The Real Reason Diljit Dosanjh Calls Punjabi Music ‘Unmatched’ Will Surprise You! | Glamsham.com

Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh, whose natural charm and honesty have won him millions of fans, recently revealed the inspiration behind his new album and world tour, Aura, in a recent episode of Spotify’s Gal Baat. The actor-singer revealed how the title had been inspired by his fans, who used to tell him how the energy he exudes on stage is something special. “They would say, ‘Your aura hits different when you perform live,’” Diljit smiled. “So when naming time came for the tour and the album, I thought, that’s it. Aura isn’t a title — it’s the connection that flows between me and my fans.”

Described as a celebration of connection and positivity, Aura captures the infectious vibe that defines Diljit’s live performances. With sold-out concerts across continents, he continues to elevate Punjabi music on the global stage, blending cultural pride with universal appeal.

Even with his busy schedule, Diljit explained how he is inspired by little, mundane things. “Whenever I have a break, I go to a park where people sing voluntarily — sometimes I join them. That spontaneity helps me be grounded and creative,” he added, highlighting that pure joy and raw music power his creative spirit.

Looking back at his inspirations, Diljit honored late Punjabi legend Amar Singh Chamkila by referring to his music as timeless and fearless. “Chamkila’s rhythms remain unbeaten,” he added. “Indian music is wonderfully diverse, but Punjabi music just has that flow — it gets people moving.”

From Coachella to his international Aura tour, Diljit’s path is the embodiment of the global ascension of Punjabi music. With humour, humility, and heart, he continues to bridge the cultures and remain rooted — showing that his “aura” isn’t one-dimensional in his shows, but in the pride he induces in Indian music worldwide.

Filmfare Flashback: Shatrughan Sinha on Rekha’s Unmatched Professionalism

by jummy84 October 10, 2025

She becomes a different person on the sets than what she is in real life. Given how moody she is in real life, it’s remarkable how she has always remained patient on the sets. Even after 15 or 20 retakes given by her co-stars on the sets, she has never lost her cool. She has always exhibited the zeal and enthusiasm of a newcomer. Even today, she rushes to the monitor to see the results of her work. Her capacity for experimentation and learning is remarkable. I fondly recall our first song together, Pyar ka samay, from Raampur Ka Lakshman (1972), where I danced with Rekha. It was unforgettable. I only took 13 retakes to match steps with her. We’ve experienced many highs and lows in our careers together and have worked on several films together like Raampur Ka Lakshman, Do Yaar (1972), Kashmakash (1973), Kahtey Hain Mujhko Raja (1975), Parmatma (1978), Jaani Dushman and, Muqabla (1979), Chehre Pe Chehra (1981), Maati Maangey Khoon (1984) and many more.

Rekha

My wife, Poonam (Sinha) shares a close bond with Rekha, their birthdays fall close and it’s heartwarming to see her always reach out to wish Poonam. Thanks to my Sawal Jawab column in Filmfare, where I sometimes comment on her and she doesn’t always take it sportingly, we’ve had periods where she hasn’t spoken to me for a time. I remember a film where I starred along with Rekha, Khoon Bhari Maang (1988), directed by Rakesh Roshan, where we managed to convey so much on screen without even speaking to each other in between shots. It was Poonam who brokered peace between us. Made us shake hands. Indeed, Rekha has consistently proven to be a great professional, reminding us of the grace of Hema Malini. Let me add here that there was a time when because of my stupidity and her childishness, Hema and I weren’t on speaking terms but still completed many films together successfully.

It’s truly fitting that Filmfare is compiling this thesis on Rekha’s birthday—she deserves every bit of recognition. As she celebrates her 70th year, we must give full credit to the one and only Rekha, who has maintained her elegance, grace and mystique throughout the years.

Identity and Smyle unite to reinvent client experience and disrupt the industry with unmatched expertise

Two of the UK’s most celebrated experience and event agencies, Identity and Smyle, are today announcing their strategic decision to unify under a single brand: Identity, launching in November.

While consolidation in the events and experiential industry often signals increased costs and disruption for clients, this unification is designed to do the opposite: deliver greater creative and experiential capabilities at better value, while maintaining the same teams and culture. It will position the new organisation as one of the world’s most comprehensive independent agencies.

The move brings together the award-winning talent, creativity, and delivery expertise of both agencies under one name, providing clients with a broader, deeper, and more efficient suite of services.

Smyle is renowned for creating insight-driven, memorable experiences for brands including Amazon, TikTok, Adobe, and Salesforce, while Identity brings extensive capabilities in large-scale event management and a strong heritage delivering high-profile public sector and major international events, including COP26 and COP28, the King’s Coronation, and London’s New Year’s Eve celebrations. The transition will culminate in the unveiling of a refreshed Identity brand in November 2025.

As part of this next chapter, the group’s specialist brands – gaming and e-sports agency NJ Live, content creation specialists Dreamlike Studio, employee experience agency Powered by Humans, and sporting event experts The Sports Presentation Company – will also be joining the new-look Identity’s journey, strengthening capability while driving smarter delivery for clients.

“Both Identity and Smyle are performing exceptionally well in their own right,” said Michael Gietzen, CEO of Identity. “But the market is evolving, and clients expect more. With this unification, we’re combining talent, technology, and global reach to deliver more for clients, without compromise on cost or creativity. It’s about disrupting the expectation that scale means expense and showing that unification can unlock real value.”

Olivier Vallee, Managing Director of Identity, said: “This is a moment of strength. By unifying now, we combine scale with specialism, delivering enhanced experiences for clients in a more efficient and effective way. Our teams’ talent remains the cornerstone of everything we do.”

Dominic Thomas-Smith, Managing Director of Smyle, added: “We’ve always shared a belief in the power of experience. This alignment is not just strategic, it’s disruptive. Together, we’re challenging industry norms and creating something greater than the sum of our parts, for clients and for our people.”

The newly unified Identity will continue to expand its international footprint. While headquartered in the UK, the agency already operates globally, with an established presence in the UAE and Saudi Arabia and a new office opening on the US East Coast in October.

This announcement is a statement of intent: to lead the global experience and events industry into a new era, while remaining deeply connected to what makes them meaningful: people, creativity, and impact.
