bitchy | Taylor Swift wore Thom Browne for a dinner out with Sabrina Carpenter

Taylor Swift has owned an apartment in New York for over a decade, and for much of that time, New York has been her base. She obviously has other homes, in Newport, LA and Nashville, but she loves New York. I think it’s really cute that she consistently wants the New York paparazzi to get full-length photos of her outfits too. It’s great for gossip blogs, fashion blogs and the press, and it happens so often, I have to believe that Taylor’s security has explicit instructions to let photographers get shots of her ensembles when she’s out and about.

So it was on Friday night, when Taylor went out to dinner with Sabrina Carpenter. They went to the Corner Store in Soho – you can see the menu here, it sounds really good. Lots of steaks and seafood. Taylor’s shirt and skirt are from Thom Browne and I kind of hate those separates! The skirt is sort of interesting, but she probably should have paired it with a cream knit or something. Her purse is from The Row, and her platform heels are Gucci. The audacity of tall-ass Taylor wearing platform heels for dinner with SABRINA! Short-ass Sabrina, who is barely five feet tall. You can read more about Taylor and Sabrina’s looks here at Vogue – Taylor wore a lot of jewelry and Vogue ID’d it all.

Earlier on Friday, the Recording Academy released the 2026 Grammy nominations. Taylor was SNUBBED! LOL, no, she wasn’t. The Life of a Showgirl came out after the 2025 eligibility period, so if Showgirl gets Grammy noms, it will be in 2027. Sabrina’s 2025 album, Man’s Best Friend, got six nominations including ROTY, SOTY, AOTY, best pop vocal album, best pop solo and best music video. Kendrick Lamar – a Swift ally and friend – picked up the most Grammy noms for his (spectacular) album GNX. Bad Bunny, Justin Bieber Lady Gaga and Billie Eilish also picked up some significant nominations. I have my fingers crossed for Kendrick to sweep the major categories though. You can see the full list of nominations here.

Thom Yorke Would “Absolutely Not” Perform in Israel, Radiohead Reflect on Recent Backlash

by jummy84 October 27, 2025
written by jummy84

Over the past year, Radiohead has faced growing criticism for their past decisions to perform in Israel, as well as for guitarist Jonny Greenwood’s continued collaborations with Israeli musicians and his performances in Tel Aviv even after the country’s invasion of Gaza. As a result, both Greenwood and frontman Thom Yorke have been met with protests. Yorke was notably heckled by a pro-Palestine audience member during a solo concert in Melbourne, Australia, in October 2024, prompting him to briefly walk offstage. Greenwood, meanwhile, recently canceled two UK shows with Israeli musician Dudu Tassa after receiving alleged threats linked to protests against Israel.

Ahead of their comeback tour in November, Radiohead’s members addressed the controversy — and their increasingly divergent individual stances on the issue — in a new interview with The Sunday Times.

Earlier this year, Yorke published an extensive statement responding to criticism over his reaction — or perceived lack thereof — to Israel’s war in Palestine, while condemning what he described as “social media witch hunts.”

Expanding on the subject with The Sunday Times, Yorke said, “This wakes me up at night. They’re telling me what it is that I’ve done with my life, and what I should do next, and that what I think is meaningless. People want to take what I’ve done that means so much to millions of people and wipe me out. But this is not theirs to take from me — and I don’t consider I’m a bad person.”

“A few times recently I’ve had ‘Free Palestine!’ shouted at me on the street,” Yorke continued. “I talked to a guy. His shtick was, ‘You have a platform, a duty and must distance yourself from Jonny.’ But I said, ‘You and me, standing on the street in London, shouting at each other? Well, the true criminals, who should be in front of the ICC [International Criminal Court], are laughing at us squabbling among ourselves in the public realm and on social media — while they just carry on with impunity, murdering people.’ It’s an expression of impotency. It’s a purity test, low-level Arthur Miller witch-hunt. I utterly respect the dismay but it’s very odd to be on the receiving end.”

Greenwood was also critical of perceived attempt cancel both him and Radiohead. “It’s the embodiment of the left,” Greenwood told The Sunday Times. “The left look for traitors, the right for converts and it’s depressing that we are the closest they can get.”

The Radiohead guitarist revealed he’s working on a new record with Israeli and Middle Eastern musicians, adding, “And it’s nuts I feel frightened to admit that. Yet that feels progressive to me — booing at a concert does not strike me as brave or progressive.”

He continued, “Look, I have been to antigovernment protests in Israel and you cannot move for all the ‘Fuck Ben-Gvir’ stickers. I spend a lot of time there with family [he is married to an Israeli artist, Sharona Katan] and cannot just say, ‘I’m not making music with you fuckers because of the government.’ It makes no sense to me. I have no loyalty — or respect, obviously — to their government, but I have both for the artists born there.”

When asked about the possibility of playing another concert in Israel, Yorke was firm in his response: “Absolutely not. I wouldn’t want to be within 5,000 miles of the Netanyahu regime. But Jonny has roots there, so I get it.”

“I would also politely disagree with Thom,” Greenwood replied. “I would argue that the government is more likely to use a boycott and say, ‘Everyone hates us — we should do exactly what we want.’ Which is far more dangerous.”

“It’s nuts,” Greenwood added. “The only thing that I’m ashamed of is that I’ve dragged Thom and the others into this mess — but I’m not ashamed of working with Arab and Jewish musicians. I can’t apologize for that.”

Yorke also admitted to being concerned about Radiohead’s upcoming tour being disrupted by protestors. “But they don’t care about us. It’s about getting something on Instagram of something dramatic happening and, no, I don’t think Israel should do Eurovision. But I don’t think Eurovision should do Eurovision. So what do I know?”

As for the other members in Radiohead?

Guitarist Ed O’Brien, who previously posted in support of a Free Palestine on social media, pointed out that Radiohead played Ramallah in the West Bank as well. He added that he was “not going to judge anybody… But the brutal truth is that, while we were once all tight, we haven’t really spoken to one another much — and that’s OK.”

Drummer Phil Selway remarked that, “What BDS [ Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions] are asking of us is impossible. They want us to distance ourselves from Jonny, but that would mean the end of the band and Jonny is coming from a very principled place. But it’s odd to be ostracized by artists we generally felt quite aligned to.”

And bassist Colin Greenwood recalled the hours after September 11th, when Radiohead were playing a concert in Berlin. [Some Americans in the audience] started to shout at Yorke: “Say something!” Greenwood remembered the singer eventually responded: “What do you want me to say?”

Elsewhere in their interview with The Sunday Times, the decision to go on hiatus, their impending comeback tour, the possibility of new music, and more.

Nicole Scherzinger hopes to plan Thom Evans in Hawaii ‘soon’

25 October 2025

Nicole Scherzinger hopes to marry Thom Evans in Hawaii “soon”.

Nicole Scherzinger has revealed where she plans to tie the knot

The 47-year-old singer got engaged to the 40-year-old former rugby player in 2023, but the couple haven’t had the time to walk down the aisle yet due to the former Pussycat Doll’s stint in Broadway’s Sunset Boulevard.

Asked if they plan to tie the knot soon, she told The Sun newspaper: “Definitely we want to get married. I mean, listen, Norma Desmond and Sunset Boulevard took the past two years of my life, which was life-challenging but worth it.

“But we’re super-excited to get married, and we plan on getting married in Hawaii. That’s where I was born and my papa is an Archbishop there, so we plan on getting married in Hawaii, hopefully soon.”

The Don’t Cha hitmaker swooned over her partner’s plans to wear a kilt on their big day.

She continued: “I’m so excited. Thom wants to wear a Scottish kilt. How cool would that be? It will be beautiful. To think this guy from one island met this girl from this little island in the Pacific and came together. It’s like some Disney fairytale.”

Nicole went on to reveal that she surprisingly gets plenty of sleep next to her “hot” fiancé.

She added: “But yeah, he is a Greek God.

“He’s literally a Greek God. The other day, we were running. I didn’t even want to run any more, but I just kept running to watch him run.

“I was like, ‘I’m just chasing you ’cause you’re so hot’.”

In June, Nicole admitted work was getting in the way of wedding planning.

She told Britain’s HELLO! magazine: “Oh, there’s no wedding planning, honey. When you do Broadway, it’s only Broadway. You eat, sleep – you don’t sleep much – and breathe Broadway.

“Thank God I have a very understanding and wonderful and the most supportive fiancé.”

Roger Waters blasts ‘timid’ and ‘unpleasant’ Thom Yorke in latest row over Israel

Roger Waters blasts ‘timid’ and ‘unpleasant’ Thom Yorke in latest row over Israel

by jummy84 October 7, 2025

7 October 2025

Roger Waters has hit out at “timid” and “unpleasant” Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke.

Roger Waters has launched a fresh attack on Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke

The Pink Floyd co-founder, a longstanding supporter of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, has repeatedly attacked Yorke and Radiohead for choosing to perform in Israel and for what he perceives as their weak alignment with the Palestinian cause.

Speaking on The Katie Halper Show, the 82-year-old musician said of Yorke: “He’s a timid little bloke. I think he’s unpleasant company. I wrote him many letters you know.”

The tension between Waters and Yorke dates back to 2017, when Radiohead went ahead with a concert in Tel Aviv despite calls – including from Waters – to cancel under a cultural boycott of Israel. Waters has publicly opposed such performances ever since, citing his alignment with BDS since 2011.

When asked if Yorke ever replied to his letters, Waters said: “Yes, he did respond. It’s all going in my memoir. He got very very snarky and he was trying to be fun[ny].”

Yorke, for his part, has defended his past actions and clarified that Radiohead does not support Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu any more than they endorse US President Donald Trump.

At the time, he said: “Playing in a country isn’t the same as endorsing its government.”

Earlier this year, Yorke issued a lengthy reflection on the Israel–Gaza conflict as he described an incident during a solo show in Melbourne when he was heckled by a protester.

The 57-year-old singer posted on social media: “Some guy shouting at me from the dark last year when I was picking up a guitar to sing the final song alone in front of 9000 people in Melbourne didn’t really seem like the best moment to discuss the unfolding humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza. Afterwards I remained in shock that my supposed silence was somehow being taken as complicity, and I struggled to find an adequate way to respond to this and to carry on with the rest of the shows on the tour.

“That silence, my attempt to show respect for all those who are suffering and those who have died, and to not trivialise it in a few words, has allowed other opportunistic groups to use intimidation and defamation to fill in the blanks, and I regret giving them this chance. This has had a heavy toll on my mental health.”

Thom Browne Spring 2026 Ready-to-Wear Collection

Thom Browne Spring 2026 Ready-to-Wear Collection

by jummy84 October 7, 2025
written by jummy84

We’re in fashion’s Paris heartland at the late Karl Lagerfeld’s former Left Bank home, the ornately splendiferous Hotel Pozzo de Borgo, and we’re here for the spring 2026 show of Thom Browne, that most American of American designers, though really we’re somewhere else—deep space, light years away. We’re about to have a Close Encounter of the Third Kind at Browne’s show, which offered up a wildly entertaining and witty fantasy of fashion’s meeting with alien life. The tiniest downside to doing this review of Browne’s exquisitely wrought collection is that I will now out myself as a mega-nerd, because I spotted quite a few of his nods and references. I may be the only person in that audience, save for perhaps Hamish Bowles and the Costume Institute’s Andrew Bolton, also Brits d’un certain age, who for instance knew that the eerie swooping and throbbing electronica on the soundtrack at one point was Delia Derbyshire’s radiophonic theme for the British sci-fi show Dr. Who. (I may never live this down.)

Browne’s show opened with a phalanx of silver-haired and silver-skinned figures in his trademark gray tailoring, a green Mekon face embroidered onto the jackets’ breast pockets, solemnly walking through the corridors where Karl once presided, handing out cards at random to those in the audience. I didn’t get one, but I had a squint at Anna Wintour’s; it said …We Come In Peace… Meanwhile, the Close Encounters call and response music from Steven Spielberg’s movie was playing, building to a crescendo as the first of Browne’s collection landed on terra firma: his new jacket shape, here in gray seersucker, cut to hug the torso, with a shoulderline which curves forward, echoing that of the inset of a raglan sleeve; a fractional alteration of line which changed everything. “We were in a fitting and just playing with the shoulder,” Browne said at a preview. “I knew I wanted to develop a new shape. Will it feel different when you wear it? It does, yes. And then the proportion of the skirts, pleated, low slung above the knee… it feels very beautiful, and very young.”

Browne was right on both counts. His new jacket was worked a million different ways, while always retaining the essentially Thom Browne-ian East Coast athletic vibe, with his Americana seersuckers and repp stripes. The execution of so many variations in fabrications and techniques was impressive: tweeds light enough to float into the stratosphere; check formations woven out of silk chiffon; and, lined with striations of zippers or bands pierced with silver rings, these latter two giving a little punk hauteur, a kind of raw rebuke to the precision of their make. (It wasn’t just his jackets which had been lavished with work yet never lost their jauntiness; a series of coats towards the close of his show looked like they’d been dipped in constellations of beads or dripped with liquid mercury.)

That very first jacket, in gray seersucker, was one of several alien-like figures which punctuated the show. This one came with multiple arms, and narrow trousers also with multiple legs, accessorized with a green Mekon headpiece. This and Browne’s other strangely beguiling creatures in tailored form throughout the show were a testament to the terrific skills of his ateliers; a curving jacket and skirt which reminded me of the bulbous robot from Forbidden Planet, while others might feature a coat conjured out of a multitude of red striped varsity jacket sleeves, or a blue poplin and gray seersucker controlled explosion of a ball skirt—so big it could have its own gravitational pull—with chunky-knit chevron-striped preppie-ish sweaters.

“I like people to see both sides of how I design,” said Browne. “The conceptual and the real—but even with the conceptual pieces this season there’s something very real in how we approached them.” And Browne is even happier if you see beyond the dual expression of his work and interpret it through your own lens. After a grueling few days in Paris, his giddily fun show was a welcome moment of humor and joy. But of course, in his evocation of friendly, open armed aliens—we come in peace, indeed—it was hard not to see a sly yet serious comment on the state of the world right now; about who does and doesn’t get to be welcomed to a new world. But that’s just my interpretation. What we can all likely agree on: This was one terrific collection.
