At its heart, Haq is a gripping courtroom drama that goes beyond legal proceedings to explore deeper themes of belief, equality, and truth. Yami Gautam plays Shazia, a woman whose relentless fight for justice defies both societal norms and systemic constraints. Her courage to challenge injustice ignites a national conversation on women’s autonomy and faith. Opposite her, Emraan Hashmi portrays her husband — a lawyer who becomes her unexpected opponent in court. Also starring Sheeba Chaddha, Danish Hussain, Aseem Hattangady, and debutante Vartika Singh, the film is based on journalist Jigna Vora’s book Bano: Bharat Ki Beti. Produced by Junglee Pictures, Insomnia Films, and Baweja Studios, Haq releases in theatres on November 7, 2025.
