Dr. Steven Gundry Shares His Celeb-Approved Wellness Hacks for Staying Healthy All Holiday Season

by jummy84 November 14, 2025

Have a happy and healthy holiday! Dr. Steven Gundry, the expert behind transformations from stars like Kelly Clarkson and Usher, is sharing his top wellness tips with ET just in time for the 2026 holiday season.

Before you hit a holiday party, Gundry says a little prep can go a long way.

“Eat a handful of the right nuts beforehand to you’re not starving and tempted to eat things you wouldn’t normally have,” he advises.

Think: Hazelnuts, macadamia nuts, and walnuts. But proceed with caution when it comes to pistachio nuts before a long night out.

“Pistachios are a natural source of melatonin, so they might make you sleepy,” he notes.

Once you’re in party mode, hydration is key, especially if you’re enjoying celebratory cocktails.

“If you plan on drinking alcohol, have a big glass of water between each beverage, or aim to sip one drink throughout the event,” he says.

If alcoholic beverages aren’t on your menu, Gundry still has a festive fix.

Gundry MD

“Get a cocktail glass full of sparkling water, add a lime slice, and act like you are sipping on a gin and tonic. … Drinking sparkling water will also help fill you up,” The Gut-Brain Paradox author explains.

When it’s time for dinner, load up on greens before diving into other dishes.

“Fill your plate with a majority of veggie sides and make the carb-rich sides and meat the minor part of your plate.”

After you’ve eaten, don’t just settle into a seat. Instead, take a lap around the party.

Gundry MD

“Studies show that going for a quick walk after eating aids in digestion and supports maintaining a healthy weight,” Gundry shares.

Of course, if you stray from the plan, The International Heart and Lung Institute and The Centers for Restorative Medicine founder recommends giving your body a little extra love at the end of the night.

“Overindulging on either food or alcohol can happen if the conversation is flowing and you’re having a good time, but before you go to bed, take chlorophyll and H2 water to help flush out the toxins.”

Official Trailer for Steven Grayhm’s ‘Sheepdog’ About Army Veterans

“I just want to wake up in the morning & feel something.” Allen Media Group has unveiled an official trailer for a movie called Sheepdog, a story about US veterans and their mental health struggles. This isn’t the first film to deal with this topic, there’s actually quite a few of them recently (and I will also recommend My Dead Friend Zoe). A decorated combat veteran is court ordered into treatment when an ex-convict shows up on his doorstep and explains he must work to put himself back together again. Shot on location in Western Massachusetts, Sheepdog is the first film that truly explores the physical & psychological repercussions of trauma, with a focus on Post Traumatic Growth (PTG). It is an uplifting original story, inspired by countless first-hand testimonials about recovery, redemption, and the journey of healing; themes that now mirror our post-pandemic zeitgeist. This stars Steven Grayhm, Vondie Curtis Hall, Virginia Madsen, Dominic Fumusa, Lilli Cooper, and Matt Dallas. Alas this is not about a sheepdog, only about veterans & trauma.

Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Steven Grayhm’s film Sheepdog, direct from YouTube:

Sheepdog Poster

Decorated U.S. Army combat veteran Calvin Cole (Steven Grayhm), is court ordered into treatment and into the care of a VA trauma therapist in-training (Virginia Madsen), who works the night shift at a local diner to pay for college. Things become even more complicated when Calvin’s father-in-law and retired Vietnam Veteran (Vondie Curtis Hall), shows up on his doorstep, having just been released from prison. As Calvin’s plan to run away from his life becomes impossible, he learns with support from his community, tough love, and compassion that he must put himself back together again for his family – and for himself. Sheepdog is written and directed by Canadian-American filmmaker Steven Grayhm, director of the film The Secret of Sinchanee previously and a few other short films. Produced by Lynn K. D’Angona, Matt Dallas, Steven Grayhm, P. Colin Kane, Jose Martinez Jr. Allen Media Group will debut Grayhm’s Sheepdog film in select US theaters starting in December 2025 later this year. Steven Soderbergh, Ramy Youssef and Michaela Coel are among special guests lined up to attend Qatar’s inaugural Doha Film Festival later this month.

Soderbergh and Coel will touch down at the festival – running from November 20 to 28 – for a Special Screening of Neon-acquired The Christophers, which world premiered in Toronto.

Further Special Screening titles include Re-Creation by Jim Sheridan; Shoot the People by Andy-Mundy Castle; My Story by Yasser Ashour; Palestine 36 by Annemarie Jacir and the World Premiere of Qatari feature film Sa3oud Wainah by Mohammed Al-Ibrahim produced by Katara Studios.

Other profile international and regionally renowned guests due to attend include Turkish stars Engin Altan Duzyatan and Hazal Kaya; veteran Kuwaiti actor, Jassim Al Nabhan; Tunisian Egyptian cinema star Dorra Zarrouk as well as Palestinian actors Saleh Bakri and Hiam Abbas who appear in Palestine 36.

The festival will showcase 97 films from 62 countries across different sections, including the previously announced International Competition, offering more than $300,000 in prize money and featuring 13 world cinema titles including Once Upon a Time in Gaza, The President’s Cake and Cotton Queen.

Spearheaded by the Doha Film Institute, the new festival expands its long-running family-focused event of Ajyal, which ran for more than a decade during the same period, and will unfold in various locations across the Qatari capital of Doha including the Katara Cultural Village, Msheireb Downtown Doha, and the Museum of Islamic Art.

It will open on November 20 with a screening of Kaouther Ben Hania’s powerful The Voice of Hind Rajab, about the killing of a young Palestinian girl by Israeli troops in the Gaza Strip in early 2024, which was a recipient of the DFI’s grants program.

Beyond the film selection, the festival will also lay on a talks program featuring speakers such as former MSNBC broadcast journalist Mehdi Hassan; Egyptian journalist Palestinian rights advocate  Rahma Zein, Emmy-nominated journalist Ahmed Shihab-Eldin as well as artists Yasiin Bey, Dana Al Fardan and Khalid Albaih; industry experts Sylvia Zakhary and Ahmed Al Baker among others.

“At the heart of Doha Film Festival is connection, from spontaneous conversations to the emotions we share, and the ways cinema reminds us of our humanity,” said DFI CEO and festival director Fatma Hassan Alremaihi.

“For the past 15 years, DFI has taken great pride in the extraordinary accomplishments of the filmmakers whose journeys we have shared so far. This year’s Doha Film Festival reflects Qatar’s growing creative ambitions and our deep belief in the power of cinema to unite and inspire.”

Bruce Springsteen, Steven Van Zandt Perform at the Stone Pony: Watch

The musicians also performed “I Don’t Want to Go Home” at the benefit for Van Zandt’s non-profit TeachRock

On Sunday, Steven Van Zandt held his Party at the Pony, a benefit in support of his non-profit music education organization TeachRock. The star-studded event promised “special appearances from some of Stevie’s Disciples [of Soul] and E Street Band family,” and it delivered with an unannounced appearance from Bruce Springsteen.

Held at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, New Jersey, the night included performances by Jesse Malin, Darlene Love, Gary U.S. Bonds, Marc Ribler, Anthony Almonte of the Funky Mofo’s, Curtis King Jr., Ozzie Melendez, Eddie Manion, and Barry Danielian. It was also billed as a birthday celebration for Van Zandt and his wife Maureen’s birthdays.

In a clip from the night, Van Zandt and Springsteen performed “I Don’t Want to Go Home,” the Van Zandt-penned title track to Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes’ first album, which was produced by Van Zandt and features two Springsteen compositions.

The night also featured them performing Born to Run’s “Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out,” bolstered by a robust audience sing-along.

Fans reported that they also performed Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band live staple, “Raise Your Hand.”

Fittingly, in the same weekend Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere opened, in which Jeremy Allen White’s Springsteen plays unannounced shows at the Stone Pony (just like Springsteen actually did back in 1982), Springsteen played an unannounced show at the same venue in real life once again.

Bruce Springsteen Performs For Steven Van Zandt’s Fundraiser

The Boss is very much back.

Just days after walking the red carpet (and delivering a typical powerhouse performance) for Disney’s biopic Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere, Bruce Springsteen made another surprise appearance, this time for Steven Van Zandt’s Party at the Pony.

Per Rolling Stone, Springsteen joined his decades-long bandmate on stage Sunday, Oct. 26 at Asbury Park, New Jersey, for several performances, including “I Don’t Want to Go Home,” the opener and title track to Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes’ first album from 1976, which was produced and arranged by Van Zandt and includes contributions from Springsteen.

Guests were also treated to a rendition of “Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out” from Springsteen’s third album, 1975’s Born to Run, and, reportedly, a performance of Eddie Floyd’s “Raise Your Hand,” a staple of Springsteen shows since the 1970s.

The evening’s program was billed as featuring members of the “E Street Band Family” with appearances by Jesse Malin, Darlene Love & Gary US Bonds, and musical guests Marc Ribler, Anthony Almonte, Curtis King Jr., Ozzie Melendez, Eddie Manion, and Barry Danielian.

The concert benefited TeachRock, a not-for-profit founded by Van Zandt which aims to improve “students’ lives by bringing the sound, stories, and science of music to all classrooms.”

Springsteen has been front and center in recent days, thanks to the theatrical release of the biographical drama, Deliver Me from Nowhere, and the well-timed arrival of Nebraska 82’: Extended Edition.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Deliver Me had to settle for fourth place in its debut after coming in behind expectations with $9.1 million domestically and $7 million internationally from 28 markets for a global start of $16.1 million, though it has yet screen in a number of major markets. The film which had been on track for an open in the $10 million-$12 million range domestically and $20 million globally.

Springsteen doesn’t have any concerts on the slate. But he has hinted at another tour Down Under. Speaking with Rolling Stone earlier this year, the Rock Hall-inducted legend admitted he was long-overdue a long haul to Australia. “I’m doing my best as we speak to get down there, hopefully next year sometime. And I feel bad,” he remarked. “I apologize to my Australian fans for not getting down on this stretch, but I want them to know that we are planning to get down there as soon as feasible, probably in the next year sometime.”

Adam Driver Pitched Kylo Ren 'Star Wars' Movie With Steven Soderbergh

Adam Driver Pitched Kylo Ren ‘Star Wars’ Movie With Steven Soderbergh

by jummy84 October 21, 2025
written by jummy84

Adam Driver and Steven Soderbergh almost brought their own twist to a galaxy far, far away.

In a recent sit down with AP, Driver said that over the span of two years, he and Soderbergh developed a script called “The Hunt for Ben Solo.” The film would have taken place after the events of “The Rise of Skywalker,” and followed Driver’s Kylo Ren, aka Ben Solo, on a search for redemption.

Soderbergh roughed out the story with “Logan Lucky” screenwriter Rebecca Blunt. Scott Z. Burns later joined to pen the script.

“I always was interested in doing another ‘Star Wars,’” Driver said. “I had been talking about doing another one since 2021. Kathleen [Kennedy] had reached out. I always said: ‘With a great director and a great story, I’d be there in a second.’ I loved that character and loved playing him.”

Driver described the film as “handmade and character-driven,” comparing it to 1980’s “The Empire Strikes Back.” The “White Noise” star said that that film is the “standard” of what a “Star Wars” movie should be.”

Soderbergh and Driver pitched “The Hunt for Ben Solo” to Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni and Cary Beck at Lucasfilm, who “loved the idea.” However, when they took the script over to Disney, they were shut down.

“We presented the script to Lucasfilm. They loved the idea,” Driver recalled. “They totally understood our angle and why we were doing it. We took it to Bob Iger and Alan Bergman, and they said no. They didn’t see how Ben Solo was alive. And that was that.”

Lucasfilm declined to comment.

Soderbergh told AP of the experience, “I really enjoyed making the movie in my head. I’m just sorry the fans won’t get to see it.” Driver agreed, calling the project “one of the coolest (expletive) scripts I had ever been a part of.”

Driver debuted as Kylo Ren in 2015’s “The Force Awakens,” and reprised the role in 2017’s “The Last Jedi” and 2019’s “The Rise of Skywalker.”

Yungblud and Steven Tyler Lead Tribute to Ozzy Osbourne

by jummy84 September 8, 2025

The late Ozzy Osbourne was honored with a tribute performance at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night (September 7th), led by Yungblud and Steven Tyler.

After video message by Jack Osbourne and his family, as well as a video montage of Ozzy through the years, Yungblud kicked off the VMAs musical tribute by singing “Crazy Train,” with Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt leading the backing band.

Yungblud strained a bit singing “Crazy Train,” but did a stellar job on the next song, Black Sabbath’s “Changes,” which he also sang at the Back to the Beginning concert earlier this summer.

Tyler then walked onstage with his Aerosmith bandmate Joe Perry to sing “Mama, I’m Coming Home.” The singer, whose vocal injury forced Aerosmith to retire from touring last year, delivered the Ozzy ballad with a heartfelt rasp, and was joined by Yungblud for the second half of the song.

The tribute ended with video of Ozzy in concert, saying, “Thank you, goodnight. We love you all. God bless you!”

Steven Moffat teases new show Number 10 & why it's not about politics

Steven Moffat teases new show Number 10 & why it’s not about politics

by jummy84 August 28, 2025
written by jummy84

He explained: “I’ve always been intrigued about what on earth goes on in that ridiculous little toy-town street that runs Britain. So [Number 10] is not really about politics at all, though everyone’s going to think it is.

“It’s just about what it’s like being in there, with the two most powerful people in the country in the attic, the worst coffee shop you’ve ever seen in the basement, and basically a knock-through with mice and a nuclear deterrent. It’s just the most remarkable address I can think of.”

“There’s quite a lot of comedy – it’s a funny place,” he teased. “I wanted to write an ensemble comedy like I did many years ago [in] Press Gang, and you need a workplace for that. Well, that’s the ultimate workplace. If you get a hangover there, you can start a war.”

While he’s not quite ready to share who’s taking on the role of his Prime Minister, he pointed out that you’ll never know which party is in power in the series, adding: “I’m not really interested in any of that. I don’t think they are either!

“There’s very little politics in real politics – every five years there’s an outbreak of politics called the General Election. The rest of the time, they’re just trying to run a country!

“I’ve read a ton. I’ve met a lot of people, including quite well-known people – I can never give their names away – and I’ve heard lots of stories, but it’s really just about the ultimate Upstairs Downstairs, where upstairs runs the country and downstairs sells Twixes. And I’ve been there a few times.”

Press Gang

While Moffat wrote the pilot just a year ago, describing it as a fairly quick process, he added: “I’ve been thinking about it for years.

“I’ve been reading the books, not because I’m a big expert on politics, I really am not. I’m just more interested in what the hell it’s like when you become Prime Minister.

“One thing it does to all of them is ages them 15 years in about a year. So for all that we’re cynical about it, and derisory about it, all the cynics and the deriders don’t work as hard as the person they’re deriding.”

Number 10, which is set to air on Channel 4, was announced earlier this month, with the synopsis stating: “The government will be fictional, but the problems will be real. We’ll never know which party is in power, because once the whole world hits the fan it barely matters.

“This is a show about the building and everyone inside. Not just the prime minister upstairs, but the conspiracy theorist who runs the cafe three floors below, the man who repairs the lift that never works, the madly ambitious ‘advisors’ fighting for office space in cupboards. Oh, and of course, the cat.”

Number 10 will air on Channel 4.
