Ice Spice Drops New Single ‘Big Guy’ for ‘The SpongeBob Movie’ Sequel

The rapper will also voice a character in the animated film, set for release on Dec. 17

Ice Spice shared a new single, “Big Guy,” written and recorded for upcoming animated sequel The SpongeBob Movie: Search For SquarePants. A video for the spit-fire track will follow later today.

“Off the wake up, I’m feeling my best/ Big things ’bout to happen today,” the rapper intones on the upbeat single. “I bend over, I do my lil’ stretch/ I woke up feeling a brand new way/ Ain’t a jellyfish, but I’m the catch.”

“Being part of the SpongeBob soundtrack is such a full circle moment for me,” Ice Spice said in a statement. “It’s crazy to see my music in a movie that’s been part of so many people’s childhoods, including mine.”

Along with creating an original track for the film, Ice Spice voices to one of the characters in the movie, marking her first-ever voice cameo.

“Big Guy” follows on the heels of Ice Spice’s recent singles, “Pretty Privilege” and “Baddie Baddie.” The latter song marked Ice Spice’s first solo release since she dropped Y2K!: I’m Just A Girl (Deluxe) last December. It was produced by the rapper’s longtime collaborator RiotUSA and samples M.I.A.’s 2012 hit “Bad Girls.” She later dropped an Evil Twins-directed music video for the track.

Trending Stories

Since releasing Y2K!: I’m Just A Girl (Deluxe), Ice Spice collaborated with several artists. Earlier this year, she teamed up with Latto on “Gyatt,” which marked the first collaboration between the two rappers and effectively squashed rumors of the pair’s feud. She also made her film debut in Spike Lee’s most recent film, Highest 2 Lowest, starring Denzel Washington and A$AP Rocky.

The SpongeBob Movie: Search For SquarePants hits theaters on Dec. 17. The film’s official synopsis notes, “Desperate to be a big guy, SpongeBob sets out to prove his bravery to Mr. Krabs by following The Flying Dutchman – a mysterious swashbuckling ghost pirate – on a seafaring comedy-adventure that takes him to the deepest depths of the deep sea, where no Sponge has gone before.”

Ice Spice Talks a Big Game on New Single ‘Pretty Privilege’

Ice Spice has dropped a new single, “Pretty Privilege.” The rapper shared the track alongside a music video, which sees her strutting and dancing around a mansion.

The track sees Ice Spice taking aim at her fellow artists. “Poser, she hear my song and copy everything I say,” she spits. “Like, what the fuck? These bitches dirt/ Just be yourself, this shit could work/ Pretty privilege, that’s a perk/ I can’t help it, I’m a flirt/ Fine shit, that’s a fact.” She adds, “Cancel me, they really tried it/ I’m so cocky, I can’t hide it.”

“Pretty Privilege” follows Ice Spice’s comeback single, “Baddie Baddie,” which arrived in September. The song marked Ice Spice’s first solo release since she dropped Y2K!: I’m Just A Girl (Deluxe) last December. It was produced by the rapper’s longtime collaborator RiotUSA and samples M.I.A.’s 2012 hit “Bad Girls.” She later dropped an Evil Twins-directed music video for the track.

I take a lot of breaks in between recording songs. So I don’t just, sit and go through it. I get up, do things, eat, or whatever, and then come back to it the next day.”

Colorete caramel y pumpkin spice makeup: tendencias de maquillaje de otoño

by jummy84 November 3, 2025
written by jummy84

Autumn makeup trends have been announced, brimming with all those seasonal staples we love so much. Blue eyeshadow and sheer, wet-look lips are a thing of the past, packed away in the summer suitcase. Now it’s time for warm drinks, earthy landscapes, harmonious shades of orange, and fresh autumn beauty trends with appropriate fall-inspired names.

Caramel blush and pumpkin spice makeup are emerging as the must-try looks this November, and we have all the details, thanks to Mario Dedivanovic, makeup artist and creator of the Makeup by Mario brand, as well as representatives from the makeup brand Too Faced Cosmetics.

The Best New Beauty Products Glamour Editors Tried in October

The keys to the ‘caramel blush’ look

We’ll let the all-powerful Mario Dedivanovic—makeup artist to Kim Kardashian, creator of the Makeup by Mario brand, and ace of contouring—explain the caramel blush trend:

  • What it is: This is the new must-have blush, which the brand describes as “the essential blush of autumn,” based on caramel, café au lait, and toasted honey tones. “This finish aligns with the “toasty makeup” trend, which favors a palette of browns, coppers, and earth tones to subtly enhance the face.”
  • The effect we are looking for: It is about achieving cheeks that are “slightly flushed, as if the skin were melting into the golden light of the season.”
  • Virtues: “It softens features, adds warmth, and recreates that natural luminosity that transforms any look with a sophisticated and modern touch,” says the makeup artist.

Ice Spice Clears The Air On BBL Rumors After Trolls Press Her During Livestream

Ice Spice Sets The Record Straight On BBL Rumors During Stream

by jummy84 November 1, 2025

Ice Spice is setting the record straight on BBL rumors. When trolls started pressing her about getting cosmetic surgery, the raptress didn’t bite her tongue. She clocked the chatter and cleared things up once and for all.

Ice Spice Clears The Air On BBL Rumors During Livestream

LiveBitez snagged a few clips from Ice Spice’s Twitch stream where she gave fans a peek into a day in her life. While chopping it up with viewers, she kept it all the way and didn’t dodge a single question. When someone asked, “Spice, do you have a BBL?” She basically said, “find somebody else to play with” and hit them with a quick, “No!” Then she doubled down, letting folks know curves run in her family, “No babe! This is genetic.”

Along with shutting down the surgery talk, Ice Spice also spilled on her go-to chill fit. The ‘Munch’ rapper told fans she loves rocking men’s boxers when she’s laid up, chilling with no makeup on. But when bae pulls up? She said the boxers got to go!

Spice Responds To Weight Loss Criticism

Folks have been clocking Ice Spice’s figure for a minute now. Prior to the BBL and cosmetic surgery allegations, they were on her heavy trying to credit Ozempic as the reason behind her weight loss after she appeared with a slimmer figure back in March. But in true Ice Spice fashion, she shut it all down real quick during an X spaces session in 2024. She said she wished people never even learned about Ozempic. The femcee told fans that Ozempic had nothing to do with her snatched bawdy. It was actually putting in work in the gym and sticking to a healthy diet that did the trick. “It’s called the gym, it’s called eating healthy, it’s called being on tour. Like, what the hell?” Ice stated.

Ice Shuts Down The TL After Unveiling Fresh NEW Look

The internet stays wanting the tea on Ice, but she’s too busy serving looks to fill them in. Before folks started asking about cosmetic surgeries, she left the TL shook after she debuted a fresh new hairstyle at the top of this month. The ‘Hannah Montana’ spitter rocked a short, pretty pink blunt cut bob, that was parted on the side and featured a bit of an asymmetrical edge. Fans know ice first popped out on the scene with curly hair, but she was definitely feeling the pink vibes, captioning her video, “Ate this bob down.

Ice Spice Shares ‘Baddie Baddie’ Music Video Featuring Anok Yai

Ice Spice is putting herself first and sitting in the front row at fashion shows in the video for her latest single “Baddie Baddie.” Built around a sample of M.I.A.’s “Bad Girls,” the song name drops designers and calls back to the Bronx rapper’s pop breakthrough. “I was just poppin’ my shit,” she raps. “I ain’t even really mean to go pop.”

Directed by New York duo Evil Twins, the “Baddie Baddie” video follows Ice Spice as she attends various events and dinners. She also struts around with model Anok Yai and poses in a Tiffany Blue hallway.

“I need me a bag, like, you know that we love a Chanelly/I’m feeling like Destiny’s Child, I need my bae to go get me a Kelly,” Ice Spice spits on the second verse. “And I back up a yacht/I’m still getting paid off of ‘Deli.’”

“Deli” appeared on the rapper’s 2023 EP Like..?, which preceded her debut album Y2K. Released in July 2024, the record featured “Gimmie a Light” and “Think U the Shit (Fart).” “It just feels like time is fleeting, so I have to take advantage of the time I do have now while I’m still young, healthy, and everything like that,” Ice Spice told Rolling Stone last year. “It’s funny, because once ‘Munch’ dropped, I started to feel like a clock started ticking up until I drop another smash record or a hit. I feel like every time you do that, the clock resets.”

“Baddie Baddie” is Ice Spice’s first solo release since she dropped Y2K!: I’m Just A Girl (Deluxe) last December. Earlier this month, she teamed up with Latto on “Gyatt,” which marked the first collaboration between the two rappers. She also made her film debut in Spike Lee’s Highest 2 Lowest starring Denzel Washington and A$AP Rocky.

Earlier this year, Ice Spice told Rolling Stone her creative process has stayed the same throughout her career. “Everything kind of changes a little bit slowly throughout the years, but, it’s pretty consistent,” she said. “I usually get into the studio and pull up some beats that I already know that I kind of vibe with, and I like to just start coming up with the top line. And once I come up with the first line, I usually just move on into the hook and I build slowly from there.”

Spice Girls questions were ‘triggering’

by jummy84 October 5, 2025

5 October 2025

Victoria Beckham found being asked about her time in the Spice Girls “quite triggering”.

Victoria Beckham discusses her time in the Spice Girls in her docuseries

The 51-year-old star is the subject of a new Netflix documentary series, which is simply titled Victoria Beckham, and she found being interviewed about her girl band past “almost like therapy” because she has struggled with her time in the group overshadowing her fashion career.

She told the Sunday Times Style magazine: “I’ve been defined by a four-year period in my life. That was the Spice Girls.

“It’s taken me almost two decades to fight that and I feel that only now can I look back and talk about it. I’m not going to lie, being asked questions about when I was in the Spice Girls was quite triggering. And I’d say those were the most difficult moments. It was almost like therapy for me.”

However, Victoria insisted she is “so proud” of everything she achieved with the group and is still in contact with all her bandmates.

She said: “I love the Spice Girls. I really do. And it’s been great reflecting on that time. The other night I had dinner with Emma and Geri, and Mel B messaged me at the weekend. I still speak to all of the girls. I’m so proud of everything we did. I wouldn’t have been who I am now if it wasn’t for the Spice Girls, 100 per cent.”

Victoria – who has four children with husband David Beckham – was happy to speak openly in the series but admitted it was an emotional experience.

Asked if she said no to talking about anything, she said: “No. I mean, I touch on my family, I touch on the Spice Girls, the problems we’ve had with the business, you know, the money we’ve lost — there have been lots of triggers.

“I cried. Like I said, I haven’t seen the final edit, but yes, I did cry. It takes quite a lot to make me cry, but I did cry. You know, I’ve earned my place to show in Paris, I’ve earned the respect.”

The fashion designer agreed to her own documentary series after being pleasantly surprised by the response to her appearances in David’s own fly-on-the-wall programme.

She said: “If I’m being completely honest, I didn’t love me in that documentary…

“I was surprised by how positive the feedback was with what I brought to it. David’s documentary made me realise how good it feels to be wrong. I like being wrong. I was wrong, and bring it on. I love that.”

Spice Weighs In On Jamaica High School’s Viral Edge Ban

by jummy84 September 11, 2025

Spice has the internet popping OFF with reactions after she weighed in on a Jamaican school’s decision to ban edges. The dancehall singer put the school system on blast for worrying about the wrong thing, and now folks online are chiming in with their opinions.

Spice Calls Out Jamaican School For Hair Policy

St. Andrews, an all-girls high school, is going viral on social media after they dropped a post saying young girls can no longer rock edges. The message lit up on the internet instantly, and Spice shared her thoughts. The Jamaican-bred artist clearly wasn’t feeling the new rule, posting a video of a young girl on her Instagram Stories with her hair styled in a braided and twisted bun. Spice captioned the clip with her thoughts and called out Jamaica’s school system, saying baby hairs won’t block learning. “Jamaica school systems always focusing on the wrong thing KMT. How this hairstyle ago stop this little girl  from leaning?” she wrote.

Social Media Is Split Over St. Andrews Edge Ban

The Roomies were left split in TSR’s comment section after Spice shared her thoughts on St. Andrews’ edge ban. Some folks agreed with the school’s decision, while others thought the rule was a bit much. Peep some of the reactions below.

Instagram user @2knokz wrote, “it’s literally hair😭cmon now, how does that affect learning?”

Instagram user @shyannjadoretaylor wrote, “As a Jamaican, too much edges can be tacky in the uniform. There’s a time and place for everything. Dress modest and go learn.”

While Instagram user @tinamarikka wrote, “The Jamaican school system do too much sometimes 🙄”

Then Instagram user @niwakhe_umzi wrote, “If the girls are being distracted from their studies because they meet up in bathrooms or other places in school to do their edges then! This is not wrong at all.”

Another Instagram user @tdot619_ wrote, “Caribbean schools take education and appearance seriously. That’s all I’m gonna say.”

Instagram user @vivi.anelovee wrote, “Leave edges alone 😩”

While another Instagram user @kariferrarii1 wrote, “All I see is more policing black girls…”

Then another Instagram user @_ally101 wrote, “Different countries different rules!! You guys don’t know Jamaica school system and Spice should know better! 🙄”

Here’s What St. Andrews Said In Their New Hair Policy

St. Andrews isn’t playing when it comes to baby hair. The high school started going viral after they shared a poster on their official Instagram page telling the girls that edges are no longer permitted on campus. St. Andrews also asked the young ladies to keep their looks neat and even called the swoop edges curtains. See their now-viral message below.

“Remember, curtains belong in the house, not on foreheads! 😅 Let’s keep our looks neat and school-ready.”

Today is Friday, which means there are a ton of new releases to look forward to from some of your favorite Hip-Hop artists. To help you unwind and enjoy the weekend, check out VIBE’s picks of songs and albums you should hear and add to your soundtrack of weekend festivities.

  • PARTYNEXTDOOR, Drake, Cash Cobain – “Somebody Loves Me Pt. 2”

As if a great song couldn’t get better, Cash Cobain put his Slizzy essence into one of the sleeper hits of the year, Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s “Somebody Loves Me.”

Part two of the record is more sensual than the yearning first iteration, but the feelings are their just the same. Cash croons about a woman who lied to him and his emotional state, meanwhile Drake reflects on partying in Brooklyn and the various drugs women around him take.

PND jumps in at the end and takes the listener to church, recalling the original song’s earworm hook. This is a truly satisfying remix. – Armon Sadler

  • Latto & Ice Spice – “Gyatt”

Latto & Ice Spice “Gyatt” cover artLatto & Ice Spice “Gyatt” cover art

By God, we’ve got a surprising reconciliation in the rap space. Latto and Ice Spice set aside their differences and subliminals in honor of making a banger for the rap space that was desperately needed.

“Gyatt” is a tribute to the big booties and the people who like to shake them. Who better than two of Hip-Hop’s perennial twerkers to make this anthem? It is hands down one of Spice’s best songs in a long time, and Latto did what she does best.

New York, Atlanta, and the country at large can get jiggy with this. And that’s what good music is all about. – AS

  • Ice Cube – “Before Hip Hop”

With “Before Hip Hop,” Ice Cube delivers a booming, no-nonsense statement that not only sets the tone for his forthcoming album Man Up, but also reaffirms his status as one of rap’s most consistent veterans.

Over thunderous production, Cube scoffs at the notion that Hip-Hop is to blame for the struggles within the Black community, spitting lines like “My pronouns will throw rounds/ Heartbeats will slow down/ Where’s the showdown?/ Your hood is a ghost town.”

His pen remains razor-sharp, and his presence is just as commanding as it was decades ago. On “Before Hip Hop,” Cube shines while showing he’s still speaking truth to power—with grit, clarity, and purpose. – PB

  • Don Toliver – “Tiramisu”

Don Toliver “Tiramisu” cover artDon Toliver “Tiramisu” cover art
Image Credit: Cactus Jack / Donnway & Co / Atlantic Records, © 2025 Donnway & Co LLC, under exclusive license to Atlantic Recording Corporation

Don Toliver’s “Tiramisu” is smooth. The mid-tempo beat is characterized by its use of hi-hats, drums, and synths.

The highlight, per usual, is his smooth autotune-powered vocals and a pleasantly surprising falsetto. He also employs a nice flow in his verses, displaying a continual refinement in his delivery in a time where people are questioning how Don can hit that next level.

He has put out great music for years, but seems to have hit a ceiling. “Tiramisu” isn’t necessarily an “Attitude” type banger that will take over airwaves, but it is one of his better records in the last few years. – AS

  • Buddah Bless, Kodak Black – “Owe Me”

South Florida meets Atlanta on “Owe Me,” a slick new collab between Kodak Black and Buddah Bless that’s built for repeat spins.

Kodak floats over Buddah’s catchy, bass-heavy production with lines like “Still getting paper in the pen, just made an M off the jack”—a reminder of his hustle and self-made status.

The track follows Buddah’s star-studded debut single “See The World,” and further showcases his evolution from hit-making producer to full-fledged curator.

“Owe Me” is a strong, replay-worthy entry from both that’s ready-made for the summer winddown and builds anticipation for Buddah Bless’ forthcoming debut album. – PB

  • Trippie Redd – “World Boss”

Trippie Redd “World Boss” cover artTrippie Redd “World Boss” cover art
Image Credit: 2025 1400 Entertainment, Inc. / 10K Projects / Atlantic Recording Corp.

Trippie Redd’s “World Boss” opens with a nice flip of Ashanti’s “Rock Wit U (Awww Baby)” before transitioning into his type rage rap.

Admittedly, it is a bit of a jarring shift; initially, we expected him to go for some thing more melodic but the latter part of the song got chaotic. It certainly isn’t bad, but it is pretty standard for him.

Nonetheless, he sounds good and the production is great. The hook is pretty simple and his verses are fine. The outro is also especially nice. In terms of progression, the song is well-structured, even if it is a bit disjointed. – AS

  • Veeze – “L.O.A.T”

Veeze “L.O.A.T.” cover artVeeze “L.O.A.T.” cover art
Image Credit: 2025 Navy Wavy LLC, under exclusive license to Warner Records Inc.

Veeze is back with his signature rasp and off-kilter rap. “L.O.A.T.” is high energy despite his lower tone. The beat is great, one of the better production efforts he has rapped on.

He matches the movement of the production with his flow, switching cadences seamlessly. Like many rappers, he makes a reference to professional wrestling when describing to big women fighting with him – sensually, of course.

Hip-Hop fans love acronyms, so learning the song title stands for “lamest of all time” ought to be pretty funny for them. Overall, very good song and a sign of Veeze moving in the right direction if a new album is on the way. – AS

Statik Selektah’s Choose or Lose is a tightly curated dose of vintage boom-bap luxury, and the opening cut “Can A Player Live” draws listeners in for a smoothed-out sonic voyage.

With The Musalini and Wais P at the helm, the track delivers razor-sharp verses steeped in street reportage and fly talk, elevated by Selektah’s jazzy, soul-laced production.

Wais P’s slick declaration—“You’re with the Pimp King of New York/ Get off the porch, let’s pop corks/ Lubricate your thoughts”—is pure audio charisma.

Add in standout cuts like “How to Knocka,” “Cashmere Coats,” and the Pimpin’ Ken-assisted “Pimpin Saved,” and this project cements itself among the week’s most compelling releases. If style, confidence, and craftsmanship are your vices, Choose or Lose is a no-brainer. – PB

Reuben Vincent and 9th Wonder‘s Gotta Get It maxi-single is a refreshing rarity in today’s Hip-Hop landscape—a two-sided release that balances soul, substance, and style.

On the title track, Vincent raps with hunger and heart, dropping lines like “I gots to get paid/ Got family to feed, ain’t no time to be afraid,” painting the portrait of a young man driven by duty and ambition. Sampling Al B. Sure!’s “Nite N Day,” the track pairs nostalgic warmth with lyrical urgency.

The B-side, “Queen City,” built on Donell Jones’ “Where I Wanna Be,” showcases Vincent’s roots and gives further insight into his foundation and mindset. With 9th Wonder’s seasoned production steering the ship, this solid effort is sure to elevate Vincent’s profile even more. – PB
