The Kansas City–based artist 1010Benja is following his debut studio album, Ten Total, with a new EP. The new project is called 3X10, and it’s out October 31 via Tabloid. Below, listen to 1010Benja’s new single “YAM.”

According to a press release, 1010Benja recorded his new three-song EP in a friend’s basement in Kansas City, Missouri. “I mean, it’s three… by 10,” the producer, singer, and songwriter said of the EP in a statement. “Cheap and obvious marketing, but the songs are really passionate, and heartfelt. I got here the same way anyone does: I came from a really raw place.”

Discussing “YAM,” he added, “‘YAM’ stands for ‘YOUR ASS, MINE,’ and wouldn’t you know it? Life’s got you; the gods and planets ensnare the weak and vulnerable. You, you are a snare; your love is a prison. The truth hurts—its violence is rich and sweet. When an American leaves their familiar land to travel to tropical places, one bite of a good ‘YAM’ is worth 1,000 Quarter Pounders.”

Along with sharing the new song, Jackzebra has announced that he’ll release a new mixtape, Hunched Jack Mixtape, on Friday, October 3, via Surf Gang. The project will follow last year’s 王中王 and the more recent Above & Beyond.

Next month, Jackzebra will play shows in Brooklyn, New York, and Los Angeles. The dates are billed as his debut U.S. headline shows. See the details below.

Sabrina Carpenter might be singing “When Did You Get Hot?” to a random ex — but Kevin Bacon? He’s dedicating it to the pigs on his farm. The actor shared a guitar-backed reimagining of the Man’s Best Friend favorite from his farm, and Carpenter absolutely loved it.

“We’re big fans of @sabrinacarpenter here on the farm!” Bacnon accepted his post.

Wearing an Iron Maiden shirt, Bacon plays the song, adding a little personalized twist to Carpenter’s original lyrics: “Now I’m at the prospect convention / My friend looks in your friend’s direction / Said, ‘I’m Bacon, you must be Kevin,’ / And I was like, ‘Huh.’”

Bacon then continues into the chorus, looking back at his roaming pigs and horses in the background: “I did a double take, triple take / Take me to pigs in the blanket, back in the farm. / Piggy, piggy, you’re thickening the plot. When did you get hot?”

Carpenter shared the video of Bacon on her Instagram Story, writing, “least expected but best cover of the year award!!” She also left a comment under his video, writing, “The vibes on the farm are immaculate.”

Bacon previously spoke to Rolling Stone about his love for Carpenter and her album Man’s Best Friend. At the time, he said he was particularly enjoying “Never Getting Laid.”

The Salman Khan-hosted reality show Bigg Boss 19, famous for its fights, drama, and controversies, has now landed in legal trouble after the makers allegedly used two songs – Katrina Kaif’s Chikni Chameli and Imran Khan’s Dhat Tere Ki – without proper authorisation.

According to Mid-day India, Phonographic Performance Limited (PPL) has sent a legal notice to Bigg Boss 19 makers, citing that the show has used songs – Chikni Chameli from Agneepath and Dhat Tere Ki from Gori Tere Pyaar Mein in episode 11 of the show, but without permission.

The songs were used in episode 11 that streamed on September 3. PPL India has accused Endemol Shine India, which backs the popular reality show, of using these sound recordings without securing the “mandatory public performance licence”. The notice, dated September 19, was served by advocate Hiten Ajay Wasan and names the production house’s directors – Thomas Gousset, Nicolas Chazarain, and Deepak Dhar – as responsible parties.

“Both songs are licensed to Sony Music Entertainment India, one of the 450-plus music labels whose public performance rights are exclusively administered by PPL. PPL argues that because Endemol Shine India did not obtain a licence under Section 30 of the Copyright Act 1957, the use amounts to a ‘wilful infringement’,” said a source from the legal team.

The organisation has called upon the show’s producers to pay ₹2 crore in damages, along with the requisite licence fees. They also issued a cease-and-desist notice from using its sound recordings without authorisation.

Endemol Shine India and streaming platform JioHotstar are yet to react to the news.

Paul Thomas Anderson’s much-anticipated One Battle After Another has arrived in cinemas, but what songs are included? Find the full list below.

The acclaimed director, known for films such as There Will Be Blood, Boogie Nights, Phantom Thread and Magnolia, has made his name with his liberal use of needle drops throughout his career, and this 10th film is no different.

The film is inspired by the 1990 novel Vineland by Thomas Pynchon, who Anderson has previously adapted with his 2014 film Inherent Vice.

It stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Bob Ferguson, a washed-up ex-revolutionary who leads a team in the attempted rescue of the daughter of one of their own. Sean Penn, Benicio Del Toro, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, Chase Infiniti and Alana Haim co-star.

In a four star review of the film, NME wrote: “Operatic in its intensity and lush in its visuals (Anderson shot with old-school film format VistaVision), it’s a sometimes ragged, unwieldy experience. Like the recent Eddington, it’s another throw-it-against-the-wall-to-see-what-sticks movie. Some of it doesn’t. But thank the lord this $130m barmy blockbuster exists. From a pregnant Perfidia firing off rounds from her machine gun to an unforgettable finale on the undulating desert roads, it’s a mad stir of America’s melting pot on the cusp of boiling over.”

Every song on the One Battle After Another soundtrack

This is the sixth Paul Thomas Anderson film in a row to feature an original score from Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood, after There Will Be Blood, The Master, Inherent Vice, Phantom Thread and Licorice Pizza.

Beyond that, the film includes tracks from the likes of Steely Dan, Jackson 5, Gil Scott-Heron, Ella Fitzgerald, Tom Petty and Survivor.

FKA Twigs Announces ‘Eusexua Afterglow’ Release Date, Shares New Song

The singer released track “Cheap Hotel” on Thursday, calling her upcoming album “hungry, raw and ready to be adored”

After FKA Twigs led us into the pulsating corners of the club world with Eusexua, her follow-up album Eusexua Afterglow seeks to channel the “euphoria of movement” that lingers after leaving the party.

While her upcoming album was initially conceived as a deluxe LP to Eusexua, Afterglow will now be an entirely new body of work that serves a continuation of its predecessor and is set to arrive on Nov. 14, per a press release.

“AFTERGLOW, a visceral waterfall, as you leave the rave in search of your next wonder, give her your consent to kiss, splash and caress your naked skin,” Twigs wrote in an Instagram post on Thursday. “EUSEXUA stripped you down and her aftermath is hungry, raw and ready to be adored.”

The announcement of the release date arrived alongside a new track titled “Cheap Hotel” and music video. The cinematic feature directed by Jordan Hemingway sees Twigs and her friend book a room with an unlucky fellow’s credit card as the scene evolves into a provocative hotel rendezvous sans fellow. The party takes a surreal turn as Twigs pauses the music and everyone in the room freezes while she exits to grab a drink from a vending machine outside. Yet Twigs saves the best for last when the card’s owner eventually shows up and gets an unexpected surprise waiting behind the door.

Afterglow will follow Twig’s successful tour, which kicked off in Paris in March, and festival run in support of Eusexua. A Rolling Stone review of her third studio album detailed its “techno beats, house production, and unforgiving industrial tones.” Writer Julyssa Lopez praised the “unpredictable” album for its focus on “complete freedom and impulse,” as Twigs “recharges and transforms, becoming stronger and at times even unrecognizable.”
