Sam Fender becomes first artist to tour with all electric trucks

With his ‘People Watching’ shows this summer, Sam Fender became the first artist to complete a set of live dates with all electric transport.

The final run of the tour, taking the singer-songwriter from Manchester to Edinburgh and Belfast to Stradbally in Ireland, used four fully electric vehicles in partnership with Mercedes-Benz Trucks, covering over 900 miles.

Each night, four eActros 600s carried stage sets and equipment between cities and venues, charging while on the road.

The ‘Rein Me In’ singer commented on the achievement: “We’ve just finished our summer tour where we used some Mercedes-Benz electric trucks with help from KB Event. Hopefully, this will show what can be achieved on future tours, and other artists will jump on board too. Big thanks to everyone involved, and to Massive Attack for pioneering the way with more sustainable touring.”

Richard Burnett of KB Event added: “Transport is a key part of any live music tour, but we wanted to make the ‘People Watching’ tour as green and sustainable as possible. Until now, electric trucks weren’t seen as viable for big tours, but the eActros 600 has shown they can deliver the performance, the range, and the reliability.”

Meanwhile, the Music Venue Trust shared earlier this month that funds raised from his UK tour in late 2024 provided a package of over £100,000 to help support almost 48 independent music venues across England, Scotland and Wales.

Fender is currently playing shows in North America and will head to Australia in November. Find US tickets here and Australia tickets here.

A week ago, ‘People Watching’ – which came out in February – was announced to be on the Mercury Prize 2025 shortlist, alongside albums from the likes of CMAT, Fontaines D.C. and Wolf Alice.

His third album overall, it became his second to receive a Mercury Prize nomination after 2021’s ‘Seventeen Going Under’. There could be new music coming next year, too, with Fender telling the crowd at his huge Wythenshawe Park gig on August 16, “I’m gonna go away at the end of this lot of shows and sort my shit out and get my voice as good as possible and make another album and fuck loads of new tunes next year.”

Period Pooh! Mariah the Scientist Pops Out With Yung Miami Amid Announcing 2026 Tour Dates (VIDEO) Young Thug

Mariah the Scientist Seen W/ Yung Miami, Drops 2026 Tour Dates

by jummy84 September 17, 2025
written by jummy84

Mariah the Scientist is holding her head high and keeping her smile wide. The R&B singer recently linked up with Yung Miami, and a sweet moment of the Miami rapper hyping her up is going viral. This follows two weeks of leaked phone calls shaking up Young Thug’s world and their romantic relationship. And while heartbreak isn’t holding Mariah back from girls’ time, it also seemingly won’t stop her from making her coin! Amid the drama, sis announced her 2026 tour dates for her recently released album ‘Hearts Sold Separately.’

Yung Miami Hypes Mariah the Scientist’s Beauty

Social media is loving sight of Mariah outside amid the talks surrounding her bond with Thugger. It’s unclear where Mariah and Miami were headed, but Mariah’s look wasn’t missing any beats! The singer wore glam makeup with rosy cheeks and a pink lip color. Her hair was styled in curls, and she had a few jewelry pieces on her neck to complement her orange and pink tank top. Yung Miami, who was recording, said mid-conversation: “My friend is so pretty.” Mariah stopped talking to stick her tongue out and smile, before finishing what she was saying.

Ms. ‘Burning Blue’ Is Coming To A City Near You

Young Thug’s scandalous jail calls took over September. And it was terrible timing for Mariah the Scientist. She was less than a month into releasing her fourth studio album, ‘Hearts Sold Separately,’ in August. Yung Miami supported Mariah during her album release party in Atlanta last month, and so did R&B singer Queen Naija.

Despite what may be happening in her love life, Mariah isn’t letting her tour bag go! This week, she dropped the list of cities she’s heading to, starting with Paris in January. She’ll be in Europe through the rest of that month, and in Miami, Florida, right before Valentine’s Day.

What’s Going On With Mariah & Young Thug?

It’s still a mystery whether Thugger and Mariah the Scientist are still together. She stood by his side before he got locked up in his YSL RICO case and stayed throughout the ordeal. From jail visits to attending his trial, the singer showed her loyalty and even pulled up for her man when he finally went free.

Social media threw her devotion back in her face this month, though, after multiple audio files leaked of Thugger admitting to cheating on her and telling another woman he loves her. It was a brutal blow to what seemed to be their new beginning. And it didn’t help that her love life got blasted right after her and Thugger went viral for talking about GloRilla’s looks on a jail call. The internet, as expected, has been merciless. Young Thug has apologized to Mariah on social media at least twice.

But aside from posting her own song lyrics, she’s been quiet on the cheating and apologies. As for the GloRilla situation, Mariah has been absolutely silent, at least in public. That’s still the case after an audio of what appears to be Glo dissing her and Thugger went viral.

Meanwhile, Thugger is making lemonade outta lemons after trending for using the phrase “whoopty doo.” It appears he’s turning the words into a song.

The Tonight Show is Jimmy Fallon’s vehicle, sure. But only when Cardi B doesn’t stop by.

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper made a classic entrance on Fallon’s late night show Tuesday, Sept. 16, as he was delivering his monologue.

First, Cardi Facetimed the talkshow host. Then — voila! — she strolled onto the set, to share some important information.

Carrying the vinyl of her forthcoming album Am I The Drama?, Cardi showed off the artwork, announced a tour, and urged viewers to get off their armchairs and buy a copy of her long-awaited collection.

“Tell people on your show to get my album. Thank you.” She quipped, “tell your audience or I’m gonna be homeless.”

Her Miss Drama Tour will play 30 arenas up and down North America and will go on sale the following Friday, Sept. 25, Fallon announced.

The trek is booked to kick off Feb. 11, 2026 in Palm Desert, Calif. and take Cardi to Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Portland, Vancouver, Seattle, Sacramento, San Francisco, Phoenix, Houston, Austin, Dallas, Denver, Minneapolis, Indianapolis, Detroit, Kansas City, Cincinnati, Chicago, New York, Newark, Toronto, Boston, Hartford, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C, Raleigh and Charlotte, N.C. and Sunrise, Fla. before winding down on April 17 in Atlanta.

Earlier this week, Cardi revealed that the new LP will feature eight guest artists: Cash Cobain, Janet Jackson, Kehlani, Lizzo, Megan Thee Stallion, Selena Gomez, Summer Walker and Tyla. So far, she’s released two singles from the collection, the Hot 100 top 10 “Outside” and the Jay Z-sampling “Imaginary Playerz.”

JADE Talks 'THAT'S SHOWBIZ BABY!' Album, Her Love of Pop & New Tour

JADE Talks ‘THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY!’ Album, Her Love of Pop & New Tour

by jummy84 September 17, 2025
written by jummy84

It’s no mistake that JADE’s debut solo album THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY! is a thoroughly poptacular affair. “I live and breathe pop, I always have done,” she tells the Billboard Pop Shop Podcast (listen to her full interview, below). “I just am obsessed with it.”

Billboard has called the album “a distinct, dazzlingly ornate record” that takes sonic cues from divas like Diana Ross, Madonna and Janet Jackson, and demonstrates the breadth of her “taste as a pop student and skills as a wide-ranging vocal dynamo.”

JADE first made her mark on the pop landscape as Jade Thirlwall, a member of the British girl group Little Mix. The ensemble was formed in 2011 on the U.K. reality competition program The X Factor and notched numerous hit albums on both sides of the Atlantic, including a whopping 19 top 10-charted hits on the U.K. Official Singles Chart. In 2022, the act went on hiatus while the individual members explored solo endeavors.

Fast-forward to 2024, and JADE’s debut solo single “Angel of My Dreams” hit No. 7 on the U.K. Official Singles Chart. She followed it with another top 40 hit in “FUFN (F— You For Now)” this past March, and won her first solo BRIT Award for Best Pop Act that same month. Through the summertime, JADE played major festivals including Glastonbury, and opened for Chappell Roan in Edinburgh. Her THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY! – THE TOUR kicks off Oct. 8 in Dublin and continues on into the U.K. through Oct. 22 in London, which she has “hope” will come to the U.S.

The Billboard Pop Shop Podcast caught up with JADE quite literally a few hours before THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY! was released on Sept. 12. Here are some excerpts of her chat with the podcast, which you can listen to in full below.

On when the writing process for the album began.

The album writing process started, I think, like three years ago now, right off the back of the Little Mix hiatus. I went straight into the studio, writing nonstop, figuring out what my sound was on my own. And then I think just over, maybe, a year and a half ago was when “Angel of My Dreams” was written. And I think once that happened, that kind of became the catalyst for what the album would be, and everything just fell into place from that point onwards.

How she’s staying in the moment and celebrating the album’s arrival.

In the next few weeks, I just want to be super present with this record. It’s something I’m so proud of and waited a long time for. And I want it to feel like a celebration between me and my fans and see as many of them as possible. And I think in this job, in this music industry, you’re constantly on the move, and you can easily just sort of get swept up in all the politics and the promotion and marketing and all that stuff. And just forget that actually it’s really f—ing cool. And you are able to just make an album, and you should take time to be proud of that and be present for it.

On how SHOWBIZ has an “element of chaos.”

And then I think the album itself has an element of chaos to it, just sonically. And each song is different to the next. I consciously didn’t want it to be a super cohesive or conceptualized album, because the truth is that I was experimenting for this and trying different sounds, figuring out who I am. So I wanted the album to literally sound like that. And with songs like “Angel of My Dreams” or “It Girl,” and, you know, even to “Fantasy,” every song has its own identity. And I guess that’s where the kind of chaos of the record lies. I feel like you can hear it … so that day she was, she was trying this sound, and she was merging these genres. It’s a very sort of experimental pop record, I would say.

On JADE’s love of pop music.

I live and breathe pop. I always have done. I just am obsessed with it. And I’ve done a lot of research. Ever since I was a little girl, it’s always been something I’ve been obsessed with — not just the music, but, like, just every part of it. Like, I’d have the dolls of my favorite artists, and the CDs, and I’d open it up, and I’d look at all the credits and the lyrics and take it all in and study the artwork and the videos. So for me, the best pop artists are the ones that don’t just focus on the music and they see it as a whole brand, I suppose. And so I have a lot of fun with that. And, you know, making a pop record that feels very visual, too. So, yeah, I always knew, and I always will be like a pop girly. But, it was interesting, and it was essential to sort of find out what the JADE sound is. And, like, how do I stand out and make my mark in the pop world?

Did the genesis of SHOWBIZ begin before Little Mix went on hiatus?

I think, like musically, I kind of had an inkling of where I might go. There was a song I wrote for the girls on our fifth album called “Wasabi,” and it kind of became a fan favorite, and it became almost known as like, as my song within the group. And so, I kind of knew that that would be a good starting point. But I think lyrically, it wasn’t until after, I think because I was so used to writing lyrics that were very universal or very relatable for everyone, because in a group you can’t be too personal. It’s not just about you. So, it wasn’t until afterwards, when I was in rooms on my own, and getting more confident and sort of realizing, oh, I actually can just literally write about anything now, and I can be, almost uncomfortably honest at times with, like, my own experience.

On her love of Madonna.

She is one of the best pop stars we will ever get. She reinvents herself with every era, which I find hugely inspiring. As someone that wants a long career, for me, Madonna is the epitome of longevity as a pop artist, and I think that’s when you are so sure of who you are, and you speak up and speak out for things you feel passionate about. I watched her documentaries as a teenager, and I always respected that she wasn’t afraid to be controversial, or afraid to stand up for what she thought was right. So, I’ve took that with me as a solo artist.

On what to expect from her THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY! tour.

I think my THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY concert will play on that sort of theatrical theme. And I’m actually really excited to be in theaters, because it means I can really delve into taking advantage of those stages and making it almost feel like a musical theater production or a cabaret show. So I’m very excited for that. And, all the songs are all very different. So it’s going to make for a, well, a show that won’t be boring. (Laughs.) You know, obviously I love to go in with the costumes, and we’ll have the band and the choreography. So, yeah, I’m really working hard with my creative director on how we make this smaller stage feel like you’ve entered my world and you leave there being like, ‘Oh, fuck, you know, she really made that work.’

Could the tour visit America?

I think so. Yeah, I hope so. We hope so. We’re all putting our heads together of how to make this work. Because I really, really want to get over to the U.S. and do shows there and in Europe and just everywhere. You know, it’s always been a dream of mine to be able to say that I’m doing my own headline show, whatever that is.

Jeezy Extends TM:101 Tour With Vegas Residency, Announces New Mixtape

by jummy84 September 16, 2025
written by jummy84

Jeezy has a lot to celebrate these days. Following the conclusion of the first leg of his Thug Motivation 101 20th anniversary tour in Detroit, the beloved emcee revealed to VIBE that his new mixtape with DJ Drama is set to drop on his birthday.

“We celebrating 20 years of ‘TM: 101,’ which has been amazing. Been a milestone in my career taking an orchestra on the road, but also wanted to keep it going,” Jeezy stated. “I feel like I’m in the zone. I feel like I got my second wind in the creative space so much so that DJ Drama and I are dropping a new project on 9/28, which is my birthday.”

The project is titled Still Snowin’ and is part of Drama’s Gangsta Grillz series. The rapper described it as “one of his favorite projects ever.”

Funny enough, there was a moment in time where this project may not have even happened because of a strife between Jeezy and Drama.

“There was a real situation where we wasn’t really seeing eye-to-eye, and I think the fact that we brought it back full circle and being able to do this with so much love just speaks to our character,” Jeezy reflected. “You don’t really get a lot of friends in this s**t. You just don’t. You don’t get people that’ll stick with you. Me and Drama would probably be 25 years in because it was before I really had a major [label] release that we got down.”

He continued, “When I look back and I see him backstage, just smiling, it just makes me happy to see the crew there. To see the guys that I started with. You don’t really end with everybody you started with, but the people that understand the vision [and] the goal they’re gonna be there. He’s always been that type of person.”

With Still Snowin’, Jeezy praised the fact that their chemistry is still intact. “We still talkin’ that talk and we just on another level,” said the best-selling author.

Jeezy announces Las Vegas residency. He’s transforming the TM:101 live experience into a masquerade for Halloween and the Nutcracker for Christmas. He’s also bringing along a 101-piece orchestra, a larger ensemble than this tour.?

Later in the press conference, Jeezy announced that he would be extending his TM: 101 Live anniversary tour with a Las Vegas residency.

“I got a lot of calls about why we didn’t do the West Coast, and it was very interesting because we were already working on something,” Jeezy teased before the big reveal.

His residency will be housed at Planet Hollywood. The first part, which is masquerade-themed, will take place on October 31 and November 1. The second part will be Nutcracker-themed and occur on December 19 and 21.

When praising the upcoming residency, Jeezy quipped, “If you don’t call that Black excellence and leveling up, then I don’t know what is.”

This time, he is bringing a 101-piece orchestra, conducted by Derrick Hodge. Hodge’s COLOR OF NOIZE ensemble accompanied Jeezy during the initial tour run. The Sin City shows will also be produced by the incomparable Adam Blackstone, who was behind the Waiting To Exhale tribute set at ESSENCE Fest 2025.

Overall, the term “thug motivation” means more to Jeezy today than ever before.

“[Back then], I was just tryna get out of my circumstances, but now when I hear ‘Soul Survivor’ or ‘Trap Or Die,’ that’s me. I lived through that. I been through that,” he confessed. “It’s real life and real records. They say you have your whole life to make your first album. ‘Thug Motivation’ was an amazing album, but I can tell you 20 years later, it really resonates with me now. I am a soul survivor.”

Revisit Jeezy’s major label debut below. Presale tickets for the residency go live on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at Tm101live.com. General on-sale starts on Friday, Sept. 19 at 10 a.m. local time.

Will Oasis Add More Dates to Their Blockbuster Tour?

by jummy84 September 15, 2025
written by jummy84

Back in 1994, Oasis‘ first U.S. tour didn’t go very well. After a legendarily disastrous, crystal-meth-fueled performance at Los Angeles’ Whisky a Go Go, they canceled nine shows. Twenty-one years later, things are a little different: The reunited band just blazed through five sold-out stadium concerts in the States that seemed to have more cultural impact than many other acts’ year-long runs, with grown men weeping, strangers embracing, and U.K. flags waving in New Jersey’s swamplands.

In the new episode of Rolling Stone Music Now, Andy Greene joins host Brian Hiatt for a discussion of Oasis’ triumphant U.S. stint, and all that preceded it. The chat also touches on the band’s possible future, including inevitable speculation about a new album and more tour dates.

We try to figure out just how Oasis got so big during their years off, pondering the fact that the band’s songs have somehow gained relevance over the last couple of decades. We also look at the collective hunger for live rock, the lack of new stadium-level bands, and the fact that Sixties and Seventies classic rock bands are starting to fade away. Another obvious point: So many legendary Gen X bands have lost key members, but Oasis have managed to stick around.

Along the way, the episode includes relevant selections from Noel and Liam Gallagher‘s previous appearances on Rolling Stone Music Now, in 2023 and 2017, respectively. To hear the whole episode, go here for the podcast provider of your choice, listen on Apple Podcasts or Spotify, or just press play above. Some highlights follow:

Noel explains why he wanted to sing lead vocals on either “Wonderwall” or “Don’t Look Back in Anger.” “Liam at the time had got into the habit of walking offstage,” says Noel. “I would always have to finish the fucking gig because there would be a riot if he didn’t finish it. And I thought, ‘I better start writing a few songs for me to sing in case this kind of thing carries on happening.’ I kind of got the sense that both those songs were gonna be big, and I remember saying, ‘I’m singing one or the other.’ He didn’t like ‘Wonderwall’ when he heard it. In fact, he fucking hated it, as did pretty much everyone else until somebody from a record label came down and went, ‘Whoa, that’s the song that’s gonna make us all fucking rich and famous.’ And then he changed his mind and was like, ‘Well, you know, I’ll sing that one then.’ And I sang ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’…. I’m glad I chose that one. I think ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’ is a better song.”

Editor’s picks

Liam explains why he ignores memes and jokes about “Wonderwall.”  ”It’s not a joke to me, man,” he says. “But if people have a laugh at it, feel free. It’s a free world, man. Yeah. But when I sing it, it ain’t no joke, man. I’m doing it for real…. It’s been good to me and I’ve been good to it.”

Noel says people shouldn’t expect him to write the same kind of songs he did in the Nineties. “ I’m not fucking 27 anymore,” he says. “I was 27 once and I fucking changed people’s lives. You can’t carry on doing it. Did it once, twice, even three times even…. Bob Dylan’s the fucking same. Bob Dylan, that guy changed the course of fucking history with those first three albums. You don’t do that anymore. He’ll tell you, even if he wanted to write ‘Like a Rolling Stone’ now, he couldn’t do it, ’cause he’s not that guy.”

Trending Stories

Liam defends the band’s sometimes-maligned third album, Be Here Now. “I like that album,” he says. “I think it’s a great album. I guess in hindsight it could have been better, but what’s hindsight mean when you’re living the dream? You’re doing it in the moment, aren’t you.  We know we took our eye off the ball a little bit, but we’d been grafting since Definitely Maybe. Money started coming in. Buying houses and cars and nice clothes and that… You feel a bit fearless. We were probably drinking too much and, you know, other things, but fuck it. We’d been grafting our asses off, so it’s time to have a bit of a party. We thought, ‘Rock & roll will take care of itself.’ And it kind of did.”

The tour marks the first extended stateside outing in support of NEVER ENOUGH, although Turnstile did play a few US concerts surrounding the LP’s release earlier this year, including an insane park show in their hometown of Baltimore, as well as a gig at Under the K Bridge Park in Brooklyn, New York (revisit our recap and photo gallery). They also recently made history with their appearance on NPR’s Tiny Desk, as frontman Brendan Yates executed the series’ first-ever “desk dive.”

Oasis Launches Latin American Leg of Tour With Mexico City Concert

Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher reunited in Mexico after 17 years on Friday (Sept. 12), and the long wait to see Oasis live again was worth every moment — with the differences that led to their 2009 breakup behind replaced by a celebration of pure, unfiltered rock and roll.

The British band’s inaugural stop in Latin America on their highly successful Oasis Live ’25 reunion tour — which launched in Cardiff, Wales, on July 4 — drew a crowd of 65,000 fans at Mexico City’s Estadio GNP Seguros, according to promoter OCESA. It was the first of two sold-out nights at the iconic venue, which witnessed a majestic two-hour performance featuring songs that have become generational anthems globally.

“¡Viva México!”, shouted frontman Liam Gallagher visibly moved, as he walked onto the stage hand in hand with his brother Noel. “It’s good to be back!”

The massive screens displayed the message “This is happening,” followed by “Mexico City,” setting the tone for an unforgettable night. Later, Liam delivered another compliment that the crowd celebrated enthusiastically: “You’re fuchsia, beautiful, heavenly and majestic.”

The setlist performed in the Latin American country stayed true to what the band has been playing in previous shows, opening with “Hello” and including tracks like “Acquiesce,” “Morning Glory,” “Some Might Say,” “Cigarettes & Alcohol,” “Supersonic,” “Stand by Me” and “Live Forever.” And closing with the powerful “Wonderwall” and “Champagne Supernova.”

As has been the tradition during their reunion tour, Oasis was joined on stage by a cardboard cutout of Spanish soccer manager Pep Guardiola, who leads Manchester City. But here, they gave it a Mexican touch by placing a traditional charro sombrero on it.

One of the most emotional moments came during the performance of “Acquiesce,” when Noel sang the song’s chorus with heartfelt conviction: “Because we need each other, we believe in one another,” creating a feeling of hope among fans.

On the eve of the show, Oasis announced their arrival by lighting up Mexico City’s sky with a drone display that formed the band’s name. The spectacle flew over the majestic Bosque de Chapultepec, surprising locals and quickly going viral on social media.

For this leg of their tour, the Gallagher brothers were joined by guitarist Paul “Bonehead” Arthur, guitarist Gem Archer, bassist Andy Bell, and drummer Joey Waronker. The opening act for the night was the American rock band Cage the Elephant.

On Saturday (Sept. 13), Oasis is set to perform a second night in Mexico City before heading back to London for two shows at Wembley Stadium, on Sept. 27 and 28. The Latin American leg of the tour will resume on Nov. 15 in Argentina, continuing through Chile and concluding in Brazil on Nov. 22-23.
