Veteran actor Pankaj Dheer, renowned for his role as Karna in BR Chopra’s Mahabharat, passed away on October 15 after a long battle with cancer. His former co-stars Karan Tacker, Vatsal Sheth, Ishita Dutta, Arjun Feroze Khan, and Tanuj Virwani have expressed their heartfelt tributes, remembering him as a joyful and kind-hearted person.

As reported by Hindustan Times, the co-stars of the late actor have paid their last tributes.

Arjun Firoz Khan

Arjun Firoz Khan shared, “He was one of the finest gentlemen I’ve ever worked with in Mahabharat, and truly a remarkable human being. He will be deeply missed. We were school contemporaries—though in different schools, we used to play cricket together. Pankaj had an infectious smile that made everyone around him feel happy and at ease.”

Karan Tacker

Karan Tacker recalled, “Pankaj ji was the first senior actor I had the privilege to work with in Rang Badalti Odhani. He treated me like a son, with so much kindness and affection. His passing was a shock, but he will always be remembered with love and respect. My deepest condolences to his family.”

Ishita Dutta

Ishita Dutta shared her feelings, “Hearing the news gave me goosebumps. Working with him was a privilege. He used to bring sandwiches from home just for me and would always save some home-cooked food for me. Everyone who worked with him knew what an incredible person he was. Sadly, I only met him once after the show, and it reminds us how short life is. My prayers are with his family.”

Vatsal Sheth

Vatsal Sheth expressed his sorrow, “It’s very shocking and sad. I had the honour of working with him in my first film, Tarzan and on a show with Ishita. We spent a lot of time together in Goa, where he always made sure everyone was comfortable. He would bring buttermilk for the team every day, even in the heat.”

Tanuj Virwani

Tanuj Virwani reflected, “I worked with him on Poison in 2019. Though we only shared two days on set, he was a wonderful, sporting co-star. He knew my mother, Rati Agnihotri, and was very courteous to me. He would rehearse lines with me before scenes. I’m saddened by his passing, especially since I grew up watching him. I had no idea he was battling cancer, and his loss is a big blow to the industry.”

Beyond his legendary role in Mahabharat, Pankaj Dheer appeared in popular TV series like Chandrakanta, The Great Maratha, Kanoon, and Sasural Simar Ka. His notable films include Saugandh (1991), Sadak (1991), Baadshah (1999), Soldier (1998), and Tarzan: The Wonder Car (2004). His last rites will be performed at Pawan Hans crematorium in Mumbai’s Santacruz at 4 PM today.

Karan Tacker recently reflected on starting his acting journey at the age of 22 during the era of Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Salman Khan. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, he revealed that television was the only viable option to enter the industry at that time.

Karan Tacker Recalls Being 22 As An Actor In Shah Rukh, Aamir-Salman Khan Era

When asked about why he chose to do television at the beginning of his career, Karan said, “I was too young to become an actor in films. It’s not like koi 22-23 saal ka actor tha, I’m talking about the time of Shahrukh and Aamir and when they were reigning. They are still reigning, but I’m saying when they were in the prime of doing what they were, and Bollywood was very different as a business than what it is today.”

He further added, “You see youngsters today, and you see very young actors today. But the general understanding of what an actor was very different, I remember even Abhishek Bachchan had his launch around when I was growing up and he was also in his late 20s or maybe early 30s I’m not quite sure but refugee right and he was like this man- man like when he came like but today’s let’s say the people who get launched are like boyish so at my time nobody was launching boys as film actors so there was no option but to do television or do theater.”

Karan opened up about the need for money. He said, “ Let’s say if I wanted to become an actor, but because I was not really an actor, going to the theatre would have been a very different journey, plus I also needed money. The whole idea was making money, and this industry definitely gives you more money than, let’s say, a job.”

Karan Tacker was last seen in Bhay: The Gaurav Tiwari Story, Special Ops 2 and Tanvi the Great.

Karan Tacker Opens Up About His Break From Television For 7 Years| Bollywood Bubble

written by jummy84

Karan Tacker recently spoke about the seven-year gap in his television career, revealing how he kept himself busy during the time. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, the actor shared that he would host and dance at weddings while he was on a break from his television career. Scroll below to read the snippets and watch the full interview.

Karan Tacker Opens Up About His Break From Television For 7 Years

Speaking about taking a break from TV for 7 years, Karan said, “I did TV for 5 years, and I waited for seven years. In those seven years, I was hosting shows, I was hosting reality shows, and I was hosting and dancing at weddings. I was doing whatever it took to run my house.”

The actor also opened up about why he never did Bigg Boss. He said, “Big Boss is not my scene. I think the Big Boss really throws you out in front of an audience, and people love consuming people from the Bigg Boss. I see my entire Instagram is always filled and flooded with people from Bigg Boss.”

He further added, “Jinko maza aata hai dekhne mein unko maza aata hai, mujhse toh dekha nahi jata. Mein toh itna ladai jhagde dekh hi nahi sakta jitna voh log kar lete hai. Mujh mein aur shamta nahi hai reality show karne ki, mene ek kiya tha aur mein samajh gaya. I am not the right person for this because I’m not an entertaining guy.”

Karan On Reality Shows

Karan opened up about reality shows and why he would never be a part of them. He said, “I feel like reality requires you to be entertaining slightly on the front foot, and in general, in real life, you have to be like you have to be slightly more flamboyant with your sense of entertainment, and you have to be that much more exuberant. Now, unfortunately, I’m not that. So I’m not somebody who can play that role. So for me, a big boss or any other reality show was always something that I didn’t look at at all.”

Karan Tacker was last seen in Bhay: The Gaurav Tiwari Story, Special Ops 2 and Tanvi the Great.
