Letterboxd VOD Platform Video Store Reveals First Films

by jummy84 December 8, 2025
written by jummy84

After years of documenting the viewing habits of cinephiles everywhere, Letterboxd is entering the distribution world. On December 10, the site will launch Video Store, a new VOD platform that allows users to rent a curated selection of movies curated by the Letterboxd team.

With Video Store debuting on Wednesday, Letterboxd has answered some of our questions about the previously announced platform. Video Store will use a transactional video-on-demand (TVOD) model, in which users pay to watch individual movies without any subscription fee. The product will launch in 23 countries, and the app will be available on iOS, Android, web browsers, and a variety of smart TVs.

'Cronos' (1993)

The first nine films will be arranged into two “shelves”: Unreleased Gems, consisting of recent festival favorites that previously did not have distribution; and Lost & Found, which is comprised of previously lost or newly restored classics.

Notable titles include Todd Haynes’ 1991 debut feature “Poison,” Kiyoshi Kurosawa’s “Before We Vanish,” and 2025 SXSW premiere “It Ends.”

“Weʼre incredibly proud of what we and our community have built,ˮ Letterboxd CEO and co-founder Matthew Buchanan said in a statement. “We take their lead, and believe that has been integral to Letterboxdʼs success. They tell us what’s really happening — a 1980s action film suddenly trending, a festival title from two years ago still being added to watchlists.”

He continued, “Video Store lets us act on that real demand, whether itʼs helping a distributor unlock value from a forgotten gem in its vault or giving a filmmaker direct access to the audience theyʼve been building on our platform. Itʼs our way of saying to the industry: letʼs harness this interest to get films to the people who want them most.ˮ

Keep reading for the full slate of titles launching on Video Store, with language provided by Letterboxd.

UNRELEASED GEMS

“It Ends” (2025) – Director Alexander Ullom’s directorial debut about recent grads trapped on an infinite, nightmarish backroad made waves when it premiered at SXSW 2025, going on to win Best First Feature at Fantasia International Film Festival and the Narrative Feature Grand Jury Award at the Atlanta Film Festival.

“Sore: A Wife from the Future” (2025) – Director Yandy Laurens’ inventive time-loop sci-fi romance about a woman who travels back in time to change her husband’s destiny received eight nominations at the 2025 Indonesian Film Festival, including Best Picture, and has been selected as Indonesia’s submission for the Best International Feature Film for the upcoming Academy Awards.

“Kennedy” (2023) – Anurag Kashyap’s neo-noir thriller following a presumed-dead insomniac ex-cop seeking redemption in Mumbai’s dark streets premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2023, going on to screen at over twenty international festivals.

“The Mysterious Gaze of the Flamingo” (2025) – Director Diego Céspedes’ feature debut about an eleven-year-old girl protecting her town’s queer community from superstitious panic won the Un Certain Regard Prize at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival and has been selected as Chile’s submission for the Best International Feature Film for the upcoming Academy Awards.

LOST & FOUND

“Tiger on the Beat” (1988) – This legendary 1988 action-comedy starring Chow Yun-Fat and directed by Lau Kar-Leung remains a beloved classic of Hong Kong cinema. For most of the world, this is the first opportunity to see the new 4K restoration—a digital exclusive to Letterboxd at launch.

“Kisapmata” (1981) – Considered one of the greatest Filipino films of all time, Mike de Leon’s masterpiece about a young woman living under her domineering father’s suffocating control won ten awards at the 1981 Metro Manila Film Festival including Best Film and screened at Cannes. This brand new 4K restoration premieres digitally, celebrating the late director’s uncompromising vision that faced censorship under the Marcos regime.

“It Must Be Heaven” (2019) – This comedy won both the Special Mention from the Main Competition Jury and FIPRESCI Prize at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival, but its theatrical release was delayed for over a year due to the pandemic, limiting its reach despite widespread praise. . Suleiman’s distinctive visual satire continues his acclaimed tradition of observational comedy that speaks to universal themes of displacement and belonging.

“Poison” (1991) – This groundbreaking film won the Grand Jury Prize at the 1991 Sundance Film Festival and became a lightning rod in the culture wars, with conservative politicians attempting to defund the NEA over its support. The first feature from future Oscar nominee Todd Haynes established him as a fearless voice in independent cinema.

“Before We Vanish” (2017) – Based on a cult Japanese stage play, master filmmaker Kiyoshi Kurosawa’s alien invasion story screened in Un Certain Regard at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival, showcasing the acclaimed director’s distinctive take on the genre.

“No Strategy Is the Strategy”: Kiko Kostadinov on Opening a London Store (That’s Also Much More)

by jummy84 November 5, 2025
written by jummy84

“It should be fine,” says Kiko Kostadinov brightly last Friday afternoon — just as the urgent grind of a power drill sounds through the floor of his office. Beneath the new East London studio space Kostadinov and his team moved into in April, his third store is being fitted out. This Friday, 7 November, it will open with a show: the first ever to blend the menswear designed by Kostadinov himself with the womenswear created by Laura and Deanna Fanning.

The space is at 21 Whiston Road, near Columbia Road and Broadway Market. The studio occupies the first floor; the store below (mid-construction as we speak), will be shaped around a reassembled artwork by ongoing collaborators Ryan Trecartin and Lizzie Fitch. “It’s really an artwork recontextualized into a store,” Kostadinov says. “It’s exciting to keep the narrative between the three stores, Tokyo, LA and now London, all part of Ryan’s universe.” The installation piece arrives in 10 crates, and has yet fully to be pieced together: Kostadinov is confident of meeting Friday’s deadline.

The London space will complete a loose trilogy of ad hoc Kostadinov flagships that have grown independently. Tokyo opened in March 2024, followed by Los Angeles last November. “Tokyo is sustainable and solid,” he says. “LA is a bit intense; there, it’s a different way of shopping.” Each store operates with local programming and generates content through its own Instagram account. In LA, for instance, the store partners with Rocky Xu’s Rocky’s Matcha to host monthly breakfasts. London will follow a similarly organic rhythm, opening Thursday to Saturday, and maybe sometimes on Sunday to coincide with the Columbia Road Flower Market.

Organisers for cupboards, kitchen, bathroom, work desks and more: Store smarter for better efficiency

by jummy84 September 29, 2025
written by jummy84

I often notice that clutter is not about having too many things but about not storing them in the right way. A well-chosen home organiser instantly changes how a space functions. An organiser for cupboard shelves prevents clothing from piling up, while a kitchen organiser ensures easy access to jars, spices, or cleaning supplies. Bathroom organisers keep toiletries in order and avoid the constant shuffle of bottles, and a simple table organiser can keep work desks productive.

Organisers for cupboards, kitchen, bathroom, and desks combine practicality with style, turning storage into a smarter way of living.(AI generated)

The idea is not just about storage, but about creating systems that work quietly in the background. When each item has a place, efficiency follows naturally, and daily routines feel lighter and smoother.

Kitchen organisers

In a busy kitchen, the smallest detail matters. A well-placed kitchen organiser can save time during cooking by keeping utensils, spices, and ingredients within easy reach. I’ve seen how cluttered countertops reduce efficiency, while a tiered rack or pull-out tray frees up space and creates a logical flow. By grouping items according to use, cooking becomes less stressful and far more enjoyable. The right organiser doesn’t just store things; it helps the kitchen function like a finely planned workspace.

Bathroom organisers

Bathrooms tend to collect more items than we realise, from skincare to hair products. Without order, mornings can feel rushed. A bathroom organiser, such as wall-mounted shelves or corner caddies, helps sort these essentials by category. This avoids the scramble for a misplaced bottle while also keeping surfaces clean. I’ve noticed that clients often overlook vertical space, which is perfect for extra storage. Using smart organisers, the bathroom transforms from a cluttered zone into a calm and functional retreat.

Organisers for cupboards

Cupboards often look neat from the outside, but inside can be a jumble of clothes, bags, and accessories. An organiser for cupboard shelves or hanging compartments turns this chaos into order. Stacking jeans, dividing seasonal clothes, or assigning a place for shoes creates a visual system that simplifies everyday dressing. I find that once clients use these organisers, they save minutes every morning. It’s less about storage and more about creating an effortless routine that supports a smoother start to the day.

Top picks you need to add to your cart!

Drawer organisers

Drawers easily become dumping grounds, holding everything from receipts to accessories. A drawer organiser uses partitions to create clarity, so each item has a visible place. I often suggest them for kitchens, dressing tables, and offices because they reduce the time spent rummaging through mixed items. For example, neatly separated cutlery or jewellery brings calm to daily tasks. The subtle shift from mess to order saves energy and maintains tidiness. It’s a small tool with a surprisingly big effect.

Top picks you need to add to your cart!

Study table organisers

On a study desk, clutter can quietly disrupt focus. A study table organiser with pen holders, trays, or small shelves makes materials accessible without overwhelming the surface. I’ve seen how children stay more engaged when books, stationery, and gadgets have dedicated spots. For home offices, these organisers balance practicality with productivity by preventing the desk from turning chaotic mid-day. They’re less about decoration and more about shaping an environment where thinking, reading, and working can flow without unnecessary interruptions.

Top picks you need to add to your cart!

Dining table organisers

Dining spaces benefit from subtle order that doesn’t feel intrusive. A dining table organiser for cutlery, napkins, and condiments keeps the table neat while allowing easy access during meals. I often recommend compact caddies or trays that blend with the décor, avoiding constant trips back to the kitchen. This small adjustment brings ease to family dinners and makes hosting guests more pleasant. It’s about creating a setting where conversation takes centre stage, with essentials neatly arranged within reach.

Oasis Live ’25 fan store to reopen in London this week ahead of Wembley return

by jummy84 September 22, 2025
written by jummy84

Oasis‘ official Live ’25 fan store is reopening in London this week, ahead of the band’s return to Wembley Stadium. Find all the details below.

The Britpop group will play two more concerts in the capital this Saturday and Sunday (September 27, 28). It’ll follow an initial five-night run at Wembley over the summer as part of their UK and Ireland comeback tour.

An official pop-up store was launched on Carnaby Street to mark Oasis’ first reunion gigs in London. Now, it has been confirmed that a new shop is opening under the Piccadilly Lights near Regent Street.

Fans will be able to visit the pop-up between 10am and 10pm BST this Friday to Saturday (September 26, 27), and from 10am to 4pm on Sunday (28). Walk-ins are welcome, but pre-booking a slot is advised – you can do so here.

Customers will be able to purchase a range of official Live ’25 clothing – including T-shirts, hoodies, jackets – as well as tour edition coloured vinyl formats of the Oasis back catalogue.

The store is also set to stock items from the Adidas Originals x Oasis collaborations and more.

Oasis wrapped up the North American leg of their Live ’25 tour with two massive shows in Mexico City earlier this month. Their pair of Wembley gigs this week will be followed by further dates in South America, Australia, South Korea and Japan.

The band have released some official live versions of songs from different cities on the trek. So far we’ve had ‘Slide Away’ from Cardiff, ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’ from Manchester, ‘Little By Little’ from London, ‘Bring It On Down’ from Edinburgh and ‘Wonderwall’ from Dublin.

In other news, Liam and Noel Gallagher have been gifted personalised football shirts from Polish club Lech Poznań – a nod to the viral moment at the start of ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’ in their Live ’25 set.

When sharing his thanks for the gesture, Noel said that fans doing ‘the Poznań’ had been “THE highlight” of Oasis‘ reunion shows, with gig-goers from “all over the world” getting involved.

The likes of Paul McCartney, Billie Eilish and Dave Grohl were spotted at Oasis’ recent gigs in Los Angeles, as was Melissa Lim – the woman who inspired the band’s 1995 track ‘Talk Tonight’.

Meanwhile, Noel Gallagher has paid tribute to the “great Mancunian” Ricky Hatton, revealing that he had been texting him just days before his death.

Tuckernuck’s success has been in its holistic approach to retail. After launching as a multi-brand, online-only platform in 2012, the brand first set up shop in its hometown of Washington, D.C. in 2016. With help from its own private label, introduced in 2019, and endorsements from …

RAPPER IN TROUBLE!” – Drake’s Store Vandalized By Woman Claiming He Stole Her Work! | Glamsham.com

by jummy84 August 28, 2025
written by jummy84

Chaos broke out at Drake’s October’s Very Own (OVO) Manhattan flagship store in the NoHo area on Tuesday afternoon when a woman carrying a hammer smashed the upscale boutique. Police reported the attack happened at about 4:30 p.m., leaving approximately $24,000 in damage.

The suspect, 31-year-old Queens resident Shauna Stoner, was allegedly seen bursting into the store wearing a denim jacket, leather pants, and toting a Telfar bag. Witnesses claimed she tore garments from racks, painted merchandise with paint, and yanked items from hangers before taking the destruction up a notch by shattering windows using a hammer. She allegedly brandished a knife at one point but did not try to steal anything.

Arrest on Great Jones Street
The woman left the store and proceeded north on the Bowery. Staff, exercising restraint, warned authorities. Police caught up with her in minutes on Great Jones Street, where she had shed her jacket and was down to her underwear, according to reports.
Photographers who were present observed her yelling that Drake had “stolen her designs” and that she planned on “cutting up his clothes.” She has since been arrested for criminal mischief and arson. Employees confirmed they had no previous relationship with her.
OVO: A Streetwear Powerhouse

Launched by Drake in 2011, OVO is a global streetwear label with stores in Canada, the U.S., and the U.K., for which it sells high-end merchandise like $150 hoodies and $60 T-shirts. A spokesperson for the rapper would not comment on the incident.

Drake in the Limelight for New Documentary
At the same time, Drake is making headlines for reasons other than his music: upcoming documentary Degrassi: Whatever It Takes, from director Lisa Rideout. It debuts at TIFF on September 13 and looks back at his early success playing Jimmy Brooks in Degrassi. In the trailer, Drake says: “I didn’t have a good time in high school… then I got the part. And man, what a crazy ride that began.”
