Is Aisha Hinds Leaving ‘9-1-1’? How 2026 Return Promo Teases Hen Concerns

by jummy84 November 14, 2025
written by jummy84

Uh-oh, is there another shake-up coming to the 118 when 9-1-1 returns with its next new episode on Thursday, January 8, 2026? The promo and what’s been going on with Hen (Aisha Hinds) suggests that could be a strong possibility.

In the November 13 fall finale, titled “Family History,” Hen began showing some worrying signs. There was what she wrote off as a rash and possible allergic reaction on her hand, then a hand tremor in the middle of a call. Then, at home alone, she collapsed and was unconscious long enough for it to turn from day to night. When her wife, Karen (Tracie Thoms), calling woke her, she lied and said she was stuck at work.

Maddie (Jennifer Love Hewitt) noticed her stumble, but Hen brushed it off and then asked the former nurse about her symptoms, claiming they had been a patient’s. She did, however, latch onto something Maddie said during the conversation, leading to her going to a medical spa for a CT at the end of the episode.

Now, the promo for the January 8 return, which you can watch above, shows Hen talking to Athena (Angela Bassett) and it at least makes it look like she’s filled her best friend in on what’s going on. “I know I gotta tell them,” Hen says. “I’m just not ready for this to be the end of my story.”

Hen’s hand tremor comes up again, this time during a call with a woman in active labor, and she tells Eddie (Ryan Guzman) to glove up. “What?” he asks, confused.

Then, the 118 is called to a fire, and Chimney (Kenneth Choi), now the permanent captain, issues orders, including putting Hen on search and rescue. However, the video ends with her taking off her mask and collapsing. Will this be the point she can no longer hide what’s going on from the others?

This can’t be setting up Aisha Hinds’ exit, right?! Something tells us this will end up being something that can be treated but might mean another change, at least temporarily, at the 118.

What’s your theory about what’s going on with Hen? Let us know in the comments section below.

Netflix Games President Alain Tascan Teases Offerings To Be Played on TV

by jummy84 November 13, 2025
written by jummy84

The sun was a few hours from setting when doors opened at the Netflix on Vine studio space as the streamer hosted an official Netflix Game Night for press, partners and guests on Wednesday afternoon.

The digital showcase gave attendees an exclusive opportunity to play recently released Netflix Games made for smart TVs while getting a sneak peek at upcoming launches as the streamer continues its push into becoming a one-stop shop for all things entertainment.

“Our vision is simple,” Netflix Games president Alain Tascan said in kicking off the presentation in front of a standing room only crowd. “Can we make playing a game as simple as streaming a movie on a Friday using the same innovative mindset that led Netflix to transform itself from a company shipping DVDs to streaming, movies, shows and now games. I tell my team almost every day we have a golden ticket, the opportunity to reinvent the way people play games, but also engage and reengage with IP and worlds they are familiar with. So hopefully today you’ll see the potential of what can be games on Netflix and on the TV, where the majority of our audience is.”

The event, and Tascan’s comments, come a little more than a month after Netflix co-CEO Greg Peters announced to Lucas Shaw at Bloomberg Screentime that the streamer was making a move with its games division from offering a suite of mobile apps to games that can be played on TVs for the first time using smartphones as controllers. Group games dominated the first rollout with currently available titles like Boggle Party, LEGO Party, Party Crashers: Fool Your Friends, Pictionary: Game Night and Tetris Time Warp. Up next: Dead Man’s Party: A Knives Out Game that features detective Benoit Blanc (played in the franchise by Daniel Craig) and allows users to solve a mystery in which everyone playing is a suspect.

The games range from existing IP like the LEGO franchise to Netflix originals and beyond. Tascan, who joined the streamer last summer from Epic Games, explained why they’re doubling down in his division.

“At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world but entertainment isn’t just about shows and movies. Right now, more than three billion people around the world are playing games. It’s the biggest entertainment shift in the last 30 years. Games tell a story and we are home of the best storytellers on the planet. It’s why I’m so excited about what we’re creating At Netflix. Our strategy is to give people something familiar, whether it’s a game they know or a world they love, but we also want to take advantage of the rich and innovations at Netflix to push games in new and unexpected directions.”

It was Netflix Games vp Jeet Shroff who said that one of those directions won’t require any movement as they want subscribers to simply keep the Netflix app open on on their TVs all night. “Let’s say it’s Friday night, dinner’s done and you’re looking for something to do. Forget fumbling through that board game closet. Just open up Netflix,” said Shroff, who explained that scanning a QR code allows smartphones to become game controllers. “You’re going to have a blast with your family and friends. You can go straight from watching KPop Demon Hunters to playing a party game without ever leaving Netflix.”

That’s not to say that Netflix is abandoning its mobile games. Far from it. There are 80 mobile options and more on the way, including high profile launches. The “coming soon” lineup includes PAW Patrol Academy, the wrestling sim WWE 2K25: Netflix Edition starring superstars like Roman Reigns, Trish Stratus, Undertaker and Rhea Ripley, the daily game Netflix Puzzled featuring hot titles like Stranger Things, Squid Game, KPop Demon Hunters, Bridgerton and Emily in Paris, and Red Dead Redemption.

Courtesy of Netflix Games

To tease another launch, Tascan and his Netflix Game Night team then allowed attendees to be among the first to play Best Guess Live hosted by TV and media personality Hunter March (Sugar Rush, Nightly Pop) and Howie Mandel in what was presented as a live stream from another location. Reminiscent of the wildly popular Trivia HQ, the mobile game show is sure to be a weekday phenomenon that allows users to compete in real time against real players for cash prizes. Best Guess Live offers up five clues, which last 20 seconds each, allowing users to drop their answers as quickly as they can to beat the competition. Speaking of, one reputable journalist in attendance beat the competition by guessing that March and Mandel were just down the hall, and they were. After the game had ended, the two raced over to surprise the crowd and join Tascan for some final comments.

“You can see why games on Netflix are going to be different. And let me be clear, we are not here to compete with consoles. We’re creating a completely new way to play games,” Tascan concluded. “One that’s as easy as streaming a show on a Friday night. On the TV and film side, we’ve gone from sending DVDs through snail mail to streaming films and movies to an audience of more than 700 million people around the world. It’s in Netflix’s DNA to innovate and push boundaries. In the history of gaming, some of the biggest successes have come from taking big swings and now we’re going to apply that same innovation to games. We’re going to keep experimenting and entertaining the world. This is just the beginning.”

“Since launching earlier this year, [World of Peppa Pig] been one of our top 10 most played games every single week,” said Kids Games general manager Lisa Burgess. “Kids don’t just want to watch their favorite characters, they want to play with them and leap excitedly into those worlds. And parents love finding these games in a place they already know and trust.”

Questlove Teases Posthumous D’Angelo Album: “You’ll See Soon”

by jummy84 November 11, 2025
written by jummy84

Questlove has revealed that a new album by the recently-departed D’Angelo is currently in the works.

The musician and filmmaker spoke about the prospect of new music from the late R&B star with entertainment reporter Courtney Tezeno this past weekend,

“You’ll see soon,” Questlove teased prior to a tribute performance honoring Sly Stone at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Los Angeles, offering a brief but strong hint regarding new music from D’Angelo being unvaulted.

Questlove attends the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony at Peacock Theater on November 08, 2025 in Los Angeles, California.

He then added, “It’s always the sound of yesterday, but for the future. This record is no different.”

Although the posthumous project has no title or release date yet, its very existence represents a new chapter to come in the crooner’s legacy.

It remains to be revealed whether the forthcoming album will consist of songs fully completed by D’Angelo himself, or whether Questlove (as curator, producer or archivist) will sculpt unfinished material into a finished work, but the promise alone has sparked excitement among fans.

For now, only the cryptic assurance remains. In the meantime, beloved tracks like “Lady,” “Cruisin’,” and “Really Love” serve as reminders of D’Angelo’s singular talent, his influence on generations of artists, and the potential of what might yet emerge from this new chapter.

Questlove’s connection to D’Angelo runs deep. The drummer/producer of The Roots first met D’Angelo in the mid-1990s and the two forged a musical bond that helped shape the sound of that era. D’Angelo earned four Grammy Awards and fourteen nominations over his career.

His earlier albums — Brown Sugar (1995) and Voodoo (2000) — were touchstones of the neo-soul movement, with Voodoo winning the Grammy for Best R&B Album and its single “Untitled (How Does It Feel)” taking Best Male R&B Vocal Performance.

The Virginia native’s last studio album, Black Messiah, dropped in 2014 and received widespread acclaim.

Frank Darabont Teases David Harbour Scene

by jummy84 November 7, 2025
written by jummy84

The Shawshank Redemption director Frank Darabont gave a glimpse into his favorite scene he shot for Stranger Things Season 5 at the Volume 1 Los Angeles red carpet premiere.

Darabont, who came out of retirement to direct on the Netflix series after connecting with creators Matt and Ross Duffer, helmed Episode 3, “The Turnbow Trap” and Episode 5, “Shock Jock.”

“There was a couple of things with David Harbour’s character where I wanted to crank up the heat a little bit. There’s a great scene, my favorite scene out of all of them that I shot where Harbour is interrogating Alex Breaux[’s character],” the director told Deadline. “I thought, ‘These guys are two alpha dogs,’ and I really wanted to see them butting heads more.”

The Duffer brothers supported Darabont’s vision when he asked to intensify the scene.

“It was such a thrill. It’s definitely one of my favorite scenes,” Darabont continued. “I’m such a fan of both of those actors. I’m a fan of all these actors. I loved working with them. What a group of stone cold professional, incredibly pleasurable people to work with.”

When asked if he bonded with the Duffers over Stephen King or Shawshank, the director also teased an easter egg to look out for that references his early filmmaking career.

“There’s actually a fun little easter egg that they suggested,” he said. “There’s a little clip of one of my very, very early movies that you’ll see, a little moment or two of my very first screen credit.”

After getting lunch with Matt and Ross Duffer, the brothers called Darabont up and asked if he’d like to come direct an episode, which he did not see coming. It then turned into two, and the director said it was a “giddy thrill” to contribute in a big way to the final season, making him feel like a kid again.

Shetland star teases Calder romance — but with complications

by jummy84 November 5, 2025
written by jummy84

Shetland might be a gritty crime drama, but that doesn’t mean it’s devoid of levity – as we see in the opening scene of season 10, when Calder regales Tosh with a recent dating disaster.

“We were getting to the end of the meal, we were talking… just all the usual first date stuff,” she said. “And then I looked up and…”

Calder’s date had fallen asleep, in the middle of his tiramisu.

“So what did you do?” asked Tosh.

“I paid the bill and I left. I didn’t want to disturb him,” laughed Calder, who clearly wasn’t aggrieved by how the date had panned out.

“I think the thing with Calder is, I think she’s gone on to this online dating app because she feels that she has to, a little bit, because that’s the way people do it,” Ashley Jensen told RadioTimes.com.

“She lives in Shetland, there’s not that much to do,” joked Alison O’Donnell. “So you might as well go on a date.”

She’s not wrong…

“But I think that she’s a lady of a certain age, when you used to meet someone and feel a frisson with them,” Jensen added. “And I think ultimately, that’s what she would rather do.”

Read more:

Calder then goes on to say that she’s “done with all this dating lark”.

“Well, for a while, anyway.”

Or so she says…

When the body of retired social worker Eadie Tulloch is uncovered, Calder and Tosh set about trying to unmask who killed her – and why.

“The case will see them excavate the victim’s life, past and present, as well as the lives of those who knew her,” reads the official synopsis.

And one such person is Eadie’s estranged son, Ed, to whom Calder breaks the news.

During their first interaction, there’s nothing to suggest that there could be something bubbling away between the pair. But Calder soon discovers that Ed didn’t get along with his mum and hadn’t spoken to her in over a year — something she’s able to relate to, given her own complicated relationship with her late dad.

But when Calder returns to Ed’s pub that evening — during a poetry night — to speak to him about his mum’s finances, their dynamic shifts, just a little.

He’s been asked to identify Eadie’s body as her next of kin, and he asks Calder if she’ll accompany him.

“Be great to have a friend. I mean, I know we’re not friends, but I knew Cal… we were in a band together way back.”

Cal Innes was an old flame from Calder’s younger years, and when she returned to Shetland, it quickly became clear that that flame hadn’t entirely been extinguished, with the pair spending the night together.

But they never had the chance to explore what their relationship could be, or if it could be anything at all, because Cal was killed while driving under the influence of both drink and drugs, leaving the detective emotionally crushed.

Following Ed’s request, Calder hesitates while processing his connection to Cal, before agreeing to be present while he identifies his mum.

He then responds with a look that could simply be gratitude — but this is Shetland, so you’d be forgiven for expecting more.

Rather than leave, Calder decides to stay and watch Ed read a poem he’s written after being summoned by a friend, and this time, the expression on her face suggests that there will be more to come between the pair.

“When she meets the son, it’s a bit like, oh, right, okay,” explained Jensen. “And I think that there’s a kind of element of he didn’t talk to his mum — they had a very strange, strained relationship, as did Calder with her dad. And I think that there’s an affinity there, a kind of understanding.

“Plus, I think she probably just fancied him as well… so there is an energy there, shall we say.”

But O’Donnell was quick to point out that “there’s a conflict of interest there”.

“Absolutely,” agreed Jensen. “And that’s why, in this series, things become enmeshed and entwined in certain ways they ought not to be.”

Tamera Mowry Teases Possible Return to the ‘Twitches’ Franchise

by jummy84 October 31, 2025
written by jummy84

What To Know

  • Tamera Mowry confirmed there is interest in making Twitches 3, but emphasized that several factors need to align for the project to move forward.
  • The original Twitches films starred Tia and Tamera Mowry as twin witches and became beloved Disney Channel classics.
  • Tamera suggested a potential plot for Twitches 3 could involve the sisters’ children inheriting magical powers.

It’s been 20 years since Tia and Tamera Mowry starred in the beloved Disney Channel original movie Twitches, and fans are clamoring to see the sisters reprise their roles as twin witches for a third installment.

“I mean, I would love to. I would love to,” Tamera exclusively told TV Insider of doing Twitches 3. “I think there are a lot of things that would have to align. And then, there’s so much pressure when the original was so iconic.”

Tamera’s expectations for a potential third movie are high, but for good reason. “It would break my heart if we were to do another one and it wasn’t as great as the first, and then, now, that’s what people remember.”

According to the actress, fans could see Twitches 3 come to fruition sooner rather than later. “I will say, there is interest,” Tamera teased. “That’s the cool news. We heard that. Now, it’s just making sure that everything aligns.”

Six years after wrapping their six-season run on the sitcom Sister, Sister, Tia and Tamera starred as sisters Alex and Camryn in the 2005 Disney Channel film Twitches. Inspired by the book series of the same name by H. B. Gilmour and Randi Reisfeld, Twitches follows the sisters as they discover each other — and their powers — 21 years after a dangerous force known as the Darkness nearly destroyed the magical dimension of Coventry.

Tia and Tamera reprised their roles for the 2007 sequel, Twitches Too, which saw the sisters adjust to their new lives as Coventry royalty, as well as team up to save their father, whom they previously believed to be dead.

The movies also starred Patrick Fabian as Thantos, Kristen Wilson as Miranda, Kevin Jubinville as Aron, Pat Kelly as Karsh, Jennifer Robertson as Illeana (played by Leslie Seiler in Twitches Too), Arnold Pinnock as David, Karen Holness as Emily, Jessica Greco as Lucinda, Chris Gallinger as Demitri, and Nathan Stephenson as Marcus, among others.

Tamera previously opened up about her desire to do Twitches 3 in an interview with Entertainment Tonight earlier this month. “Disney Channel, Disney+, let’s make it freaking happen. Let’s do it, so I can say, ‘Go Twitches! Go Twitches!’ and, ‘Lame, loser, whatever, moron!’”

John Medland / © DISNEY CHANNEL / Courtesy Everett Collection

As for a potential plot? “My sister and I would definitely have kids. We would have kids, they would have the power, and then, we would be like, ‘Oh, no! Please, no! We don’t want them to go through what we went through,’” Tamera pitched. “And then, obviously, something happens in the world, and we’re like, ‘Oh, wait. We’ve got to fight this evil. So, are you ready to reunite?’”

In an October 3 Instagram post, Tia called it a “blessing” to be a part of a “Halloween classic.” She added, “Sometimes I get so caught up in what’s ‘next’ and then I have to stop and remind myself, ‘Damn Tia, you and Tamera have done some ICONIC things.’ ❤️ Thank you for keeping Twitches alive and loved all these years 🪄✨💞.”

Orville Peck will release a new EP, Appaloosa, on Nov. 14 via Warner Records. The country artist previewed the release with “Drift Away,” a reflective, nostalgic anthem.

The song showcases small-town ennui in the post-pandemic era as Orville croons, “Watch the kids ridin’ shotgun roads/ In ’21 all the movies closed/ High and dry they got nowhere else to go.” He adds, “It’s not about gettin’ out/ It’s about lettin’ go, don’t ya know?/ Drift away with me/ Drift away with me.”

Appaloosa will feature seven tracks, including a collaboration with Noah Cyrus titled “Atchafalaya.” The pair previously teamed up on the recent “Love Is a Canyon” and last year’s “How Far Will We Take It?”

Next month, Orville will hold his 7th Annual Rodeo. The event runs Nov. 14-16 in Pioneertown, California, at Pappy & Harriet’s. It will feature performances from Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Joy Oladokun, Hurray for the Riff Raff, Allison Russell, and more. Peck will play a different set each day, including a headlining set on Saturday, Nov. 15.

Peck’s last album, Stampede, arrived last summer. It followed his EP, Stampede Vol. 1, a collection of duets he has recorded with Willie Nelson, Elton John, Noah Cyrus, Midland, Allison Russell, Nathaniel Rateliff, and Bu Cuaron. Since then Peck has unveiled several tracks, including “Tennessee,” a collaboration with Kesha.

After making his Broadway debut in Cabaret, Peck recently wrapped filming on 2026 film Street Fighter. The musician is playing masked assassin Vega.

Exclusive: Sonja Weißer Reveals What to Expect From Maxton Hall Season 2, Teases Season 3

by jummy84 October 23, 2025
written by jummy84

After the breakout success of the first season, the elite boarding school drama Maxton Hall: The World Between Us is returning with its much-anticipated second season. Ahead of its release, we caught up with Sonja Weißer, who plays Lydia Beaufort, the ambitious twin sister of the lead character, James Beaufort (Damian Hardung). This season, Lydia continues to navigate personal struggles while chasing her ambitions and fighting to be taken seriously in a world that often dismisses her dreams.
Played with quiet strength, Sonja’s Lydia emerged in Season 1 as more than a side character, ending the season in turmoil after her affair with teacher Mr Sutton and an unexpected pregnancy came to light. As season 2 expands her storyline, we asked Sonja whether she drew on any personal experience to portray Lydia’s evolution.

She answers, “I can relate to it as a woman in this society. I can see myself in Lydia in moments where she has to adapt to patriarchal structures and has to try to break out of them. I can identify with that, and I think almost every woman can. She’s evolving, she’s getting braver, she’s trying to have her own way and to break out of the structures that she was brought up in.”

The German show is based on the 2018 novel titled Save Me by Mona Kasten and follows the collision between Ruby Bell (Harriet Herbig-Matten), a hardworking scholarship student with dreams of getting into Oxford, and James Beaufort, the arrogant heir to a wealthy family empire. When Ruby accidentally uncovers Lydia’s affair with their teacher Graham Sutton, she is thrust into the ruthless world of privilege, secrets, and manipulation.

Sonja continues, “Lydia is a great character, she is a great woman. I’m very pleased to play her because I think she has a lot of nuances to her. She has such a fierce personality, but at the same time, she’s very loyal and also passionate and creative. What I’m also excited about is the friendship that she’s building up with Ruby, Lin (Andrea Guo) and Ember (Runa Greiner). And that was very fun to play as well because we haven’t seen her with any friends yet. And she was always quite alone or with her brother. So, to explore this new formation for Lydia was very exciting, and I’m very pleased for everybody to see that.”

Sonja

Talking about some of her memorable moments from the sets, she continues, “A great day we had was when we shot a scene with the girls where he released sky lanterns. That was Harriet’s birthday as well. We were outside on a summer day, and there was a great energy. I loved filming with those girls because before I was just filming with boys, which was fine too. But that was a nice energy we had together.”

As the new season builds toward bigger emotional stakes and deeper character arcs, Lydia finds herself at the centre of key turning points that will shape what comes next.

When asked about the possibility of a third season, she answers, “I wish I could tell you, but I think you will be satisfied with watching the whole of season two and everything that’s coming up with it. And for season three, we can say that it’s going to happen. When it’s going to happen, I sadly cannot tell. I don’t know, but I can be excited for it.”
She also told the audience what to expect from season 2. “You can expect a lot of dark emotions, a lot of drama, a lot of trust that is getting broken, grieving, but new friendships, new spotlight on other characters, and just exploring the conflicts and the different protagonists even deeper.”

Maxton Hall season 2 will return on Prime Video starting November 7.

Reba McEntire Teases Retirement ‘Could be in 20 Years’

by jummy84 October 21, 2025
written by jummy84

“I think I’ll know when it’s time,” the tireless country legend said in a new interview

Reba McEntire celebrated her 70th birthday back in March, an age when many people may be thinking about retiring, but the country music and TV great still thinks she’s got another couple of decades left before retirement.

When asked when she might retire in a new interview with People, McEntire replied frankly, “I don’t know when. It could be in 20 years.” (That would put McEntire at the ripe age of 90.) She added: “I think I’ll know when it’s time.”

McEntire went on to recall how she and Dolly Parton talked “an awful lot” about retirement way back in the early 2000s, when Parton was a guest star on McEntire’s hit sitcom, Reba. “I said, ‘Are you going to retire?,’” McEntire remembered. “[Parton] said, ‘Why would I? What in the world could I do and have as much fun as what I’m doing in this job right now?’ I agree with her a hundred percent. Slow down, maybe, but no plans of retiring.”

McEntire is, of course, as busy as ever. She’s currently doing her fourth stint as a coach on The Voice, which is in the middle of its 28th season. And the second season of her new sitcom, Happy’s Place, is about to launch its second season Nov. 7 on NBC.

“I love this chapter in my life. I’m very grateful,” McEntire told People.

Back in May, McEntire was also enlisted to host the 60th Academy of Country Music Awards, marking her 18th time at the helm of the awards show institution. To open the big anniversary show, McEntire performed a decade-spanning medley, saluting one Song of the Year winner from each of the last six decades.

Farah teases Jackie about Polio ad

At one point, Farah brought up the iconic polio advertisement that once made Jackie Shroff an internet sensation. The behind-the-scenes video of the ad, which featured Jackie abusing people while urging them to vaccinate their children, became viral years after its release in 89-90. The internet has not yet stopped laughing at Jackie’s unfiltered delivery, turning it into a meme goldmine across social media platforms. What was once a government awareness campaign suddenly turned into a pop-culture moment, celebrated for its mix of humour, lots of curse words and Jackie’s signature swagger.

Farah couldn’t resist teasing him about the advertisement and said, “Gali dene wale man ke saaf hote hai. (People who abuse are pure at heart)” Jackie, quick with his wit, immediately corrected her with a grin: “Aise mat bolo, sab gaali dene lag jaenge aur mujhe bolenge! (Don’t say like that, as everyone would abuse and will blame me)” The lighthearted exchange had everyone on set in splits, including Farah’s cook in splits.

Jackie’s latest work

On the professional front, Jackie Shroff has been keeping busy. He was recently seen in Housefull 5 alongside Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh. He was also seen in Anupam Kher’s directorial Tanvi The Great, which premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. Jackie was also part of the hit Telugu film They Call Hik OG, which starred Pawan Kalyan in the lead. His upcoming films include Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday’s Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri and Welcome To The Jungle.

About Farah’s cooking vlog

Farah Khan and Dilip’s cooking vlog has become a fan-favourite series for its mix of food, fun, and celebrity candour. Over the months, several stars, including Kajol, Ajay Devgn, Chunky Panday, Sania Mirza, and Karan Johar, have joined Farah in the kitchen to share laughs and interesting recipes.
