Check out Anna Karenina Song Lyrics by Cigarettes After Sex

I never told you where I was going
I never told you what I was doing
I never told you any of my secrets, really
I never told you who I was out with sometimes
I never told you who came by
I never told you

Walking in the suicide dreams
You knew that I was all yours
You got me now, I’m, I’m all yours
But I got you and you won’t get free
You’ll never get free
There’s no place left for you to go

I cried at the end of Anna Karenina
When she threw herself undеr the train
I cried at the еnd of Anna Karenina
When she threw herself under the train

Laughing as you take your shirt off
And you take your skirt off
And you jump
Into the swimming pool
I feel the world is on fire
As you come in on top of me
And the lights are off

Inside the house
It was a deep and painful love I felt for you
It was a deep and painful love that I felt for you
And I’ll never get free
I’ll never be free

I cried at the end of Anna Karenina
When she threw herself under the train
I cried at the end of Anna Karenina
When she threw herself under the train

‘Dream’ On: Miley Records New Song For Third ‘Avatar’ Film

by jummy84 October 23, 2025
written by jummy84

Miley Cyrus has been tapped to record a new song, “Dream As One,” for the upcoming third installment in director/writer James Cameron’s Avatar series, Fire and Ash, which will arrive in theaters on Dec. 19. The track will be released Nov. 14 through Columbia/Sony.

Cyrus contributed to the song’s music and lyrics in tandem with Andrew Wyatt, Mark Ronson and the Grammy-winning Simon Franglen, who also composed the film score. “Dream As One” will be heard during Fire and Ash‘s end credits and will be featured on its original soundtrack, due Dec. 12.

“Honored to support Avatar: Fire and Ash with an original song I’ve written with Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt,” Cyrus wrote in an Instagram post that teases a portion of the song. “Having been personally affected by fire and being rebuilt from the ashes, this project holds profound meaning for me. Thank you, Jim, for the opportunity to turn that experience into musical medicine. The film’s themes of unity, healing and love resonate deeply within my soul, and to be even a small star in the universe the Avatar family has created is truly a dream come true.”

Fire and Ash stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Kate Winslet and Edie Falco. It’s the follow-up to 2022’s The Way of Water, which was itself the sequel to the 2009 original. Two additional films are expected in 2029 and 2031.

As for Cyrus, she has kept a low profile following the summer release of her ninth album, Something Beautiful, which was accompanied by a musical film of the same name that’s available on Disney+ and Hulu.

The Dodos’ Meric Long Announces Solo Album, Shares New Song: Listen

by jummy84 October 21, 2025
written by jummy84

Two decades after co-founding the Dodos with drummer Logan Kroeber, singer and guitarist Meric Long will release his first solo album under his own name. The record, Kablooey, is out this Friday, October 24, via Polyvinyl. Below, listen to the new album’s lead single, “A Small Act of Defiance.”

Long worked on Kablooey in between shifts as an in-house engineer at John Vanderslice’s Oakland, California, recording studio, Tiny Telephone. “This album was really meant to be fun and not too purposeful,” Long shared. “I put a lot into it as one would expect, but I really just wanted to make something that was fun and allowed me to follow my more ‘amped-up kid in a candy store’ impulses.”

Kablooey follows the Dodos’ 2021 album, Grizzly Peak. It also follows Long’s true solo debut, a 2018 album called Barton’s Den that he released under the moniker Fan.

Ice Cube Responds to Criticism of His New Song ‘Act My Age’

by jummy84 October 21, 2025
written by jummy84

Ice Cube took some time to fire back at a critic of his new song, “Act My Age,” and said the troll should get a sense of humor.

Cube dropped off the music video for his “Act My Age” song with Scarface on Oct. 15, and one viral post on X noted that the track is “a prime example of why, as a rapper, you just gotta know when it’s time to hang the mic up.”

“I would never listen to you and hang up my mic,” Cube wrote in response on Monday (Oct. 20). “You’ve obviously lost your sense of humor. You need to go find it and stay out of my business.”

The song actually deals with this very topic, with Cube saying at the beginning of the track: “If you’re over 35 and still rapping, keep rapping, my boy. F—k all of that, ‘Oh, I’m getting old’ s—t. No, we need y’all, we need y’all to save music. We need the real lyricists back.”

The song originally appeared on Cube’s latest album, Man Up, which dropped on Sept. 12.

“I’ve always stood on speaking truth to power and making music that reflects reality,” Cube said in a statement. “Man Up is about accountability, resilience and reminding people where the real problems come from. Hip-hop didn’t create the struggle — it gave us the language to call it out.”

Billboard had previously talked with Cube in 2024, when he teased Man Up and said he was inspired by America’s alleged softness. “It’s about men not accepting nonsense and speaking up, and not just taking a backseat, letting other people take the lead,” he said at the time. “We gotta take the lead.”

Kenny Loggins demands Trump remove his song from AI ‘poop’ video – National

by jummy84 October 21, 2025
written by jummy84

Kenny Loggins is speaking out against U.S. President Donald Trump using his song Danger Zone in an AI video posted to his Truth Social account in response to the “No Kings” protests over the weekend.

In a statement shared with Variety on Monday, Loggins, 77, demanded that his song be removed from the AI video showing Trump in a fighter jet dropping what appears to be fecal matter on “No Kings” protesters.

“This is an unauthorized use of my performance of Danger Zone. Nobody asked me for my permission, which I would have denied, and I request that my recording on this video is removed immediately,” Loggins said in the statement.

“I can’t imagine why anybody would want their music used or associated with something created with the sole purpose of dividing us. Too many people are trying to tear us apart, and we need to find new ways to come together,” Loggins continued.

“We’re all Americans, and we’re all patriotic. There is no ‘us and them’ — that’s not who we are, nor is it what we should be. It’s all of us. We’re in this together.”

Loggins said that he hopes “we can embrace music as a way of celebrating and uniting each and every one of us.”

The Loggins song featured in the AI video was famously used in the 1986 Top Gun film, which is what the AI video appears to be paying homage to.

In response to a request for comment on the video, a representative for the White House reportedly sent Variety a Top Gun meme that read: “I feel the need for speed.”

Millions of people marched and rallied in cities across the U.S. on Saturday for “No Kings” demonstrations, decrying what participants see as the government’s swift drift into authoritarianism under Trump.

People carrying signs with slogans such as “Nothing is more patriotic than protesting” or “Resist Fascism” packed New York City’s Times Square and rallied by the thousands in parks in Boston, Atlanta and Chicago.

Demonstrators marched through Washington and downtown Los Angeles and picketed outside capitols in several Republican-led states, a courthouse in Billings, Mont., and at hundreds of smaller public spaces.

The official White House account on X reacted to “No Kings” day by sharing an image of Trump and U.S. Vice-President JD Vance wearing crowns above an image of House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Sen. Chuck Schumer wearing sombreros.

Trump’s Republican Party disparaged the demonstrations as “Hate America” rallies, including U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson.

The “No Kings” coalition responded to Johnson’s comments, referring to the protest as the “Hate America rally” and blaming it for “the ongoing government shutdown.”

“Speaker Johnson is running out of excuses for keeping the government shut down. Instead of reopening the government, preserving affordable healthcare, or lowering costs for working families, he’s attacking millions of Americans who are peacefully coming together to say that America belongs to its people, not to kings,” the group said, adding that they will “see everyone on October 18.”

The “No Kings” protests first took place in hundreds of American cities on June 14 during a military parade in Washington that marked the U.S. army’s 250th anniversary, which coincided with Trump’s birthday.

The protests were held to counter what organizers said were Trump’s plans to feed his ego on his 79th birthday (which was also Flag Day). The “No Kings” theme was orchestrated by the 50501 Movement — which stands for 50 states, 50 protests, one movement — and is made up of members of the American public who say they stand for democracy and against what they call the authoritarian actions of the Trump administration.

Protesters have called for Trump to be “dethroned,” as they compare his actions to those of a king and not a democratically elected president.

“They’ve defied our courts, deported Americans, disappeared people off the streets, attacked our civil rights, and slashed our services,” the group says on its website, referring to the Trump administration and its policies. “They’ve done this all while continuing to serve and enrich their billionaire allies.”

She’s what I want (What I want)
But not the one I need (One I need)
She’s what I want, but not what I need (Ooh, yeah)

She got what I want, but she not what I need (Uh)
Let you hit my b*tch ‘fore I let you hit my weed (Uh)
She think she got the best, but it’s just good to me
I done had a threesome with two sisters on a beach
She say, “You’ll never find another bitch like me”
She don’t know I meet her type like five days a week (Bitch)
Hoppin’ off the jet and my LV bag reek (Bitch)
Gotta keep a chop on me ’cause ain’t shit sweet (Brr)

I could never save her, I’m a different type of breed (Different type of)
CC all my b*tches, I love all my freaks (All my freaks)
I been gettin’ richer and these niggas hate to see it (Yeah ooh, yeah)
Textin’ like a broke nigga, sure hate to be it (Yeah, oh, yeah)
Head so good, don’t wanna say goodbye (Uh)
‘Fore I go, I gotta let her swallow my pride (Ooh)
Say she wanna come back through tonight (Uh)
But should I swap her out? It be hard to decide

Said she’s what I want (What I want)
But not what I need (What I need)
She’s what I want, but not what I need
She’s what I want (What I want)
But not the one I need (One I need)
She’s what I want, but not what I need (Ooh, yeah)

Ooh, wait, I’ma hop in it
If it’s BBW, I belly-flop in it
Why we gossipin’? Why we not sippin’?
If she the opp, I’m the optimist
See, she the one I want, but she not the one I need, though
All these b*tches foul, I been knockin’ down my free throws
Head in the clouds, no, it’s not that you do weed smoke
Mona Lisa smile, but she not gon’ let her teeth show
Even though she bad for me, nigga, she too good for these niggas
She be bad for me, nigga, she be good to me, nigga
She be nasty, my nigga, like ugh for me, nigga
She gon’ ride me then sit on top my hood for me, nigga
I don’t need you, but I want you, lil’ bitch
I wanna see you like some art, you lil’ b*tch
I’m tryna eat you a la carte, you lil’ b*tch
But like a C do, I fall off, you lil’ b*tch

Said she’s what I want (What I want, yeah, yeah, yeah)
But not what I need (What I need, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
She’s what I want, but not what I need (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
She’s what I want (She’s what I want)
But not the one I need (Not the one I need)
She’s what I want, but not the one I need (Ooh, yeah)
