Sabrina Carpenter has finally released her long-awaited 2025 album, Man’s Best Friend, and the pop star wasn’t kidding when she warned that it wasn’t for “pearl clutchers.” After dropping the album on August 29, 2025, Sabrina released the accompanying music video for “Tears,” and the lyrics are a tribute to how “f**king horny” her music dares to be!

During her August 2025 CBS Mornings appearance, Sabrina acknowledged that her songs are “almost too TMI” but pointed out, “I think about being at a concert with, you know, however many young women I see in the front row that are screaming at the top of their lungs with their best friends, and you can go like, ‘Oh, we can all sigh [in] relief like, ‘This is just fun.’ And that’s all it has to be.’”

Below, we’re breaking down the lyrics of “Tears” and unpacking who the song could be about.

Who Is Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Tears’ About?

There’s no way to tell if “Tears” was written about anyone in particular. According to the lyrics, Sabrina was inspired by anyone who’s “responsible.” The Grammy Award winner’s tongue-in-cheek song praises any man who can “do the dishes” or “assemble a chair from IKEA.”

Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Tears’ Song Lyrics

The main chorus of “Tears” are pretty self-explanatory: Sabrina is singing about a person who actually treats her right and isn’t a “manchild” like her famous single.

“I get wet at the thought of you (I get) / Being a responsible guy (So, so, so, responsible guy),” she sings in the chorus. “Treating me like you’re supposed to do (Supposed to do) / Tears run down my thighs (Dance break).”

In one verse, the Video Music Award winner points out that “a little respect for women can get you very, very far” and “remembering how to use your phone gets me oh so (Oh so), oh so hot.”

Another verse in the witty track goes,  “A little initiative can go a very long, long way / Baby, just do the dishes, I’ll give you what you (What you), what you want / A little communication, yes, that’s my ideal foreplay / Assemble a chair from IKEA, I’m like, ‘Uh’ (Ah).”

In short, “Tears” describes a man who is the opposite of the one in her single “Manchild.”

Neil Young goes after Trump in new protest song, ‘Big Crime’ – National

by jummy84 August 29, 2025

Legendary Canadian rocker Neil Young debuted a new song this week, titled Big Crime, which not-so-subtly takes aim at U.S. President Donald Trump.

Young played the new track criticizing the Trump administration at his show in Chicago with his band The Chrome Hearts on Wednesday, and later posted the song’s lyrics on his Neil Young Archives website.

“There’s big crime in D.C. at the White House,” the 79-year-old rock icon sings in the chorus. Other lyrics aimed at Trump but not mentioning the president by name include “don’t need no fascist rules, don’t want no fascist schools, don’t want no soldiers walking on the streets.”

“Got to get the fascists out, got to clean the White House out, don’t want soldiers on our streets,” Young sings.

He also takes Trump’s signature slogan, “Make America Great Again,” and repeats throughout the song, “No more great again.”

Young’s new song makes reference to Trump sending thousands of National Guard troops and federal law enforcement officials into Washington in a bid to fight the violent crime he claimed had strangled the city. Last week, Trump said he wants US$2 billion from Congress to beautify Washington as part of his crackdown on the city.

The development in Trump’s effort to override the law enforcement authority of state and local governments comes as he is considering expanding the deployments to other Democratic-led cities, including Baltimore, Chicago and New York.

Young, who is a Canadian-American dual citizen, has directly criticized Trump in the past. In May, he told Trump to stop “worrying” about what Bruce Springsteen and other celebrities think of him.

In a post on his website, Young told Trump he should focus on “saving America from the mess you made” instead of arguing with celebrities who have criticized him, like his recent feud with Springsteen.

“What are you worryin’ about man?” Young wrote in the post. “Bruce and thousands of musicians think you are ruining America. You worry about that instead of the dyin’ kids in Gaza. That’s your problem.

“I am not scared of you. Neither are the rest of us. You shut down FEMA when we needed it most. That’s your problem Trump. STOP THINKING ABOUT WHAT ROCKERS ARE SAYING.”

Young added that Taylor Swift “is right” and “so is Bruce.” (Swift was a subject of one of Trump’s Truth Social posts in May. He wrote: “Has anyone noticed that, since I said ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,’ she’s no longer ‘HOT?’”)

“You know how I feel. You are more worried about yourself than AMERICA,” Young added. “Wake up Trump!! Remember what the White House is?”

“You are forgetting your real job. You work for us. Wake up Republicans! This guy is out of control. We need a real president,” Young concluded his post.

Young’s post came after Trump escalated his feud with Springsteen, calling for a “major investigation” into the rock legend after Springsteen branded the Trump administration as “corrupt, incompetent and treasonous” during a concert in England.

In early April, the Harvest Moon singer voiced concern that he may not be allowed to re-enter the United States after his European tour due to his criticism of Trump.

Young spoke out about his fears in a post on his Neil Young Archives website.

“When I go to play music in Europe, if I talk about Donald J. Trump, I may be one of those returning to America who is barred or put in jail to sleep on a cement floor with an aluminum blanket,” the folk-rock icon wrote.

“If I come back from Europe and am barred, can’t play my USA tour, all of the folks who bought tickets will not be able to come to a concert by me,” he added. “That’s right folks, if you say anything bad about Trump or his administration, you may be barred from re-entering USA. If you are Canadian. If you are a dual citizen like me, who knows? We’ll all find that out together.”

As Young has done many times in the past, he did not hold back about his feelings on Trump in his post, writing, “If the fact that I think Donald Trump is the worst president in the history of our great country could stop me from coming back, what does that say for Freedom? I love America and its people and its music and its culture.… Remember Freedom of Speech?”

Alabama Shakes Share First New Song in 10 Years: Listen

by jummy84 August 29, 2025
written by jummy84

Alabama Shakes are back with their first new song in a decade. “Another Life” is the rock trio’s first original track since the 2015 album Sound & Color—and their debut single for new label home Island. Listen to it below.

“When I wrote ‘Another Life,’ I was thinking about all the lives we carry,” Shakes vocalist and guitarist Brittany Howard shared in a statement. “The ones we’re living right now, the ones that slipped away because of different choices, the what ifs, the what wasn’t meant to be, the goodbyes, and the chance encounters that feel divine. This song is about those threads and how they stretch across time and space, connecting every version of who we are. It’s about letting them come together, letting them harmonize, and realizing that goodbye isn’t really goodbye. It’s more like I’ll see you later. A collective story that never stops unfolding. I’m glad we opened this door into this reality of us making music together again.”

Alabama Shakes—the trio of Howard, Heath Fogg, and Zac Cockrell—went on official hiatus in 2018. Since then, Howard has released two solo albums under her own name: 2019’s Jaime and 2023’s What Now. The band are currently in the midst of their first tour since 2017, which will continue through the end of September.

Miley Cyrus Gave Dad Billy Ray Cyrus an Original Song For His 64th Bday

by jummy84 August 26, 2025
written by jummy84

Billy Ray Cyrus knows daughter Miley Cyrus will definitely love him now that he’s turned 64 because she showed him in a song. The country singer celebrated his birthday this week with a very special gift from his daughter: an unreleased song called “Secrets” featuring two of his all-time favorite rock stars.

“For my birthday, Miley gave me the gift of music and wrote me a song called ‘Secrets’ and got my favorite musicians Fleetwood Mac to play on it! I love you Mile,” Billy Ray wrote on Instagram in a birthday post on Monday in which he wanders around in a field seemingly listening to the gentle ballad on his phone with a big smile on his face.

“Secrets, I want to keep your secrets/ Like sunlight in the shadows/ Like footsteps in the grass,” Miley sings on the track. “I won’t ever break my promise/ Like a songbird in the silence/ Like stones against the glass.” According to People, Miley previewed the song featuring Fleetwood Mac’s Mick Fleetwood and Lindsey Buckingham in June during her interview on Monica Lewinsky’s podcast, in which she talked about how writing the song helped her resolve the long-running tensions between her and her dad.

“I wrote this song about my dad because I wanted him to tell me even though there were secrets, even though I didn’t really want to know,” she told Lewinsky. “I wanted to be the one he felt safe enough to tell me the things that were damning and damaging to the family. I wanted him to think that as a middle child, I’m old enough that I could take some of that.”

That’s not the only way Billy Ray is celebrating. The singer said he’s also giving back this year by sharing a remix of his breakthrough 1990 hit, “Achy Breaky Heart.” In an Instagram post featuring throwback video from his mega-mullet days, Cyrus wrote, “From the very first time I sang ‘Achy Breaky Heart’ in the spring of ’91 to this remix today, it’s all because of YOU. I teamed up with [the song’s writer] Don Von Tress and The Johnson Mill Branch Boys on a brand-new ‘Achy Breaky Heart (Remix)’ as my gift to the fans. None of this would have been possible without the support of y’all through the years.”

“Achy Breaky Heart” hit No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Hot Country singles and tracks chart back in the day, giving Cyrus his biggest chart hit until his 2018 remix team-up with Lil Nas X on the Hot 100 No. 1 smash “Old Town Road.”

Neil Young Performs Reagan-Era Protest Song 'Long Walk Home': Watch

Neil Young Performs Reagan-Era Protest Song ‘Long Walk Home’: Watch

by jummy84 August 25, 2025
written by jummy84

Midway through his set at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, New York, on Saturday night, Neil Young sat at the piano and performed his Reagan-era protest song “Long Walk Home” for the first time since 1989.

The lyrics were largely faithful to the original version on Young’s 1987 LP Life with one crucial difference. “From Vietnam to old Beirut/If we are searching for the truth/Why do we feel that double-edged blade/Cutting through our hand” from the album was changed to “From Canada to Old Ukraine/We broke our word and left the pain/Why do we feel that double-edged blade/Cutting through our hand.”

Young and his wife, actress Daryl Hannah, are very vocal supporters of Ukraine. When Hannah appeared at the Oscars earlier this year, she made the peace sign with her hands and said, “Slava Ukraine.” This means “Glory to Ukraine,” and has become a battle cry for supporters of the embattled nation. Young originally planned on beginning his 2025 Love Earth Tour with a show in Ukraine, but ultimately pulled the plug.

“We had a good venue, close to the shelter, but the changing situation on the ground was too much,” Young wrote in a letter to fans. “I could not in good conscience take my crew and instruments into that area. My apologies to call. Ukraine is a great country with a good leader. Slava Ukraini.”

When Young originally recorded “Long Walk Home” in 1987, it was a sign that his early support for Ronald Reagan was a thing of the past. “I was never a Reagan supporter in a total blanket sense,” he told MTV in 1990. “I was one of those who felt that some ideas he had were good ideas. He had one point that he was stressing in the first six months of his job that he thought the people in the communities and neighborhoods should pull together and try to do things on their own more than depending on government to do it for them. And I thought that was a hell of an idea and here’s this old guy and he’s kind of got this image, of this fatherly image, telling all these people in their neighborhoods to pull together and get your own daycare centers happening, and get this and that happening.”

Editor’s picks

If there were any lingering doubts about his political views after “Long Walk Home,” he got rid of them in 1989 with the release of “Rockin’ in the Free World.” It’s a furious screed against George H.W. Bush that took his famous “Thousand Points of Light” speech from the 1988 Republic National Convention, along with his inaugural pledge to “kinder the face of the nation and gentler the face of the world,” and twisted it into, “We have a thousands points of light/For the Homeless Man/We’ve got a kinder and gentler/Machine-gun hand.” (And that was a gentle song compared to his 2006 response to the elder Bush’s son.)

At the Jones Beach show on Saturday, Young closed out the night with “Rockin’ in the Free World,” and added in the “Take America Back!” chant he originated in April at a Los Angeles Bernie Sanders/Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez rally.

Earlier in the night, he played “Singer Without a Song” for the first time in 12 years. The super deep cut appears on no album, and only surfaced on the 2012-13 Crazy Horse Alchemy Tour, along with a handful of benefit gigs later in 2013. “It’s been a long time since we’ve done this one,” he told the crowd. “Never.” (Earlier in the day, Young and the Chrome Hearts soundchecked it a number of times since no member of the band had ever played it before.)

Trending Stories

The two rarities weren’t the only unusual aspect of the Jones Beach show. The lingering impact of Hurricane Erin produced a high tide that event organizers knew would flood the pit midway through Young’s set. (The amphitheater sits directly on Zach’s Bay, and the pit is below sea level.) Fans with general admission pit tickets were presented with the option of accepting refunds or receiving unsold reserved seats in the stands. It created a very unusual scene where the large area directly in front of the stage was completely empty, and it indeed slowly filled with water throughout Young’s set.

The tour continues Monday night at the site of the original Woodstock Festival in Bethel, New York, which is now known as the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. Things were pretty wet the first time that Young played there back in 1969, but there shouldn’t be any flooding this time around.

Bruce Springsteen's Born to Run: Every Song Ranked

Bruce Springsteen’s Born to Run: Every Song Ranked

by jummy84 August 25, 2025
written by jummy84

In celebration of Bruce Springsteen turning 50, we revisit Dan Caffrey’s ranking of The Boss’ classic album Born to Run. This article was originally published in 2015.

Ranking the Album is a feature in which we take an iconic or beloved record and dare to play favorites. It’s a testament to the fact that classic album or not, there are still some tracks we root for more than others to pop up in our shuffles. Today, in honor of the 50th anniversary of Bruce Springsteen’s Born to Run, we rank the iconic LP from best to greatest.

Born to Run turns 50 today. If you’re interested in the arduous making of the album — a sort of last-ditch effort for Bruce Springsteen to reach the superstar status he craved (working-class roots be damned) — or how it represented the decline of the American dream, there’s no shortage of great retrospectives out there from many other reputable publications. While these chronicles are more than worthy in their own right, I’m also not interested in how many guitar overdubs were recorded for the title track, or regurgitating the “lyrics by Dylan, sung by Orbison, and produced by Spector” line (although I guess I just did). Both of these bits of lore — and many other stories surrounding the album — are true, but that’s just what they are this late in the game: lore. The Springsteen mythology has been endlessly picked over, reassembled, torn apart, then built up again over the years, usually into a bigger, stronger, more godlike statue.

So for this installment of Ranking the Album, I’d like to put the grown-up critic in me to sleep and let my inner nine-year-old stay up past his bedtime. That’s the age when I first heard Born to Run during a road trip or two to Cocoa Beach, Florida, on my dad’s stereo while he was lifting weights, and just playing around the house whenever my family was cleaning, eating, or doing nothing at all. I’m sure I heard it all in one sitting at some point, but when you’re a kid, you can only remember one or two songs at a time. As such, I recall Born to Run slowly revealing itself across several months. That’s how I remember it, so for all intents and purposes, that’s how it happened.

And don’t worry, I didn’t write this in the tone of a precocious elementary schooler with purposely bad grammar and the verbal cadence of a propeller beanie spinning around and round on his head. I tried instead to channel those thoughts that bloom when hearing an album you love for the first time — intangible and more akin to images and pangs and colors than a refined analytical vocabulary. Some analysis, cynicism, and hindsight still crept in there, naturally, and there are several leaps and backpedals into time (I’m a 31-year-old man these days), but for the most part, it’s hard for me to not still hear this album the way I first heard it. I know “Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out” has nothing to do with the show Taxi, and “She’s the One” has little association with the film Heavyweights, but, as you’ll soon read, those connections, silly as they are, will always exist for me.

So let’s do it together. Let’s take a stab at music-lover romance as we disappear down Flamingo Lane or Thunder Road or Tenth Avenue or whatever your preferred Springsteen may be. Thanks for joining me.

– Dan Caffrey
Senior Staff Writer

8. NIGHT

Max Weinberg’s driftwood-on-oil-drum snaps are always jarring after the fading boardwalk party of “Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out”, and as a kid, this bothers you. As you get older, you learn that music critics call these sorts of dips “filler” and that they’re a necessary device. Every great album needs a a valley where you can come down from the mountain and take a breather. Born to Run just happens to be an album so anthemic that one of its valleys is a song like “Night” — still one of the fastest and most urgent tracks on the record.

As you get older yet again, you learn that great albums don’t actually have filler at all, and that “gems” or “deep cuts” are perhaps more accurate descriptors, even if The Boss did the guy-getting-off-work thing better on his next album, Darkness on the Edge of Town. Your mom and dad play this CD around the house, too, and even at nine, you could tell that the two works were markedly different, despite containing similar stories: Springsteen the idealist versus Springsteen the realist. And when it comes to getting-off-work songs, you’ll eventually prefer realism, especially once you start working yourself. For the record, this will always be at an office, not a factory.

7. SHE’S THE ONE

In 1995, a kids movie about a fat camp will come out. It’s called Heavyweights. You haven’t watched the film much since then because you remember it being great and are afraid you’ll feel otherwise if you revisit it. You remember there being a montage set to a song called “I Want Candy”. It sounds an awful lot like “She’s the One”, which, you’ll find out later, is because they both utilize the syncopated “Bo Diddley Beat”.

You don’t know any of this as a nine-year-old, so whenever you hear “She’s the One”, you have visions of chubby kids running around the woods, tying domineering counselors to trees, and pigging out on sweets they’ve stashed around their cabin. It doesn’t matter that the song has nothing to do with this. As an adult, you’ll tell fellow critics it’s one of your least favorite tracks on Born to Run because of its repetition (it’s the only song that feels long to you), and for the fact that Springsteen wasn’t yet old enough to accurately write about love (a stance you cribbed from both Robert Christgau and Pitchfork’s Mark Richardson).

But those are lies. The real reason “She’s the One” kind of irks you is because it reminds you of a camp counselor getting punched in the balls. That’s still pretty funny, but it breaks up Born to Run’s consistent imagery of muscle cars, motorcycles, factories, boardwalks, rumbles, and bank heists.

6. TENTH AVENUE FREEZE-OUT

This is the one your parents always sing along to, except for the one line sung-said by Clarence Clemons. “And kid you better get the picture,” he purrs soothingly and almost inaudibly. Out of all the songs on the album, it’s the one that reminds you most of the ’70s — Steven Van Zandt’s horned-out intro and bridge touched with just a sprinkling of desperation, aka a young Springsteen’s ceaseless quest to be a rock star, even if it means trudging through the snow to a gig after the band’s van breaks down.

That image of vehicular malfunction is a far cry from the other auto-related icon the intro and bridge remind you of: the theme from Taxi. This will become a less accurate comparison as you get older, but the footage of an automobile successfully making its way to and from New York becomes an apt metaphor for the career of Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band following the success of Born to Run.

Song Name – Jealous Type
Singer – Doja Cat

Check out Jealous Type Song Lyrics by Doja Cat

Boy, let me know if this is careless, I
Could be torn between two roads that I just can’t decide
Which one is leading me to hell or paradise?
Baby, I can’t hurt you, sure, but I’m the jealous type
I’m the jealous type

He loves me
But he can’t hold this above me
When my eyes are green, I’m ugly
You’re vain and hip to rushing
I’m so over-tired
I will not wait in this lane
Never seen you cry
You’re mine

Boy, let me know if this is careless, I (Let me know)
Could be torn between two roads that I just can’t decide (Just can’t decide)
Which one is leading me to hell or paradise? (Oh)
Baby, I can’t hurt you, sure, but I’m the jealous type
I’m the jealous type

Oh, I’m jealous, baby, yeah, I’m jealous
Oh, I’m jealous, baby, I’m the jealous type
Oh, I’m jealous, baby, yeah, I’m jealous
Oh, I’m jealous, baby, I’m the jealous type

I said, “You wanna do what now with who?”
I don’t need a pin-drop or a text tonight
I ain’t even coming out with you
You don’t wanna show me off to your ex or your friends tonight
Nigga, you must be on molly
‘Cause y’all ain’t kick it when we started up
And if she really was a friend like you said she was
I would’ve been locked in, but I called your bluff, ha
No girl enjoys trying to tough it out for a party boy
Everyone wants you and you love all the noise
You want what you can have, but I made a choice
I’m not your type (Boy, let me know)

Boy, let me know if this is careless, I
Could be torn between two roads that I just can’t decide (I can’t decide)
Which one is leading me to hell or paradise?
Baby, I can’t hurt you, sure, but I’m the jealous type
I’m the jealous type

Oh, I’m jealous, baby, yeah, I’m jealous
Oh, I’m jealous, baby, I’m the jealous type
Oh, I’m jealous, baby, yeah, I’m jealous
Oh, I’m jealous, baby, I’m the jealous type

Harnaaz Sandhu, who became the third Indian to win the Miss Universe title in 2021, is set to make her Bollywood debut in Baaghi 4, and fans are already impressed. After facing online criticism and body-shaming for gaining weight post-pageant, the former beauty queen has unveiled a stunning new look in the recently released song, Bahli Sohni.

The track, which dropped on August 22, features Harnaaz alongside Tiger Shroff in a glamorous new avatar. Her graceful moves and confident screen presence, all while flaunting a toned physique in stylish sarees, have earned her widespread praise. Fans have been quick to compare her to Bollywood’s top stars, with many calling her the new-age “desi girl.”

Fans React to Her New Look

Videos and clips of Harnaaz from the song have gone viral on Instagram, with users showering her with compliments. One user posted a video of her looks from the song and wrote, “DESI GIRL FR! Miss Universe 2021, Harnaaz, the queen slayed, devoured, mothereddd so harddd! Reminded me so much of Priyanka and Deepika in her latest music video from the upcoming film Baaghi 4!”

Others noted her incredible transformation, with comments like, “Wow, when did this happen?” and “Her body is bodying back again.” Comparisons to other actresses also poured in, with some fans noting, “She gives me Priyanka Chopra vibes,” while another added, “She’s giving Sushmita Sen from Main Hoon Na vibes.”

Harnaaz on Body-Shaming

After her Miss Universe win, Harnaaz was subjected to significant online trolling for her weight gain.

In April 2022, she revealed her diagnosis with coeliac disease, a condition that prevents her from consuming wheat and other foods.
Later that year, in an interview with People Magazine, Harnaaz spoke about the bullying she faced. “I was bullied for gaining weight. It was uncomfortable and really surprising to see how people started having their opinions, which should not really matter,” she said. “It’s not about how you look; it’s about who you are inside, how you treat people, and what you believe in.”

Baaghi 4, directed by A. Harsha and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, is an action thriller starring Tiger Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, Sonam Bajwa, and Harnaaz Sandhu. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on September 5.
