It’s not even Halloween yet but country legend already doling out Xmas gifts

Like Mariah Carey, Willie Nelson is getting into the holiday spirit before even Halloween as the country legend has shared his festive new ballad “Christmas Love Song.”

The tender track finds Nelson working alongside his longtime collaborator and producer Buddy Cannon on a track penned by Country Music Hall of Fame Bill Anderson with Bobby Tomberlin and Marv Green. Harmonica great Mickey Raphael also features on the song.

“It ain’t a lot but every word of it’s true/It don’t sparkle or shine/But it’s one of a kind,” Nelson sings on the track. “And I put my whole heart into this Christmas love song to you.”

Nelson has gifted fans with holiday music in Christmases past, most notably his 1979 Pretty Paper, his first Christmas LP and Number Nine on Rolling Stone’s 40 Essential Christmas Albums list. Nelson has also released 1994’s Christmas With Willie Nelson, 1997’s Hill Country Christmas, and 1995’s Pancho, Lefty, and Rudolph, a collaborative Xmas album with Merle Haggard.

Next month, Nelson will honor his late friend Haggard with the tribute album Workin’ Man: Willie Sings Merle, featuring 11 new recordings of Haggard classics like “Tonight The Bottle Let Me Down,” “Okie From Muskogee,” “Mama Tried,” and “Workin’ Man Blues.”

Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga sprung a surprise! When it was least expected, the filmmaker released an audio clip, which he described as the sound story of his upcoming film, starring Prabhas. On the occasion of the superstar’s birthday, Sandeep’s late-night surprise sparked a fan frenzy. “Happy Birthday Prabhas anna Presenting a ‘SOUND-STORY’ in five Indian languages straight from the heart, for every fan who’s felt his,” he posted with fire emoji.

Sound story of Spirit

Prabhas’ birthday has truly turned into a cinematic celebration as fans of the superstar were treated to multiple surprises. But the biggest surprise came from Sandeep Vanga and Bhushan Kumar when they released an audio clip which stole the show. The unconventional yet unique audio teaser builds anticipation and captures the gravity of the story giving enough hint of the action thriller. The audio that features the voices of the cast Prabhas and Prakash Raj instantly strikes a chord. It encapsulates with the gripping background score of composer Harshavardhan Rameshwar.

Prabhas plays an IPS officer

Prabhas plays the role of a former IPS officer and academy topper who comes to jail as a remand prisoner. His arrest stems from conduct-related issues and is pitted against an authoritative jail superintendent (Prakash Raj) who runs the show by his own set of rules. He says, “I hate civilian costumes in my compound. It has to be either Khakis or Kadis. And the biggest highpoint comes towards the end when Prabhas delivers a striking dialogue, “I have had just one bad habit since childhood.” The audio arrives in typical Sandeep Reddy Vanga style. It has everything – character reveal, intensity, emotion – with the filmmaker referring to Prabhas as, ‘India’s biggest superstar.’

Prabhas latest photos

Fans could experience the thrill in the audio teaser, and felt that it was a perfect way to encapsulate Prabhas’s birthday celebrations. Produced by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures, Spirit also features Triptii Dimri, Vivek Oberoi and Kanchana.

Festive spirit takes over Punjab, Haryana on Diwali

Chandigarh, People in droves celebrated Diwali with gaiety and enthusiasm across Punjab and Haryana on Monday, with devotees queuing up in front of temples and gurdwaras, and citizens thronging market places for last-minute shopping across the two states and their twin capital Chandigarh.

Festive spirit takes over Punjab, Haryana on Diwali

Candles, ‘diyas’ and electric lights dotted houses as people exchanged sweets and gifts to ring in the festival of lights.

People thronged the market places for last-minute shopping as a festive spirit pervaded the two states and their joint capital Chandigarh.

Security was tightened across the region, especially in and around the vital installations, markets and places of worship, officials said.

Governors and chief ministers of Punjab and Haryana extended their warm greetings to the people on the occasion.

Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator, Gulab Chand Kataria, greeted people on Diwali, while Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann also extended his warm wishes to the citizens.

Kataria said the festival of lights symbolises the victory of peace over conflict, good over evil, and light over darkness, and appealed to people to celebrate Diwali in an environment-friendly manner.

Haryana Governor Ashim Kumar Ghosh said, “I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Haryana and the nation as a whole. May this festival of lights illuminate everyone’s life with courage, vigour, sagacity and enduring good health!”

Ghosh also said that as the nation celebrates the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil, “let us work harder to drive India towards a future rooted in harmony, inclusiveness and compassion”.

The governor expressed hope that the festival would inspire citizens to strengthen the bonds of unity, fraternity and goodwill, and to contribute meaningfully to the progress and prosperity of the state and the nation.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said Diwali symbolises prosperity, harmony, and enlightenment, as he appealed to the citizens to celebrate Diwali in an eco-friendly manner, and fulfil their responsibility towards cleanliness.

Earlier in the day, Saini extended Diwali greetings to Governor Ghosh and his wife Mitra Ghosh, and exchanged sweets with them.

“It is a matter of great joy and pride that under the guidance of the Honourable Governor, the state is moving forward with new momentum and energy in its development,” Saini said in a post on X.

Haryana Police, meanwhile, took up the task of spreading happiness on Diwali, with many of its personnel visiting orphanages, old-age homes, slums, and the homeless.

Under a special initiative, police officers across the state selected areas in their respective jurisdictions, lit lamps with children and the elderly, and distributed sweets among them.

This Diwali is not just about lights, but also about human compassion and shared smiles, a statement issued by the police department said.

In Palwal, SP Varun Singla and his family celebrated Diwali with orphans and the destitute, lighting lamps, singing songs, and distributing sweets among the children.

“A true Diwali is when we can bring light into the lives of those in need. Sharing happiness with the underprivileged sections of society is the true meaning of this festival,” Singla said.

11 Bollywood Films That Capture The Spirit Of Diwali | Glamsham.com

by jummy84 October 19, 2025
written by jummy84

Every October or November, as cities glitter with lamps and laughter, Diwali arrives — not just as a festival but as a feeling. It’s the pulse of renewal, a reminder that darkness never lasts forever. Across homes and streets, and just as vividly across movie screens, the celebration becomes a canvas for everything that makes us human — love, loss, family, and the eternal tug between tradition and change.

At its heart, Diwali marks the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and hope over despair. Rooted in legends like Lord Rama’s return to Ayodhya and Goddess Lakshmi’s visit to earth, the festival carries layers of faith and symbolism. On a personal level, it’s about reflection and renewal — letting go of the old and making space for the new. Collectively, it’s about togetherness: a shared moment when families, communities, and even strangers reconnect through warmth and light.

Bollywood, ever attuned to emotion and spectacle, has long used Diwali as more than festive décor. The glow of diyas, the crackle of fireworks, the pulse of family reunions — all become storytelling devices. Sometimes, the festival mirrors joy; other times, it deepens conflict or marks a turning point. Here are some of the most memorable moments where Diwali didn’t just appear on screen — it meant something.

Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! (1994)
Diwali here is pure celebration — laughter, rituals, and a home overflowing with joy. It captures everything the festival stands for: family, love, and the comforting rhythm of tradition.

Chachi 420 (1997)
Diwali sets the stage for chaos and laughter as disguise and drama collide. Amid the firecrackers and confusion, the festival fuels both comedy and turning point.

Vaastav (1999)
In a world of crime and tragedy, a Diwali moment between father and son cuts through the darkness. The contrast is striking — the festival’s light becomes a brief, almost sacred pause in a life spiraling into night.

Mohabbatein (2000)
In a film about love challenging authority, Diwali becomes the perfect metaphor. The song “Pairon Mein Bandhan Hai” glows with defiance and affection, as young hearts light their own path against strict rules. Light, in this story, is both rebellion and renewal.

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001)
Few scenes capture the emotional weight of Diwali like the one where the family gathers in grandeur and grief. Lamps flicker, aarti plays, and unspoken forgiveness fills the air. The festival becomes the heartbeat of the film — reunion, love, and belonging all rolled into one radiant moment.

Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003)
For a film about love and impermanence, Diwali brings bittersweet balance. The festival of brightness unfolds amid a story shadowed by sadness, reminding viewers that joy and pain often coexist.

Swades (2004)
A village’s Diwali without electricity becomes one of the film’s most symbolic scenes. The festival transforms from spectacle to statement — about light as empowerment, progress, and unity.

Om Shanti Om (2007)
The shimmering lights and grand sets echo Diwali’s dazzle, framing the film’s themes of illusion and rebirth. It’s spectacle with soul — light as both glamour and metaphor.

We Are Family (2010)
Set against flickering diyas and emotional tension, a Diwali scene captures transition — a family redefining itself through loss and acceptance. The light, even in grief, remains steady.

Golmaal 3 (2010)
Loud, bright, and chaotic — the perfect match between the film’s tone and Diwali’s spirit. Fireworks explode both literally and emotionally as relationships crackle and settle into warmth.

Aisha (2010)
Urban, chic, and introspective, Diwali here reflects self-realization. Amid parties and décor, the light symbolizes clarity — a turning point for love and identity.

Diane Keaton The Spirit of a Hollywood Original

Diane Keaton The Spirit of a Hollywood Original

by jummy84 October 17, 2025
written by jummy84

Diane Keaton Hall, born January 5, 1946, in Los Angeles, California, left behind a legacy that shaped modern cinema and inspired generations of artists, dreamers, and free spirits. Her career spanned over five decades, a journey that blended brilliance, authenticity, and timeless charm.

A Style Icon and a True Original

Keaton first captured hearts in the 1970s through her unforgettable collaborations with Woody Allen. Her role in Annie Hall (1977), which earned her an Academy Award, didn’t just redefine romantic comedies; it redefined women’s fashion. The tailored vests, oversized blazers, and signature hats became cultural symbols of individuality and empowerment.

Yet Diane was far more than her style. From The Godfather to Something’s Gotta Give, she proved that a woman could be complex, witty, and powerful all at once. Her performances carried a rare honesty, balancing vulnerability and strength in every line, every glance, every pause.

Beyond acting, she explored directing, photography, and design. In her documentary Heaven (1987), she pondered life and mortality with the same curiosity that defined her art. Her books on architecture and photography revealed a deeply reflective soul who saw beauty in imperfection.

Life, Love, and Legacy

Despite decades in the spotlight, Diane remained fiercely private. She spoke candidly about her struggles with bulimia and her early skin cancer diagnosis, battles that shaped her views on wellness and authenticity. She never married but adopted two children, Dexter and Duke, who became the light of her later years.

Her compassion extended beyond her family. Known for her generosity, Keaton supported numerous charities and animal shelters. Following her passing, her family encouraged donations to food banks and homeless aid organizations instead of flowers, a gesture as genuine as she was.

Farewell to a Hollywood Treasure

On October 11, 2025, Diane Keaton passed away in Santa Monica at 79, due to bacterial pneumonia. Her family confirmed she was cremated in a private ceremony days later. Hollywood mourned deeply, not just the loss of a beloved actress, but of a creative soul who dared to be herself in every frame.

Tributes poured in from friends and collaborators: Woody Allen, Francis Ford Coppola, Nancy Meyers, and Bette Midler celebrated her humor, courage, and spirit. “She was one of one,” wrote Meyers, a sentiment that echoed across the industry.

Eternal Inspiration

Diane Keaton’s impact extends far beyond film. She showed the world that elegance is confidence, that humor can heal, and that staying true to yourself is the boldest act of all. Her laugh, her hats, her fearless grace — all remain imprinted in Hollywood’s heart.

Because some stars never fade, they simply change form, lighting the way for others to follow.

Deepika Padukone breaks silence on row over 8-hour shift demand post Spirit, Kalki 2 exit: Male superstars have been…

Actor Deepika Padukone broke her silence after a row emerged over her demand for an 8-hour shift following her exit from Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit and Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2. Speaking with CNBC-TV18, Deepika shared how “male superstars” have been doing an 8-hour shift for years, but it “never made headlines.”

Deepika Padukone reacts to row over her 8-hour shift demand

In the interview, Deepika reacted when she was told she was facing a lot of pushback for her decision. She said, “By virtue of being a woman, if that’s coming across as being pushy or whatever, then so be it. But it is no secret that a lot of superstars, male superstars, in the Indian film industry, have been working for eight hours for years, and it’s never made headlines.”

Deepika says male actors have been working for 8 hours for years

“I don’t want to take names now and make this into a whole thing, but it is very commonly, publicly known that a lot of male actors have been working for eight hours a day for years. A lot of them only work for eight hours Monday to Friday. They do not work on weekends,” she added.

Deepika said that even though the Indian film industry is “termed as an industry, we have never really worked like an industry”. She added that it’s “a very disorganised industry”, saying she thinks “it’s time we brought in some system into this culture.”

Deepika’s exit from Spirit, Kalki 2898 AD sequel

The actor found herself in a row after she exited Spirit, reportedly over wanting to work not more than eight hours a day during the shoot so that she could be with her daughter, Dua. However, her demands weren’t met, and she exited the film.

Recently, Vyjayanthi Movies announced that she is no longer a part of the Kalki 2898 AD sequel. In their statement, they said that they decided to part ways with Deepika after “careful consideration,” adding that a film like Kalki deserves a higher level of “commitment.”

About Deepika’s upcoming films

Deepika began her shooting for King just a few days after her exit from the Kalki 2898 AD sequel. Directed by Siddharth Anand, King stars Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan, and Abhishek Bachchan, among others. Deepika will star in Atlee’s upcoming film AA22xA6 alongside Allu Arjun.

Richard Jobson celebrates punk spirit in new Skids documentary by infamous Oasis artist

The Skids frontman Richard Jobson has paid tribute to his hometown roots in The Story of The Skids — a new documentary directed by punk artist Mark Sloper which premiered last week to packed audiences across Scotland.

The Skids frontman Richard Jobson has paid tribute to his hometown roots in The Story of The Skids — a new documentary directed by punk artist Mark Sloper which premiered last week to packed audiences across Scotland

The film, directed by the celebrated punk artist and filmmaker Mark – known professionally as Mark Illuminati – charts the rise of Dunfermline’s punk pioneers from their beginnings in Fife’s former royal capital to their enduring influence today.

Much of the documentary focuses on Richard’s reflections on growing up in the area, his creative inspirations, and his pride in the city’s musical heritage.

Richard narrates the film, sharing memories of penning punk anthems such as Into the Valley and The Saints are Coming at Dunfermline Library.

He told the Dunfermline Press: “There’s a lot of special things about the (then) town. It’s our job to highlight them and be very humble about it.

“That library is a special place, because it gave me time to think. It’s in one of the most spectacular areas that I think I’ve ever seen, it’s just breath-taking.

“My feeling is that they should pedestrianise the whole Maygate. They could turn it into this beautiful place where you can have markets and do different things, making it a creative hub in the heart of an important city.”

Much of the filming took place inside the Old Town Barber Club on Maygate, run by Richard’s brother Brian Jobson.

Early scenes revisit long-closed venues such as the Bellvue Hotel and the Kinema Ballroom – the latter once hosting David Bowie and The Clash – where Richard recalls headlining as a defining moment for The Skids.

One story in the film recounts their ill-fated second gig, planned during a Communist Party event in Pittencrieff Park to support Chilean refugees.

Richard said: “That was until Stuart Adamson opened by telling the crowd how ‘if this was a Communist country, you wouldn’t be allowed to see a band like this’, at which point the plug was pulled.”

He added: “I took a much more internationalist approach with the band, but the magnet was always coming back to Dunfermline, and I think the key to that was Stuart, because he lived in the centre.”

Skids Guitarist Stuart Adamson went on to form Big Country in 1981, achieving worldwide fame before his death in 2001.

Richard later launched The Armoury Show and moved into writing and television before reforming The Skids in 2017.

Reflecting on the band’s longevity, he told the Press: “I think through various things that we’ve been doing, we’ve kept The Skids relevant. When you play a song like Working for the Yankee Dollar, it probably means more today than it did when we wrote it way back then, because of the politics of today that are almost indescribably horrific.

“Suddenly these songs have another meaning, as does Into the Valley, even Masquerade and Charade. They all feel very contemporary because they were commentaries on the world as I saw it when I was 15, 16, 17. I always thought the world would get better, and it didn’t.”

Director Mark Sloper is famous in Britain’s punk art scene and recently gained attention as Oasis’ official artist for their 2025 comeback tour.

The band commissioned him to produce two neon artworks celebrating their first two albums, Definitely Maybe and (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, priced at £4,000 each in official Oasis pop-up stores.

Mark famously caused a stir in 2020 when he unveiled a portrait of the late Queen Elizabeth II with blue hair, a nose ring and a heart tattoo bearing the word ‘Philip’.

The artist said: “The message was she said it was really good but didn’t like the Philip tattoo and would prefer the lion and unicorn crest. I never got the print back so assume it may be hanging in her toilet. When I was told she had been shown the portrait, I was happy to make the change.”

Speaking about his latest collaboration with Oasis, Mark added: “Noel and Liam Gallagher clearly love the punk aesthetic, and I’m overjoyed to be part of the reunion tour as Oasis still have that punk spirit.”

Rap Artists Whose Music Honors Assata Shakur’s Revolutionary Spirit

by jummy84 October 2, 2025
written by jummy84

Hip-Hop, at its very foundation, has always been more than beats and rhymes — it has been a vessel for survival, resistance, and rebellion.

Born in the Bronx during the 1970s, the culture emerged as a way to channel poverty, oppression, and sociopolitical strife into creative expression and communal strength. That defiant spirit mirrored, and in many ways carried forward, the ethos of the revolutionary movements that preceded it.

The music and the figures behind it were spiritual successors to the Black Panther Party and Black Liberation Army of the late ’60s and ’70s, organizations that dared to empower young people of color to challenge authority, reclaim their dignity, and speak truth to power.

Among the most iconic figures to emerge from that revolutionary era was Assata Shakur. Born Joanne Chesimard in New York, she became active in activism during her college years, first joining the Black Panther Party before transitioning to the Black Liberation Army.

Outspoken and unyielding in her defense of Black lives, Shakur became a polarizing figure in the eyes of the American government.

In 1973, she and two other BLA members were involved in a violent shootout with New Jersey State Troopers on the New Jersey Turnpike. One officer was killed, another was wounded, and one of the BLA members was fatally shot.

Though Shakur maintained her innocence, she was convicted of first-degree murder in 1977 and sentenced to life plus 26 to 33 years. Two years later, she staged one of the most famous prison escapes in U.S. history, ultimately finding political asylum in Cuba in 1984.

While the FBI branded her a fugitive and threat to society, Hip-Hop embraced her as something far greater: a freedom fighter, a survivor, and a symbol of uncompromising defiance against systemic oppression.

Considered an “aunt” to the late Tupac Shakur, Assata was revered not only by her nephew but also by countless artists who found in her story a reflection of Hip-Hop’s own struggle — marginalized voices fighting to be heard in the face of power.

Her revolutionary spirit continues to echo through the music, referenced in verses and honored in interviews, a reminder that Hip-Hop is inseparable from the struggle that birthed it. To this day, Assata Shakur remains a beacon of love, resilience, and pride for Black people — a figure whose life, though fraught with controversy, has forever shaped the cultural consciousness of Hip-Hop.

Following her passing on Sept. 25, 2025, at the age of 78, she leaves behind not just a legacy of resistance, but a blueprint for artists who dare to stand defiantly against the forces that seek to silence them.

In celebration of her life and legacy, VIBE highlights more than 50 artists who kept Assata Shakur’s name alive in exile through their music. These lyrics and displays of homage will continue to resonate and introduce her to future generations of listeners and potential revolutionaries.

Deepika Padukone’s 8-Hour ‘Spirit’: Why She’s Not Just Playing By Kalki-lations Anymore

by jummy84 October 1, 2025
written by jummy84

Actor Deepika Padukone has been a major talking point in Bollywood recently, primarily for her high-profile exit from two massive film projects: Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit and the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD. These departures, reportedly linked to her requests for an 8-hour workday and demands for higher compensation, have sparked a massive conversation about work-life balance and changing expectations for female stars in the film industry. Now, the new mom seems to have addressed the controversy head-on, stating she has always been determined to ask questions, challenge norms, and redefine the expectations placed on women.

Deepika’s comments came in reaction to her featuring prominently in the recently released IMDb report, 25 Years of Indian Cinema (2000-2025). The comprehensive report analyzed the top five most popular Indian movies released each year over the past quarter century. Out of the 130 movies scrutinized, 10 feature Deepika Padukone, placing her in the highly coveted 4th spot among actors with The Most Popular Titles.

Reacting to her inclusion in the prestigious list, Deepika spoke about the pressure on women in the industry, stressing her determination to challenge the status quo. “When I began my journey, I was often told how a woman must or is expected to navigate her career in order to be successful,” Deepika said. “However, from the very beginning, I was never afraid to ask questions, ruffle feathers, walk a more difficult path and challenge the status quo in order to reshape the mould we have all been expected to fit into.”

The star continued, linking her success to her authenticity and resilience: “The faith my family, fans and collaborators have had in me, have also empowered me to make the choices and decisions that I have, hopefully forever altering the path those after me will tread. IMDb’s Report on 25 Years of Indian Cinema further validates and strengthens my belief that honesty, authenticity and resilience matter, and that by being true to your core beliefs with consistency, change is possible.” Her statements are a clear validation of her recent decisions, framing them as deliberate attempts to advocate for herself and potentially set new professional standards.

IMDb Ranking and Ongoing Project Turmoil

The IMDb report positioned Deepika Padukone above numerous contemporaries and senior actors, including Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Anushka Sharma, Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Ajay Devgn, Prabhas, and Alia Bhatt. Shah Rukh Khan took the top spot with 20 titles, followed by Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan with 11 titles each.

Deepika Padukone Statement and tge Context

The context for Deepika’s strong statement is the turmoil surrounding her film commitments. Earlier this month, Vyjayanthi Movies announced her exit from the Kalki 2898 AD sequel, stating: “A film like Kalki 2898 AD deserves that commitment and much more. We wish her the best with her future works.” Sources close to the production later told NDTV that the demands were extensive, including a 25% increase in her acting fee and a strict limit of a 7-hour daily shooting schedule. Other demands included 5-star stays for her 25-person crew.

Earlier this year, similar reports surfaced regarding her exit from Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit, which stars Prabhas. She reportedly demanded an 8-hour workday, a share in the film’s profits, and requested not to deliver her dialogues in Telugu, conditions that allegedly led to her stepping away.

The chatter intensified when Vanga posted a scathing, though indirect, note on X, seemingly criticizing Deepika for ‘ousting’ the script of his next film. He wrote, “When I narrate a story to an actor, I place 100% faith… But by doing this, you’ve ‘DISCLOSED’ the person that you are…. Putting down a Younger actor and ousting my story? Is this what your feminism stands for?”

Despite the recent controversy, Deepika’s career trajectory remains strong. She recently announced her collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan yet again in his upcoming film, King, which is also set to feature Suhana Khan. Her ability to secure top projects while simultaneously pushing for better working conditions underscores her unique position of power in the industry.

Hey Deepika Padukone, Keep Your ‘Spirit’ Up Because You Deserve Everything ‘A’ Level

Deepika Padukone Confirmed In AA22xA6 & We Have Something To Say…(Photo Credit –Instagram)

Deepika Padukone has given years of her hard work to Indian cinema. She’s one of the most bankable actresses today. Unfortunately, we’ve failed her during the most beautiful phase of her personal life—motherhood! While the actress may be dealing with postpartum and a thousand other changes, there has been unnecessary negativity spreading all over due to her confirmed exit from Spirit and Kalki 2. We truly believe she deserves better!

Why did Deepika Padukone walk out of Spirit?

Latest rumors suggest Deepika Padukone demanded 25 crores as an upfront fee for her role in Spirit. That’s not it; she also reportedly wanted a 10% profit share in Prabhas co-starrer. Things went upside down as she allegedly asked for a 6-hour working day since she is a new mom – which is a ‘hot’ topic of discussion, though I still fail to understand why! Her “demands” did not go well with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, which led to their rumored fallout.

Shortly after, Deepika was accused of leaking the script of Spirit. Sandeep Reddy Vanga allegedly took an indirect dig at the actress on X, questioning her feminism. He also accused her of pulling down a younger actress. For the unversed, Tripti Dimri is now finalised as the leading woman in Spirit.

Deepika Padukone dropped out of Kalki 2

Producers Vyjayanthi Movies released an official statement on Thursday, confirming Deepika’s exit from Kalki 2. In a cryptic note, they accused the Bollywood actress of unprofessionalism and cited “commitment” issues. Ever since rumors have been rife that she allegedly demanded a hike along with a 7-hour working day. In addition, she reportedly also asked for the accommodation, food, and travel expenses of her team of 25 members. Interestingly, both the movies she exited featured Prabhas in the leading role.

DEEPIKA PADUKONE DESERVES BETTER!

No, this isn’t an article about feminism. Let’s put it plain and simple, did we all not support Shah Rukh Khan after the Zero debacle? Aren’t we secretly hoping Sitaare Zameen Par turns the tables for superstar Aamir Khan?

Ironically, Deepika Padukone has proved her acting chops and script choices time and again. Recent blockbusters like Pathaan and Kalki 2898 AD are the proof of it. So, while an actress has given it all while she could, does she not deserve basic human support when in need?

Actors like Salman Khan refuse retakes. Akshay Kumar also has limited working hours and the entire crew shoots per his convenience, which is often talked about during every promotion. Shah Rukh Khan prefers the late night hours. Why is it such a big issue if an actress wants to do quality work and wrap up in 6 hours each day, that too because she has a baby to take care of?

DP is currently facing unnecessary drama and I truly believe she deserves the ‘A’ level of treatment. And by that, I mean – the AA22xA6 level of treatment!

Deepika Padukone confirmed for AA22xA6

A while ago, producers Sun Pictures confirmed Deepika Padukone as the leading lady opposite Allu Arjun in AA22xA6. If she was that difficult of an actor to work with, we believe Atlee would not have agreed to finalize her since they already worked together in Jawan? It’s just sad that negativity sells today!

The announcement video features Deepika Padukone in a script-reading session with Atlee. By the end of the video, she also shoots for a fierce look on a fake horse in a studio. That’s a hint enough that her role would be a meaty one. That’s what we expect today – worthy characters, good content over women objectification, and eye-candy scenarios.

Deepika deserves better, and we’re glad Atlee found the gem! Now, we certainly cannot wait to see her alongside Allu Arjun. How about you?
