‘Chad Powers’ Trailer Sees Glen Powell Go Undercover as a QB

by jummy84 August 31, 2025
written by jummy84

Glen Powell is unrecognizable in the first full-length trailer for his new Hulu comedy Chad Powers. Powell formally debuted the trailer Saturday on ESPN’s College GameDay.

Produced by former star NFL quarterbacks (and current ESPN personalities) Eli and Peyton Manning, Chad Powers sees Powell playing Russ Holliday, a hotshot quarterback who destroyed his playing career after making an unforgivable, vanity-driven mistake in a college football championship game.

Eight years later, he seeks redemption, under heavy makeup and prosthetics and under the pseudonym, Chad Powers.

“South Georgia is having open tryouts? I am going to do a Mrs. Doubtfire, but with football,” Powell says at one point in the trailer (below).

Chad Powers debuts on Hulu Sep. 30 with two episodes. New episodes will stream on Tuesdays for the subsequent four weeks.

The show can trace its origin to a sketch that starred Eli Manning in 2022, in which he put on prosthetics and attended an open tryout at Penn State, with a camera crew capturing the disbelief from other players and attendees.

Eli Manning and Powell spoke to The Hollywood Reporter for this week’s cover story about making the show.

“What made Eli’s thing so magical is the viewer knew Eli Manning was under [the disguise]. So, let’s use the lie at the center of this thing, which creates inherent fun conflict over the course of the series,” Powell told THR. “We were like, ‘OK, we’re going to Tootsie this thing. Let’s Mrs. Doubtfire it, and let’s see how far we can take this lie.’ “

EManning serves as executive producer along with Omaha Productions’ Peyton Manning, Jamie Horowitz, Ben Brown and ESPN’s Burke Magnus, Brian Lockhart, Kati Fernandez. Waldron and Adam Fasullo are executive producing for Anomaly Pictures. Luvh Rakhe will executive produce and Tony Yacenda will serve as director and executive producer. The series stars Powell, who is also co-creating, co-writing and executive producing under his production co-banner Barnstorm Productions.

“Two identities. One icon. Zero shame.” Meet Chad! 🏈 Hulu has debuted the full official trailer for their new sports comedy series called Chad Powers, ready for streaming starting in September one month from now. We posted the first teaser for this last year during the football season – now it’s finally about to release and they’re dropping more footage. When bad behavior nukes hotshot QB Russ Holliday’s college career, he disguises himself (using prosthetics?!) and walks onto a struggling Southern football team as the talented, affable Chad Powers. The supremely talented Glen Powell stars as Powers – he also co-created, co-wrote, and is executive producing the series through his production co-banner Barnstorm Productions. This stars Powell as Russ Holliday / Chad Powers, Perry Mattfeld as Ricky, Quentin Plair as Coach Byrd, Wynn Everett as Tricia, Frankie A. Rodriguez as Danny, and Steve Zahn as Jake Hudson. This actually looks like good fun. It’s a very ridiculous premise, but somehow Powell might just pull this off. Take a look below.

Here’s the main official trailer (+ poster) for Hulu’s comedy series Chad Powers, direct from YouTube:

Trailer of Arjun Das Starrer Bomb Unveiled

by jummy84 August 30, 2025
written by jummy84

Arjun Das is back with Bomb, and this time the actor steps into a world that is equal parts eccentric and eerie. The trailer, unveiled earlier this week, opens in a rustic village setting where superstition collides with the absurd. One scene even has the locals mistaking a man for dead — only for him to let out a fart, sending the crowd into chaos. It’s a taste of the off-beat tone the film promises, with humour and mystery sitting side by side.

The film is helmed by Vishal Venkat, who made his mark with Sila Nerangalil Sila Manidhargal. Here, he also co-writes the script alongside Manikandan Mathavan and Abishek Sabarigirison, with additional dialogues by Makizhnan BM.

Ensemble Cast, Strong Crew, and Musical Flourish

Backing Arjun Das in Bomb is a line-up packed with familiar faces: Kaali Venkat, Shivathmika Rajashekar, Nassar, Abhirami, Singampuli, Bala Saravanan and more. The film is produced by Sudha Sukumar and Sukumar Balakrishnan under the Gembrio Pictures banner, with D. Saravana Kumar also attached as producer.

On the technical side, the team features some heavy hitters. Rajkumar PM is behind the lens, while Prasanna GK handles editing duties. Manoj Kumar takes charge of art direction, and Monster Mukesh choreographs the stunt sequences.

Music comes from D. Imman, and the album already has buzz thanks to a rich set of singers including KS Chithra, Pushpavanam Kuppusamy, Haricharan, Swetha Mohan, Madhu Balakrishnan, Dharshini Rajkumar and Meghna Suresh. The lyrics are penned by Mani Amuthavan, Chandru K, Rakendu Mouli and Jayra, promising a mix of soulful and folk-tinged tracks that tie into the rural setting.

Trailer of Arjun Das-starrer Bomb unveiled

Why Bomb Stands Out

Unlike conventional village dramas, Bomb leans into satire with a sprinkle of magical realism. The trailer hints at themes of superstition and collective belief, but filters them through comedy, giving the film a refreshing edge. Arjun Das, known for his intense screen presence in thrillers like Kaithi and Andhaghaaram, is taking an unexpected detour here — trading dark, brooding roles for something lighter and more experimental.

With its oddball premise, colourful characters, and a soundtrack rooted in tradition, Bomb has set itself apart in the September release calendar. The film opens on September 12, 2025, and promises a theatrical experience that’s as unconventional as its trailer suggests.

The Bloodiest Love Story Of The Year! Baaghi 4 Trailer With Tiger Shroff And Sanjay Dutt | Glamsham.com

by jummy84 August 30, 2025
written by jummy84

The adrenaline is back and stronger than ever! The trailer of Sajid Nadiadwala’s much-awaited action extravaganza Baaghi 4 is finally here, and there’s going to be a thrilling ride ahead for fans. With an electric cast and with a darker approach, the fourth part of the Baaghi series promises an emotional and brutal saga unlike ever before. To be released on 5th September 2025, the film is already making huge waves.

Tiger Shroff Unleashed as Ronnie

Leading the film is Tiger Shroff, reprising the role of Ronnie in what is being touted as his most intense avatar yet. Tiger in the trailer lets go of all reservations, enacting a character that is unhinged, unforgiving, and unstoppable. The action scenes are gritty, realistic, and unforgiving, with the film earning an ‘A’ certificate from the CBFC — the first for Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.

Tiger posted the trailer on social media with the caption: “The bloodiest love story of the year begins here. Yaha, Har Aashiq Ek Villain Hai… #Baaghi4Trailer Out Now.”

Sanjay Dutt as the Cold-Blooded Villain

One of the biggest surprises of the trailer is Sanjay Dutt, who plays a chilling villain. With icy calm and brutal strength, Dutt gives one of his best performances in a while. His confrontation with Tiger Shroff looks set to be a visceral face-off between two titans.

Harnaaz Sandhu and Sonam Bajwa Make an Impression

Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu makes her confident and memorable screen debut, portraying a character brimming with strength and vulnerability. She brings depth to the emotional gist of the movie. Sharing screen space is Sonam Bajwa, whose fierce on-screen presence and strong role lend her an integral element in this high-octane story.

Together, they bring emotional weight and new energy to testosterone-fueled action dramedy.

Music That Matches the Mayhem

The music of Baaghi 4 is already making waves. Songs like Guzaara, Bahli Sohni, and Akeli Laila are topping charts and taking hearts, paving the way for what promises to be an intense film experience.

With A. Harsha at the helm of direction and a story developed by Sajid Nadiadwala, Baaghi 4 is set to provide raw action, intense emotions, and a story of revenge and redemption.

“What the hell is a jigawatt?!” Universal debuted a brand new trailer celebrating the 40th anniversary of the all-time sci-fi time travel adventure classic Back to the Future, considered one of the best movies ever made. Robert Zemeckis directed this as his fourth feature film at the time and it hit first theaters in July 1985. Universal will be giving BTTF a big ol’ grand re-release in theaters on October 31st this fall, and of course it’s a must watch on the big screen. Bring the kids! Show it to the next generation, too! On October 31st, the beloved 1985 classic returns to theaters nationwide for a limited engagement in premium large screen formats, including Dolby Cinema, 4DX, D-Box, IMAX, among others. This marks the first time Back to the Future will be presented on the world’s largest screens, offering fans the opportunity to experience the film’s scope and spectacle in the most immersive formats yet. Marty McFly, a 17-year-old high school student, is accidentally sent 30 years into the past in a time-traveling DeLorean invented by his close friend, the maverick scientist Doc Brown. The BTTF original cast includes Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, Crispin Glover, Thomas F. Wilson, Claudia Wells, Marc McClure, Wendie Jo Sperber, James Tolkan. This trailer shows the whole movie! But we’ve all seen it so many times already.

Here’s the new trailer (+ poster) for Robert Zemeckis’ classic movie Back to the Future, from YouTube:

Universal Pictures is proud to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Back to the Future, the Academy Award–winning sci-fi adventure from director Robert Zemeckis and executive producer Steven Spielberg that became a global phenomenon and redefined the adventure genre. When teenager Marty McFly (starring Michael J. Fox) is blasted to 1955 in the DeLorean time machine created by the eccentric Doc Brown, he finds himself mixed up in a time-shattering chain reaction that threatens to erase his future—and trap him in the past forever. Back to the Future is directed by the iconic American filmmaker Robert Zemeckis, his fourth feature film at the time just after Romancing the Stone (1984) and right after he made Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988) before the two sequels. The screenplay is written by Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale. Produced by Neil Canton and Bob Gale. Executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall. Back to the Future originally opened in theaters on July 3rd, 1985 and ended up becoming an epic $389 million box office success then. The halls of Nevermore Academy are opening once again—Wednesday is back for season 2. After a wildly successful debut that turned the iconic Addams Family daughter into a streaming sensation, fans got word in 2023 that a follow-up season was on the way. Now that part 1 of season 2 has aired, fans can’t wait for part 2.

With returning characters, fresh mysteries, and even darker twists ahead, Hollywood Life has rounded up everything we know so far about the next round of chaos for Wednesday Addams.

‘Wednesday’ Season 2 Details

Netflix officially announced the renewal of Wednesday on January 6, 2023. In the Season 2 announcement video, Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Addams delivers a perfectly on-brand message: “Over the past few weeks, I’ve been hunted, haunted, and mimicked millions of times across the internet. It’s been pure torture. Thank you.”

The streaming service said “more misery is coming” and the “global phenomenon will return for season 2.”

“It’s been incredible to create a show that has connected with people across the world.  Thrilled to continue Wednesday’s tortuous journey into season two. We can’t wait to dive head first into another season and explore the kooky spooky world of Nevermore. Just need to make sure Wednesday hasn’t emptied the pool first,” creators/showrunners/executive producers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar told Tudum.

Wednesday became an instant hit for Netflix when it debuted on November 23, 2022. In just its first week, Wednesday had 341.23M hours viewed and became the record-holder for the most hours viewed in a week for any English-language TV series on Netflix. Wednesday beat Stranger Things 4, which previously held the title with 335M hours viewed in the first week. Wednesday broke another Netflix record in its second week with 411.29M hours viewed.

The love for Wednesday Addams began when the fictional family was created by cartoonist Charles Addams. The first Addams Family television series premiered in 1964. Feature films starring Christina Ricci as Wednesday Addams debuted in the 1990s.

Wednesday Season 2 Part 1 & 2 Release Dates

Season 2 of Wednesday will be released in two parts on Netflix. Part 1 premiered on August 6, 2025. Part 2, featuring the remaining four episodes, arrives on September 3, 2025.

Filming for the new season began in early 2024, following delays due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes as unions negotiated new deals with studios. Production for Season 2 has shifted to Ireland, a change from Season 1, which was filmed in Romania from September 2021 to March 2022.

‘Wednesday’ Season 2 Cast & Crew

Jenna is, of course, returning as Wednesday Addams—and this time, she’s not just the star. As revealed in her Elle cover story, Jenna will also serve as an executive producer for Season 2.

With Wednesday returning to Nevermore Academy for another semester, several familiar faces are back as well. Expect to see:

  • Emma Myers as Enid Sinclair

  • Joy Sunday as Bianca Barclay

  • Georgie Farmer as Ajax Petropolus

  • Moosa Mostafa as Eugene Otinger

All these actors will be returning except for Percy Hynes White.

Hunter Doohan will reprise his role as Tyler Galpin, despite his character being locked away at the end of Season 1 after being revealed as the Hyde. He teased that Tyler’s arc is far from over, telling Hollywood Life, “I just want to explore what’s next for Tyler, and if he’s going to come back after Wednesday… I guess the idea left at the end is that he’s really pissed off enough to transform in that armed vehicle and I assume escape.”

Tyler was previously under the control of Marilyn Thornhill (played by  Christina Ricci), whose fate was left unresolved in the Season 1 finale. Hunter added that he’d love to see “what Tyler and the Hyde are like without having a master in Thornhill.”

Wednesday. (L to R) Joonas Suotamo as Lurch, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Jenna Ortega as Wednesday, Isaac Ordonez aș Pugsley Addams, Thing, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams in episode 201 of Wednesday. Cr. Helen Sloan/Netflix © 2025

The Addams family is also expected to appear throughout the season. Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia), Luis Guzmán (Gomez), Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley), George Burcea (Lurch), Victor Dorobantu (Thing), and Fred Armisen (Uncle Fester) are all likely to pop in—and fans are hoping for even more screentime.

“We felt like we just touched the surface with those characters and the actors are so amazing in those roles,” Miles told TVLine. “Catherine is, I think, an iconic Morticia. The relationship between Wednesday and Morticia is also essential to the show, and the idea that Wednesday is trying to forge her own path outside the family is important.”

Season 2 is also bringing in fresh blood. Steve Buscemi joins the cast as Nevermore Academy’s new principal. Lady Gaga has been confirmed for a mysterious role, and additional guest stars include:

  • Thandiwe Newton

  • Haley Joel Osment

  • Heather Matarazzo

  • Joanna Lumley

  • Frances O’Connor

  • Joonas Suotamo

Tim Burton, who directed the first four episodes of Season 1, is back to direct another four in Season 2.

‘Wednesday’ Season 2 Plot

At Tudum 2025, Netflix unveiled the first six minutes of Season 2’s premiere episode, titled “Here We Woe Again.” The opening scene features Wednesday confronting a serial killer known as the Kansas City Scalper, played by Haley Joel Osment, showcasing her growing psychic abilities and setting a darker tone for the new season.

A trailer for Wednesday Season 2 Part 1 was released in July 2025, and it shows Wednesday grappling with new supernatural threats at Nevermore Academy. After becoming a reluctant hero in Season 1, Wednesday is haunted by disturbing visions, including one of her best friend Enid’s death. She vows to stop it, saying, “Enid dies and it’s all my fault. I’ll die trying.”

While on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in March 2023, Jenna gave a little hint as to what to expect in season 2. “We just started getting a writers’ room together and talking about it,” she said.  Everybody’s being really cool. I think we want to up the kind of the horror aspect a little bit and get Wednesday out of the romantic situation and just let her be her own individual and fight her own crime.

Hunter Doohan

Jenna gave a taste of what’s to come during her Variety Actors on Actors interview with Elle Fanning in 2023. She said at the time they wanted to “lean into the horror aspect of the show” more in season 2.

“I just got a couple of the outlines for the first couple episodes. So it’s still very much coming together,” she said. “We’ve had a lot of conversations and we’ve decided things that we want to enhance and dive a little bit deeper in. I think we want to lean into the horror aspect of the show more because it is so light-hearted. I think that we’re kind of ditching any romantic love interest for Wednesday, which is great. And then also, we have such incredible female leads in the show.” She added, “I think we’re gonna get a lot more bolder. A lot more dark.”

At the end of the first season, Nevermore Academy was shut down for the remainder of the semester. Co-showrunner Alfred told THR that the school being closed “gave us the most possibilities for season 2, and I think that’s something that we’re excited to explore.”

He noted that the show is ultimately about the “female friendship” between Wednesday and Enid. However, many fans believe Wednesday and Enid have romantic feelings for each other. Here’s what Miles had to say:

“As Al said, this idea of sisterhood is key to the show. We’re not gonna discount anything, and, obviously, sometimes characters reveal themselves, which is the fun thing we love about television, that it’s an organic journey. We have a roadmap, and we’d like to have routes along that map that take you in unexpected directions. So, we’re open to everything. We wanna explore that friendship in every way, but we’re not gonna be, this is where you sometimes get misdirected by fans and things like that, so it’s just being really open to see how those characters develop and that friendship. As Al said, that friendship is key to our sort of vision of the show.”

Wednesday did open her heart a little in season 1 and developed feelings for Tyler. When he turned out to be the Hyde, that was obviously a shock to the system. In the final moments of the finale, Xavier gave Wednesday her first phone and hinted that she should text him sometime. Xavier and Wednesday definitely had a will-they-or-won’t-they element in season 1, so season 2 could go down the romantic route for them.

During Netflix’s TUDUM event on June 17, 2023, the Wednesday cast filmed a video and discussed popular fan theories. “Wednesday season 2 is being worked on right now, and the storyline is so top secret, even we don’t know what’s going to happen,” Emma Myers said in the video.

“What do you want to remember?” Kanopy has debuted the official trailer for a film titled How to Shoot a Ghost, a brand new short film created and directed by the distinct filmmaker / writer Charlie Kaufman. His latest since the film I’m Thinking of Ending Things in 2020. His new film is a 27 minute short that is premiering at the 2025 Venice Film Festival underway right now. The original intro at the fest: “Following two recently dead people who wander Athens as ghosts, the film explores mortality: as it interacts with the urge toward belonging, and our human desire to leave something, some trace, behind; and our twin desire for self obliteration. Street photography, historical footage, and old home videos interlaced with the body of the film, underscore how the ‘now’ will become the ‘then’, how those of us living today become the ghosts of tomorrow.” The short stars a nearly unrecognizable Jessie Buckley (also in Hamnet) with blue hair and a nose ring. Along with Josef Akiki as the other ghost. Shot on location in Athens, Greece. This looks quite good. Not just a simple story about ghosts wandering around a city, it’s much deeper than that. Check it out.

Here’s the main official trailer for Charlie Kaufman’s short film How to Shoot a Ghost, from YouTube:

Intro via Venice: “Two newly dead young people meet in the streets of Athens, amid the pulsing cityscape and the ghosts of history. One a translator, the other a photographer, they were outsiders in life; in death they struggle with the residue of their longings and mistakes. They wander the city together, finding consolation in the difficult beauty of existence and its aftermath.” How to Shoot a Ghost is a short directed by iconic Oscar-winning American writer / filmmaker Charlie Kaufman, director of the films Anomalisa, Synecdoche New York, and I’m Thinking of Ending Things previously, and writer of scripts for Being John Malkovich, Adaptation, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. The screenplay is written by Eva H.D. Produced by Isabelle Deluce & Emily McCann Lesser. The film premieres at the 2025 Venice Film Festival in the Out of Competition section. No other release dates are set yet – stay tuned for updates. Who’s interested?

“We seem to be accidentally color coordinated – how embarrassing!” Mubi has revealed a first look teaser trailer for the film titled Father Mother Sister Brother, the latest Jim Jarmusch feature film that has been in the works for years already. It’s now set to premiere at the 2025 Venice Film Festival underway now, and it’ll next play at the New York & Vancouver Film Fests this fall before opening in theaters in December. A new ensemble comedy feature a huge cast of characters – the film is a triptych with segments set in the US, France, and Ireland. Estranged siblings reunite after years apart, forced to confront unresolved tensions and reevaluate their strained relationships with their emotionally distant parents. A series of character studies: quiet, observational and non-judgemental — a comedy, but interwoven with threads of melancholy. Starring Tom Waits, Adam Driver, Mayim Bialik, Charlotte Rampling, Cate Blanchett, Vicky Krieps, Sarah Greene, Indya Moore, Luka Sabbat, & Françoise Lebrun. This is a strange teaser that doesn’t exactly get me more excited to see this film, but I’m interested to watch nonetheless because it is Jarmusch.

Here’s the first teaser trailer for Jim Jarmusch’s film Father Mother Sister Brother, from YouTube:

Father Mother Sister Brother Teaser

Father Mother Sister Brother Teaser

Father Mother Sister Brother is a feature film, though carefully constructed in the form of a triptych. The 3 stories all concern the relationships between adult children, their somewhat distant parent (or parents), and each other. Each of the three chapters takes place in the present, and each in a different country. Father is set in the Northeast US, Mother in Dublin, Ireland, and Sister Bother in Paris, France. The film is a series of character studies, quiet, observational and non-judgmental – a comedy, but interwoven with threads of melancholy. Father Mother Sister Brother is written and directed by acclaimed American indie filmmaker Jim Jarmusch, director of many great films including Stranger Than Paradise, Down by Law, Mystery Train, Night on Earth, Dead Man, Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai, Coffee and Cigarettes, Broken Flowers, The Limits of Control, Only Lovers Left Alive, Paterson, Gimme Danger, and The Dead Don’t Die previously. Produced by Charles Gillibert, Joshua Astrachan, Carter Logan, and Atilla Salih Yücer. This is premiering at the 2025 Venice Film Festival underway now. Mubi opens Jarmusch’s Father Mother Sister Brother in select US theaters starting on December 24th, 2025 late this year. How does that look?
