Behind The Pole: Dancers Speak Out On Alleged Exploitation At Magic City

Dancers Speak Out On Alleged Exploitation

by jummy84 November 5, 2025
written by jummy84

Magic City is known for its dancers, wings, and celebrity clientele. But the girls who work there say it should also be known for something else: its alleged exploitation of dancers. Some say they were forced to pay promoters, share their tips with non-tipped staff, and cover “house fees” up to $300 a night. This, while allegedly making less than $5 per hour. Now, dancers are speaking anonymously, opening up about allegedly being pressured to give their money to a man named “Baller.” But that isn’t all. Magicy City is clapping back at the dancers’ claims. What’s really going on? And how are dancers legally supposed to be paid?

The Shade Room’s host Justin Carter digs into the allegations and delivers some answers on ‘TSR Investigates.’

More On The Alleged Exploitation Of Magic City Dancers

Courtney Hale, a former dancer at Magic City, informed Carter about a man named “Baller.” In a lawsuit she filed earlier this year, Hale alleges that Baller “took a portion of the tips” she earned “during 2 or 3 of the shifts she worked each week.” Additionally, Hale asserted that Magic City was “aware of/approved of Baller’s confiscating of the tips.”

“At all times during the Relevant Time Period, Magic City contends it compensated Hale at an hourly rate of $2.13 per hour plus tips,” her lawsuit reads. “…Plaintiff was required to pay and did pay other ‘kickbacks’ as well, such as a house fee of $100-$300 per night, DJ fees of $20-$100 per night, and security fees of $50-$100 per night.”

Per Hale, when she notified Magic City of the infractions, she allegedly was “mistreated” in return. Furthermore, Hale alleged that she was even charged $300 in house fees while other dancers allegedly paid $150 or less. This, all while Baller charged her and fellow dancers anywhere around $800 a night each.

What Does The Club Say In Response?

According to Hale, her situation escalated with her being sexually harassed by her female manager. While speaking with Carter, she noted that she was “uncomfortable” going to work, but the manager controlled her money and ability to work. So what happened when Hale reported it all? Well, she was reportedly let go from Magic City and labeled a whistleblower.

Scroll above to watch as Courtney Hale’s lawyer breaks down the alleged actions of Magic City and similar clubs. Additionally, Carter speaks with an anonymous dancer who shares her alleged experience with “Baller.” Furthermore, Carter goes over similar lawsuits and also speaks to the attorney representing Magic City.

bitchy | Charles Spencer on his 1997 eulogy for Diana: I realized I had ‘to speak for’ Diana

by jummy84 October 31, 2025
written by jummy84

Before today, I’ve never searched out the video of Charles Spencer (the Earl of Spencer) eulogizing his late sister at her 1997 funeral. The eulogy is seared into the collective consciousness of my generation and the older generations – a young earl from one of the oldest noble families in England, telling the Windsors to their ugly faces that they mistreated his sister, Lady Diana Spencer, the Princess of Wales. He made it clear that Diana’s blood was on their hands, and on the hands of the British media. Obviously, the Windsors have quietly ensured, over the course of decades, that few clean copies of that video remain online. Here’s one I could find, which is pretty poor quality.

My favorite part is still: “Diana was the very essence of compassion, of duty, of style, of beauty. All over the world she was a symbol of selfless humanity. All over the world, a standard bearer for the rights of the truly downtrodden, a very British girl who transcended nationality. Someone with a natural nobility who was classless and who proved in the last year that she needed no royal title to continue to generate her particular brand of magic.”

Over the years, Charles Spencer has spoken about eulogizing Diana and acting as caretaker to her memory. Especially in the American media, people will always ask him about Diana and that eulogy. But before now, I’ve never heard him speak about how it was decided that he should speak, and how he decided what he would say. He spoke about it on Gyles Brandreth’s podcast:

Charles Spencer is revealing new details about his original eulogy for Princess Diana. The 9th Earl Spencer, 61, said that the eulogy he’d initially planned for his late sister’s funeral was “very different” from what he eventually read.

“I flew back [to the U.K.] – I was living in South Africa – I flew back from Cape Town overnight. [I had a] very sweet stewardess help me, because I was in bits,” Spencer said on the Oct. 24 episode of Gyles Brandreth’s Rosebud podcast. He further explained that he initially searched for someone else who could give the eulogy. “I had a big, thick address book, and I thought, ‘I want to find someone who’s going to make the speech for her.’ And I got to ‘Z’ and I hadn’t found anyone,” Spencer recalled.

“[I] got off the plane in Heathrow [Airport], called my mother, I said, ‘I can’t think who’s going to give the eulogy. And I’ve got an awful feeling it’s going to have to be me,’ ” he continued. “And she said, ‘Well, it is going to be you. Your sisters and I have decided it.’ ”

When he started putting together the tribute, Spencer said, “[It was a] very traditional eulogy, almost … ‘She was very good at this as a child’ and all that. And then I thought, ‘Well, this is ridiculous, that’s not who she was.’ ” He said he then “realized” his job in that moment wasn’t to speak about Diana, but to “speak for” his late sister, who died at age 36 after a car crash in Paris in August 1997.

“And I knew I’d been left at that stage – it had no legal standing – but I knew she’d left me as guardian of her sons,” he continued, referring to his nephews, Prince William and Prince Harry. “Obviously, the other parent being alive, that meant nothing, but it meant something to me,” said Spencer. “That sort of duty, I think. And then I wrote it in an hour and a half and, yeah, that was it, really.”

[From People]

“I knew she’d left me as guardian of her sons. Obviously, the other parent being alive, that meant nothing, but it meant something to me.” Referring to the current king as “the other parent” is amazing and Diana would laugh her ass off at that. Something which really struck me as I read Prince Harry’s Spare is how much it meant to him that the Spencers really did stick by him and they were always there for him in a way the Windsors probably weren’t. I really wish Meghan had worn the Spencer tiara for the wedding. She and Harry probably felt like they couldn’t say no to QEII, but they should have.

Charles Spencer speaks about how he approached his sister Diana’s eulogy – knowing it was his duty to speak for her and protect her boys. It’s a shame nothing could save Willy; he turned out a sociopath. The Spencers have certainly been Harry’s rock.😍

Jen Affleck & Pro Jan Ravnik Speak Out on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Exit Amid Criticism (Exclusive)

by jummy84 October 29, 2025
written by jummy84

What To Know

  • Jan Ravnik, a first-time pro partnered with Jen Affleck, was eliminated from Dancing With the Stars amid criticism from former pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who questioned Ravnik’s ballroom credentials.
  • Despite the criticism, Ravnik received strong support from fellow Season 34 pros and celebrities, who praised his growth and contribution to the show.
  • Both Ravnik and Affleck expressed gratitude for their partnership and the supportive DWTS community, with Ravnik addressing the possibility of returning for another season.

Freshman dance pro Jan Ravnik, partnered with Jen Affleck (The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives), was making headlines even before he and Affleck got voted off Dancing With the Stars this week.

Last week, former DWTS pro and Mirrorball winner Maksim Chmerkovskiy appeared on the podcast by his wife, two-time mirror ball champion Peta Murgatroyd, The Penthouse with Peta, stating that Ravnik has “absolutely no business being a pro” on DWTS. Ravnik, whose dance background includes having danced on Taylor Swift‘s Eras tour in 2023 and 2024, was criticized by Chmerkovskiy for not having enough experience or training in ballroom technique, a cornerstone of the reality dance competition series.

Still, Affleck and Ravnik did make it through week 7. On their last night, the couple earned 32 points, dancing a Contemporary to “Look What You Made Me Do” by (ironically) Taylor Swift. The pair picked up an extra two points in the Hustle & Lindy Hop Marathon, taking them to 34 for the night. It was a respectable tally, but, combined with viewer votes, not enough to keep them on in the competition.

“First of all, I want to say that Jan is a great human being,” three-time Mirrorball champion Mark Ballas told TV Insider of Ravnik. “I love him. We’ve had so much fun together. This is hard [work here]. He is an elite dancer. I didn’t make it this far on my first season.” (Ballas, partnered with Cheetah Girl Sabrina Bryan, went to week 6 in Season 5, his first.)

While Chmerkovskiy’s comments may have been grounded in what he feels DWTS was and should still be, Ballas points that the show “has moved on. It’s evolved. Jan did an incredible job with Jen. Clearly, they made it this far. He’s done so well.”

“Jan had a great first season,” concurs Pasha Pashkov, who is paired with Boy Meets World actress Danielle Fishel. “In most instances when people join the show as pros, I’ve already known them for a long time [from the ballroom dance world]. Jan, I did not know. I met him for the first time at the first rehearsal at the top of the season. I really, really like him. We clicked.”

“We both have similar sense of humor,” Pashkov continues. “We always laugh. We connect. I’m definitely going to miss his energy in the ballroom, but I know he’s going to be killing it out there for the rest of the season in all the other pro dances [that are done on the show].”

“Here’s something I would like to say about Jan,” Fishel says. “There is no doubt that every single pro on this show has improved week after week, season after season. You don’t always come in on your first season hitting home runs week after week. Jan continued to get better. I have nothing but incredible things to say about him. I’m going to miss him and Jen.”

Ezra Sosa, whose first season as a dance pro was just last year, can relate to the challenges that come with being a first-time pro on the popular program.

“[Jan] made it further than I ever could [in my first year],” Sosa, paired with Olympian Jordan Chiles, supportively says. “Honestly, he did such a spectacular job. He really let Jen shine every single week. He should be proud of absolutely everything he did on the ballroom floor.”

Disney/Christopher Willard

“It makes me feel great to hear all this,” Ravnik told TV Insider when he was informed about comments pros and their partners were making about him.

“I couldn’t ask for a better partner,” chimes in Affleck. “Honestly, if I could do this again, I would ask for the same [partner]. We had so much against us, but we still pushed through.”

“They all accepted me into their family,” Ravnik says about the DWTS company welcoming him. “Each week I got support from them. It’s just love. This show is all about love…the people who are in the show – not from people outside the show.”

Is Ravnik up for coming back to DWTS for Season 35? “We’ll see,” he responds. “We’ll see.”

“This is the only time I’ll speak on this matter”

by jummy84 October 3, 2025
written by jummy84

D4vd‘s manager, Josh Marshall, has spoken out for the first time after a body was found in a car registered to the musician.

The deceased was identified last month as a teenage girl, who was said to be between the ages of 14 and 15. The body has since been identified as Celeste Rivas Hernandez, 15, with the exact cause of death currently listed as “deferred”.

“Deferred cases can take a few months before a cause of death is determined,” said the medical examiner’s office. According to a recent report by People, the LAPD’s robbery-homicide division is still investigating the case.

LAPD Captain and Commanding Officer Scot M. Williams said officers were yet to determine “if anyone has any criminal culpability for her death beyond the concealment of her dead body”.

However, he said police do “know for sure that Celeste Rivas Hernandez died and someone placed her body in the front trunk area of David Burke’s Tesla”.

The Tesla in question was registered in Hempstead, a city near Houston in Texas, to D4vd (real name David Anthony Burke).

As Far Out reports, a TikTok user under the name ‘Girl Town’ recently shared a video on the platform, accusing Marshall of being involved in the death of the teenage girl.

He has categorically denied any wrongdoing in the comments section, writing: “How dare you say something like this with no facts.”

Marshall added: “This video is false and the person is misinformed. This is the only time I’ll speak on this matter. FOR NOW. This has been a tough time for my family as I am a father of 3 children.”

The manager and music executive, who runs the label Mogul Vision, also denied the claim that he had been living in a mansion in the Hollywood Hills with D4vd and Hernandez. Additionally, he refuted an allegation that he had received an email from a “family friend” of Hernandez in 2024, containing her missing person’s report.

“I received no emails and I’m no one’s roommate, I live full-time at home with my wife and kids,” Marshall responded. “My daughter is 14 and this news is affecting so many lives. I never received any emails. I had zero knowledge of anything and I don’t live in California.”

He continued: “Also I work remotely 95 per cent of the time and my job doesn’t require me to have much interaction with any of my clients/David, as there are many others that work with him on a day-to-day capacity, not me.”

Marshall went on: “This news is tragic for so many and for her family. I hope the proper authorities get to the bottom of it soon.

“Let me remind people a lot of this is speculation and alleged. In the meantime, I am with my family helping them emotionally get through the news of this tragedy. Please report on factual information. – Josh Marshall.”

The body was discovered on September 8 after police responded to a report of a foul odour coming from an impounded vehicle at a tow yard in Hollywood, Los Angeles.

Sources in the neighbourhood where the Tesla was parked previously reported that the vehicle had been seen in various places over the past few months. It was reportedly left in its final spot on Bluebird Avenue in the Hollywood Hills for about three weeks. Before this, it was said to have been parked a few blocks away as far back as May.

After the body was found, it was revealed that Burke had been informed of the investigation and was “cooperating” with the authorities. He has since been linked to the home that the LAPD had searched in connection with the deceased’s disappearance.

D4vd recently cancelled his US tour and shelved plans to release a deluxe edition of his debut album ‘Withered’. His headline tour dates in Europe and the UK have since been cancelled too.

The musician was out on tour when the body was discovered, and initially continued with the dates as planned. During a gig in Minneapolis last month, he thanked fans for their support and threw Labubus into the audience.

Jameela Jamil calls for artists to speak out at Together For Palestine

by jummy84 September 18, 2025
written by jummy84

Jameela Jamil spoke to NME backstage at the Together For Palestine concert last night, urging all artists to speak out and “be on the side of love and humanity”. Watch our interview with Jamil above.

The actress, activist and presenter was one of many hosts who gave impassioned speeches on stage at London’s Wembley Arena last night (Wednesday September 17), a night organised and curated by Brian Eno that saw huge performances from Damon Albarn, Paul Weller, Rachel Chinouriri, Yasiin Bey, and more, alongside guest speakers including Eric Cantona, PinkPantheress, Richard Gere, Benedict Cumberbatch, Florence Pugh, and Nicola Coughlan.

The event, which was also available as a livestream, raised just under £1.5million for the ‘Together For Palestine Fund’, which will be distributed to Palestinian-led organisations such as Taawon, Palestine Children’s Relief Fund and Palestine Medical Relief Service.

The concert came just a day after a UN commission inquiry concluded that Israel had committed a genocide in Gaza. Israel continues to deny accusations of genocide or war crimes.

This was the largest ever concert fundraiser to take place in the UK, with Eno having spoken about how it wouldn’t have been possible in years gone by.

When asked about what it means that this should take place in 2025, Jamil replied: “It tells us that we’ve reached boiling point of how much suffering people can watch on a livestream. It shows that there is a shift in the narrative and a tide that has turned. People are realising that we cannot live with ourselves anymore if we continue to look away and stay silent.”

With the nature of freedom of expression under scrutiny in the UK, Jamil argued that culture and politics have “always been intertwined”.

“Artists have such a duty to show up to impact culture,” she explained. “We have so much access to people’s eyes and ears. It is a huge failure on our part if we just take and take and take and never do anything to move culture and move people towards the right direction, which is that of love.”

However, Jamil said that should understood why artists might be fearful of speaking up for Palestine.

“I don’t want to shame anyone who’s only showing up now, but we desperately need you,” she pleaded. “When you look back later, you will realise that you were on the side of love and humanity. I think people will hugely regret not having said something when they could have.”

As for what Together For Palestine represents, Jamil said that she believed it represented a sense of hope that change could come as a result of solidarity and being seen.

“I can’t tell anyone not to feel hopeless in this current climate, but I think that a morsel of hope can be found in the calibre of artists who’ve shown up and aren’t afraid to speak up, say something and do the right thing,” she said. “I personally felt very moved looking around the room and seeing all the artist that are here like Massive Attack, Portishead, Damon Albarn and all these British legends, and then Eric Cantona who I guess we’re claiming as a British legend now.”

Jamil added: “When you realise the people you’ve looked up to your whole life are actually great and they actually stand alongside the principles you hoped they would, it’s an incredible feeling. I hope music fans feel at least moved by that. I can’t force anyone to feel hopeful, but I know that what we’re doing here tonight is really beautiful.

“Everyone’s here for such a beautiful cause and that fills me with a tiny bit of light amidst this terrible darkness.”

Dynamic Duos’ Winners Speak Out About Dramatic Finale & What’s Next

by jummy84 September 18, 2025
written by jummy84

[Warning: The below contains spoilers from the MasterChef Season 15 finale ]

MasterChef has crowned its first-ever Dynamic Duos winners. Wednesday’s (September 17) finale all came down to married couple Rachel Sanchez and Julio Figueredo, long-time partners Jessica Bosworth and Jesse Rosenwald and the aunt-niece combination of Tina Duong and Aivan Tran. The top 3 twosomes were tasked by judges Gordon Ramsay, Joe Bastianich and Tiffany Derry to create the three-course meal of their lives. An appetizer, main course and dessert stood between one team and $250,000, trophy and title of MasterChef.

Bosworth and Rosenwald’s love letter to New England ultimately stood out above the rest. The couple of almost a decade came together to serve up a menu headlined by pork belly, braised short rib and dark chocolate ganache tart. The road to victory wasn’t easy for the Bostonians, right from fighting to even get an apron through the second chance auditions to receive their aprons. Here the champs open up about their time on the show and future.

Jessica Bosworth and Jesse Rosenwald (FOX)

What does it mean to you to win MasterChef?

Jesse Rosenwald: This was possibly the best outcome we could have had. Not winning the apron the first go around was shocking. It hurt. We thought we were losers and were going to go home. Then when they told us they were doing a second chance, we looked at each other saying, ‘we’re not looking back. Every single day we’re going to live and breathe food and just crush every cook going forward.

Jessica Bosworth: It lit a fire in us. There was no turning back after that. We just fully immersed ourselves in the experience.

In the finale the Brussels sprouts were burning. There were issues with the short rib cooking. What was going through your mind when all that was happening?

Jesse: I would say all the cooks leading into the finale helped us work around those issues. I put the brussels sprouts in the oven without thinking about how high the temperature was and wanted to just keep them warm and crispy. When we open that oven we were like, ‘oh my God! We just burnt the Brussels sprouts.” Having it happen at the time of plating was terrible, but I remember we had a couple of other brussels sprouts hanging around somewhere and the cooker was still on. I was like Jess, you go to plating and I’m going to be behind you chopping these up. Thank god we got them done in time.

Jess: That was part of the experience. There are so many circumstances with all the cooks where you have to pivot. You expect things to go one way and you just have to think in a snap when they don’t. You have to just go with it.

Take me through the experience of working together as a couple.

Jessica: I think it absolutely benefited being together constantly. When we weren’t in the kitchen, we were researching and practicing. We were troubleshooting and coming up with concepts. We just lived and breathed the experience. We really did. It was amazing to do it with my partner.

Jesse: Absolutely. We took all the time here in our tiny, tiny kitchen and used it. That made the experience a little easier for us because we had more space when we were there and the pantry was amazing, so we had all those options to choose from. Like Jess said, when we went back after a shoot day, we’d talk about what went well, what didn’t go well, and how we could work together better. Whether it’s communication or what, we already danced well together because we were bartenders together before. We understood that tight-space movement and knowing where that other person was going to be at the same time. Every cook we got stronger. Every time we were in the kitchen we got stronger, memorizing where things were at the station and pantry. There is the confidence of being a Top 3 dish or winning as captains. The confidence helped us go further and further.

How was it getting to know the judges and taking in their critiques?

Jessica: It was surreal. Every time they would come over and give us a tidbit of advice and you take that and put it in your pocket. All of them had something to say where you think, “I never thought about doing it like that way.” You take all of what they say and run with it.

Jesse: As people who watch a lot of culinary shows and look at techniques, we were given new ways of doing things. Even the negative critiques, you think about that for the next cook. The one negative you may hold on to for the next time.

MasterChef

What are you going to do with the money?

Jesse: We’re working on a side business called 10 Inches South Shore Bar Pizza. The idea is to sell them frozen to start and then at grocery stores and locally to build customers who want them and eventually get into brick and mortar. We have a lot of ideas out there. You can follow us on our Instagram for more updates.

Jessica: The pizza is something near and dear to our hearts. We both grew up on the South Shore of Massachusetts, and that is where the pizza comes from. It’s something we began practicing together during COVID. It started as a passion project, and now we want to see it come to fruition.

Jesse: We want to open up an Italian provision shop with an artisanal sandwich shop inside of it. Also, maybe sell those frozen pizzas and maybe some fresh ones as well with sauces and other. We want it to be all-encompassing of food.

Are we getting an engagement? Will there be a ring? What’s the relationship status ?

Jessica: You knew that question was coming.

Jesse: You know we’ll see what’s going on with that.

Maybe Gordon can serve as officiant.

Jesse: Yes! Yes, exactly.

What are you taking from this experience?

Jesse: I would say meeting the other contestants was one of the best things that happened out of this. We still talk to this day. We have a huge WhatsApp group that people are active in every day. We have about 13 members coming for our watch party. That was one of the big things to take.

Jessica: That was a huge part of the experience. Being surrounded by fellow people who are equally as passionate as you are about food. It was incredible and inspiring to be around people like that.

Jesse: The big takeaway, working through imposter syndrome. We always knew our food was good and that we could make good products. But we always thought if it was good enough. Doing this with other people, and sharing the same sentiment and seeing it come to fruition, it really helped our confidence level.

How would you say life has changed for you since the show aired?

Jesse: It has been great. We’ve had so many people we’ve never met just reach out to say they were watching us from day one and that we have been their favorite to watch and that we hope we win. That’s what matters. The money is great, the title is nice and the trophy is awesome, but having people think this. Our dream is to cook for people and have people make our recipes. When we do a reel on Instagram or TikTok, we’re super excited to see people tell us they made it and it was delicious. That is a part of it.

Jessica: Food has always been love to us, so for us to spread that joy and have others follow along, it has been surreal.

If they ever do another duos, what do you say to someone interested in doing this?

Jesse: Absolutely, do it. This will change your life. Grab someone you trust, that could take heat every now and then because it can get spicy in there no matter what your relationship is. Do it. It was an amazing experience you don’t know until you do it. You don’t get the full scope of it just watching it on TV.

And if you survive this you can make it through anything. Perhaps a good couples test.

Jesse: Absolutely!

‘Jeopardy!’ Contestants Speak Out After Stunning End to Game

by jummy84 September 10, 2025
written by jummy84

[Warning: The following post contains MAJOR spoilers for the Tuesday, September 9, episode of Jeopardy!]

Jonathan Hugendubler returned for his third Jeopardy! game on Tuesday, September 9, a true nail-biter that came down to the final question.

Hugendubler faced off against Ian Morrison from Aurora, Colorado, and Stacy Shelly from Rockford, Illinois. Hugendubler, from Baltimore, Maryland, was attempting to add to his two-day total of $63,601.

The game started well for him as he answered the first three clues correctly. He found the Daily Double on clue four and wagered all of his $1,600.

In “Body Parts Everywhere,” the clue read, “At the end of an 1831 novel, his skeleton is found in a cellar with a curved spine and soon crumbles into dust.” Hugendubler, a trivia host, hesitated, which prompted host Ken Jennings to encourage him to answer. “Who is Long John Silver?” Hugendubler answered incorrectly, dropping down to $0. The correct response was Quasimodo.

After that, Morrison, an airline ramp agent, and Shelly, an attorney, both answered clues, leaving Hugendubler at $0. However, he answered the last three clues before the commercial break, bringing him to second place with $1,800.

The rest of the round was a battle for first place, but Hugendubler came out on top with $4,000. Morrison was in second with $3,200. Shelly had $2,800. Right before Morrison selected the last clue, he said, “Bring it,” a classic line from Jeopardy! champion Sam Buttrey.

“I couldn’t help but say ‘Bring it,’ for that last clue in DJ! Sorry, everyone!” he wrote on Reddit. after the show.

“I am not in the hating ‘Bring it’ crowd! Congrats,” a fan replied.

In Double Jeopardy, Hugendubler plowed ahead. By the time he found the first Daily Double of the round, he had $15,200. He wagered $5,200 in “18th Century Notables.” The clue was “This archduchess & empress led Austria through the Seven Years’ War & was the mother of Marie Antoinette.” The adjunct music professor answered, “Who is Mother Theresa?” giving him a total of $20,400.

After the DD, Shelly ran the category “New Yorkers Head South” and moved to second place with $7,600. Morrison then found the last DD a few clues later. With $5,600 in his bank, he wagered $3,000.

In “I’m Getting Crafy in My Old Age,” the clue read, “When I hear this word, I no longer think soup but ‘pottery that’s been fired once in a kiln & hasn’t been glazed.’” He correctly answered, “What is bisque?” and moved into second place with $8,600.

By the end of the round, Hugendubler still led with $21,200, but his opponents weren’t too far behind. Morrison had $14,600. Shelly was in third with $10,800.

Hugendubler seemed like the clear winner, but Final Jeopardy can change everything. The category was “Classic Rock & Classic Films.”

“In 1976, Groucho Marx sent this band a telegram congratulating them on their ‘sage choice’ in album titles” was the clue. The correct response was “Who is Queen?” which only one contestant got right.

Shelly answered, “Who is Led?” She wagered $2,401, dropping down to $8,399. Morrison did get it right and wagered $7,409. This made his total $22,009, currently higher than Hugendubler’s. The reigning champion’s response was “Who is Led Zeppelin?” He wagered $8,001, making his total $13,199. Hugendubler lost, and Morrison became the new champion. He will return tomorrow for his second game.

On Reddit, Morrison thanked a commenter for their compliment on his checkered bowtie. He also revealed that he wore a kilt on The Weakest Link when he was on it three years ago. Find out what he wears tomorrow for game two.
