Vijay Deverakonda’s Health Update After Car Accident: A Story Of Survival! | Glamsham.com

Tollywood actor Vijay Deverakonda narrowly escaped death when he was involved in a car accident on Monday night in Telangana’s Jogulamba Gadwal district. The accident took place near Undavalli as the actor was returning to Hyderabad from Puttaparthi.

The accident occurred on National Highway 44, opposite the Varasiddhi Vinayaka Cotton Mill, as per reports. A truck loaded with sheep was said to have suddenly applied the brakes while transporting sheep from Nandikotkur to Pebbair. This led to a chain reaction. In the midst of the chaos, Vijay Deverakonda’s car collided with a Bolero pick-up heading in the opposite direction. The front half of the actor’s vehicle got partially damaged as a result of the collision.

Luckily, Vijay and the other people who were in the accident were fine, and there were no injuries reported. Prompt treatment and fast reaction prevented what could otherwise have turned into a deadly accident.

Once he had ensured that everything was fine at the location, Vijay is said to have taken a friend’s car and driven home to Hyderabad. The accident temporarily caused a jam on the highway, which was cleared by police in no time.

The news of the accident spread quickly, with fans breathing a sigh of relief that the actor was safe and unharmed. Social media was soon filled with wishes for his well-being and gratitude to providence for sparing the popular actor unhurt.

Yes’ ‘Owner of a Lonely Heart’ Featured in ‘Monster: The Ed Gein Story’

by jummy84 October 7, 2025
written by jummy84

Welcome to Progtober. This month, you can catch several prog acts on tour, from Yes playing Fragile in its entirety, to Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett, who is on the road celebrating 50 years of The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. Then there’s the Musical Box, a Seventies-era Genesis tribute band currently on tour (they’re so dedicated that lead singer Denis Gagné goes full Peter Gabriel, donning the Foxtrot costume and reverse mohawk). And just this morning, Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson announced a 50th-anniversary Rush tour, dedicated to the memory of their late bandmate, Neil Peart (German virtuoso Anika Nilles will be joining them on drums).

But if concerts aren’t your thing, you can enjoy Progtober from the comfort of your own home. And while you can throw on Close to the Edge or 2112, something a little darker, in the spirit of Halloween. That would be Monster: The Ed Gein Story, the new season of Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan’s anthology series, out now on Netflix. It focuses on Ed Gein — the murderer and grave robber who inspired iconic horror films like Psycho, The Silence of the Lambs, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre — and its eighth and final episode includes a fantastic prog moment.

It occurs in the finale, “The Godfather,” when Gein (played by Charlie Hunnam), is residing in the Mendota Mental Health Institute in Madison, Wisconsin, in 1984, battling lung cancer. (He was caught by authorities in 1957 and charged with first-degree murder. He was eventually found not guilty by reason of insanity and sentenced to spend the rest of his life in an asylum.) In the show, Gein had just helped the FBI agents catch Ted Bundy (a fun if entirely fictional detail) but he’s mostly spending his time reading books about death, watching other residents play ping pong, and sitting on the couch, sucked into MTV. Kiss appear on the screen, screaming, “I want my MTV!” Apparently Gein does, too. The nurse tells him, “Turn that garbage off. That MTV will rot your brain, Ed!” (I think we’re a little past that, lady, but sure).

Editor’s picks

Trevor Rabin’s opening riff floods through the room, and the band’s classic Storm Thorgerson-directed video starts to play. Gein’s eyes close, and suddenly he’s being ushered through the hospital in his wheelchair, while the staff dance along to the 1983 hit. Serial killers who were all, according to the show, inspired by Gein — Charles Manson, Ed Kemper, Jerry Brudos, and Richard Speck — are there as well, ushering him through. “I hope to burn in hell with you one day,” Kemper tells him. Gein eventually has a tearful reunion with his mother, and it’s clear he’s reached the afterlife. By the end, he’s dead of respiratory failure.

Murphy has always given us awesome needle drops (think Milli Vanilli in last season’s Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story), but this scene is particularly awesome. Here’s a murderer on his MTV deathbed, reaching the not-so pearly gates as Jon Anderson sings, “You always live your life/Never thinking of the future.” We all have to go sometime. Dying to a song Trevor Rabin wrote entirely on the toilet isn’t so bad.

When it was released this month in 1983 (again, Progtober), “Owner of a Lonely Heart” became the band’s only Number One hit. It completely resuscitated Yes, who were then known as a painfully dated Seventies prog band. “It was the most extraordinary event in my life,” Anderson told us in 2016. “You’re playing to thousands and thousands of people all over the world who know who you are. You never forget those times. It was very much like that at the Close to the Edge time and Fragile time. You never forget that incredible sense of camaraderie, harmony and friendship.”

Trending Stories

Explaining the lineup history of Yes would take hours, far longer than playing every classic prog album back-to-back. But suffice to say that Anderson tours on his own now, separate from Yes (guitarist Steve Howe, singer Jon Davison, bassist Billy Sherwood, drummer Jay Schellen, and keyboardist Geoff Downes). The last time Anderson and Howe performed together was in 2017, when they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame alongside Rabin, keyboardist Rick Wakeman, and the late drummer Alan White. You can probably guess what they played.

In an odd move, Howe handled the bass parts that night. It’s the last time he’s done the song in concert, and odds are very low he’ll ever do it again. For Howe, Progtober doesn’t mean “Owner of a Lonely Heart,” even though he’s one of the men behind Asia’s “Heat of the Moment.” Maybe Murphy is saving that for the next season of Monster, which focuses on Lizzie Borden. Imagine the scene: Lizzie butchering her family members while John Wetton belts out, “I never meant to be so bad to you….one thing I said that I would never do…” It’ll be prog-tastic.

As Karva Chauth, the festival of fasting from sunrise to moonrise for their husband’s long life and well-being approaches, Mumbai’s women have already begun celebrating themselves. The city’s women are hosting and attending pre- Karva Chauth parties, where celebrations include dancing to the beats of the Dhol and DJ, exciting stalls to choose from, including lipstick making workshops, bangle stalls and perfume making.

A Pre-karva chauth party

‘The party is attended by around 400 women’

Neha K Kanabar is hosting a pre- Karva Chauth party for her community of mothers in different cities, including Mumbai. This years theme is ‘The fake wedding: All divas, no dulhas.’ While these women are regularly in touch online, it’s the offline meetups that garner most excitement. Neha says, “Our pre-Karva Chauth parties are not bound by caste, creed, or religion—they’re open to all women, with the focus on celebrating womanhood, laughter, and festive bonding. Each year, we curate a fresh theme with décor, dress codes, mehendi, music, games, gifting, photo bhoots, makeup stations, pampering, and food. Every detail is designed to give moms a complete festive experience.”

Sharing more about the theme she adds, “This year, it’s a fun fake wedding theme—All Divas, No Dulhas—with a gold-and-glitter dress code and goggles for that quirky twist! The idea is for mom’s to let their hair down, bond with gal pals, celebrate themselves and burn the dance floor before they get ready for the Karva Chauth fasting and festivities.”

‘An experience where tradition meets togetherness’

Garima Datta, a teacher from Malad says that her party is more intimate. While she isn’t married yet, she wants to give her married friends an experience that makes them feel special and pampered. She says, “For me, hosting a pre-Karva Chauth gathering is about curating an experience where tradition meets togetherness. From intricate mehendi and vibrant bangle stalls to a carefully designed festive menu, every detail was chosen to celebrate the spirit of the occasion. While I am not married myself, I find immense joy in creating a space where my married friends can bond, share laughter, and carry forward the warmth of this tradition in a modern, memorable way.”

‘Delightful prelude to Karva Chauth’

Gipy Walia from Andheri, who is set to attend one such bash says she is excitedly looking forward to the party. “From getting mehendi done to picking out beautiful bangles, enjoying the festive food, and connecting with other married women, it promises to be a delightful prelude to Karva Chauth. It’s the perfect way to celebrate with friends and family before the big day.”

Box- How to host the perfect pre- Karwa Chauth party

* The pre-Karva Chauth celebration promises fun, creativity, and bonding. The event kicks off with an easy dance workshop, followed by interactive stalls like DIY mehendi and bangle customization.

*A host-led live session and games will help women connect and share experiences, while a photo corner and a memory board capture special moments.

*Guests can enjoy a curated menu of traditional and modern favourites, all set to a mix of festive music.

*An after-movie session, preferably a fun chick flick will preserve the joyous memories of this vibrant prelude to Karva Chauth.

The Controversy Surrounding Triptii Dimri’s Parveen Babi Biopic: Should Her Life Story Be Monetized? | Glamsham.com

by jummy84 October 3, 2025
written by jummy84

Triptii Dimri has had a meteoric rise in the Hindi film industry, especially after her unforgettable cameo in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal. Despite the polarising discourse around her character, her screen presence was undeniable and it catapulted her into the mainstream spotlight. Dubbed the “national crush” soon after, Dimri’s success didn’t just stop at online adoration; it translated into meaty film offers and leading-lady status.

The last year saw a turning point for the Laila Majnu alum. Triptii played full-fledged leading roles, seamlessly shifting from supporting roles to playing top commercial projects. She was the key female presence between Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk in Bad Newz, added hot sparks opposite Rajkummar Rao in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, and is next going to be seen sharing screen space with Kartik Aaryan in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. She recently hogged the limelight opposite Siddhant Chaturvedi in Dhadak 2, a spiritual follow-up of the Janhvi Kapoor-Ishaan Khatter success.

Though she does not have any other releases planned for this year, the hype about her isn’t dying down anytime soon. If Pinkvilla’s reports are to be believed, Triptii has now been approached to essay Parveen Babi in a new Netflix limited-series biopic. Shonali Bose (The Sky Is Pink) is set to direct the series, which will go on floors by March 2026.

Remembering PARVEEN BABI

— Film History Pics (@FilmHistoryPic) January 20, 2024

Parveen Babi is still one of Bollywood’s most mysterious and iconic stars. A superstar of the 1970s and ’80s, she epitomized her era’s Westernized, glamorous image a far cry from the bourgeois representation of women in Hindi cinema during that period. Her formidable screen presence, along with performances in such classics as Deewaar, Amar Akbar Anthony, Shaan, Namak Halaal, and Kaala Patthar, created a space that was all her own.

So, does Triptii possess the mettle to play someone as strong and charismatic as Parveen Babi? The answer perhaps lies in being able to balance the vulnerability with the strength something she has already shown in her recent performances. The task is certainly Herculean, but the career graph and acting skills of Triptii indicate she could possibly possess the depth and screen presence necessary to do justice to the icon. Everyone will now be looking at this ambitious venture as it starts to come together.

Ruby and James’ Love Story Continues

by jummy84 October 2, 2025
written by jummy84

School is back in session.

Prime Video released the season two trailer for Maxton Hall starring Harriet Herbig-Matten and Damian Hardung.

The series’ second season, based on the second part of the bestselling novel series Save You by author Mona Kasten, will debut on Nov. 7. The books and series follow star student Ruby and wealthy heir James Beaufort falling for each other despite their differences.

“After their passionate night together in Oxford and her greatest life goal within reach, everything seems to be going perfectly for Ruby (Herbig-Matten). But a stroke of fate in James’ (Hardung) family changes everything and James himself, of all people, brings her back from cloud nine to a harsh reality,” Prime Video teased of the upcoming season. “But she can’t forget James — especially since he’s doing everything, he can to win her back.”

“Some dreams are beautiful that you want to stop time. And sometimes one second is enough to turn them into a nightmare,” Herbig-Matten’s Ruby says in the trailer as it begins showing her and James in love before transitioning to a party in which James is seen kissing someone else as Ruby looks heartbroken

However, with James determined to win her back, Ruby and James have to confront their lingering chemistry and obstacles including coming from two different worlds, the loss of James’ mother and James’ father insisting he stay away from Ruby.

“If you have a definite goal in life and nothing in the world would stop you getting it, then you mustn’t give it up,” Herbig-Matten’s Ruby is overheard telling James.

In addition to Hardung and Herbig-Matten, Sonja Weißer, Ben Felipe, Fedja van Huêt, Runa Greiner, Justus Riesner, Andrea Guo, Frederic Balonier and Eli Riccardi also star in the series.

Martin Schreier returns to direct the second season of Maxton Hall – The World Between Us.

Markus Brunnemann and Ceylan Yildirim, who also acts as head writer of the series, produce. Juliana Lima Dehne and Marlene Melchior are also screenwriters for the second season. Valentin Debleris produces for UFA Fiction. The series is supported by the German Motion Picture Fund (GMPF).

Following its release last year, Maxton Hall became Amazon’s biggest-ever international launch and the most watched international show of all time in its first week.

Amid the show’s success, Kasten’s German-language book trilogy has been translated in English and published in America for the first time. Save Me released on July 1, with Save You on Sept. 2. Meanwhile, Save Us will publish on Nov. 4.

“Watching Damian and Harriet bring my book characters to life has been truly special. They perfectly captured Ruby’s determination and eagerness, as well as the many layers of James’ personality,” Kasten told The Hollywood Reporter.

“I wanted to write a story that had all the emotional highs and lows, unexpected twists and intense character dynamics I loved in the teen dramas I grew up with; the kind of stories where you’d count down the days until the next episode,” Kasten said. “I wanted readers to feel fully immersed in that world, to fall in love, gasp at secrets and root for characters. By the end, I wanted readers to feel like they had been through it all with them and come out stronger on the other side.”

Season two of Maxton Hall will be available on Prime Video on Nov. 7

Must See Trailer for ‘The Carpenter’s Son’ Jesus Story with Nicolas Cage

“Who are you? You know who I am…” Magnolia Pictures has unveiled the official trailer for an intriguing experimental genre creation called The Carpenter’s Son, described as sort of a horror take on the story of Jesus. Yes, for real. It’s from the same director behind the other visionary films 12 O’Clock Boys and Harka. The film is based on the apocryphal gospel, the Infancy Gospel of Thomas. A remote village in Roman-era Egypt explodes into spiritual warfare when a carpenter & his son Jesus are targeted by supernatural forces. A boy, known as “The Boy”, is driven to doubt by another mysterious child and rebels against his guardian, revealing inherent powers and a fate beyond his comprehension. As he exercises his own power, the Boy and his family become the target of horrors, natural & divine. The film stars Nicolas Cage as The Carpenter, FKA Twigs as The Mother, Noah Jupe as The Boy, with Souheila Yacoub and Isla Johnston. Set for release in theaters this November. Director Lotfy Nathan, drawing from his Coptic Christian background, delivers a meticulously crafted, genre-bending supernatural thriller packed with unshakeable images. Gotta say I’m certainly curious about this, looks like a unique take on the classic biblical tale. What do you think?

Here’s the full official trailer (+ poster) for Lotfy Nathan’s film The Carpenter’s Son, from YouTube:

The Carpenter's Son Poster

A remote village in Roman-era Egypt explodes into spiritual warfare when a carpenter, his wife and their child are targeted by supernatural forces. Joseph (Cage), Mary (FKA Twigs) and their teenage son Jesus (Jupe) have lived for years under threat, clinging to their faith and traditions. But a stopover in a small settlement unleashes growing chaos when a mysterious stranger (Isla Johnston) tries to entice Jesus to abandon his devout father’s rules. With every pull of temptation, the boy is lured into a forbidden world, as a terrified Joseph realizes that a demonic power is at work. Violent, unnatural events inexplicably follow Jesus, and he begins to experience nightmarish visions of the future. Finally, he learns the fearsome truth about his new playmate, as well as the child’s real name: Satan. The Carpenter’s Son is written and directed by British-American visionary filmmaker Lotfy Nathan, director of the films 12 O’Clock Boys and Harka previously, plus a few other shorts. Inspired by the classic “Infancy Gospel of Thomas“. Produced by Brahim Chioua, Eva Diederix, Alex Hughes, Yiannis Iakovidis, Eugene Kotlyarenko, Riccardo Maddalosso, Vincent Maraval, Solène Michel, Julie Viez, and Nicolas Cage. This hasn’t premiered at any film festivals or elsewhere, as far as we know. Magnolia Pictures will debut Lofty Nathan’s The Carpenter’s Son film in select US theaters starting November 14th, 2025 coming soon this fall. First impression? Who’s interested n it?

bitchy | Prince Harry claps back on the Sun’s curious insider story of his Clarence House visit

by jummy84 September 28, 2025
written by jummy84

On September 10, Prince Harry traveled from his event at Imperial College London’s Centre for Blast Injury Studies to Clarence House. King Charles’s courtiers tipped off the press, and dozens of photographers and royal rota were waiting outside of Clarence House to catch a glimpse of Harry’s SUV being waved in. Harry met with his father for less than an hour. It was the first time Charles and Harry had been in the same room since February 2024. Harry has said very little about the meeting, and when he spoke to the Guardian in Ukraine, he spoke in generalities about wanting to visit the UK more often, especially over the next year.

Harry has kept up his end of the deal struck with Charles, the deal being “Harry can’t talk about Charles or the meeting, but Charles and his rancid courtiers can freely brief about it.” Add to all of this, Prince William has been having a nervous breakdown over Harry’s UK visit and Clarence House meeting ever since, and William and his courtiers can’t shut about it. There are at least two royal courts (Charles and William) doing the most to impose their narratives about Harry, his UK trip, the meeting and what it all means. Don’t forget about Camilla, spreading her rottweiler narratives as well. On Friday, the Sun dropped their big exclusive about “what happened at the meeting,” with sources claiming to have insider information from Harry’s side. Harry’s spokesperson furiously issued a statement within hours of the Sun’s publication, so the Sun basically had to rewrite their piece to include Harry’s denials. Some highlights:

Harry the official visitor: The reunion of Prince Harry and King Charles saw them swap presents and kisses on the cheek — but there were no plans made for the future, The Sun can reveal. After the 53-minute summit at Clarence House, wild rumours circulated that the pair had discussed Harry resuming some royal duties on a “half-in, half-out” basis. However, we can now reveal, the pair’s sit down earlier this month was “distinctly formal” and there is still no prospect of Harry returning to the family fold. Harry was surprised by the formalities of his recent reunion with the King — and even joked he felt more like an “official visitor” than a family member, we can reveal. He handed his father a framed photograph of their children Archie and Lilibet to mark their reunion – but Harry and Meghan were not in the family photo.

Harry’s spokesperson: “Recent reporting of the Duke’s view of the tone of the meeting is categorically false. The quotes attributed to him are pure invention fed, one can only assume, by sources intent on sabotaging any reconciliation between father and son. Presumably, those same sources have also chosen to disclose that gifts were exchanged. While we would have preferred such details to remain private, for the sake of clarity we can confirm that a framed photograph was handed over, however the image did not contain the Duke and Duchess.”

Charles gave Harry a birthday gift: In a touching return gesture the King, 76, gave his youngest son a birthday present, as he was to turn 41 just six days later. But the duke was understood to have described the meeting with his father as “very official, like an official visit”. Insiders said the awkward exchange was carried out in similar style to that of dignitaries and visitors at royal residences.

Charles wants to have tea with Harry again: The King’s door remains open for another private cup of tea next time Harry is back in London. Harry was whisked into Clarence House in the back of a Land Rover to see his father while on an “faux royal” tour earlier this month. The Sun can reveal they greeted each other warmly with kisses on the cheek, before swapping gifts and having tea privately. Harry’s visit was sandwiched between two other audiences for the King. He arrived at 5.21pm and left at 6.14pm for an Invictus Games reception. Charles’s face-to-face with Harry was the King’s shortest audience of the day, after flying down earlier from Balmoral for engagements.

But what about PEG?!!? Claims the meeting was part of concerted efforts to undermine Prince William’s relationship with his father have also been denied. Harry’s spokesman said: “Categorically not. Harry is not trying to drive a wedge between the Prince of Wales and the King.” A source close to William has branded reports that he and the King are at odds as “rubbish”.

[From The Sun & The Royalist]

This is why I’ve always believed it’s stupid for Harry to even try to adhere to Charles’s dumb “rules.” The rules being “Harry can’t say anything about Charles” and “Harry has to coordinate schedules so that he doesn’t overshadow Charles’s big events.” Harry is giving away his two biggest advantages – his ability to correct the record, and the ability to get attention no matter what, especially at the expense of the left-behinds. Clearly, Harry has no problem correcting the record and I appreciate how responsive Team Sussex was on this story. As Tom Sykes noted in his coverage, “By suggesting that the same individual who leaked the gift also spun a line about a stiff, diplomatic tone to the meeting, Harry draws a line straight back to the top tier of his father’s household..” Exactly. As much as we’ve correctly assumed that Prince William and his courtiers are largely responsible for the panicked, paranoid and enraged briefings in recent weeks, the truth is that Charles and his people have been behind several of these stories. Including this one.

Selena Gomez, Benny Blanco Married: Relive Their Love Story

“She literally asked me out,” Benny recalled to YouTuber Kai Cenat in a November Twitch livestream. “We were just talking, and then she was like, ‘You want to get dinner?'”

However, he didn’t need to go round and round all evening wondering where she stood.

“We just went and got a drink first, and I didn’t even realize we were on a date,” Benny added. “She was like, ‘I would’ve worn something different to this date.’ I was like, ‘Wait, what? We’re on a date?’ I had no idea.”

And it wasn’t long before they realized they had something rare.

“We hung out two days later, and then I was like, ‘Yo, I think she likes me,'” he noted. “And then I literally just kissed her. And then the rest is history.”
