“If humans are afraid of me, how are they going to react to Alice?” Briarcliff Entertainment has unveiled a first look teaser trailer for an animated adventure movie called Stitch Head, based on the beloved graphic novel series of the same name. This animated adaptation is ready to hit theaters nationwide at the end of October just in time for Halloween this fall. From director Steve Hudson, the story follows Stitch Head, a small creature awoken by a Mad Professor in a castle to protect the professor’s other creations from the people of Grubbers Nubbin. Featuring tons of other fun monsters, too. “Stitch Head was the first creation to be born—and the first to be forgotten..” A whimsical, heartfelt twist on the Frankenstein legend, Stitch Head is a comedy adventure for monsters of every age. Featuring the voices of Asa Butterfield as Stitch Head, Joel Fry, Alison Steadman, Rob Brydon, Fern Brady, Tia Bannon, & Jamali Maddix. This teaser is just a fun little intro for the character + the kooky concept of this film. Stay tuned for more footage soon.

Here’s the first teaser trailer (+ poster) for Steve Hudson’s movie Stitch Head, direct from YouTube:

Stitch Head Teaser Poster

High above the little town of Grubbers Nubbin, in a castle laboratory, the maddest of all mad professors brings monstrous creations to (almost) life… and then promptly forgets all about them. So, who runs the castle? Who keeps the monsters in line, so the townsfolk don’t form an angry mob? That job falls to Stitch Head – the professor’s very first creation. He does it all, unnoticed and unthanked. But when a ramshackle freak show rolls into town, its sly owner, Fulbert Freakfinder, comes knocking, offering Stitch Head fame, fortune… and maybe even love. A whimsical, heartfelt twist on the Frankenstein legend. Stitch Head is written and directed by English actor / filmmaker Steve Hudson, director of the movies Co/Ma and True North previously, plus the series “Cranford”. Co-directed by Toby Genkel. Adapted from the graphic novel series created by Guy Bass. Produced by Sonja Ewers and Mark Mertens. Briarcliff Ent. debuts the animated Stitch Head movie in theaters nationwide starting October 29th, 2025 this fall. Who’s down? Look good?

Very Scary Trailer #2 for Ethan Hawke’s ‘Black Phone 2’ Horror Sequel

“It took me a long time… but you of all people know ‘dead’ is just a word.” Universal has unveiled the scary second trailer for the highly anticipated sequel Black Phone 2, the horror follow-up to C. Robert Cargill & Scott Derrickson’s film The Black Phone which opened 2022. This one will land in theaters starting in this middle of October during the spooky season. The story of the masked man ain’t over yet. 4 years ago, 13-year-old Finn killed his abductor & escaped, now the sole survivor of The Grabber. But true evil transcends death… and the phone is ringing again. Will you answer? Following the blockbuster success of Blumhouse’s 2022 horror hit, which earned more than $160M worldwide and global acclaim, Universal announces the launch of a sinister new franchise with the release of Black Phone 2. “The Grabber” has big plans? Ethan Hawke, Mason Thames, Madeleine McGraw, Jeremy Davies, and Miguel Mora all return for this sequel, again directed by Scott Derrickson. Damn this looks crazy! They’re definitely riffing on A Nightmare on Elm Street with a dash of Dream Warriors thrown in. I really dig the snowy cold setting for this sequel.

Here’s the second official trailer for Scott Derrickson’s horror sequel Black Phone 2, direct from YouTube:

The Black Phone 2 Trailer

The Black Phone 2 Poster

You can watch the first trailer for Derrickson’s Black Phone 2 horror movie right here for a bit more footage.

Ethan Hawke is returning to the most sinister role of his career as The Grabber seeks vengeance on Finn (Mason Thames) from beyond the grave by menacing Finn’s younger sister, Gwen (Madeleine McGraw). As Finn, now 17, struggles with life after his captivity, the headstrong 15-year-old Gwen begins receiving calls in her dreams from the black phone & seeing disturbing visions of 3 boys being stalked at a winter camp known as Alpine Lake. Determined to solve the mystery and end the torment for both her and her brother, Gwen persuades Finn to visit the camp during a winter storm. There, she uncovers a shattering intersection between The Grabber and her own family’s history. Together, she and Finn must confront a killer who has grown more powerful in death & even more significant to them than either could imagine.

Black Phone 2, originally known as The Black Phone 2, is once again directed by acclaimed American genre filmmaker Scott Derrickson, director of the films The Exorcism of Emily Rose, The Day the Earth Stood Still, Sinister, Deliver Us from Evil, Marvel’s Doctor Strange, The Black Phone, and The Gorge previously, plus an ep of “Snowpiercer” and a short in V/H/S/85. The screenplay is again written by C. Robert Cargill & Scott Derrickson. It’s produced by Jason Blum, Scott Derrickson, & C. Robert Cargill. Made by Blumhouse. Universal sends Derrickson’s Black Phone 2 in theaters nationwide starting October 17th, 2025 this fall.

“You were the only one who saw who I really was.” This film! GKids has unveiled the official US trailer for Little Amélie or the Character of Rain, also known as just Little Amélie, a beautiful animated film from France. From directors Maïlys Vallade and Liane-Cho Han, Amélie et la métaphysique des tubes (the original title) is the story of Amélie, a Belgian girl living in Japan, who adores nature and all the spectacular beauty of the outdoors. The story explores life with her companion Nishio-san, a caretaker for the family. Her third birthday becomes a turning point, marking the beginning of life-altering events that will shape her understanding of the world. With the voices of Emmylou Homs, Loïse Charpentier, Laetitia Coryn, Yumi Fujimori, and Isaac Schoumsky. I saw this at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival and it really left me in awe – which is the exact quote they use on this trailer and poster! I’m a huge fan of this film. There aren’t enough superlatives to describe how beautiful it is. Even though the 2D animation style seems simplistic, it’s certainly not, once it gets moving and everyone is swept up in all these adventures in her little world it is breathtaking. I’m very happy they’re giving this a proper theatrical release in this US this November. Enjoy.

Little Amélie or the Character of Rain Trailer

Little Amélie or the Character of Rain Poster

You can watch the intial festival trailer for the Little Amélie movie right here to view the first look again.

Follows the young Amélie – born in Japan to Belgian parents – as she navigates an extraordinary early childhood. For the first two-and-a-half years of her life, she exists in a state of pure sensation, detached from typical human experiences – metaphorically described as “a digestive tube, inert and vegetative”. But on her third birthday, a transformative event awakens her to the world. Over the next six months, she discovers language, family, a heavenly garden, Japan, water, the changing seasons and the passage of time. Drawing on the Japanese belief that children are considered divine until the age of three, the film explores how this brief period, filled with joy & sorrow, is a foundational element in shaping her identity.

Little Amélie or the Character of Rain, originally known as Amélie et la métaphysique des tubes in French, is co-directed by filmmakers Liane-Cho Han Jin Kuang (animator on The Illusionist, Long Way North, Ethel & Ernest, Calamity a Childhood of Martha Jane Cannary) & Mailys Vallade (of The Lighthouse Keeper short, artist on Calamity a Childhood of Martha Jane Cannary), making their feature directorial debut with this project. The screenplay is written by Liane-Cho Han Jin Kuang, Eddine Noël, Aude Py, and Mailys Vallade. Adapted from the book written by Amélie Nothomb. Produced by Claire La Combe, Edwina Liard, Henri Magalon, and Nidia Santiago. This first premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival earlier this year (read our review) and it’s next playing TIFF this month before release. GKids will debut Little Amélie or the Character of Rain in US theaters nationwide starting November 7th, 2025 late this fall. Beautiful?

“The way of water has no beginning… and no end…” Time to go back again before the story continues. 20th Century Studios has debuted another new 45-second trailer to promote the upcoming re-release of James Cameron’s Avatar 2 – also known as Avatar: The Way of the Water. This massive, action-packed sci-fi sequel first hit theaters in December 2022 a few years ago. Right now they’re gearing up to launch Avatar 3 – known as Avatar: Fire and Ash (watch the teaser) – in theaters this December. The only spot left on the calendar for a week-long IMAX re-release is in early October this fall. A chance to revisit this second movie before the third one arrives. Once a familiar threat returns to finish what was started, Jake must work with Neytiri and another new army of the Na’vi race to protect their planet. They take to the waters, where even more fascinating creatures are found. The Way of Water cast features Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Kate Winslet, Sigourney Weaver, Bailey Bass, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss, Jack Champion, Michelle Yeoh, Jemaine Clement, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, Edie Falco, CCH Pounder, and Joel David Moore. I still prefer the first Avatar movie over this one, but at least we got to meet Payakan in Avatar 2. I’m ready for the next sequel, and of course it’s still exciting to rewatch these first two before the big release.

Here’s the new 2025 re-release trailer for James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water, via YouTube:

Avatar: The Way of Water Poster

You can rewatch the teaser trailer for James Cameron’s Avatar 2 right here, and the gorgeous first trailer.

Set more than a decade after the events of the first film, Avatar: The Way of Water launches the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their kids), the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure. All of this against the backdrop of the breathtaking seascapes of Pandora, where audiences are introduced to new Na’vi cultures and a range of exotic sea creatures. Avatar 2: The Way of Water is directed by iconic Canadian filmmaker James Cameron, director of the movies Piranha II: The Spawning, The Terminator, Aliens, The Abyss, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, True Lies, Titanic, and Avatar previously. The screenplay is co-written by James Cameron & Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver (of the Planet of the Apes sequels), from a story by Cameron, Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver, Josh Friedman, Shane Salerno. Produced by James Cameron and Jon Landau. The epic sci-fi sequel originally opened in theaters in December 2022. 20th Century Studios + Disney are re-releasing Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water in theaters again starting October 3rd, 2025 this fall before the next movie lands in December. “I’m trying…” “I won’t be here forever.” Music Box Films has revealed an official US trailer for the lovely, must see film titled The Summer Book, directed by filmmaker Charlie McDowell (of The One I Love, The Discovery, Windfall). This premiered at various festivals last year including London, AFI Fest, Stockholm, Camerimage, and many others. This peaceful and poetic film is set on wonderful little island in Scandinavia. It is the inspirational tale of a young girl and her grandmother spending a summer on a small, uninhabited island in the Gulf of Finland. Her father is struggling with the death of his wife while his daughter’s curiosity grows. Adapted from Tove Jansson’s beloved novel, The Summer Book is a delicate account of growing up and growing old, beautifully filmed on 16mm in majestic natural light. This fantastic little film stars Glenn Close as Grandmother, Anders Danielsen Lie as Father, and the delightful Emily Matthews as Sophia, with Ingvar Sigurdsson as Eriksson. This is such a special film, and I am very happy to be quoted in this trailer from a glowing review I wrote last year. I’ve been recommending it to everyone… Catch it in theaters.

Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Charlie McDowell’s film The Summer Book, direct from YouTube:

The Summer Book Trailer

The Summer Book Poster

9-year-old Sophia (Emily Matthews) spends the summers at her family’s seasonal home on a tranquil isle in the Gulf of Finland, but this will be the first summer without her mother. Her father (Anders Danielsen Lie) remains numbed by grief, while her grandmother (Glenn Close) guides her on a giddy, winding path towards young adulthood. With a sense of infinite possibility and a tender regard for the wonders of the natural world, Sophia and her grandmother explore the terrain, celebrate midsommar, and test the limits of faith in the face of life’s many storms. The Summer Book is directed by acclaimed American filmmaker Charlie McDowell, director of the films The One I Love, The Discovery, and Windfall previously, and eps of “Tales from the Loop” & “Dispatches from Elsewhere”. The screenplay is written by Robert Jones. Based on the book of the same name written by Tove Jansson. It’s produced by Aleksi Bardy, Kevin Loader, Kath Mattock, Charlie McDowell, Duncan Montgomery, Alex Orlovsky, Helen Vinogradov. This first premiered at the 2024 London Film Festival last year (read our review). Music Box Films opens McDowell’s The Summer Book in select US theaters starting on September 19th, 2025 coming soon. “Are you ready?” Yes I am! Let’s go back for more. Sony Pictures has finally revealed the first official trailer for the highly anticipated follow-up sequel 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, which was shot back-to-back with Alex Garland’s 28 Years Later from earlier this year. This sequel is directed by Nia DaCosta, also from a screenplay written by Alex Garland again, and it lands in theaters in January 2026 in just a few months from now. Awesome. In a continuation of the epic zombie-filled story, Fiennes’ character Dr. Kelson finds himself in a shocking new relationship – with consequences that could change the world as they know it. And Spike’s encounter with Jimmy Crystal (seen at the end of 28YL) becomes a nightmare he now can’t escape. In the world of The Bone Temple, the infected are no longer the greatest threat to survival – the inhumanity of the survivors can be stranger and more terrifying. Indeed it can be – AND IS. This next movie also stars Ralph Fiennes, Alfie Williams, Jack O’Connell, Erin Kellyman, and Chi Lewis-Parry. Another fantastic trailer for this horror sequel with another chilling voiceover! Damn it looks good.

Nishaanchi trailer out: Aaishvary Thackeray shines in double role in Anurag Kashyap’s quintessential masala film. Watch | Bollywood

by jummy84 September 3, 2025
written by jummy84

The makers of Nishaanchi have dropped the trailer, and it looks like a full-blown Bollywood masala. Directed by Anurag Kashyap, the film blends action, comedy, romance, betrayal, and good old-fashioned ‘maa ka pyaar’ into its cinematic experience and marks the Bollywood debut of Aaishvary Thackeray, grandson of Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackrey.

Set in early 2000s Uttar Pradesh, Nishaanchi blends action, comedy, and romance, with a nostalgic soundtrack. The film releases on September 19.

What’s in the trailer

Front and centre is Aaishvary, making his debut in a double role as twin brothers Babloo and Dabloo, who are mirror images in looks but worlds apart in their values. Set in the gritty gullies of small-town Uttar Pradesh in the early 2000s, Nishaanchi follows their tangled lives as they collide in a storm of rebellion, family drama, and personal transformation.

The trailer gives you an adrenaline rush with high-speed chases, charged confrontations, and tender moments of love and longing. With its interesting soundtrack, it throws back to the nostalgia of early 2000s cinema. Anurag calls it his most cinematic film. “Nishaanchi is my most cinematic film with a classic story at its centre… emotion, betrayal, action — everything I grew up loving in Hindi films,” he said.

“Playing twins who are complete opposites challenged me in every way—emotionally, physically, and as an actor. At the same time, contributing to the music of the film was just as special. For me, acting and music are like Babloo and Dabloo—two distinct parts of my personality that balance and complete each other. I’m nervous, but also excited, to finally share this world with everyone. With Anurag sir guiding me through the journey, I discovered something new in every scene, every note,” said Aaishvary.

About Nishaanchi

Presented by Amazon MGM Studios India and produced by Ajay Rai and Ranjan Singh (Jar Pictures and Flip Films), the film also stars Vedika Pinto, Monika Panwar, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, and Kumud Mishra in pivotal roles. Anurag, Prasoon Mishra, and Ranjan Chandel co-wrote the story, and it’s set to hit theatres on September 19.

28 Years Later: The Bone Temple Trailer: Ralph Fiennes Returns

by jummy84 September 3, 2025
written by jummy84

Sony Pictures has released the first trailer for Nia DaCosta’s “28 Years Later: The Bone Temple.”

The film will follow the events of “28 Years Later,” picking up after Spike (Alfie Williams) is introduced to Sir Jimmy Crystal (Jack O’Connell) and his gang of acrobatic killers in a post-apocalyptic England. “Dr. Kelson (Ralph Fiennes) finds himself in a shocking new relationship — with consequences that could change the world as they know it — and Spike’s encounter with Jimmy Crystal becomes a nightmare he can’t escape,” the film’s official synopsis reads. “In the world of ‘The Bone Temple,’ the infected are no longer the greatest threat to survival — the inhumanity of the survivors can be stranger and more terrifying.”

Cillian Murphy will briefly appear in the film, reprising his role as Jim from “28 Days Later,” alongside stars Fiennes, Emma Laird, Maura Bird, Erin Kellyman and Chi Lewis-Parry.

While Murphy will only have a small role in the second film, executive producer and “28 Years Later” director Danny Boyle revealed to Variety that Murphy will be an “enormous character in the third film.” Boyle also confirmed that O’Connell and Fiennes will play larger parts in “28 Years Later: The Bone Temple,” setting up more of the mainland plot that was briefly touched on in the first film.

“28 Years Later: The Bone Temple” was written and produced by Alex Garland. The sequel is executive produced by Boyle, Andrew Macdonald, Peter Rice and Bernie Bellew. Columbia Pictures, DNA Films and Decibel Films produced the film, with Sony Pictures distributing the feature.

“28 Years Later: The Bone Temple” is set to release in theaters on Jan. 16, 2026. Check out the trailer below.
