Margaritas, Anyone? Margherita Maccapani Missoni Toasted to Her First New York Pop-up in Style

Making for a pre-holiday market of sorts, there’s also unique glassware by Laguna B, Iacobella handbags, elaborate creations by NV Milano, and Vincent Vintage antiques. Given Missoni’s passion for community and pairing vintage accessories with her contemporary designs, bringing the made in Italy offering to a Manhattan audience made perfect sense.

“Compared to my past work, this is really me,” Missoni told Vogue—referring to her mission to “make comfort look chic.” Missoni spoke of the significance of the wilted daisy emblem found on many of her designs, which refers to the idea that “we cannot always be blooming.”

“Maccapani is for women who want to nourish all sides of their life, who don’t just want to be categorized as one thing. Whether that be a businesswoman, a mother, or a lover—Maccapani is for women who want to be all those things,” she added, kitted out in her own ‘Easy’ patterned pants, a shimmering navy cardigan and a pearl, lace, and floral necklace.

Shoppers perused the displays and stopped to admire a lavender stem table centerpiece, sifting through racks of fabrics until they secured a one-of-a-kind piece. Missoni and the Maccapani team served as sounding boards as attendees took turns trying on pieces in the back library-turned-fitting room. Once the rattan partitions were pulled back, shoppers morphed into models and paused to capture a perfect mirror selfie.

The pop-up is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. until November 9.

Jennifer Lawrence Ditches Baggy Jeans for Dakota Johnson’s Go-To Skinny Style

When Jennifer Lawrence dabbles in denim, the fit is typically loose and pooling over a pair of sneakers or flip-flops. That was not the case ahead of the New York premiere of Die My Love on November 1.

Before she swooped her bangs to the side and threw on a stunning Dior gown, Lawrence was photographed in Midtown wearing a pair of cigarette jeans that cut just below the ankle joint, showing off her pointed kitten heels. If you don’t think that’s off-brand for Lawrence, let me show you a few of Lawrence’s rare denim moments from the past two years, including her recent tip-toe into the boot-cut jeans trend.

Vogue has even more examples of Lawrence’s go to slouchy jeans and sneaker combo if you’re not convinced. While I was able to find one straight-leg style she wore back in April 2024, even that high-waisted option was paired with yellow Vans. It should also be noted that all of these jeans fall into the mid-wash category.

All this to say, I was not expecting to see Lawrence break out a pair of kitten heels or dark wash cigarette jeans on her way to the red carpet premiere of her new film Die My Love, especially considering she’d be changing right out of her gown and into another after-party dress and heels after that.

But that’s exactly what she did. It seems she was influenced by Hollywood friend Dakota Johnson, who is known to love a slim pair of straight-leg jeans, though the rest of the look certainly screamed Jennifer Lawrence.

The key to making the denim her own, however, came down to Lawrence’s signature eclectic layering choices. She paired her atypical jeans with a long floral embroidered cardigan and short belted calf-hair coat for a rich mix of textures. She finished everything off with a pair of chic black sunglasses.

The perfect mid-point between skinny jeans and more relaxed mom jeans, it’s no wonder the cigarette jeans are having a moment that even the boho girls can’t resist.

These Are the 11 Most-Wanted Accessories of Fall—and How to Style Them

by jummy84 October 24, 2025
written by jummy84

Our fall shopping list is rounded out by It-accessories that fashion enthusiasts (ourselves included!) can’t wait to get their hands on, like Miu Miu’s tall, slender sock boots, Prada’s suede bowling bag, and Chloé’s revived Paddington bag. If you’ve been keeping up with everything that’s currently trending on Vogue.com (which we’re sure you are), chances are your wardrobe already boasts a few of these coveted gems. And if you haven’t yet added these stylish finds to your current rotation, think of this as your ultimate guide to the season’s must-haves.

Vogue’s Must-Have Fall Accessories:

Maximalism for the minimalist persists into the colder months, with print and textural details still going strong for fall and winter. Accessories in touch-me-now fabrics, like soft suede and leopard-print calf hair, top our lists. Several bags come to mind: Khaite’s Crosby top-handle, which teams perfectly with The Row’s brogues. Or, hurry and get your hands on Prada’s brown suede bowling bag, which looks chic juxtaposed against Zara’s slip dress. We can’t stop obsessing over those surprisingly popular items, either, like Kallmeyer’s tassel belt, Toteme’s cape scarf, or an unsuspecting floral brooch.

Find our full edit of fall’s must-have accessories, below—along with easy-to-replicate outfit formulas, should you need inspiration on how to style them. Want even more fashion? Don’t forget to check out our fall ready-to-wear guide.

Miu Miu’s Tall Leather Sock Boots

The resurfacing boot trend on the mind of every fashionable woman? The sock boot. This style is sleek enough for the minimalist, while keeping that subtle, bohemian flair. Wear it for every occasion, be it a work day, or the weekend, with a slip skirt and festive knit.

Loewe

double-breasted cape-effect jacket

Loro Piana’s Leopard-Print Pillbox Hat

Thanks to Jil Sander, Dolce & Gabbana, and Alaïa, leopard print has shifted from a spicy siren to a seriously fashionable character. Now, spots of all kinds leave their mark, from smaller accessories like wool pillbox hats, to more statement pieces like knee-high boots.

Chloé’s Re-edition Paddington Bag

An early-aughts fashion relic returns to the scene, two decades on, and is more relevant than ever. The Paddington’s oversized padlock, and slouchy, just-thrown-on shape, are a reminder of how cyclical fashion is. Wear yours with other seasonal favorites, like a bow blouse, corduroy pants, and Mary Jane shoes.

Chloé

The Row’s Novus Derby Shoes

You may already have a plethora of driving loafers, retro sneakers, and ballerina flats in your arsenal by now. What to covet next? The brogue, of course! Although this Savile Row-inspired shoe is inherently masculine, we love the tension it brings to more feminine pieces, like a draped, belted knit dress from Zara, and Khaite’s leopard-print Crosby bag.

Kallmeyer’s Tassel Belt

The belt transcends utility this season to become a tool of self-expression by way of craft and texture—choose one with fringe, tassels, or beading, or all of the above, like Kallmeyer’s. We love it tied around the waist of a balloon pant and paired with a scarf top for the ultimate fashion girl ensemble.

Prada’s Suede Bowling Bag

Oh, suede! The luxuriously soft handle has experienced an epic resurgence—just take a look at the range, from high to low, of suede bags available on the market today. Invest in one of our favorites from Prada, and pair it with a silky midi dress layered beneath a modern trench coat.

A Designer Brooch

A brooch, especially the right one, is the kind of accessory that whispers rather than shouts—but its presence is undeniable. Pin one to a scarf, the waistband of your jeans, or go the runway route (à la Tory Burch, Ashlyn, and Rodarte FW25) and affix one to the lapel of a wool blazer or cape.

Prada’s Statement Pump

The modern pump isn’t just a three-inch stiletto any longer. Today’s takes are expressive, sculptural, and fashion-forward; they redefine elegance for everyday. See for yourself with Prada’s perfectly patinated leather pumps, which come in a rusted brown, or a worn-in black.

Khaite’s Western Boot

Western boots are one of the essential shoe trends for fall and winter. And you don’t have to go full Outer Range to style a pair. Wear Khaite’s Clive boot with an asymmetric skirt, scarf blouse, and oversized leather jackets for a contemporary spin.

Conner Ives x Jimmy Choo Leopard-Print Boots

Jimmy Choo and Conner Ives joined forces this season to provide the fashion set with an edgy, yet playful, arsenal of footwear options for fall. If we had to pick just one of the entire bunch, it would be the Gloria knee-high boots, in leopard-print, of course. It makes a statement, but is easy to wear and style—try it with everything from wide-leg jeans and turtlenecks, to off-the-shoulder dresses and a pony-hair coat.

Jimmy Choo

Toteme’s Fringed Cape Scarf

Like other built-in fashion trends we’re loving (think of the “skant,” “scoat,” and scarf top), the cape scarf is just another one of those hybrid pieces that makes getting dressed easier; picture bracing the wind, or a harsh chill, in this fringed poncho from Toteme. Chic!

How to Style a Maxiskirt Using Fall and Winter’s Biggest Trends

by jummy84 October 24, 2025
written by jummy84

Want to know how to style a maxiskirt without looking like you’re nostalgic for festival season or stuck in a boho-chic Pinterest board from yesteryear? Not a problem—because in 2025, the long skirt is being reinterpreted in a number of different ways beyond anything you’ve seen before.

Even better, this new wave of fashion trends is less about aesthetic themes and more about ease. We’re talking versatility, comfort, and outfit ideas for the real world that work from morning errands to late-night drinks. The maxiskirt is the multitasker your wardrobe has been waiting for.

But styling maxiskirts in a way that feels modern and not costume-y is an art. You need balance, proportion, and a few strategic pieces that do the heavy lifting. Whether you’re dressing for your body shape, leaning into soft minimalism, or channeling peak street-style energy, here’s how to style a maxiskirt in a way that works for you.

1. The Monochromatic Power Play

There’s nothing chicer, or more forgiving, than a full monochrome look. A matching top and maxiskirt in the same tone elongates the body and makes you look instantly put-together, even if you just rolled out of bed. Whether you’re working with a cashmere tank top and cardigan or a simple long-sleeve T-shirt or turtleneck, the key is texture and tone. Tuck your top if you want to define the waist, add ballet flats or booties, and throw on a sweater or a tailored coat for that clean-girl effect.

Try it with: A satin or silk maxiskirt with a matching top, sleek shoes, and a structured bag
Style tip: Head-to-toe black isn’t boring—it’s iconic. Opt for layered knits or silky sheens for depth.

2. The Denim Maxi, Reimagined

A long denim skirt is the unexpected hero of 2025. It’s less Y2K and more downtown polish, perfect for building a low-effort, high-impact outfit. Pair it with a long-sleeve graphic tee, a cropped cardigan, or even a leather jacket for a tougher edge. Whether you’re wearing sneakers or high boots, the denim maxi holds it all together.

Try it with: A white, khaki, or light-wash long denim skirt, a tucked-in or cropped top, comfortable shoes, and a leather jacket
Style tip: French tuck the tee or crop top to highlight the waist and balance the silhouette.

3. The Sporty-Girl Switch-Up

Maxiskirts can be comfy and cool when styled with a sporty twist. Think jersey or parachute fabric paired with a chunky zip-up or an oversized top. Add retro sneakers and a baseball cap, and suddenly you’re giving off-duty model energy. This is a casual look, but not a lazy one—and layering is key.

Gilmore Girls style diaries: Cosy outfits to steal for your fall season wardrobe

by jummy84 October 24, 2025
written by jummy84

Imagine a crisp autumn morning in Stars Hollow: the air smells like freshly brewed coffee, leaves crunch under your boots, and someone’s playing “la-la” music in the background. You’re wearing a chunky knit sweater, holding your third cup of coffee, and debating whether to binge-watch Gilmore Girls or head out for a bookstore run. If that scene feels like your ultimate fall fantasy, then you’re most welcome to the world of Gilmore Girls fashion. Long before “quiet luxury” or “cosycore” became social media trends, Lorelai and Rory Gilmore were already masters of effortless, lived-in style. They mastered soft layers, neutral palettes, vintage flair, and a little Y2K nostalgia mixed with small-town charm.

So grab your pumpkin spice latte, and follow tips on how to channel the ultimate Gilmore Girls fall aesthetic this season.

1. Lorelai Gilmore: The queen of coffee and casual cool

Gilmore Girls style diaries: Cosy outfits to steal for your fall season wardrobe(Pinterest)
Gilmore Girls style diaries: Cosy outfits to steal for your fall season wardrobe(Pinterest)

No one does laid-back chic quite like Lorelai Gilmore. Her style screams personality, a perfect blend of comfort, colour, and charisma. Her wardrobe includes graphic tees, leather jackets, wrap coats and turtlenecks, her look is never boring, never overdone.

She’s the kind of woman who can wear a band tee with a pencil skirt and make it look effortlessly stylish. Her outerwear game, especially those long coats, was peak early-2000s fashion goals.

Steal the look:

Go for fitted jeans, chunky knits, and long coats in jewel tones. Add a fun tee, heeled boots, and of course, a mug of coffee as your key accessory. Go for the cosy, confident, and a little chaotic vibe, like you just woke up late but still look amazing.

2. Rory Gilmore: Academia chic before it was a trend

Gilmore Girls style diaries: Cosy outfits to steal for your fall season wardrobe(Pinterest)
Gilmore Girls style diaries: Cosy outfits to steal for your fall season wardrobe(Pinterest)

Before Pinterest boards labeled it “dark academia”, Rory Gilmore was already living the look, complete with plaid skirts, cardigans, knee-high socks, and stacks of books.

Her outfits evolved from sweet schoolgirl charm at Chilton to polished Yale collegiate style such as blazers, cable-knit sweaters, and turtlenecks layered just right. She’s the blueprint for cosy, bookish fashion that never goes out of style.

Steal the look:

Layer a button-down under a sweater vest, pair with plaid skirts or straight jeans, and add loafers or ankle boots. Accessorise with a tote bag, minimal makeup, and soft curls or just pretend you’re running late to class but still look put-together.

3. Luke Danes: The unintentional lumberjack aesthetic

Gilmore Girls style diaries: Cosy outfits to steal for your fall season wardrobe(Pinterest)
Gilmore Girls style diaries: Cosy outfits to steal for your fall season wardrobe(Pinterest)

Okay, hear us out, Luke might not care about fashion, but that’s exactly why his look works. His flannel shirts, worn-in jeans, and baseball caps define cosy small-town fall vibes. It’s the kind of “I didn’t try” outfit that somehow always looks good, especially when you’re on your fifth cup of coffee.

Steal the look:

Plaid flannels, denim jackets, and rugged boots are your essentials. Add a neutral beanie or cap, and don’t forget that “too busy for trends” attitude. Bonus points for carrying a takeaway coffee cup because Luke would approve.

4. Emily Gilmore: Elegance, pearls, and perfectly pressed coats

Gilmore Girls style diaries: Cosy outfits to steal for your fall season wardrobe(Pinterest)

If Lorelai is chaos and coffee, Emily Gilmore is control and couture. Her fall wardrobe could teach a masterclass in quiet sophistication such as tailored blazers, pearls, and luxurious fabrics that whisper wealth and refinement. She’s all about old-money elegance with a no-nonsense edge.

Even her casual days (if you can call them that) featured cashmere sweaters, silk scarves, and coordinated accessories. Emily’s look is proof that sophistication never goes out of style, it just gets better with time.

Steal the look:

Opt for structured coats, monochrome outfits, and classic accessories such as pearls, silk scarves, or a statement brooch. Choose neutrals or jewel tones, keep your hair polished, and walk like you’re about to host a Friday night dinner you’ll secretly judge everyone at.

5. Paris Geller: Structured, smart, and sharp

Gilmore Girls style diaries: Cosy outfits to steal for your fall season wardrobe(Pinterest)
Gilmore Girls style diaries: Cosy outfits to steal for your fall season wardrobe(Pinterest)

Paris Geller might be intense, but her wardrobe deserves an A+. Her looks are all about precision these include tailored blazers, crisp shirts, and sophisticated silhouettes that scream “I have a plan.”

She embodies the kind of fall fashion that’s chic without being loud, perfect for when you want to look like you mean business.

Steal the look:

Opt for structured blazers, monochrome outfits, and ankle boots. Add a classic handbag and minimal jewelry. It’s giving I-run-the-debate-club energy, smart, sleek, and secretly stylish.

Wardrobe must-haves for the Stars Hollow Fall Starter Pack:

  • A knit sweater in a neutral tone (preferably oversized)
  • A flannel shirt that looks better every time you wear it
  • Ankle boots or loafers
  • A long trench coat for dramatic coffee runs
  • A bookstore tote bag
  • And of course, a coffee cup that never leaves your hand

Two decades later, Gilmore Girls still feels like a warm hug and its fashion plays a big part in that. Each outfit told a story of comfort, confidence, and caffeine-fueled chaos. So this fall, instead of chasing the newest trend, take a cue from the Gilmores. Be it if you’re dressing like Lorelai’s cool chaos, Rory’s quiet academia, or Emily’s timeless polish, there’s a Gilmore inside every fall wardrobe.

Extended Stimulation: 12″ Pop Adventures on the Dancefloor 1983-1988

Various Artists

Cherry Red

24 October 2025

The 12″ single redefined music and the way we move to it, something that’s celebrated on the fantastic new four-CD collection from Cherry Red Records, Extended Stimulation: 12″ Pop Adventures on the Dancefloor 1983 – 1988. While 12″ vinyl is generally associated with disco, electronic, and hip-hop, this box set explores just how revolutionary it could be for traditional pop music, featuring tracks from the likes of New Order, Simply Red, the Human League, Duran Duran, Talk Talk, Pet Shop Boys, and many others.

However, these may not be the songs as most people remember them. That’s because everything here is either a remix (or extended mix) of some kind, originally released on 12″ vinyl. A little history lesson may be in order. Before the 12″ record, DJs would use 7″ singles, which of course were smaller and only held three or four minutes of music to them. The 12″ single allowed for more music at louder volumes, revolutionizing the night club.

That was also the catalyst for remixes, with 12″ singles often containing remixed versions of the original song, using breaks (short, looped samples, often of only percussion) to extend and play with the original recording. Incredibly, Tom Moulton was the man behind all of these innovations (the 12″, breaks, remixes), during a flurry of creativity in the mid-1970s, making him one of the most intuitively brilliant sound artists since Berliner and Edison.

Pop bands caught onto the 12″ trend, getting their songs extended or remixed in more danceable ways. Thus, Extended Stimulation is less like a standard Now That’s What I Call Music than it is four DJ sets, with each disc lasting well over an hour. That is evident from the very start of the collection, with the great Francois Kevorkian’s remix of Thompson Twins‘ “You Take Me Up”. Deconstructed stereophonic percussion teases out the melody, sounding more experimentally funky than pat pop. It’s nearly nine minutes of cool club bliss.

Simply Red’s “Money’s Too Tight” follows, remixed by Steve Thompson and Mike Barbiero into “The Cutback Mix”, and it’s even better. Anyone turned off by the admittedly sad prospect of an 1980s best-of should already be relieved by this point in Extended Stimulation. That is radically reworked (and overlooked) pop for audiophiles—and, boy, does it sound phenomenal.

Many of these tracks hadn’t been transferred before, as Jan Burnett of Cherry Red observes in the liner notes for the record. Burnett, who compiled and sequenced Extended Stimulation, writes that many of the songs were sourced directly from tape just for this compilation. Comparing their quality here to anything readily available on YouTube, at least for those remixes which are online, makes for whiplash, so astounding is the quality.

The quantity is remarkable as well, with roughly five hours of varied styles, from some of the best alternative songs of the 1980s to its cheesiest moments. It’s probably the only collection that has both Nitzer Ebb’s “Join in the Chant (Burn!)” and Culture Club‘s “I’ll Tumble 4 Ya”.

Extended Stimulation is a bit top-heavy, if that’s possible for a collection. The first two CDs are sublime, while the third feels a bit like bubblegum popping beneath roller skates at the rink; it’s nostalgia with beaucoup fromage, lacking the variety of the first two. Granted, the remixes are still good, especially the “U.S. Edit” of Laid Back’s “White Horse”, which sounds like the exact moment Kraftwerk gave birth to Hot Chip. Then there’s the dub version of Jermaine Stewart’s “We Don’t Have to Take Our Clothes Off”, which is spine-chillingly transcendent.

The fourth disc is similarly poppy but has some better original artists (ABC, Wet Wet Wet, the Human League, A-ha). It’s also the most sensual, slowing things down just a tad for a funkier, sexier party thanks to songs like the “French Extended Mix” of Vicious Pink’s “Ccccan’t You See” and the “That’s Entertainment” version of Act’s “Snobbery and Decay”.

Despite the lulls in the later half of the collection, Extended Stimulation is sure to be revelatory for anyone unfamiliar with these kinds of remixes. It’s a definite treat for any fan of 1980s music, especially from the United Kingdom, and a treasure trove for audiophiles. Just try to resist playing this as loud as possible.

Kendall Jenner and Mary-Kate Olsen Stick to Their Own Style Codes for Sushi

by jummy84 October 22, 2025
written by jummy84

Jenner usually frequents the West Hollywood strip mall sushi joint with the likes of sister Kylie and Hailey Bieber, with the walkway to the restaurant becoming somewhat of a catwalk. Often, she defers to the Kendall Jenner compendium of model off-duty outfits; simple white tees, blue jeans or tailored pants, a trusty bag from—you guessed it—The Row.

Let’s not forget that The Row—which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year—was started by the Olsen sisters in pursuit of the perfect white t-shirt. An endeavor that finds a comrade in Jenner.

Mary-Kate and sister Ashley Olsen presented their spring 2026 collection for The Row earlier this month. The always very private and secretive show was shown on sculptural clothing racks, including cashmere sweater vests and silky shantung pajama ensembles. Plenty for Jenner—who was in attendance at PFW—and stylist Dani Michelle to pull.

Jenner’s love for the Olsens’s brand is long-documented; a collection of bags from the Margaux to the Marlo, all the ballet flats, basics, and outerwear she can get her hands on. Whether walking the streets of Paris post-show, a low-key dinner, or a red carpet engagement—you can bet Jenner is styling something from The Row. And just this past weekend, Jenner attended the Academy Museum Gala dressed in a body-hugging black dress from the brand.

Sabrina Carpenter Nailed the Art of Showgirl Style on SNL

As the show progressed, Carpenter’s promo photos—because every host gets a full-on SNL photo shoot—continued her high-fashion takeover. She sported pieces such as a vintage Dolce & Gabbana rose coat, a vintage Emanuel Ungaro black and white polka dot frock from spring 2003, and even a shimmering blue Dior lace dress from the recent spring 2026 collection. In a promo clip with SNL co-star Marcello Hernandez, the singer also donned a vintage canine-themed Vivienne Westwood dress from fall 1992—a tie-in to her album name, Man’s Best Friend, obviously.

Across several sketches, she also wore a pink check Love Shack Fancy twin set, a turtleneck mini-dress from Theory, and a sparkling Princess Polly halter mini-dress.

The epic leading lady wardrobe concluded with her two musical performances of the night. For her live rendition of “Nobody’s Son,” Carpenter sported a crystal-covered black and white karate robe, while her backup dancers performed choreographed fights. She was not barefoot, though: For a glamorous pop star touch, she accessorized with a staggering pair of Christian Louboutin platforms. To perform “Manchild,” Carpenter then rocked a “Live From New York” baby tee, while the back of her pink briefs read, “It’s Saturday Night!”—a cheeky homage to the famous SNL tagline. Her SNL looks had all the makings of greatness: Campy, fun, yet chic!

Disha Patani again demonstrated her fashion acumen at a recent Mumbai event, where she took everyone by surprise in a daring black sheer corset dress that has gone viral on the internet. Famous for her impeccable sense of style and poise, the Yodha star actress effortlessly turned heads as she made an exit, looking charming with her signature smile.

In the viral clip, Disha wore a dainty black lace corset with elaborate cut-out designs and a sheer, body-hugging figure. The ensemble best showed off her toned body, revealing her well-documented fitness regimen. She dressed her accessories down — settling for a gold chain-strap mini bag — and left her soft, wavy locks loose. Her makeup was understated, radiating with a natural finish that suited the sultry outfit.

In spite of the boldness of the outfit, Disha walked with poise and dignity, welcoming the paparazzi warmly with a soft smile before entering inside. The social media reacted immediately with fans raining fire emojis and congratulatory messages such as, “She’s the epitome of hotness,” and “Only Disha can do this so effortlessly!”

42 Best Suede Jackets for Women 2025, According to Style Editors

by jummy84 October 17, 2025
written by jummy84

The trench coat is perhaps the pinnacle of fall outerwear—and considering its overwhelming prevalence on the runway and in real life, the suede trench is your best bet right now. Burberry and Sergio Hudson showed the soft layers for fall, proving that the material can transform a seemingly simple silhouette into something a bit snazzier. Whether worn with a crewneck sweater and pleated shorts, a turtleneck and trousers, or a T-shirt and baggy jeans, these jackets will make everything in your closet feel all the more autumnal.

Another timeless style is the bomber jacket. We’ve seen this aviator-inspired jacket soar to new heights in recent seasons, thanks in part to its continued presence in collections from Prada, Loewe, and other high-profile labels. While most bomber jackets are fashioned from technical nylon or heavy-duty leather, supple suede has grown in popularity in recent seasons, giving the otherwise rigid shape a softer feel and striking the perfect balance between edge and elegance. It’s that duality that allows it to look good with everything—be it a tank top styled with cargo pants and flip-flops or a rugby shirt paired with a pencil skirt and pointed pumps.
