EXCLUSIVE: Ranvir Shorey Recalls Sushant Singh Rajput Bringing His Telescope On Sonchiriya Sets In Dholpur

Ranvir Shorey recently opened up about his fond memories with the late Sushant Singh Rajput while promoting Sonchiriya. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Shorey confirmed that Sushant often listened to trance music before his shots to get into character—something many actors do. He then shared one of his most cherished moments from their time in Dholpur, where Sushant surprised the entire team by having his large telescope brought to the set so everyone could witness a rare celestial event together. Scroll down to read what he said and watch the full interview.

Ranvir Shorey On Late Sushant Singh Rajput

When asked if his co-star, the late Sushant Singh Rajput, used to listen to trans music before his shots, Ranvir Shorey answered, “Trance music toh sunta tha woh… he used to listen to music, you know. He used to listen to music to set himself in the mood. And I believe a lot of actors do that.”

Ranvir Recalls Best Memory With Sushant

Speaking of his best memories with Sushant, the Sonchiriya actor recalled, “One of the best memories I have with him is jab hum log Sonchiriya ki shooting kar rahe the Dholpur mein. And ek celestial event hone wala tha, an alignment of the Moon, Jupiter and Saturn… shayad aisa kuch tha, sorry yaar. And hum log Dholpur mein the shooting ke liye. Bhai sahab ne bina bataye kisi ko, apna jo bada telescope tha, woh pura pack karwa ke yahan mangwaya. Garden mein setup karwaya Dholpur mein. Phir sabko bulaya ki ‘aao, dekho event’. Hum wahan pahunche, drinks, snacks — matlab, I can’t tell you what a beautiful moment.”

He added, “Aur main sabko yeh baat kehna chahunga — please, screen pe Jupiter–Saturn–Moon dekhna ek cheez hai. Lekin jab aap telescope pe dekhte ho… You know there’s a difference, right? This is a digital medium. And through a telescope, you’re looking at it through optical light, real light from that object coming to the lens. Direct light aap optics se dekh rahe ho. It is a different experience, boss. So, sabko main kahunga… main toh waise bhi science ka, you know I’m a lover of science, it’s my hobby. Right? But I will recommend to everyone, apni life mein ek baar asli telescope ke through yeh cheezein zaroor dekhna. It is a different quality of experience. So anyway, coming back… this is one of my, not just with Sushant, this is one of my greatest memories ever. Haan, Sushant ke saath toh definitely this is the top one.”
