Kneecap cancel 2025 US tour due to “close proximity of next court hearing”

Kneecap have cancelled their sold-out 2025 US headline tour. Find all the details below.

It comes after member Mo Chara’s terrorism case was adjourned until next month at his second court hearing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London last Wednesday (August 20).

“To all our US-based fans, we have some bad news. Due to the close proximity of our next court hearing in London on September 26 – as the British government continues its witch-hunt – with the start of the US tour, we will have to cancel all 15 US tour dates in October,” the Irish rap trio wrote.

“With every show fully sold out, this is news we are sad to deliver. But once we win our court case, which we will, we promise to embark on an even bigger tour to all you great heads.”

They continued: “Canadian shows are NOT affected and we will be playing our 4 sold out shows in Vancouver and Toronto.”

Kneecap went on to tease some upcoming “good news” for those in the States.

“We will be sharing something very special for US fans next week so that we can still link in with you all in October,” they said. “It’s top secret for now but all will be revealed next week – stay tuned.

“And remember… ‘The revolution will be no re-run, brothers. The revolution will be live’.”

Ticketholders for the US dates can get a refund from their point of purchase. See the post below.

Chara (real name Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh) first appeared in court in June, when he was released on unconditional bail.

The terrorism charges were levelled against him in May for allegedly displaying a Hezbollah flag onstage at a London show last November. The rapper is yet to enter a plea, but has denied any wrongdoing.

His lawyers are seeking to throw out the case, arguing that the terror charge against him was brought outside the time limit. They claim that it was brought a day after the six-month limit for such charges.

However, prosecutors say the charge was brought exactly within the required time limit.

Responding to the terror charge in May, Kneecap denied the offence and vowed to “vehemently defend ourselves”. “This is political policing,” they wrote. “This is a carnival of distraction. We are not the story. Genocide is.”

Speaking outside the court following last week’s hearing, Chara thanked supporters for coming. “We know this story is more than just about me. It’s more than Kneecap; this is a story about Palestine and us as a distraction from the real story,” he told those gathered.

“We know, unfortunately, this story will end up in the media today, while Israel commits genocide at the same time. So, everybody, continue to speak about Palestine, free Palestine. Thank you all for coming.”

Kneecap have since returned to the stage for a defiant set at Rock en Seine, where pro-Israel protestors attempted to disrupt the performance.

Earlier this month, the trio led chants of “fuck KKR” at Øya Festival 2025 before condemning the “hate-filled” Hungarian Prime Minister in a video broadcast at Sziget in Budapest.

Oasis Launch First American Tour in 16 Years with Rain-Soaked Set in Toronto

by jummy84 August 25, 2025
written by jummy84

Oasis kicked off the North American leg of their 2025 reunion tour on Sunday night with a rousing, rain-soaked show at Toronto’s Rogers Stadium. A sold-out crowd of 50,000 turned out for the Gallagher brothers’ first North American show in 16 years, and despite rain showers drenching most of the night, the band powered through.

Playing the same 23- song setlist featured in the earlier UK leg of the tour, Liam and Noel ran through greatest hits and fan favorites, including “Acquiesce,” “Morning Glory,” “Cigarettes & Alcohol,” “Live Forever,” “The Masterplan,” “Don’t Look Back in Anger,” and “Champagne Supernova.” See the full setlist and fan-captured video below.

For their part, Oasis didn’t seem bothered by the rain: “It’s only a bit of rain, man,” Liam told the crowd at one point. “We’re from Manchester.” Later in the set, he exclaimed, “Don’t you just love it? A little bit of chaos when the weather comes. All that sunshine. Not good for ya!”

Oasis will play another show in Toronto on Monday night, before making their way to Chicago; East Rutherford, NJ; Los Angeles, and Mexico City. Look for last-minute tickets here.

Last week, Noel gave his first public comments about Oasis’ reunion during an appearance on talkSPORT, a UK sports radio program. He shared that he’s feeling “on top of the world” and has been “blown away” by the overwhelming reception the band’s concerts have received thus far. “It’s been truly amazing. I’m not usually short for words,” he noted.

Live Forever in the rain was the most beautiful experience.

Deftones Debut New Songs At Vancouver Tour Opener

by jummy84 August 25, 2025
written by jummy84

On the eve of the release of their new album, private music, Deftones debuted three new songs from it last night (Aug. 22) at their fall tour opener in Vancouver. The Chino Moreno-led group also dedicated another rarity to late Mastodon member Brent Hinds, who died this week in an Atlanta motorcycle crash.

Deftones unveiled “my mind is a mountain,” “infinite source” and “milk of the madonna” in Vancouver, a day after airing them for the first time during an audience-free livestream. About halfway through the set, they dusted off “Entombed,” a song from the 2012 album Koi no Yokan that hadn’t been played live since 2017.

Moreno told the audience they were playing the song in honor of “a very dear friend” in Hinds, who with Mastodon toured in tandem with Deftones and Alice in Chains back in 2010. During the encore, Deftones also played “Engine No. 9” from 1995’s Adrenaline for the first time this year.

private music is expected to score a high debut on the Billboard 200 this coming week. Deftones are supporting it on the road throughout the fall at a mix of headlining shows and appearances at such festivals as Louder Than Life in Louisville, Ky., and Aftershock in their Sacramento, Ca., hometown.

The group will also host its annual Dia De Los Deftones blowout on Nov. 1 at San Diego’s Petco Park in tandem with Clipse, Rico Nasty and Deafheaven. A European run will follow early next tear.

The alternative rock legend and his formidable band will embark on a tour of Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand next January and February, their first dates in these parts since 2017.

Produced by Supersonic, the 10-show trek will visit a string of outdoor cultural spots, kicking off Jan. 17 at Fremantle Park, WA. Along the way, Cave’s Wild God Tour will visit Adelaide Entertainment Centre, The Domain Sydney, Brisbane’s Victoria Park, Melbourne’s Alexandra Gardens, and head east for two shows at TSB Arena in Wellington, the New Zealand capital.

“I can’t wait to get to Australia and New Zealand with The Bad Seeds and to bring you our epic Wild God show,” Cave comments in a statement. “It’s been a long time coming, and I’ve missed both Australia and New Zealand very much. It will be a wild and mighty joy.”

The alternative rockers’ setlist will include songs from their 18th and latest studio album Wild God, alongside songs spanning their four-decade career, a statement reads.

Cave has no shortage of classics in his repertoire. In the U.K., his adopted homeland, the band has landed seven top 10 albums, including Wild God, which opened and peaked at No. 5 last year. Cave was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2007.

Produced by Cave and Bad Seeds/Dirty Three collaborator Warren Ellis, and mixed by David Fridmann, Wild God hit No. 66 on the Billboard 200, one of his nine titles to impact the albums chart.

Wild God, released through Cave’s own label Bad Seed, via a new, exclusive worldwide licensing agreement with Play It Again Sam, an imprint of the independent [PIAS] label group, was nominated for a raft of awards, including two Grammy categories (best alternative music album and best alternative music performance), best alternative rock record at the Libera Awards and the 2024 Australian Music Prize.

Before heading Down Under, Cave will complete his pan-European solo jaunt with a string of shows in Germany, Luxembourg and elsewhere.

Tanner Adell wrapped a successful, seven-city trek Thursday (Aug. 21) as her Giddy Up, Gorgeous Tour came to a close in Nashville.

Best known for her 2023 breakout song “Buckle Bunny” and her news-making collaboration “BLACKBIIRD” alongside Beyoncé, Tiera Kennedy, Brittney Spencer, and Reyna Roberts, the young country-pop star held her own on her second headlining tour, following 2024’s The Buckle Bunny Tour.

“It’s not just about playing songs — it’s about sharing stories, energy and real moments with the people who’ve been riding with me since day one,” Adell said of the tour ahead of her first show in Milwaukee, reminding fans to “pack your boots, your glitter and your heartbreak” for a show she described as a “full-blown emotional rodeo.”

Garbage May Not Play in ‘Many of the Cities’ on Their Tour Again

by jummy84 August 21, 2025
written by jummy84

“Everything must change. All beautiful things come to an end,” the band wrote on Instagram

Garbage‘s forthcoming U.S. tour may be the last time the rock band performs in “many of the cities.” The group shared a post on Instagram confirming that they are “going out in style.”

“Yesterday saw the commencement of rehearsals for our last North American headline tour,” the band wrote. “We haven’t played an extensive headline tour like this one in the States for almost a decade. If the truth be told, it is unlikely we will play many of the cities on this tour ever again.”

They continued, “We are going out in style and we hope you will join us. That’s life my friends. Nothing stays the same forever. Everything must change.  All beautiful things come to an end. We love you.”

The tour kicks off on Sept. 3 in Orlando, with dates scheduled around the U.S. through November. The band will perform at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on Nov. 5 before heading to Mexico City for Corona Capital on Nov. 14. The extensive run comes after the band were forced to cancel their 2024 dates last August when front woman Shirley Manson required “surgery and rehabilitation” after breaking her hip.

Trending Stories

“To be able to headline our own shows for the first time in nearly 10 years feels very special,” Manson told Rolling Stone earlier this year. “Because we are so much older, every time we get to go out and play together on a long tour, it feels like an enormous privilege, because you just never know when it’s going to come ’round again.”

Garbage’s latest LP, Let All That We Imagine Be the Light, arrived in May. Manson said the title was inspired by the film All That We Imagine as Light, which came out last year. “I have not even seen the movie, but that title lodged itself in my brain,” she told Rolling Stone. “When we were working on [‘Radical’], I’d already sung, ‘All you’ve got to do is save a life,’ and then I started singing ‘Let all that we imagine be the light’ in the second half of the chorus. It fitted in with the music perfectly. It just seemed like such a perfect encapsulation of where my mind was at the time.”

Shudder To Think Embarking On Fall Reunion Tour

Shudder To Think Embarking On Fall Reunion Tour

by jummy84 August 20, 2025
written by jummy84

As expected, Shudder to Think is extending its recent reunion with its first U.S. tour since 2008. The group will play nine shows this fall, beginning Sept. 19 at Riot Fest in Chicago, and will wind its way back to Los Angeles for a Nov. 11 finale. Tickets go on sale Friday (Aug. 22).

Beloved for its influential, unique blend of post-hardcore, alternative rock and glam, Shudder to Think returned to the stage in March with two performances for friends and family at Los Angeles’ tiny Permanent Records. A clip of “X French T-Shirt” from those shows can be seen below. The group’s current lineup includes frontman Craig Wedren, guitarist Nathan Larson, drummer Adam Wade, guitarist Clint Walsh and bassist Jherek Bischoff.

After emerging on legendary D.C. indie label Dischord Records with classics such as Funeral at the Movies and Get Your Goat, Shudder to Think signed to Epic and in 1994 released one of the strangest major-label debut albums of all time, Pony Express Record. Following an uneven response to its 1997 follow-up, 50,000 B.C., the band split up. But as Wedren told SPIN earlier this year, new music is also in the works to complement the live shows.

“We’re trying to do this in a very organic way that works for everybody’s individual lives and collective health,” he said. “We’re going to keep working on new music together in a room and each in our separate corners. We have shared ProTools sessions where we record demos together, but then everybody can tweak ideas on their own. It’s a more multi-dimensional, accordion-esque creative process rather than just being in a room, working on the song, playing the songs live and recording the songs. The intention is to hopefully have a record done within a year from now — next summer or fall or something like that. If it winds up being a series of EPs or singles, it doesn’t really matter. We just want to make new Shudder to Think music together, and we’re documenting it all.”

Here are Shudder to Think’s tour dates:

Sep 19: Chicago, IL – Riot Fest
Sep 19: Chicago, IL – Cobra Lounge
Oct 23: Boston, MA – Sonia
Oct 24: Washington, DC – Black Cat
Oct 25: New York, NY – Mercury Lounge
Nov 7: Portland, OR – Star Theater
Nov 8: Seattle, WA – Barboza
Nov 10: San Francisco, CA – Brick & Mortar Music Hall
Nov 11: Los Angeles, CA – Lodge Room Highland Park
