Young Thug Shows Up To Court To Support Metro Boomin In Producer’s Civil S3xual A$$ault Trial

#YoungThug is showing up for those who matter to him. The rapper took time out of his schedule to appear for day two of court proceedings in #MetroBoomin’s civil s3xual a$$ault trial. He was spotted heading inside the Los Angeles courthouse wearing green pants and a white tank.

As reported, A woman, Vanessa LeMaistre, has accused the producer of r@ping her in a #BeverlyHills hotel room in 2016. On day one of the trial, LeMaistre testified that taking the psychedelic plant Ayahuasca eight years later helped her realize that she needed to seek legal action.

#Metro’s legal team has slammed the allegations, saying she’s upset he “stopped giving her attention after the last time they had s3x.” They added, “We are here because she thought my client could solve her financial problems. And so she made a claim that he s3xually a$$aulted her, expecting that he would just write a check to make it all go away quickly and quietly.”

The trial is expected to conclude on Friday (Sept. 26)

Earlier this month, the clips began circulating on social media. In one, Young Thug admitted he cheated on Mariah The Scientist before serving his time. Then, in another, he reportedly revealed that he had relations with a correctional officer.

Ultimately, the leaked audios appeared to lead to Thug and Mariah going their separate ways.

Cardi B Responds to Young Thug Pushing His Album Release Back

by jummy84 September 18, 2025
written by jummy84

Young Thug is happily clearing the way for the arrival of Cardi B‘s long-awaited sophomore album Am I the Drama? Friday (Sept. 19) by making sure his own upcoming album UY Scuti drops later.

“Yall know I wasn’t dropping Friday. It’s a ladies day,” he wrote on X Wednesday night (Sept. 17) with a heart emoji. “Do yo s–t @iamcardib.” She sent back her own words of encouragement by replying, “And you better step next week …you got this, You know this !!”

Ahead of Am I the Drama?, Cardi revealed the album’s 23-song tracklist Thursday (Sept. 18), which includes previously released singles “WAP” (featuring Megan Thee Stallion), “Up,” “Outside” and “Imaginary Playerz” as well as more collaborations with Summer Walker (“Dead” and “Shower Tears”), Selena Gomez (“Pick It Up”), Kehlani (“Safe”), Lizzo (“What’s Goin On”), Cash Cobain (“Better Than You”), Lourdiz (“On My Back”), Janet Jackson (“Principal”), and Tyla (“Nice Guy”).

As for Thugger’s UY Scuti, he initially revealed this Friday as the release date at the tail end of his apologetic “Miss My Dogs” video that dropped last week, which addressed his trials and tribulations with his girlfriend Mariah The Scientist, Drake, Gucci Mane, 21 Savage, Future and Lil Baby. In a since-expired Instagram Story from Wednesday, the Altanta-bred MC teased another track with producer 808 Mafia while writing “Next Friday,” meaning Sept. 26. UY Scuti is now expected to drop the same day as Mariah Carey’s sixteenth studio album Here for It All and Doja Cat’s fifth studio album Vie.

Earlier this week, Thug was announced as one of the performers at Coachella next year, marking another major post-prison performance following his headlining stint at Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash this past June and ComplexCon next month.

GloRilla Takes Aim At Young Thug, Mariah The Scientist On Diss Track

by jummy84 September 14, 2025
written by jummy84

GloRilla took it to the booth in reply to insulting remarks from Young Thug, revealed during a leaked jail call last week.

In response to the recording, where Thugger refers to the Memphis artist as “ugly,” GloRilla has dropped a diss track targeting the Atlanta rapper over Hot Styles’ 2008 “Lookin’ A** Ni**a” beat.

The track starts off with Glo jokingly calling herself “Brianna,” as the Business Is Business rapper called her that as he scoffed at the thought of people comparing her to Rihanna.

Glo goes on to compare Young Thug’s — or “Young Bug” as she calls him — looks to everything from a “Black and Mild” to a “Jamaican Vegeta,” also taking shots at his fashion sense and the more feminine ‘fits he’s rocked over the years.

“Cut shirt wearin’ a** ni**a, skirt wearin’ a** ni**a
A bug on the ‘Gram ’bout to chirp lookin’ a** ni**a
A pain in the a** tryna hump lookin’ a** ni**a
A ho in the mirror ’bout to twerk lookin’ a** ni**a
.”

She also references the fact the Young Thug attempted to flirt with her before the recordings revealed what he said about her looks.

Young Thug wasn’t the only target, however, as his girlfriend, Mariah The Scientist, also caught a few shots for entertaining Thugger’s insults over the phone. Glo took a few playful jabs, like comparing the singer to a “sexy Winnie The Pooh,” but also called out Mariah’s seeming willingness to put up with cheating and general disrespect from the “Parade On Cleveland” rapper.

“Birdie and the freak lookin’ a** bit*h
Brain size of a pea lookin’ a** bit*h
I don’t care if he cheat lookin’ a** bit*h
Long as he come home to me lookin’ a** bitch (Ha, haha).”

Many have noted that GloRilla and Mariah The Scientist hit the stage together as recently as June for Hot 107.9’s Birthday Bash in Atlanta, adding an interesting layer to both the song and their friendship.

Despite dishing out a few bars aimed at the couple, Glo was also sure to state that the track is “all fun and games,” and that she doesn’t have any hard feelings. Check out the track below.

After the initial phone call was leaked, Young Thug took to X to apologize to the “TGIF” rapper, writing, “@GloTheofficial first of all I’m sorry to u for my words and I honestly don’t think ur ugly at all, I was speaking from jail just having a hard time with life.. I don’t like bashing girls and hardly ever did.. I’m sorry to u twin.”

Young Thug Apologizes To Mariah The Scientist In “I Miss My Dogs” Song

by jummy84 September 14, 2025
written by jummy84

Young Thug is now baring his soul and apologizing to those he hurt in his newest song “I Miss My Dogs,” just days after leaked jail calls surfaced online.

The Atlanta rapper released his new single on Thursday (Sep. 11) clearing up some of the remarks he made while on the phone, and delivered a heartfelt apology. The emotional record, shared alongside a video and lyrics posted to Instagram, hears Thugger addressing infidelity, loyalty, fractured friendships, while taking full accountability for his mistakes.

One of the most poignant moments comes when he directs his lyrics to his longtime girlfriend, Mariah the Scientist. “Baby, I’m sorry/ One of my biggest fears is losing you to the internet,” he raps. “Waking up in our bed with you right by my neck… pillow talking ain’t my name/ Baby, I love you/ I know you see this rain, I know you feel my pain.”

Later, he admits to his role in the hurt he’s caused her, confessing, “I’m sorry for being a part of these ho*s laughing at you… I’m the reason you crashing.”

He also addressed his strained friendship with Lil Baby, who he says hasn’t been “answering his calls,” while showing love to Drake for holding him down. “Drizzy, you my brother/ You know I ain’t going against you/ Came to visit me at Cobb County like my kin do,” he raps. He even mentioned his attempt to reconcile Metro Boomin and Future with Drake, saying, “Trying to get you, Metro, and Pluto on the same page/ The internet don’t know about it because real ni**as don’t say, real ni**as do.”

Listen below.

The 34-year-old didn’t mention GloRilla in the “I Miss My Dogs” rap, even though one leaked call surfaced with him calling Glo “ugly as f**k.” The YSL pioneer had already took to X to apologize. “First of all I’m sorry to u for my words and I honestly don’t think ur ugly at all… I was speaking from jail just having a hard time with life. I don’t like bashing girls and hardly ever did.. I’m sorry to u twin,” he wrote.

GloRilla, however, doesn’t seem to be accepting his apology at the moment. The Memphis rapper allegedly dropped a track of her own called “Looking A** Ni**a” where she roasted Thug and his girlfriend. In one bar she calls him a “tootsie roll with dreds” and Mariah The Scientist, “Tweety Bird.”

Listen to the snippet below.

Despite all of the controversy, Young Thug announced on Instagram that his highly anticipated album UY SCUTI will arrive on Sept. 19.

Today is Friday, which means there are a ton of new releases to look forward to from some of your favorite Hip-Hop artists. To help you unwind and enjoy the weekend, check out VIBE’s picks of songs and albums you should hear and add to your soundtrack of weekend festivities.

  • Drake Featuring Julia Wolf, Yeat – “Dog House”

Drake’s latest Iceman episode also yielded “Dog House” featuring Yeat and Julia Wolf, one of the teasers fans took a huge liking to.

The official release begins with Wolf singing a beautiful riff before transitioning to a rage beat. Drizzy has been exploring this sound over the years and has melded himself to it quite well, bouncing along with the chaotic production and dropping catchy one-liners along the way.

Yeat did his usual screamo type rap, producing one of their best collaboration of the three songs they have done together. “IDGAF” has been a big hit at their live shows, so perhaps “Dog House” will quickly join the mix. – Armon Sadler

  • Young Thug – “Miss My Dogs”

Young Thug responded to all of the negativity coming his way with the seven-minute confessional “Man I Miss My Dogs.”

In it, he apologized to Mariah The Scientist for mistreating her, and Drake, Future, Metro Boomin, Cash, 21 Savage, Gucci Mane, and Lil Baby for talking badly about them in his leaked jail phone calls.

This is perhaps the most vulnerable Thugger has ever gotten, and for those who are fans of “We Should” and “We Ball,” they know that he is at his best when he is pouring his heart out over a beat as opposed to the standard rap flexes.

It had been hard to be excited for Uy Scuti these last few months, but “Man I Miss My Dogs” is a reminder of how exceptional Thug can be when he expresses himself through songs instead of tweets. – AS

  • Ice Cube – ‘Man Up’

After nearly four decades in the rap game, Ice Cube proves he’s still a force to be reckoned with on Man Up.

The album kicks off with the thunderous title track—a no-nonsense lyrical call to arms that sets the tone for Cube’s sharp, unapologetic commentary. “Freedumb” dives headfirst into the dangers of AI, social media, and algorithmic control, while “Act My Age” flips the script on ageism, bolstered by a standout verse from the ever-reliable Scarface.

Their chemistry also shines on “It’s My Ego” alongside Quake Matthews. From the gritty confidence of “Respect My Space” to his steadfast refusal to fold, Cube reminds us why he’s lasted this long: authenticity, fire, and a message that still matters. Man Up is veteran rap done right. – Preezy Brown

  • Polo G – “Shoot It Off”

Polo G “Shoot It Off” cover artPolo G “Shoot It Off” cover art

Polo G has felt incredibly absent since ascending in 2020 and 2021. It is likely he won’t recapture that momentum, but “Shoot It Off” is a nice reminder of his rap mettle.

The beat is pretty basic, with a consistent drum pattern and beautiful strings in the background. The simple production allows his bars to take the forefront, and his assertive delivery was refreshing to hear. He is vulnerable, reflective, introspective, really everything people seek in “substantive” rap.

It’s hard to imagine this beat a hit, but it doesn’t feel like that was the intention here either. The two-minute track plays more like a stream of consciousness and display of his lyricism, and that is more than welcome. – AS

  • Juicy J, Rick Ross, LunchMoney Lewis, MadMaxx – “Moneyfly”

“Moneyfly” feels like a trap back to 2011. Juicy J, Rick Ross, LunchMoney Lewis, and MadMaxx created a time capsule record, falling between a car anthem and a stadium bop.

Juicy raps well, employing his signature vocals and cadence over an immersive beat. Rozay especially stands out here; though everyone loves his slower, luxury type flow, his trap beat delivery often gets overlooked. He recaptured the vibes of a “BMF” or “Tupac Back” on this record.

The best part of the song is the hook; it is simple, easily memorable, and has cool nuances scattered throughout. Shoutout to the rap veterans still doing this at a high level. – AS

  • TiaCorine Featuring JID – “Backyard”

TiaCorine 'Corinian' Cover ArtTiaCorine 'Corinian' Cover Art

TiaCorine and JID delivered an alternative rap-type record with “Backyard.” The BPM and certain sounds lean more toward rock, but don’t get it confused, they bring the bars in full force.

Tia reminded everyone why she burst onto the scene so hard a few years ago, attacking this beat with the precision of the Green Bay Packers defense. And JID, well, what is left to say? He can rap over any type of beat, fusing impressive wordplay with seamless flow switches and fun vocal inflections.

“Backyard” is equally polished and rough, allowing their emotion to come through but also impressing listeners with its arrangement. – AS

  • Rapsody – ‘MadRaps’

With MadRaps, Rapsody teams up with Madlib for a compact, two-track offering that feels both grounded and experimental—proof that she’s not only keeping pace with hip-hop’s evolution but also shaping it.

On “Daddy’s Girl,” she floats over Madlib’s mournful production, confronting misogyny in the industry with razor-sharp wit and a boldness that never panders. “Avon Thru The Wire” finds her bending vocal identity through AI voice modulation, cleverly exploring gender perception while keeping lyrical substance intact.

MadRaps is a daring, thought-provoking glimpse into Rapsody’s next chapter—short in length, rich in vision. – PB

  • Jermaine Dupri – ‘Magic City’

Jermaine Dupri’s Magic City is a glitzy, bass-heavy tribute to the legendary Atlanta strip club, bringing together a stacked lineup of hometown heavyweights.

The opener, “Tryna Beat The Thrill” featuring Skooly, sets the tone with energy to spare, while tracks like “A** Shake” (Quavo, Ludacris) and “This or That” featuring the late Rich Homie Quan stand out as undeniable highlights.

Though the album’s momentum dips at times, the star power and cultural homage make Magic City worthy of a spin. – PB

Young Thug just can’t seem to stay quiet — and this time, he’s going on an apology tour online. And, you already know, the internet is buzzing. But, who exactly is he reaching out to? And, what went down? You might want to swipe through…because this one’s packed with receipts.

Young Thug Out Here Issuing Apologies Like It’s A Group Text!

In a recent Instagram post, Young Thug publicly apologized to a long list of heavy hitters in the rap game and beyond, including Mariah The Scientist, Drake, Lil Baby, 21 Savage, Gucci Mane, and more. Fans are wondering what sparked this round of public apologies, but so far, Thug seemingly hasn’t spilled all the tea. One thing’s for sure: this isn’t your average “my bad” moment — it appears that Young Thug is trying to clear the air with some of hip-hop’s biggest names and loved ones.

Along with his emotional and revealing letter, Thugger also dropped a music video for ‘Man I Miss My Dogs’ — and now fans and the industry are watching closely, waiting to see what he does next. Check out the video here.

Have Drake & 21 Savage Accepted His Apology?

Ohkay! It looks like Drake and 21 Savage are feeling Thugger’s apology vibes — both rappers double-tapped his heartfelt IG post where he publicly said sorry, including shoutouts to them. While fans are still debating the timing and the motive, some are taking those likes as a quiet nod of forgiveness. We wonder who else will forgive Thugger next…

Thug’s IG Apology Tour Has Everybody Talking

The Internet is NOT letting Young Thug slide with his apologies. The Shade Room comments are pure comedy and chaos! Some folks are saying he’s only apologizing because he got caught up, while others are clowning the font choice like, “Not the Declaration of Independence font, my eyes hurting!” Meanwhile, a few are side-eyeing the whole thing like, “Why he ain’t apologize to Gunna tho?” — chile, this is tew much!

From Mariah To Kendrick?! Thug’s Jail Call Tea Is Overflowing!

If you thought Young Thug’s whole RICO saga was in the rearview, baby, think again! Thugger recently hit X with a quick, “AI jail calls is crazy,” after some wild AI-generated clips started making rounds — but the real calls? Chile, they’re even crazier. Leaked audio from his time behind bars in Cobb County has been shaking the internet, with bombshell convos between him and Mariah The Scientist, plus a few slick comments about industry names like Kendrick Lamar, Future, and even Andre 3000. It’s gotten so messy that the county is reportedly shutting down any new requests for his jail calls altogether.

Thugger returned with the apologetic “Man I Miss My Dogs” on Thursday night (Sept. 11), which is an apology tour of sorts, as he addresses his trials and tribulations with girlfriend Mariah The Scientist, Drake, Gucci Mane, 21 Savage, Future and Lil Baby.

The YSL boss kicks off the seven-minute track apologizing to Mariah The Scientist, as he hopes to win her back after the singer stuck by him throughout his two-year-plus jail stint fighting the YSL RICO case.

“Baby I’m sorry, one of my biggest fears is losing you to the internet/ One of my biggest fears is waking up in our bed without you right by my neck/ Saying don’t you break a sweat, pillow talking ain’t my game,” a beaten-down Thugger melodically raps.

Thug also shows love to Drake, whom he allegedly dissed in a jail call, for visiting him when he was behind bars. “Drizzy, you my brother/ You know I ain’t going against you/ I got manners/ Everything you did for the rap community can’t ban you/ Never diss you/ Came to visit me at Cobb County like my kin do/ F— the jail call, you know the other calls we had,” he raps.

Next, he moves to Lil Baby, as it appears that WHAM isn’t picking up his phone calls at the moment. There’s been a clear divide in the friendship of the once powerful triumvirate of Thug, Baby and Gunna since the RICO case.

“WHAM pick up the phone, yeah talk to me it’s Spider/ Taught you everything you know about this s—t we for lifers,” Thug implores.

He also attempts to clear the air with 21 Savage, letting the Slaughter Gang honcho know they’re on good terms. “Savage you a real n—a/ Don’t let them tell you different,” Thug proclaims.

After plenty of chatter, Thug is attempting to finally control his narrative and the reclamation of the Atlanta rapper is on. He’ll have plenty more to say, as the long-awaited UY SCUTI album is slated to arrive on Sept. 19.

Young Thug Issues Apology To Mariah The Scientist, Drake, Lil Baby, Future & More After Leaked Jail Calls Spark Chaos Online

Young Thug has shared a multi-post lyrical apology to his loved ones and fellow rappers who may have been hurt by the flurry of leaked phone calls from jail.

In a lengthy Instagram post, the rapper expressed regret to those he offended, beginning with Mariah The Scientist.

“Baby, I’m sorry. One of my biggest fears is losing you to the internet,” he wrote. “F**k a jail call. I was playing. I’ll never leave you.”

He later extended an olive branch to Drake, whom he was also heard criticizing in one of the recordings over his handling of Metro Boomin following the death of Metro’s mother.

“Drizzy, you my brother. You know I ain’t going against you,” Thug wrote.

He then addressed Lil Baby directly in another post, pleading for communication.

“Wham pick up the phone, talk to me it’s Spider. Taught you everything you know about this s**t. We lifers.”

Future was also mentioned. Thug previously called him out for not organizing a “FreeYoungThug” concert while he was behind bars.

“We foundation of men, we learned that s**t from Pluto,” he wrote. “It’s all love and respect on my end.”

Will Thug be able to mend fences with everyone he name-checked?

Sheesh! Boosie Pops Off After Kodak Black Slams His Silence On Young Thug's Leaked Jail Calls (VIDEO)

Boosie, Kodak Black Share Words Over Young Thug Jail Calls

Boosie isn’t holding back on Kodak Black, and the war of words is about Young Thug! The internet has been yapping about leaked audio of Thugger’s jail calls for the last two weeks. Several celebrity names, including Gunna and GloRilla, have come up on the call. Still, not all of them have clapped back. Also, supporters who were vocal during Young Thug’s detainment and trial have seemingly gone silent. So, when Kodak Black put Boosie in that category, the Baton Rouge rapper sounded off!

Kodak Black Calls Out “Spokesperson” Boosie

As mentioned, Boosie was set off by a social media comment Kodak Black shared about him and Thugger. It’s unclear where the Florida rapper shared his thoughts, but it appears to be an Instagram comment. Live Bitez shared a screenshot on September 10.

“Where The Hell Boosie @??? FAM Was Just The Spokesperson For This Sh*t NOW AIN’T GOT NUN TO SAY. These N****s Bullsh*t,” Kodak Black wrote.

While it might come off a lil’ shady, Kodak isn’t wrong about how hard Boosie went behind Young Thug. He was especially set off when Gunna accepted a plea deal in December 2022, leading to his early exit from the YSL RICO case. At the time, Boosie tweeted that the ‘Wunna’ artist was a “rat” and that the situation brought tears to his eyes and felt like a brother betrayal.

Baton Rouge Rapper Goes IN On Kodak

After Boosie peeped what Kodak Black had to say, he slid on X (formerly Twitter) with a harsh response and warning on Wednesday (September 10). He tweeted that he’ll speak “when it’s time” and called it “business.”

“I GET A BAG to speak on these situations. N believe me somebody coming with it 😃 N you wrong I shouldn’t have energy at all for this sh*t with what I’m going through.”

Boosie didn’t specify who he expects will pay him for his thoughts. However, fans have already said they smell a VladTV interview on the way. And the “sh*t” Boosie has going on? Well, that’s likely a reference to his resurfaced legal issues. Last month, he accepted a plea deal in his federal gun possession case more than two years after prosecutors first charged him. After a brief dismissal in 2024, the government refiled his charges. His last hearing was scheduled for August 26, per Billboard. He’s reportedly been out of jail on a $100,000 bond.

That said, Boosie also suggested Kodak Black is still holding on to his July 2023 remarks about his collaboration with Tekashi 6ix9ine. At the time, the Louisiana star said the Florida artist had no principles or morals. Also, he threw dirt on his street cred. On Wednesday, Boosie mentioned that while also blasting Kodak Black for his drug use.

“N u must be still mad bout my remarks about you. Let’s that sh*t go n admit you regret it now 💯 Your career been down hill ever since.U f**king over your legacy. You go be known as a drug attic before before your talents‼️on top of that u checked Pc my n*gga COME ON MANE u walked to the left when u got off the bus. The whole FED system will tell you this. I don’t wanna go back-and-forth with you. Get off the drugs and go get you some helping u f**king the wrong one n*gga ‼️#unotoneofus #uaintlikethat”

After tweeting about Kodak, Boosie doubled down on his remarks in an Instagram video. He said, in part: “I shouldn’t even have no energy for that sh*t.”  See what else he said about why he’s holding back from speaking about Young Thug’s situation.

Mariah The Scientist Tells Thugger Kodak Tried To Shoot His Shot In New Leaked Call

Speaking of Kodak and Young Thug! A new leaked jail call exposed the Florida rapper’s interest in Thugger’s boo, Mariah the Scientist. In the audio, reposted by Live Bitez, she’s heard telling Young Thug about the DM Black sent. He allegedly promised her “queen treatment,” but she denied him, allegedly replying: “I got a man and I ain’t going against what I got.” Thugger didn’t offer much in response and even refused to guess the rapper when Mariah asked him to.
