Mac and Me, the much-beloved and laughably terrible 1988 sci-fi cult classic, has been given a 4K Ultra HD upgrade. Get your copy via Amazon before Paul Rudd buys them all.

A commercial flop and critically maligned, Mac and Me is infamous as a bizarre, low budget E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial ripoff loaded with egregious McDonalds and Coca-Cola product placement. Yet it has survived in pop culture as a piece of “so bad it’s good” nostalgia, as well as the punchline to Rudd’s two-decade-long running gag where he plays the same clip from the movie every time he appears on one of Conan O’Brien’s shows — even his podcast.

Vinegar Syndrome has restored the film from a fresh scan of a 35mm original negative and packed the 2-disc Blu-ray set with features: new commentary tracks from co-writer/director Stewart Raffill and Cinematic Void’s Jim Branscome, as well as film historians Wayne Byrne and Paul Farren; new interviews with Raffill, alien designer/puppeteer Christopher Swift, and actress Christine Ebersole; a new featurette with cinematographer Nick McLean and camera operator Michael D. Nourished by Time: The Passionate Ones Album Review

Midway through “BABY BABY,” a highlight of the excellent new Nourished by Time record, there is a sudden, descending synth swell, coupled with a delirious groan: Baby, baby, baby, baby, baby, baby! This refrain, “baby, baby,” is the centerpiece of the song, and up to now, it has been mellow: a muttered coo, spoken like a groggy lover. As a vocalist, Marcus Brown is dynamic and world-weary, his elastic range spanning the hope and heartbreak of life in a withering empire. Weightless as his music may sound, it is burdened by capitalist rot, which is what makes it wrenching—pinpointing the precise moment you realize, like many Americans, that you are fucked. This despair floods “BABY BABY,” and at this specific juncture, when he trades his mutter for a moan, it curdles into something agonizing. No longer tender, “baby, baby” becomes a cry for mercy: the tipping point between having everything and having it taken from you.

Brown, an outspoken 31 year old from Baltimore, makes music for the things our dystopia steals from us. The moniker “Nourished by Time,” which borrows from “Guided by Voices,” is a statement of process: a “reminder,” Brown explained last year, “that if you put your energy and put your love and heart into something, it has no choice but to bloom.” As in his music, there is a bleak subtext to this beautiful sentiment. Energy, love, and heart—human things—are incompatible with late-stage capitalism, a system where time is not nurtured, but ground, along with people, into profit. His debut, 2023’s Erotic Probiotic 2, had a mournful varnish, a memorial service for hopes crushed and dragged away on conveyor belts. On “Workers Interlude,” when he pleaded “Don’t make me wait so long,” it felt like a meta-commentary: For Black, working-class Americans, time may never arrive to nourish you at all.

The history of revolution, in America, is peppered with cries of Wait! Be patient with the system. Brown’s music is inextricable from this history, which almost makes “Nourished by Time” feel winking, sarcastic. The feeling is more biting than ever on The Passionate Ones, whose titular characters, weary of waiting, wrestle for their humanity in a dehumanizing era. Unlike Brown’s prior releases, The Passionate Ones renders oppression as materially grimy, earthbound, suffocating. Where Erotic Probiotic 2 was hypnagogic in spirit—drawing from ’80s pastiche, sports-television samples, echo-heavy harmonies—this LP foregrounds rawer, more physical elements, without sacrificing Brown’s booming, atmospheric textures. For a musician so adept at concocting dreamscapes, this renewed iteration of post-R&B, punk-tinged and apoplectic, feels bluntly anti-escapist, as if to say: No, this is not music to dissociate to. These times call for urgency.

Apparently, Iris Kendall and Pepe Garcia may have broken up as well. Cheating rumors against Pepe surfaced shortly before the reunion episode’s air date. A woman claimed via Snapchat that she hooked up with Pepe at a hotel this summer. And while Pepe hasn’t commented on the rumor, Iris deleted all of her Instagram photos featuring him, and they unfollowed each other on the social media platform.

Iris also seemingly hinted at her split from Pepe by sharing a sunset picture along with Fleetwood Mac’s “Silver Springs” via her Instagram Stories ahead of the reunion’s air time. “Silver Springs” is famously about the downfall of a relationship.

Meet Arco. Neon has unveiled the first look teaser trailer for a sci-fi animated adventure movie titled Arco, produced by Natalie Portman and directed by young French animation filmmaker Ugo Bienvenu (follow him @ugobienvenu) as his feature directorial debut after many comics and shorts before. What if rainbows were actually time travelers flying across the sky? On his first flight through time, Arco crash lands from the year 3000 into our near future. His fall is witnessed by a little girl, Iris, who helps him return home. Set in 2075, a ten year old girl, Iris, meets Arco. He comes from an idyllic far future where time travel is possible. Iris shelters him and will do whatever it takes to help him return to his time. A wondrous odyssey filled with hope and optimism for our future, Arco is an enchanting fable from breakout filmmaker Ugo Bienvenu. The English-language voice cast for the US release features Will Ferrell, America Fererra, Flea, Natalie Portman, Mark Ruffalo, & Andy Samberg. It’s set for release in theaters this November in the fall. This premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival and will next screen at TIFF & Sitges coming up soon. Enjoy. 🌈

A magical and beautifully animated journey through time, Ugo Bienvenu’s Arco is a dazzling adventure about a 10-year-old boy from a peaceful, distant future who accidentally travels back to the year 2075 and discovers a world in peril. As Arco develops a charming and touching friendship with a young girl named Iris, they band together and along with her trusted robot caretaker Mikki, set out on a quest to get Arco home, while the two kids may also be the only ones who can save our planet. Arco is directed by the French comic book artist / animation filmmaker Ugo Bienvenu, making his first feature film after directing many other short films and work co-directing on the “Ant-Man” animated TV series. The screenplay is written by Ugo Bienvenu & Félix de Givry. Produced by Sophie Mas, Natalie Portman, Ugo Bienvenu & Félix de Givry. This initially premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival earlier this year. Neon will debut Bienvenu’s Arco film in select US theaters starting on November 14th, 2025 later this fall. Look good? ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ Photos Reveal Time Jump and New Baby in Season 6 Cast — Who’s Returning?

All Creatures Great and Small fans, don’t fear. Despite Callum Woodhouse saying he was “done” in a Season 6 teaser shared by PBS earlier this week, the series has assured that he’s not leaving the show. The All Creatures Great and Small Season 6 cast list has just been revealed, and it confirms that he will be back as Tristan Farnon alongside his fellow longtime costars. It also reveals a time jump in Season 6 and a new baby for the Herriot family!

That August 19 behind-the-scenes video also made fans wonder why Anna Madeley (Mrs. Hall) wasn’t present, but she’ll be back in the new season. The August 21 announcement also came with the first photos from Season 6, set to premiere in 2026 in the U.S., and the announcement of five new cast members. It’s a busy day for fans of this heartwarming series.

All Creatures Great and Small Season 6 takes us back to the beautiful Yorkshire Dales for more heartwarming human and animal tales but, this time, we find our beloved Skeldale gang in a somewhat different situation as we join them in 1945, just as the war in Europe is coming to a close. We arrive back in Darrowby to veterinary advancements, expanded families, and new faces as they all look ahead to a brighter and more peaceful future. This season will see Herriot’s wonderful characters navigating the opportunities that a new world brings, a host of animals great and small, and of course, each other.

This marks a four-year time jump between Season 5 and 6. Season 5 was set in the spring of 1941.

Who is in the All Creatures Great and Small Season 6 cast?

Nicholas Ralph reprises his role as devoted vet James Herriot, alongside Samuel West as the brilliant yet unpredictable business partner Siegfried Farnon. Anna Madeley returns as the steadfast Mrs. Hall, with Rachel Shenton once again as capable Helen Herriot, and Callum Woodhouse as the mischievous Tristan Farnon, still serving with the Royal Army Veterinary Corps. Patricia Hodge delights as the elegant Mrs. Pumphrey, joined by her cherished Pekingese, Tricki. Also featuring are Tony Pitts as Helen’s no-nonsense father, Richard Alderson, and Imogen Clawson as her spirited younger sister, Jenny.

Newcomers to the cast this season are Lucy-Jo Hudson, Gaia Wise, Jonathan Hyde, Philip Martin Brown, and Chris Gascoyne. Returning guest cast are Mollie Winnard, Conor Deane, Cat Simmons, and Lamin Touray.

When does All Creatures Great and Small Season 6 come out?

Season 6 will premiere in the U.K. (on channel 5) this fall and in the U.S. in early 2026, PBS confirms. The new season will consist of six episodes plus a Christmas Special.

The series based on James Herriot’s beloved books is produced by BAFTA and Golden Globe-winning company Playground (Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light, The Hardacres, The Undeclared War) and Masterpiece on PBS, in association with global partner All3Media International.

Their Love Story
As per reports, Parineeti and Raghav started dating in London because they had both been there studying. They also grew close while shooting for Amar Singh Chamkila in Punjab because Raghav would visit her on set every day. The two got engaged in May 2023 at Kapurthala House, New Delhi, and tied the knot in an extravagant ceremony at The Leela Palace, Rajasthan, in September 2023.

What’s Next for Parineeti
Parineeti was last seen in Imtiaz Ali’s Amar Singh Chamkila alongside Diljit Dosanjh, playing Amarjot Kaur. She is now preparing for her OTT debut in a Netflix mystery thriller, with the title yet to be announced.
