychological tension with Dakota Fanning’s emotional range, setting the stage for a gripping and haunting cinematic experience.

Based on official Paramount Pictures production notes and publicly available information.

Get Ready For The Ultimate Entertainer: Ayushmann Khurrana’s Upcoming Films With Sooraj Barjatya And Dharma Productions | Glamsham.com

written by jummy84

Ayushmann Khurrana is ready to come back to the big screen this Diwali with Thamma, which is one of his most eagerly awaited films ever. At the recent silver jubilee staging of FICCI Frames 2025, the multi-talented actor not only expressed his enthusiasm about the film but also reiterated an impressive list of upcoming assignments that reflect both his mass appeal and his penchant for off-beat roles.

During his speech at the event, Ayushmann stated, “As for my slate, Thamma is my opening, big Diwali release. That will be followed by a Sooraj Barjatya film which again will be for a larger audience. Then I am also making a Dharma film which also would be for a larger audience. Lekin main beech mein panga leta rahunga. I’ll keep doing tedhi films as that’s my bread and butter!”

The new Sooraj Barjatya movie, under production in Mumbai, will feature Sharvari as well. Barjatya, famous for his family-related stories, disclosed in an interview with PTI, “He is a committed and good actor.”. It’s all about obtaining the correct story, and doing it in a way that makes it look real and making it with the correct cast.” Media reports indicate that Ayushmann could play the iconic role of Prem, which has been closely linked to Salman Khan’s legendary acts in Barjatya’s films.

Subsequent to this, Ayushmann will play a lead role in a Dharma Productions release that will be a different spy comedy directed by Aakash Kaushik. Directed by Karan Johar and Guneet Monga, the untitled movie has a mix of espionage, action, and comedy packed into a purely commercial offering. A source informed Pinkvilla, “The script tick marks all the boxes of a commercial film as it has scale, thrill, and action with a lot of comedy, and the trio of Karan, Guneet, and Aakash feel that Ayushmann Khurrana fits the character to the T.”

In the meantime, Thamma is creating huge hype before its release on October 21. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and penned by Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew, and Arun Falara, the movie is the fifth in Maddock Horror Comedy Universe. Ayushmann is playing the lead role of Alok in the film, which features Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Paresh Rawal, and Sanjay Dutt in important roles. The trailer, released at a lavish function in Mumbai with Shraddha Kapoor gracing the occasion, guarantees a bloody romance marinated in humor and terror.

With a combination of mass entertainers and off-beat films, Ayushmann Khurrana is obviously going to rule the screen next year.

Dick Van Dyke jokes about his upcoming 100th birthday

by jummy84 October 7, 2025
written by jummy84

7 October 2025

Dick Van Dyke has joked that it would be “funny” if he “didn’t make” his 100th birthday.

Dick Van Dyke turns 100 in December

The Mary Poppins legend will celebrate his milestone birthday on December 13 but quipped that he is not guaranteed to reach three figures.

Speaking at the Vandy High Tea event in California, Dick said: “That’s right. I’m not officially a hundred until December. Two months. Two months.

“It’d be funny if I didn’t make it.”

Dick later suggested that he “would’ve taken better care” of himself had he known he was going to live for so long and quipped that marrying his second wife Arlene Silver in 2012 is the only clever decision he has made.

The Chitty Chitty Bang Bang actor explained: “I brag sometimes about how I made it to a hundred and the truth is, if I had known I was going to live this long, I would’ve taken better care of myself.

“And it is frustrating because I don’t know what I did right. Other than her (Arlene), I didn’t do anything right.”

The beloved star has been a household name since the 1960s but previously confessed that he “never planned” to become an actor.

Van Dyke told New York Magazine earlier this year: “My whole life was unplanned. Just the next opportunity that came along — one great thing after another. I never planned anything.

“One job led into another one, and I just kept working and enjoying it. I’m a ham. I don’t know, something happens and I come alive and I want to perform.

“I would have starved in any other business. Being on the stage — there’s nothing like it in the world for anyone who can experience it. I pity the people who can’t get on the stage. Good God, it was fun!”

Meanwhile, Dick also recalled how he and Arlene – who is 46 years his junior – were told that their relationship would never work.

The star, who first met Arlene back in 2006, told People magazine: “We get along so well. Everybody said it wouldn’t work.”

The 54-year-old make-up artist added: “We just care about each other so much… I mean it’s like eerie how well it works. People the same age don’t last.”

Shailene Woodley opens up about feeling “vulnerable” singing in upcoming Janis Joplin biopic

by jummy84 October 5, 2025
written by jummy84

Shailene Woodley has opened up about feeling “vulnerable” doing vocals for the upcoming biopic Janis Joplin: Get It While You Can.

As was announced last year, Woodley is set to star in and produce a film charting the life of Joplin, who died at age 27 in 1970 from a heroin overdose. She was a singular force in the psychedelic rock scene, with the bluesy grit to her voice making her a standout.

With pre-production on the long-gestating project ongoing, Woodley has now told People that singing for the role was one of the hardest elements of stepping into Joplin’s shoes.

“Singing is very scary. It’s very vulnerable,” she admitted.

She is working alongside 4 Non Blondes’ Linda Perry on the feature, and has described her as “an incredible songwriter, singer and music producer”.

Speaking to EW last September, Perry said she was thrilled to see Joplin’s story brought to the screen after “waiting decades for this movie to be made”. She also described Woodley’s “emotional commitment and dedication” to the role as inspiring, saying she “lives for the art”.

“I can’t think of a better person to portray such a powerful, emotional, and complex artist,” she added.

As for embodying Joplin’s style, Woodley has also told Jimmy Fallon that they were given access to clothes from the era for the film, saying, “We have the outfits. Everything.”

The long-awaited feature received $2.49 million in funding from the California Film Commission, and Woodley said in a statement that it was significant given California “meant so much” to Joplin.

“I have a feeling Janis would be smiling ear to ear, zipping down the PCH in her psychedelic Porsche, knowing her story is bringing opportunities and funding to the city and people that held so much significance to her.”

There have been several attempts made to develop a biopic about the legendary singer previously, with Amy Adams, Zooey Deschanel, Pink and Melissa Etheridge among those attached at one point to play Joplin in films that never got to production.

Back in 2023, Margot Robbie also expressed an interest in portraying the rock star, telling NME: “I think everyone has been trying to do a Janis Joplin [movie] for a long time.”

At the time of writing, Janis Joplin: Get It While You Can has not yet been given an official release date.

Good Boy (2025) – Upcoming Paranormal Thriller | Glamsham.com

by jummy84 October 1, 2025
written by jummy84

Good Boy is set to arrive in theaters on October 3, released by Independent Film Company and Shudder. The film takes a familiar haunted house premise and shifts the perspective to a dog named Indy, who alone seems to recognize the dark forces hidden within. Indy and his owner Todd, played by Shane Jensen, leave city life behind to settle in a long-vacant family home. From the beginning, Indy is wary of the place.

He’s watching corners no one else notices, reacting to things unseen, and sensing echoes of the house’s violent past. As Todd begins to unravel under the weight of these unseen forces, Indy becomes the unlikely defender against a presence intent on pulling his human into the afterlife.

Directed by Ben Leonberg, who co-wrote the script with Alex Cannon, Good Boy has been described as a grounded paranormal thriller. Rather than a supernatural tale told through heightened spectacle, the film focuses on natural performances, lived-in spaces, and the instincts of a dog thrust into extraordinary circumstances.

Alongside Jensen, the cast includes Arielle Friedman as Vera, Larry Fessenden as Grandpa, and Stuart Rudin as Richard, with Leonberg himself appearing due to his close bond with Indy. The result is a story where horror blends with loyalty, offering a fresh take on the genre by asking what happens when the only one who sees the truth is the family pet.

Lola Young Cancels All Upcoming Shows

by jummy84 October 1, 2025
written by jummy84

This past Saturday (September 27), Lola Young collapsed while performing during All Things Go festival at New York’s Forest Hills Stadium. Now, the British pop singer-songwriter has announced she’s taking a break to prioritize her health. “I’m going away for a while,” she wrote in a statement on social media. “It pains me to say I have to cancel everything for the foreseeable future.”

“Thank you for all the love and support,” Young continued. “I’m so sorry to let anyone down who has bought a ticket to see me, it hurts me more than you know. Obviously you will be entitled to a full refund. I really hope you’ll give me a second chance once I’ve had some time to work on myself and come back stronger. Love you all, Lola x”

Over the years, Young has opened up about her various health struggles and diagnoses, including ADHD, schizoaffective disorder, and a 2024 rehab stay to treat cocaine addiction. Young pulled out of Audacy’s We Can Survive Concert in Newark, citing mental health concerns, prior to her fainting at All Things Go this past weekend. During her debut Coachella performance earlier this year, she also vomited onstage, which she later chalked up to nerves.

Young has been writing and recording music ever since she was a teenager, having landed spots in competition shows such as Open Mic UK and Got What It Takes? in England. Last year, her single “Messy”—from her sophomore album This Wasn’t Meant for You Anyway—achieved massive success, topping the UK Singles Chart for four weeks. Young released her third studio album, I’m Only F**king Myself, back in June.

The Joker could feature in upcoming superhero film ‘Clayface’, set photos reveal

by jummy84 September 10, 2025
written by jummy84

Photos from the set of the upcoming Clayface movie have given fans a new glimpse of the Joker – take a look at them here.

In an on-set photo shared on X (Twitter), a black-and-white poster reads, “Corruption is the enemy of the people,” with the text underneath saying, “March against the G.C.P.D. Park Row, Gotham. This Saturday, 2pm. JOIN THE JOKER.”

It comes after the Joker was first teased last month, with other behind-the-scenes photos revealing graffiti tags reading, “The Jokers”. Some have speculated that the character might be recruiting people to take a stand against the Gotham City Police Department.

The James Watkins-directed movie is filming in Liverpool and set for release on September 11, 2026, and stars Tom Rhys Harries as the titular character, also known as Matt Hagen, an actor whose face is disfigured by a gangster. As a result, he turns to a scientist (Naomi Ackie) who transforms his body into clay. Max Minghella and Eddie Marsan are also set to star.

It’ll be the third movie in the DC Universe franchise, part of its ‘Chapter One: Gods and Monsters’ slate.

Have fun with these! This was took yesterday by myself as the set was getting put together pic.twitter.com/vo0Zu99Ibf

DC Studios is currently developing The Brave And The Bold, which will showcase the franchise’s version of Batman for the first time, but Clayface could give fans a look at the Joker in the meantime.

Also in development at present is Superman follow-up Man Of Tomorrow, set for release in 2027, as well as The Authority, Swamp Thing, and an as-yet-untitled Wonder Woman movie.

Clayface’s first appearance in the DCU came in the first season of Creature Commandos and was voiced by Alan Tudyk. However, DCU co-creator said that Tudyk wouldn’t reprise his role in the movie because the character wasn’t Tudyk’s main role in the universe – he also voiced Doctor Phosphorus in Creature Commandos.
