“They want your shelter, your food, your water, your sanity.” Aura Entertainment has revealed an official trailer for a film called Coyotes, a wild horror comedy made by genre filmmaker Colin Minihan (of Grave Encounters, What Keeps You Alive). This is premiering at Fantastic Fest 2025 coming up later this month before it opens in October. Trapped in their Hollywood Hills home, a family fights for survival when caught between a raging wildfire and a pack of savage coyotes. Starring real-life couple Justin Long and Kate Bosworth as the trapped family’s parents. Their performances underline the dual nature of the nightmare they are living—how human bonds are tested under extreme pressure and how strong one’s primal survival instinct can be. The fest adds: from “Colin Minihan, the mind behind Grave Encounters, Coyotes combines the claustrophobic dread of home invasion with brutal eco-horror, sugarcoated with [funny] situations. “I just want to sing, and I want to shine!” Focus Features has revealed the first official trailer for a movie titled Song Sung Blue, a comedy based on a true story of a Neil Diamond cover duo. Directed by Craig Brewer (Hustle & Flow, Black Snake Moan, Footloose), this is a fictional adaptation of the documentary of the same name – about Lightning and Thunder, a Milwaukee husband and wife Neil Diamond tribute act, experience soaring success and devastating heartbreak in their musical journey together. The upbeat music film stars Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson as Mike Sardina and Claire Sardina. Based on a true story, two down-on-their-luck musicians form a joyous Neil Diamond tribute band, proving it is never too late to find love and to follow your dreams. Also starring Michael Imperioli, Ella Anderson, King Princess, Mustafa Shakir, Hudson Hensley, with Fisher Stevens and Jim Belushi. Well this looks like a blast! Uplifting and wholesome, even if it’s a tad cheesy, but sometimes chasing your dreams can be this much fun.

“A dark chapter that should never be forgotten…” Well Go USA has revealed a chilling first look teaser for a Chinese film titled 731, also known as Evil Unbound telling the shocking true story of the awful Japanese Unit 731 at the end of WWII in China. Yet another new film from China about how horrible the Japanese Army was – which makes me worried they’re trying to get Chinese people to hate Japanese again. Which is not okay. Set against the backdrop of the bacterial experiments conducted by the Japanese Imperial Army’s Unit 731 in Northeast China, and reveals the crimes of Unit 731 through the turbulent fate of an ordinary individual. Based on true events during WWII in Northeast China, an ordinary man is thrust into a horrible fate during the inhumane experiments conducted by the Japanese’s notorious Unit 731. Starring Wu Jiang, Zhiwen Wang, Naiwen Li, Qian Sun, and Ziye Lin. This packs in quite a bit of unsettling footage in only 15 seconds! This is a seriously effective teaser. This looks terrifying! The story of the Japanese Army’s Unit 731 in Harbin’s Pingfang District on the eve of victory in the War of Resistance in 1945. Under the guise of “water supply & epidemic prevention,” this nefarious unit carried out bacteriological warfare research and slaughtered civilians through human experimentation, exposing many crimes against humanity. Through the tragic ordeal of innocent civilians such as street vendor Wang Yongzhang—who were deceived, captured, imprisoned, and reduced to inhumane subjects of live experiments, the film depicts the suffering, awakening, and indomitable resistance of ordinary people in the torrent of war. 731, also with the English title Evil Unbound, and titled 731: 生化启示录 or 疯狂731 in Mandarin, is written and directed by Chinese filmmaker Linshan Zhao, director of the film The Assassins with Chow Yun-Fat previously, though not much else since then. It’s produced by Hong Wang, Zhuang Yan, and Wang Zhang. Well Go USA will release Linshan Zhao’s 731 film in select US theaters at the exact same time as it opens in China – starting on September 19th, 2025 coming soon. Anyone curious to watch this?

Have you seen something you shouldn’t have seen?” 👀 Roadside Attr. has unveiled the official trailer for the horror thriller movie titled Dust Bunny, marking the feature directorial debut of producer / writer Bryan Fuller. This wicked fairy tale is premiering at the 2025 Toronto Film Festival in Midnight Madness this week, hence the trailer dropping now. It won’t be in theaters until December this year. This intriguing horror mixes two common premises – a hitman neighbor who protects a young girl, and some extra scary monster that’s hiding under her bed. A 10-year-old girl asks her scheming neighbor for help in killing the monster under her bed that she thinks ate her family. Suspecting that her parents may have fallen victim to assassins after him, Aurora’s neighbor guiltily takes the job. But to protect her, he’ll need to battle an onslaught of assassins ― and accept that some monsters are real. Starring Mads Mikkelsen, Sigourney Weaver, David Dastmalchian, Sheila Atim, and Sophie Slone as Aurora. It looks like way more of an action thriller with a dash of horror, yet another hyper-stylized new hitman movie.

“They could be in disguise – don’t let anyone slip by!” CMC Pictures has debuted a second trailer for the action thriller from China titled The Shadow’s Edge, which is already playing in theaters (including in the US) as of a few weeks ago. This is the second film Jackie Chan has made with filmmaker Larry Yang after also working on Ride On (2023) together previously. “Trust collapses. Truth twists. No one’s identity is safe. The hunt is on — step by step, move by move.” The legend returns — Jackie Chan is back on the front line, facing off against criminal mastermind (Leung Ka Fai Tony) and his elite “Wolf Pack” in a full-throttle war of shadows and strategy. Lots of trickery going on. Also starring Zhang Zi Feng, Tony Leung Ka-fai, Ci Sha, Jun, and Zhou Zheng Jie. This is a much better trailer this time around, compared to the first one which didn’t feature as much action footage. This new international trailer also features a hilarious English dub voiceover, which is quite unnecessary, along with a boat load of violence. Really selling it! Have a look.

“I would like to find proof of what plants sense.” Film Boutique has debuted a festival promo trailer for the film titled Silent Friend, the latest mesmerizing creation by award-winning Hungarian filmmaker Ildikó Enyedi. This is the best film from the 2025 Venice Film Festival and it seriously deserved to win Golden Lion – most critics agree, but the jury did not. Silent Friend is set at a university centered around a giant, old ginkgo tree. The film follows three intertwined stories at different time periods, exploring the idea of trees & plants being sentient and interacting with people. In the heart of a botanical garden in a medieval university town in Germany stands a majestic ginkgo tree. This silent witness has observed over a century the quiet rhythms of transformation across three human lives… This stars Tony Leung Chiu-Wai, Luna Wedler (who won a Venice award), Enzo Brumm, Sylvester Groth, Martin Wuttke, Johannes Hegemann, Rainer Bock, Marlene Burow, & Léa Seydoux. I fell hard for the film – it’s an instant all-timer favorite, everything about it is magical. This trailer features some of the wonderful score, but it’s still an experience you must have in theaters – getting pulled into this beautifully alluring, entrancing story of trees & humans.

The wait is finally over. Aryan Khan has unveiled the trailer of his directorial debut series The Ba***ds of Bollywood and it is every bit dramatic, cheeky, and unapologetic as fans hoped it would be. With seven episodes packed with glamour, ambition, and plenty of sharp humour, the show is shaping up to be one of the most exciting new releases of the year.

At the centre of the story is Aasmaan Singh, played by Lakshya, a young dreamer who dares to believe he can conquer the world’s most colourful film industry. The Ba***ds of Bollywood trailer: The trailer for Aryan Khan’s debut Netflix web series The Ba***ds of Bollywood is out now after releasing the preview last month. The trailer hints that the seven-episode series is filled with sharp one-liners and larger-than-life moments. Produced by Gauri Khan via Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt. Ltd, the series will feature cameos by Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and others.

The music is in collaboration with T-Series. Shashwat Sachdev composed the album, with guest composers Anirudh Ravichander and Ujwal Gupta. The first track, Badli Si Hawa Hai, composed by Anirudh Ravichander and sung by Arijit Singh and Amira Gill, has already been released. The acclaimed doc will get a global release with backing of a coalition of supporters – including Film Forum, Dogwoof, 8 Above, PBS’ Independent Lens, BBC Storyville, ROCO Films, Kanopy and a cohort of organizations defending the freedom to read including PEN America, the American Library Association, & Penguin Random House. The Librarians traverses small-town USA capturing the shared experience and heroic actions of besieged librarians who are at the center of what has become a large-scale coordinated extremist movement against freedom of information. Faced with a choice to either fall in line or defend our most fundamental rights, these brave librarians have made the choice to risk everything and be the first line of defense against current attacks on our democratic values.
