Jennifer Lawrence Embraces ‘Boho Blonde’ Hair With a Low-Maintenance Twist

by jummy84 September 28, 2025
written by jummy84

Jennifer Lawrence is one of the main arbiters of the minimalist boho aesthetic, so it’s no wonder she put her own spin on the boho blonde trend for fall 2025.

On September 26, the 35-year-old actor hit ththe Olsen Twinse Die My Love red carpet at the San Sebastian International Film Festival wearing an asymmetrical Phoebe Philo dress one could immediately picture on one of the Olsen Twins, given its nearly shapeless floor-length design. The olive-grey dress was both complicated and understated, featuring a gathered fabric design that’s cinched with a skinny leather belt to create an open back and exposed waist.

To further her boho agenda, Lawrence paired the unique look with a pair of unexpected slouchy black boots and a low-maintenance blonde refresh that compliments the overall aesthetic.

Earlier this summer, Lawrence promoted her movie at the 78th annual Cannes Film Festival with her favored honey-blonde highlights and curtain bangs. Now, she’s rocking much sandier roots and an overall tone that closer resembles the shade of her brows, resulting in a more natural look that should require fewer visits to the salon to upkeep.

James Gunn on Peacemaker Twist, Brandon Sklenar as Batman

by jummy84 September 28, 2025
written by jummy84

[This story contains spoilers through Peacemaker season two’s sixth episode, “Ignorance Is Chris.”]

When Peacemaker creator James Gunn conceived season two’s seismic twist, the first person he consulted was his Leota Adebayo actor, Danielle Brooks.

Throughout the second season, Christopher “Peacemaker” Smith (John Cena) has been enamored with an alternate dimension that he was able to access via his family’s Quantum Unfolding Chamber (QUC). Earth-2 seemingly provided him with everything he’s been lacking in his own dimension, including a caring version of his father (Robert Patrick’s Auggie), an emotionally available Emilia Harcourt (Jennifer Holland) and a grown-up version of his brother, Keith (David Denman). The latter didn’t suffer the same accidental childhood death that Earth-1’s Keith did at the hands of his younger brother, Chris.

By the end of season two’s fifth episode, “Back to the Suture,” Chris decided to permanently relocate to Earth-2 so that he could finally be the son, brother, romantic partner and well-regarded hero that’s eluded him in his own world. However, he was so caught up in his own personal life that he couldn’t see the forest for the trees. This dimension’s Evergreen, Washington, which he put on a pedestal, turns out to be a round-the-clock “sundown town,” a place that excludes people of color. The reason being is that Earth-2 consists of an alt-history in which the German Reich won World War II.

The 11th Street Kids of Harcourt, John Economos (Steve Agee), Vigilante (Freddie Stroma) and Adebayo had already set out to rescue Chris from Earth-2, and Harcourt’s instincts as an agent who minds her surroundings picked up on the white supremacist haven almost immediately.

Thus, given how sensitive the idea could potentially be for Brooks as a Black actor, Gunn made sure she was his first call.

“When I wrote episode 206, I sent it to Danielle, and I was like, ‘This is where we’re going with this. Tell me what you think.’ And she was really into it,” Gunn tells The Hollywood Reporter. “You’ve got to check yourself with things like this. It’s good to be aware of what you’re dealing with when it comes to audiences’ emotions and feelings. So Danielle was my first stop in making sure that it was all kosher.”

Peacemaker season one may have redeemed Chris for killing Joel Kinnaman’s Rick Flag Jr. in Gunn’s The Suicide Squad (2021), but the surviving Squad characters of Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Bloodsport (Idris Elba) and Ratcatcher 2 (Daniela Melchior) aren’t privy to the story the audience has seen. In fact, they probably still believe Peacemaker is dead from one of Bloodsport’s bullets. But Gunn doesn’t have any interest in revisiting that conflict because he’s already exploring it with Rick Flag Sr. (Frank Grillo).

“Now, I’m not saying that those characters won’t reappear. I’m just saying that I am [already] dealing with Peacemaker’s guilt over killing Rick Flag Jr. and his repercussions for that,” Gunn says. “That story is being told through his relationship with Rick Flag Sr. To tell it through Bloodsport, who was friends with Rick Flag Jr., would be an emotionally diminished story compared to the one I’m telling now. So it doesn’t interest me at all.”

Gunn currently hosts Peacemaker: The Official Podcast, an episodic aftershow with Holland, Agee and various guests from the series. During a previous episode, Gunn mentioned in passing that he was watching Taylor Sheridan’s 1923. That detail sparked a flurry of speculation that he was checking out popular Batman fan-cast, Brandon Sklenar, who was the breakout star on that particular Yellowstone prequel. Sklenar recently spoke to THR about his ardent desire to play the next Dark Knight.

Unfortunately, Gunn says that his viewing of 1923 was unrelated to his search for the DCU’s Batman.

“I’m definitely not doing scouting for the Caped Crusader. But I’m always scouting when I’m watching TV shows,” Gunn says. “In fact, I really like the young woman [Julia Schlaepfer] in 1923. She is just so fantastic that I suggested her for something recently. She’s Brandon’s [Sklenar] significant other in that series.”

Gunn is a preexisting admirer of Sheridan’s sprawling TV universe, but that doesn’t mean he’s not a fan of Sklenar’s.

“I’m watching [1923] because I like Taylor Sheridan’s stuff, especially that one. That’s my favorite of all his shows,” Gunn shares. “So I’m watching it mostly for fun, and I’m definitely not watching it because I need to find a Batman. By the way, I love [Sklenar]. I think he’s great. I really do. I honestly think he’s great.”

Below, during a recent spoiler conversation with THR, Gunn also discusses Nicholas Hoult’s return as Lex Luthor, as well as how his job as co-CEO of DC Studios has made him feel more compassion for his former Marvel boss, Kevin Feige.

Peacemaker season two has been asking whether the grass is truly greener on the other side, and “Ignorance Is Chris” has answered that question with a resounding no.

The original episode title for this episode [206] was “The Grass Is Always Meaner.”

How did you arrive at an Earth-2 in which Nazi Germany won World War II?

It comes from Christopher Smith’s personal journey of running away and his inability to accept the place in which he is. When you think of it not in terms of the political — but in terms of the personal and how that represents our own specific journeys and lives — we try to run away from where we are and who we are and what’s in our lives. The inability to accept where we are is the root of all our issues.

Christopher Smith does this in a physical way, going from one dimension to another that’s as different from his own life as can possibly be imagined. His father is a loving father, his brother is alive and the girl he’s in love with is fawning over him and thirsty. So he has everything he thinks is different from what he has [in his own world] because he’s not willing to accept the challenges of his own life. Of course, that is a sort of monkey’s paw, and it ends up being way worse than where he started. So I see it from a personal journey perspective, and then it just so happens to coincide with political stuff in our own world.

The dynamics that Danielle Brooks has to play in this world without visible people of color are a lot heavier than the rest of the 11th Street Kids. How would you sum up your conversations with her about this concept?

Well, she was the first person I checked with. When I wrote episode 206, I sent it to Danielle, and I was like, “This is where we’re going with this. Tell me what you think.” And she was into it. She was really into it.  So she was the first person I checked with, and you’ve got to check yourself with things like this. We can all tell stories that people are affected by or affect them emotionally in ways that we don’t understand. I’ve learned that over the years, and while that doesn’t mean I don’t choose to tell the story anyway, it’s good to be aware of what you’re dealing with when it comes to audiences’ emotions and feelings. So Danielle was my first stop in checking that out and making sure that it was all kosher.

Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor is also reintroduced at Belle Reeve prison. Does Rick Flag Sr.’s (Frank Grillo) offer of redemption lead straight into your Superman follow-up, Man of Tomorrow?

Well, I would say one of the important things is Flag and Luthor’s relationship. It continues into Man of [Tomorrow], yeah. It definitely continues. Their relationship is a part of the DCU going forward.

Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor, Frank Grillo’s Rick Flag Sr. in Peacemaker.

Courtesy of HBO Max

A month or two in prison seems to have changed Lex. Did you direct Nick to be a bit darker or edgier?

He did that naturally. I think it just comes from the text, really. He’s darker because he’s been chewed up by a Superdog, and he’s now in prison for the rest of his life. But part of it is that there’s a more naturalistic feel to the dialogue and a less heightened feel in Peacemaker than in Superman. So the character just naturally and subtly shifted due to that.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special referenced Batman, and now Peacemaker has referenced Spider-Man. Those characters don’t actually exist in either world, but their media does.

That’s right.

Did anyone have to make a courtesy call to Sony or Marvel?

Nope. I also didn’t when I put Batman in [the Holiday Special]. But listen, I talk to those guys. We’re all good.

I’m always curious about how the role of studio head is treating you. Have there been moments that have recontextualized your past Marvel experiences? Have there been instances where you better understood what Marvel boss Kevin Feige was going through at the time or why he had to make a certain decision?

Yes, it’s mostly in the day-to-day thoughtfulness of Kevin Feige and talking to him and seeing him sitting there, thinking. I often see myself doing the same thing with directors or writers. So I understand Kevin more 1759031666, and I’ve learned a lot from him. I always liked Kevin. I never had problems with Kevin in terms of working with him. It was a really, really good partnership. The same with [Marvel Studios co-president] Lou [D’Esposito]. So it was a really good situation.

I haven’t ever been like, “Oh, I complained about this thing about Kevin, and now I see where it is with me.” If there’s one thing that I sometimes would complain about, it was the looseness of things. It was where they were going or where they were heading and how they were connected, or what they were doing with my characters and this or that. So I probably have a little bit more compassion for him in that respect because things shift and change all the time. It’s hard.

Joel Kinnaman, John Cena, Margot Robbie, Peter Capaldi, Idris Elba in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad.

Jessica Miglio/DC Comics/Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc.

The magic trick of Peacemaker season one is that you managed to redeem Chris (Cena) to the audience after he killed Rick Flag Jr. (Joel Kinnaman) in The Suicide Squad. But he’s not redeemed in the eyes of Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Bloodsport (Idris Elba) and Ratcatcher 2 (Daniela Melchior). They may not even be aware that Chris survived the Corto Maltese mission. Do you hope to resume that conflict someday?

No.

I’m surprised to hear that.

No, not really. I don’t [hope to resume that conflict]. People are always asking me about stuff from The Suicide Squad, and The Suicide Squad is a difficult thing because it is not DCU. But there aren’t too many things in it that aren’t [DCU]. Unlike Peacemaker season one — which is completely DCU, besides the ending and one or two mentions of different things — The Suicide Squad brings up more questions than answers.

Now, I’m not saying that those characters won’t reappear. I’m just saying that I am [already] dealing with Peacemaker’s guilt over killing Rick Flag Jr. and his repercussions for that. And that story is being told through his relationship with Rick Flag Sr. To tell it through Bloodsport, who was friends with Rick Flag Jr., would be an emotionally diminished story compared to the one I’m telling now. So it doesn’t interest me at all.

I heard you say on the official Peacemaker podcast that you’ve been watching a television program called 1923.

That’s right.

Besides entertaining yourself, were you also doing some scouting for the Caped Crusader?

I’m definitely not doing scouting for the Caped Crusader. But I’m always scouting when I’m watching TV shows. I’m always watching characters. In fact, I really like the young woman in 1923. She is just so fantastic that I suggested her for something recently.

Julia Schlaepfer?

Yeah, she’s so, so good. She’s Brandon’s [Sklenar] significant other in that series. But I’m watching it because I like Taylor Sheridan’s stuff, especially that one. That’s my favorite of all his shows. So I’m watching it mostly for fun, and I’m definitely not watching it because I need to find a Batman. (Laughs.) I know what your question is, but that’s not the reason I’m watching it.

Sorry, Brandon. I tried.

By the way, I love him. I think he’s great. I really do. I honestly think he’s great.

Strictly Come Dancing confirms format twist that’ll ‘change everything’

by jummy84 September 28, 2025
written by jummy84

Strictly Come Dancing has announced a major change to how the judges cast their votes, with the power being stripped ever so slightly from Head Judge Shirley Ballas.

For the last seven years, the ultimate deciding vote on which couple will stay in the competition has been down to Shirley but now things will change as the power is given to every single judge.

Each week the deciding judge will rotate, with the first casting vote to be announced at the end of next week’s Saturday night show.

The news was revealed at the very end of tonight’s Strictly Come Dancing episode, as Shirley Ballas said: “For seven years I’ve been responsible for one gruelling decision, which hasn’t always been easy. But that’s about to change. It’s time that power was shared by a different judge each week.”

As the celebrities reacted to news, Vicky Pattison noted: “This changes everything,” while Harry Aikines-Aryeetey added: “It’s fair to say I’m going to do everything I can do to not be in that dance off.”

This isn’t the first change to voting on this year’s show either, with the BBC announcing it had scrapped premium-rate voting.

The BBC said that “this is now an outdated system and also expensive to run”, with the Eurovision Song Contest the last major BBC show to offer televoting.

From now one, the public will be able to cast their votes solely online, which you learn more about in this handy voting guide.

But those eager to vote will have to wait until next week, as no celebrity will be leaving the competition in the first week.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on BBC One and iPlayer.

Aryan Khan’s directorial venture, The Ba*ds of Bollywood, has made waves since its release on September 18. Featuring Lakshya Lalwani, Raghav Juyal, and Bobby Deol in central roles, the series has received acclaim for its dramatic storytelling and engaging storyline. Things take a dramatic and emotional turn in the finale, filled with twists that rework the tale’s center.

The climax starts with Aasmaan Singh (Lakshya Lalwani) being arrested following a fiery argument with experienced actor Ajay Talvar (Bobby Deol) during an awards ceremony. Soon, the actual motive of their altercation is revealed—Ajay got Aasmaan out of a Karan Johar movie. The astounding reality is a stun for Karishma Talvar (Sahher Bambba), Ajay’s daughter, and she goes on a spree of rebellion and gets confined within the house.

Once Aasmaan posts bail, he gets a call from Karishma who reveals how she feels for him. His best friend Parvez (Raghav Juyal) helps him sneak into the Talvar house and rescue her. There is a high-speed chase in a car with Ajay chasing them wildly. The three of them finally reach an old movie studio where a lawyer stands waiting to marry Aasmaan and Karishma.

Just prior to the ceremony, Ajay and Aasmaan’s mother, Neeta (Mona Singh), both arrive. In a dramatic confrontation, Neeta discloses that she had a past relationship with Ajay—making Aasmaan their son and Karishma his sister. She also confesses that she had asked Ajay to have Aasmaan taken off the film to keep the secret safe.

Are your taste buds craving something special, yet sticking close to home flavours? Every once in a while, our culinary senses look for a gastronomic twist that is both comforting and adventurous. Kokum is one such coastal fruit from western India that’s gaining spotlight and becoming the hero ingredient of familiar dishes, but this time, adding the tarty coastal flavour to beloved dishes like sweet cheesecakes. Surely, this coastal fruit has the potential to surprise your palate.

Chef Arun Kumar, sous chef at The Ashok, New Delhi, shared with HT Lifestyle the flavour note of this fruit. Remarking how versatile it is, Chef Arun said, “It has this beautiful natural tartness that works surprisingly well with everything from creamy desserts to savoury toppings.”

Kokum gets a whole new makeover with interesting recipes you may already be familiar with, like milk bars, cheesecake, and flatbread, each elevated with the fruit’s tangy twist.

Chef Arun revealed three delicious kokum recipes that you can try:

1. Kokum and coconut milk bars

It is a tropical no-bake treat that blends tart kokum with creamy coconut.(PC: The Ashok)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1.5 cups full-fat coconut milk
  • 1⁄4 cup freeze-dried raspberry powder
  • 1⁄2 cup desiccated coconut
  • 1/3 cup kokum concentrate (or reduce 2 cups kokum juice by half)
  • 1⁄4 cup maple syrup
  • 1⁄4 cup agave syrup
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil (melted)
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Coconut flakes (toasted), for garnish
  • Edible gold leaf or dried kokum petals, for finishing

Method:

  • Prepare the base: In a food processor, pulse the rolled oats and desiccated coconut until they resemble a coarse flour. Add maple syrup, melted coconut oil, and a pinch of salt. Blend until the mixture is sticky and holds together. Press firmly into a parchment-lined loaf pan to form an even base. Freeze for 15 minutes.
  • Make the filling: In a saucepan, whisk together the coconut milk, kokum concentrate, agave syrup, and vanilla extract. Gradually sprinkle in the cornstarch while whisking to avoid lumps. Cook over medium heat, stirring continuously, until the mixture thickens (about 7–8 minutes). Let it cool for 10 minutes.
  • Assemble: Pour the cooled filling over the prepared base. Freeze for about 1 hour, until set but not fully solid.
  • Finishing touch: In a small bowl, mix the raspberry powder with 1 tsp water to create a vibrant paste. Swirl it gently over the surface of the bars using a toothpick or skewer for a marbled effect.
  • To serve: Slice into bars and garnish with toasted coconut flakes, dried kokum petals, or a touch of edible gold leaf for a festive finish.

Tip: These bars store well in the freezer. Let them sit at room temperature for 5–7 minutes before serving for the perfect bite.

2. Kokum and chilli crisp flatbread

Kokum and chilli crisp flatbread is layered with tangy kokum oil, creamy avocado, and fiery chilli crisp.(PC: The Ashok)

Ingredients:

Base:

For Kokum oil (prepare ahead):

  • 1⁄2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 15–20 dried kokum pieces (approx. 1⁄4 cup)
  • 1 tsp black peppercorns, lightly crushed

Toppings:

  • 3–4 tbsp chili crisp
  • 1 ripe avocado, thinly sliced
  • Flaky sea salt, to taste
  • Toasted sesame seeds
  • Microgreens
  • Edible flowers (optional, for garnish)

Method:

  • Infuse the kokum oil (do this at least 1 hour in advance): In a small saucepan, gently warm the olive oil, dried kokum, and crushed peppercorns over low heat for 8–10 minutes, do not let it simmer. Once the oil turns a rich burgundy, turn off the heat and let it steep for 45 minutes. Strain through a muslin cloth or fine sieve and set aside.
  • Crisp the flatbread: Brush the sourdough flatbreads generously with the kokum oil. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for 8–10 minutes, until the edges turn golden and crisp.
  • Assemble: While still hot, spoon chilli crisp generously over the surface. Top with sliced avocado, a sprinkle of flaky salt, sesame seeds, and microgreens.
  • Finish and serve: Drizzle with extra kokum oil in zig-zag patterns and add a few edible flowers for an elegant, vibrant finish. Serve warm or at room temperature.

3. Kokum and white chocolate cheesecake bites

Ingredients:

For the base:

  • 120g digestive biscuits
  • 50g melted butter
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

Cheesecake filling:

  • 225g cream cheese
  • 100g white chocolate (melted and cooled)
  • 60g powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 120ml heavy cream

Kokum swirl:

  • 3 tbsp kokum concentrate
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp powdered sugar
  • Edible gold leaf, for garnish

Method:

  • Prepare the base: Crush the digestive biscuits into fine crumbs and combine with melted butter and brown sugar. Press 1 tsp of this mixture into the bottom of each cavity in a mini cupcake or silicone mould tray. Chill in the fridge for 15–20 minutes.
  • Make the filling: In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Fold in the cooled, melted white chocolate. Gently fold in whipped cream until the mixture is light and combined.
  • Kokum swirl: In a separate bowl, mix kokum concentrate, lemon juice, and powdered sugar. Reserve a small portion of the cheesecake filling (about 3 tbsp) and blend it with 1 tsp kokum mix to create a vivid magenta swirl paste.
  • Assembly: Spoon or pipe the white filling over the biscuit bases, leaving about 2mm at the top. Dot each with a small amount of the kokum swirl paste and use a toothpick to gently swirl — don’t overmix.
  • Finishing touch: Chill until set, then gently unmould and garnish each bite with a tiny flake of edible gold leaf using tweezers.

Tip: These bites are perfect for entertaining — make them a day in advance and store chilled for best results.

The chef noted that these kokum can be personalised and experimented with further ingredients, for example, by adding fresh berries to the coconut bars, or using kokum oil to liven up roasted vegetables or eaten even for a simple salad.

T.J. Finally Explains the Season 41 Points Twist

by jummy84 September 11, 2025
written by jummy84

[Warning: The following post contains spoilers for The Challenge, Season 41 Episode 7, “At Least Someone’s Getting Laid!”]

Let’s get this out of the way first: Yes, the title of this episode is reflective of the fact that The Challenge house became hookup central for a pair of players: Nany González, who was coming out of a very serious relationship, and Will Gagnon, who was the sadboy who punched a wall at the beginning of the season over Dee Valladares hooking up with Johnny Bananas. Yes, the cameras captured a copious amount of the action and shared it with audiences. And yes, everyone talked about it and made crude jokes, with the parties involved laughing as much as anyone.

It’s typical Challenge fashion to have a few sultry showmances throughout the season — some that last, and some that, like this one, apparently, are just purely physical and temporary.

Moving on! The daily challenge was the show’s first-ever grand prix-style episode, fit with go-karts and a series of puzzles that the players had to take turns trying to solve. Called “Drive Me Crazy,” the game had 13 stations with one car and four stacked puzzles. One member of the pair had to drive laps, and the other had to figure out the puzzle, and they took turns until it was done. Chris “C.T.” Tamburello initially struggled with the car because of his size — “I feel like Bowser,” he joked at his own expense — but with Aneesa Ferreira at his side, the two managed to become true contenders in the challenge. They came this close to finishing first, but that honor went to Nany and her partner, Leo Dionici. The day’s losing pair was Tay Wilcoxson and Yeremi Hykel.

Nany and Leo had to choose who to save from the jury vote for the arena — with Tay automatically going in, since it was a women’s elimination day — and she picked her newest BFF Ashley Mitchell without much incident.

The jury then had to choose who to send in against Tay, and while others like Jonna Mannion and Dee also came into the mix, the vote ultimately went to Izzy Fairthorne (who was partnered with Will).

In the arena, titled “Pick It Up Again,” Tay and Izzy had to shoot hoops and build towers while their ball went through a giant gameboard, catching the ball before it got all the way through to the ground. Izzy struggled dearly with it, thanks in part to the fact that her platform was already leaning, but Tay stuck with it and emerged victorious. With that, Izzy went home, Will became the automatic hangnail, and new teams were chosen.

In the selection, the following new teams were made: Nany and Cedric Hodges; Leo and Olivia Kaiser; Aneesa and Jake Cornish; C.T. and Michaela Bradshaw; America Lopez and Gabe Wai; Derek Chavez and Aviv Melmed; Justin Hinson and Ashley; Sydney Segal and Yeremi; Jonna and Turabi “Turbo” Çamkıran; Dee and Theo Campbell; Leroy Garrett and Tay.

Then came some real excitement: Host T.J. Lavin finally, finally revealed what the points the players have been collecting all season will be good for. Whoever has the most points will get their first pick for their teammate for the rest of the season, he revealed. The only limitation is that they’ll have the same criteria as the prior selections: “Opposite stripe, opposite gender,” he said. He still didn’t reveal when exactly this ultra-selection ceremony will occur, but at least we now know what that tallyboard has in store for the remaining contestants.

Emmerdale sets up dangerous twist for Aaron Dingle in ITVX release

by jummy84 September 3, 2025
written by jummy84

At the end of Tuesday’s (2nd September) episode, John left captive Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) alone in the underground bunker, telling him he wouldn’t be coming back.

This came after Mack told John about Aaron’s fling with Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley), claiming John would never be able to compete with the love Robert and Aaron shared.

John believed that Mack was lying, but things are set to take a turn for the worse after John and Aaron return to the village to visit Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter).

Robert visits Aaron ITV

Chas is upset when Aaron reveals his and John’s plans to move to John’s childhood home.

Aaron downplays his concerns about John’s suspicious behaviour, but Chas senses something is off.

Sonu Nigam Returns With Modern Twist To Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor’s Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari Song Bijuria

After days of fan anticipation and social media buzz, the reimagined version of Sonu Nigam’s chartbuster “Bijuria” has officially been released, and it’s poised to become the dance anthem of 2025. Featuring Bollywood’s dynamic duo Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, the high-octane music video is a vibrant celebration of rhythm, passion, and modern flair, while paying homage to the original 90s classic. The song is part of the soundtrack for an upcoming entertainer, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, directed by Shashank Khaitan. The film also stars Rohit Saraf, Sanya Malhotra, Maniesh Paul and many other talented actors, promising a fresh ensemble cast that brings both charm and chemistry to the screen. The film is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on October 2, 2025.

Sonu Nigam Returns With A Modern Twist To Bijuria

The new version of Bijuria has been reimagined, composed, and produced by Tanishk Bagchi, with additional lyrics penned by him as well. The original song was composed by Ravi Pawar, with lyrics written by the maestros Sonu Nigam and Ajay Jhingran. The track is sung by the iconic Sonu Nigam, and Asees Kaur adds a modern twist, bringing freshness, sass, and an irresistible groove to the vocals. With electrifying choreography, state-of-the-art visuals, and a pulsating new arrangement, “Bijuria” is ready to make waves across the globe.

The music video showcases Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor turning up the heat with their sizzling chemistry and infectious energy, delivering a visual spectacle that’s as glamorous as it is high voltage. From their catchy hookstep to the dazzling aesthetics, every frame bursts with festive vibrance and cinematic flair. The dynamic visuals, paired with the track’s pulsating rhythm, position “Bijuria” as the perfect curtain-raiser to what promises to be a larger-than-life cinematic experience.

Sonu Nigam On Bijuria

Singer Sonu Nigam said, “‘Bijuria’ is one of those songs that has lived many lives. When we first recorded it, I had no idea it would be so loved and would last so long, evergreen, as if eternal. Revisiting it now decades later feels like a full-circle moment. I’m humbled that the original vocals still resonate enough to be part of this reimagined version. Tanishk has infused it with an electrifying new sound, and Asees has added her own flavour that elevates the track. Varun and Janhvi have made the track special with their amazing dance moves. Bijuria for me is nostalgic, it’s fresh, and it’s made to make people dance all over again.”

Varun Dhawan On Bijuria

Sharing his excitement, Varun Dhawan said, “When I first heard this new version of Bijuria, nostalgia hit hard and I knew it was something special. There’s a connection and a vibe we’ve all grown up listening and dancing to, but this version has a fresh, crazy energy that matches the madness of our film and makes you want to get up and dance. Shooting this with Janhvi and getting the OG Sonu Nigam sir singing the track was a fun experience, the hookstep, beats and the vibe has been stuck in my head ever since. I hope this song plays at every party in the coming festive season.”

Janhvi Kapoor On Bijuria

Talking about the song, Janhvi Kapoor added, “Bijuria has always been one of those tracks that makes you want to get up and dance, and bringing it back in this film has been such a fun experience. The new version is a perfect mix that has the old charm with a new freshness that makes it impossible not to groove. Shooting with Varun and the team was an absolute blast. I think this is going to be one of those tracks that people will hold close to their hearts and also dance their hearts out to.”

Tanishk Baghchi On Bijuria

Composer Tanishk Bagchi said, “Reimagining a song like ‘Bijuria’ comes with a huge sense of responsibility. You don’t just remix, you reinterpret. The goal was to keep the essence of what made the original so iconic, while giving it the kind of edge and tempo that today’s audiences expect. Having Sonu Nigam’s voice in the track gave it authenticity and soul, and Asees brought a fierce, playful energy that gave the song a brand-new identity. It’s both a tribute and a celebration, and hopefully something that bridges generations.”

Asees Kaur On Bijuria

Singer Asees Kaur said, “Singing ‘Bijuria’ alongside Sonu Nigam sir is truly special — it’s a song I grew up loving. I wanted to bring my own bold and playful energy to it while staying true to its iconic vibe. Tanishk gave it a fresh, fiery sound, and I’m thrilled to be part of this powerful reimagining that bridges nostalgia with now.”

Get ready to lose yourself in the beats of Bijuria as it sets the tone for Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari as not just the rom-com of the year but also a musical blockbuster in the making. The track is an absolute start of a celebration that will echo across dance floors, wedding sangeets, and parties all season long. The film is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on Dusshera, October 2, 2025.

Monsoon friendl Malunggay Pesto Pasta: Here’s how to add a healthy twist to your favourite pasta recipe

There’s something magical about a bowl of pasta on a rainy day. The steam rising off the plate, the comforting bite of al dente noodles, the silky sauce that clings to every strand — it’s the kind of food that feels like a hug. But here’s the dilemma: while pasta is soul food, it doesn’t always feel like the healthiest option when you’re trying to keep an eye on your waistline. Enter moringa pesto pasta, the green goddess of rainy-day meals.

Malunggay Pesto Pasta(Rezel Kealoha)

Moringa — also called malunggay — isn’t just a buzzword ingredient; it’s a nutritional powerhouse. Packed with antioxidants, vitamins, and a whole lot of leafy green goodness, it makes for a surprisingly delicious twist in a creamy pesto sauce. And the best part? This version is dairy-free, nutty, and vibrant without being heavy. The recipe is from Astig Vegan.

What you’ll need

200 grams of spaghetti, linguine, or fettuccine, 1 tbsp of moringa, 10 to 12 basil leaves, ¾ cup plant-based milk, ¼ cup almonds (or any nuts, your pick), 1 tsp sea salt and 2 tsps of lemon juice

How to whip it up

First, boil your pasta until perfectly al dente. While that’s bubbling away, blitz the moringa, basil, olive oil, milk, nuts, salt, and lemon juice in a blender until it turns into a creamy green sauce. Taste and tweak — maybe more lemon if you like it zippy, maybe more olive oil if you want it silkier. Toss it with your pasta and let the strands soak up all that green magic.

Here’s a little secret: if nuts feel too pricey or hard to find, you can skip them. Add a splash more milk and oil to make up for the creaminess. It won’t be quite as rich, but it will still taste fresh and satisfying.

So the next time you’re craving comfort food without the guilt, give this moringa pesto pasta a spin. It’s wholesome, fun, and just the thing to brighten up a gloomy monsoon evening.

Law Order SVU Season 21 Finale - Fin Lawsuit Wrongful Death Ice T

SVU Star Ice-T Talks Season 27 Premiere Twist

by jummy84 August 30, 2025
written by jummy84

Fin Tutuola will take a beating when Law & Order: Special Victims Unit returns for its 27th season, according to Ice-T.

“In the first episode, something bad happens to me, and I end up in the hospital,” the rapper-turned-actor told People in a new interview as he hyped up SVU’s September 25 return.

In fact, it sounds like Fin’s hospitalization might take the NYPD sergeant out of commission for a while.

“I wasn’t in the second episode, but I’m back in the third,” Ice-T said. “They move us around.”

Virginia Sherwood/NBC

The longtime SVU star said he and his fellow cast members “have no idea” where the show is heading, with the possible exception of Mariska Hargitay (Olivia Benson), since she’s also an executive producer of the NBC series.

“Until we get a script, we don’t know,” he explained. “When I showed up for the first episode, I’m like, ‘Oh, I’m getting my ass beat? Really?’ In the past, it was like, ‘Oh, you’re gonna get married this year.’ I’m like, ‘Married to who?’ ‘Right — Phoebe.’ I was like, ‘I’m in, I guess.’”

(Fin and Phoebe Baker, played by Jennifer Esposito, were engaged to be married in Season 22 but ultimately decided to keep their relationship the way it was.)

Still, Ice-T says he’s enjoying the job. “I’ve been on Law & Order for over 25 years now,” he said. “And filming for the new season has been great.”

And it’s great in part because Kelli Giddish is coming back to play Amanda Rollins full-time.

“I’m in love with everybody on the show, so it’s good to be back with her,” Ice-T told People. “Kevin [Kane] and Aimé [Donna Kelly] came on as series regulars. So you know, we pass the buck around.”
