‘Made In Korea’ Renewed For Second Season At Disney+, Release Date For S1 Unveiled

by jummy84 November 13, 2025
written by jummy84

Disney+ has renewed Korean crime series Made In Korea for a second season, with Season 1 debuting on the platform on December 24 this year.

Season 1 stars Hyun Bin (Crash Landing On You, Confidential Assignment), Jung Woosung (12.12: The Day, Hunt) and Woo Dohwan (My Puppy, Bloodhounds), who all appeared on stage at Disney’s APAC Showcase in Hong Kong.

Director Woo Min-ho reunites with Hyun Bin, who previously starred in Woo’s historical film Harbin.

Production has already begun on Season 2, which will premiere in late-2026.

Set in 1970s Korea, the first season of Made In Korea follows Baek Kitae (played by Hyun Bin), an ambitious KCIA agent who is living a double life.

Driven by his thirst for power, Kitae works as an agent by day and a smuggler by night. Suave, cunning and capable, Kitae rapidly moves up the ranks after using his smuggling operation to consolidate power, protect his brother (played by Woo) and generate vast sums of money for the agency.

Seemingly unstoppable, only one person stands in his way — a tenacious prosecutor, Jang Geon-young (played by Jung) who can’t be bought or bribed. With everything at stake for both men, the series will follow the duo as they look to take each other down.

Made in Korea is written by Park Eunkyo (Sea of Tranquility, Mother) and Park Joonseok (A Normal Family).

The series is produced by Hive Media Corp, with two episodes set to premiere on December 24.

Another two episodes will premiere on December 31, with one episode releasing January 7 and the finale debuting January 14.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ First Look in S.S. Rajamouli’s Film Unveiled

by jummy84 November 13, 2025
written by jummy84

“RRR” director S.S. Rajamouli has unveiled the first look of Priyanka Chopra Jonas as Mandakini in his upcoming globe-trotting adventure film.

The film is described as “an original action-adventure epic following heroes on a series of perilous missions around the world.”

Ever since the global smash hit “RRR” claimed the Oscar for best original song and recalibrated Indian cinema’s global ambition, Rajamouli has set his sights higher. The film unites the director with Telugu cinema superstar Mahesh Babu and welcomes international star Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Malayalam powerhouse Prithviraj Sukumaran.

The title of the film will be revealed at a fan event in Hyderabad this weekend.

Rajamouli’s earlier two-part “Baahubali” saga, re-edited as “Baahubali: The Epic,” landed this year as a single film.

Jonas returns to Indian cinema with a splash with Rajamouli’s film, portraying the enigmatic Mandakini’ in a first look that sees her in a mustard saree, pistol in hand, balanced on a cliff edge.  Her recent credits include her Prime Video film “Heads of State” (2025), alongside Idris Elba and John Cena, and her short-film contribution to the Oscar-nominated “Anuja.”

Telugu cinema superstar Mahesh Babu is working with Rajamouli for what is billed as his 29th film (hence the working title SSMB 29).  His recent release, “Guntur Kaaram” (2024) was a box office success and now he’s stepping into a much larger, globe-spanning canvas.

Originating from Malayalam cinema, Prithviraj Sukumaran is now a pan-India star with film like “Salaar” and the “Lucifer” franchise. Already known for intense roles across systems, his participation signals the project’s ambition to blend South Indian star power into a unified global offering.

Statue of rock n’ roll queen Tina Turner unveiled in Tennessee community where she grew up

BROWNSVILLE, Tenn. — A 10-foot statue of rock n’ roll queen Tina Turner was unveiled Saturday in the rural Tennessee community where she grew up — before becoming a Grammy-winning singer, an electrifying stage performer, and one the world’s most recognizable and popular entertainers.

Statue of rock n’ roll queen Tina Turner unveiled in Tennessee community where she grew up

The statue was revealed during a ceremony at a park in Brownsville, located about an hour drive east of Memphis. The city of about 9,000 people is near Nutbush, the community where Turner went to school as a child. As a teen, she attended high school just steps from where the statue now stands.

The statue shows Turner with her signature wild hairdo and holding a microphone, as if she was singing on stage. It was designed by sculptor Fred Ajanogha, who said he tried to capture her flexibility of movement on stage, how she held the microphone with her index finger extended, and her hair style, which he compared to the “mane of a lion.”

Turner died May 24, 2023 at age 83 after a long illness in her home in Küsnacht near Zurich. Her Grammy-winning singing career included the hit songs “Nutbush City Limits,” “Proud Mary,” “Private Dancer,” and “We Don’t Need Another Hero,” from the film “Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.” Her movie credits also include “Tommy” and “Last Action Hero.”

Turner teamed with husband Ike Turner for hit records and live shows in the 1960s and ’70s. She survived her troubled marriage to succeed in middle age with the chart-topping “What’s Love Got To Do With It,” released in 1984.

Her admirers ranged from Mick Jagger to Beyoncé to Mariah Carey, and she was known as the “Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll.”

The unveiling was part of the annual Tina Turner Heritage Days, a celebration of her life growing up in rural Tennessee, before she moved away as a teenager. The statue was sculpted in clay by Ajanogha in Atlanta and cast in bronze by a West Tennessee foundry, and it took about a year to complete. It is 7 feet and 9 inches tall with a base of 2 feet, making it stand about 10 feet high .

Karen Cook said she traveled from Georgia to attend the event with her friend, a cousin of Turner’s, to honor the legendary performer.

“She’s a great artist, I love her music,” said Cook, 59. “My mom listened to her a lot. It’s a big deal and a great thing for the community to have Tina Turner in her small town.”

About 50 donors gave money for the statue, including Ford Motor Co., which donated $150,000. Ford is building an electric truck factory in nearby Stanton.

The statue stands near a museum honoring Turner at the the West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center in Brownsville. The museum opened in 2014 inside the renovated Flagg Grove School, a one-room building where Turner attended classes in Nutbush. The school closed in the 1960s and was used as a barn before the dilapidated building was moved by tractor-trailer from Nutbush to Brownsville.

Armenian project “Black Star Angel” claimed the top prize at the Asian Project Market (APM), a key component of Busan’s Asian Contents & Film Market, as organizers announced winners across 30 competing film projects.

Director Christine Haroutounian took home the highest honor — the APM Busan Award — for her second feature “Black Star Angel.” Eve Baswel’s “Heaven Helps Us!” and Yoon Eunkyoung’s “Gochi” emerged as the ceremony’s biggest winners, each securing two awards.

The three-day event, featuring pitching sessions and one-on-one meetings, connected filmmakers with international co-producers, financiers and global distributors.

Jordanian filmmaker Darin J. Sallam, whose debut “Farha” represented Jordan at the 95th Academy Awards, won the ArteKino International Award for her sophomore project “Churching of Women.”

Jury head Christian Jeune praised “Black Star Angel” as a “project shows great maturity in dealing with a universal question: what does it mean, ‘personal commitment,’ in a world torn by confuse and violence.”

“Busan is amazing. APM has just been like very welcoming and also very well organized,” Haroutounian told Variety. “I met people from all over the world with such different backgrounds. For them, to be able to really connect to this material that is very niche and very specific, really made me feel like I’m on the right track without diluting anything from the vision of the film.”

Mohanlal’s Vrusshabha Teaser Unveiled, Diwali Release Locked

by jummy84 September 19, 2025
written by jummy84

The makers of Vrusshabha, starring Mohanlal, have dropped a teaser that sets the tone for an ambitious saga. Directed by Nanda Kishore, the film is set to release theatrically on October 16, coinciding with the Diwali festival.

The teaser hints at a narrative that cuts across two timelines, one rooted in the present day and another in a grand historical setting. Mohanlal takes centre stage in the period sequences, where he appears as a king, donning regal armour and exuding authority amid breathtaking visuals.

Star Cast, Crew and Creative Team Behind the Vision

Alongside Mohanlal, the film features Samarjit Lankesh, Ragini Dwivedi, Roshan Meka, Shanaya Kapoor, Zara Khan, and Srikanth Meka in key roles.

Vrusshabha is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, C.K. Padma Kumar, Varun Mathur, Saurabh Mishra, Abishek S Vyas, Praveer Singh, Vishal Gurnani, and Juhi Parekh Mehta. The project is presented by Connekkt Media and Balaji Telefilms in association with Abishek S Vyas Studios.

On the technical side, music is composed by Sam CS, while dialogues are penned by SRK, Janardhan Maharshi, and Karthik. The visual style and action choreography are helmed by a strong crew: Antony Samson (cinematography), KM Prakash (editing), Nanditha Singh and Mohan B Kere (production design), and stunt masters Peter Hein, Stunt Silva, and Nikhil.

What Audiences Can Expect This Diwali

Fans are excited about the contrast teased in the promo: a modern storyline interwoven with an epic past. Mohanlal’s turn as a warrior-king has already become a highlight, drawing praise for its scale and grandeur.

Production is now in its final stages, with dubbing and post-production nearing completion. The film is being positioned as a festive spectacle for Diwali, promising to showcase Mohanlal in a role that blends mass appeal with mythic scale. With a powerhouse cast, lush production values, and a story that spans eras, Vrusshabha is shaping up to be one of the season’s biggest releases.

POWERFUL DIALOGUES UNVEILED! The Bengal Files Sheds Light On A ‘buried Story Of Hindu Gen*cide’ | Glamsham.com

Movie director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri has released the long-awaited trailer of his new movie The Bengal Files, to be released on September 5. The trailer was released on Direct Action Day (August 16), a date in the past that remembers violent riots in Bengal during 1946. The movie will uncover the dark, savage wake of the Partition of India, with special reference to the Hindu massacre in West Bengal.

A Story Hidden in History

The trailer begins with a powerful exchange of lines: “Yeh Pashchim Bangal hai, yaha do constitution chalta hai, ek Hinduao ka, ek Musalmanon ka” (This is West Bengal, where two constitutions run—one Hindu and one Muslim).
Another speaks, “Sirf Zameen ka tukda nahi, Bharat ka light house hai Bangal” (Bengal is not a fragment of land, it is the lighthouse of India), emphasizing the region’s historical and cultural importance.

In a statement, the creators called the film “an exposé of the brutal Hindu genocide that mainstream narratives have long buried.”

Stellar Cast and a Bold Vision

With a talented ensemble featuring Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Mithun Chakraborty, and Bengali actors Saswata Chatterjee and Sourav Das, The Bengal Files promises to create intense discourse on previously ignored chapters of Indian history.

Audiences have praised Agnihotri’s bold decision to bring this story to screen. One viewer commented, “As an Indian Bengali, I’m thankful a filmmaker had the courage to tell this truth.” Another added, “This film is not just for Bengal, but for all of India.”

Made on Zee Studios, I Am Buddha, and Abhishek Agarwal Arts, The Bengal Files is the third installment of Agnihotri’s Files Trilogy following the critically successful The Kashmir Files and The Tashkent Files.

We have dialogues from the trailer of The Bengal Files starring Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumar. Check out The Bengal Files Dialogues below:

Trailer of Arjun Das Starrer Bomb Unveiled

by jummy84 August 30, 2025
written by jummy84

Arjun Das is back with Bomb, and this time the actor steps into a world that is equal parts eccentric and eerie. The trailer, unveiled earlier this week, opens in a rustic village setting where superstition collides with the absurd. One scene even has the locals mistaking a man for dead — only for him to let out a fart, sending the crowd into chaos. It’s a taste of the off-beat tone the film promises, with humour and mystery sitting side by side.

The film is helmed by Vishal Venkat, who made his mark with Sila Nerangalil Sila Manidhargal. Here, he also co-writes the script alongside Manikandan Mathavan and Abishek Sabarigirison, with additional dialogues by Makizhnan BM.

Ensemble Cast, Strong Crew, and Musical Flourish

Backing Arjun Das in Bomb is a line-up packed with familiar faces: Kaali Venkat, Shivathmika Rajashekar, Nassar, Abhirami, Singampuli, Bala Saravanan and more. The film is produced by Sudha Sukumar and Sukumar Balakrishnan under the Gembrio Pictures banner, with D. Saravana Kumar also attached as producer.

On the technical side, the team features some heavy hitters. Rajkumar PM is behind the lens, while Prasanna GK handles editing duties. Manoj Kumar takes charge of art direction, and Monster Mukesh choreographs the stunt sequences.

Music comes from D. Imman, and the album already has buzz thanks to a rich set of singers including KS Chithra, Pushpavanam Kuppusamy, Haricharan, Swetha Mohan, Madhu Balakrishnan, Dharshini Rajkumar and Meghna Suresh. The lyrics are penned by Mani Amuthavan, Chandru K, Rakendu Mouli and Jayra, promising a mix of soulful and folk-tinged tracks that tie into the rural setting.

Trailer of Arjun Das-starrer Bomb unveiled

Why Bomb Stands Out

Unlike conventional village dramas, Bomb leans into satire with a sprinkle of magical realism. The trailer hints at themes of superstition and collective belief, but filters them through comedy, giving the film a refreshing edge. Arjun Das, known for his intense screen presence in thrillers like Kaithi and Andhaghaaram, is taking an unexpected detour here — trading dark, brooding roles for something lighter and more experimental.

With its oddball premise, colourful characters, and a soundtrack rooted in tradition, Bomb has set itself apart in the September release calendar. The film opens on September 12, 2025, and promises a theatrical experience that’s as unconventional as its trailer suggests.
