“See you soon.” A sneaky trailer surprise just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday! Lionsgate has revealed a quick & scary teaser trailer for the “horror finale” in this series – The Strangers: Chapter 3. It will wrap up the story introduced and explored in director Renny Harlin’s new horror trilogy reboot of The Strangers masked killers franchise – featuring The Strangers: Chapter 1 in 2024 + The Strangers: Chapter 2 in 2025 earlier this year. The next one shot back-to-back with the others is out in a few months. “See how it ends” in February. The curent survivors face more threats from masked strangers. Secrets emerge, jeopardizing their lives as the line between reality and peril blurs in their battle for survival. Nothing much more beyond that, other than this finale brings the series to a “full-circle reckoning of survival and revenge.” Harlin’s Chapter 3 stars Madelaine Petsch, Gabriel Basso, Ema Horvath, with Pablo Sandstrom & Richard Brake. Only a few glimpses of footage in this teaser so far but still worth a look now if you’re into this horror series.

In the final film of The Strangers trilogy, Maya (Madelaine Petsch) faces the masked killers one last time in a brutal, full-circle reckoning of survival and revenge. Lionsgate presents, a Fifth Element production, in association with Stream Media & Sherborne Media. The Strangers: Chapter 3 is directed by the prolific Finnish filmmaker Renny Harlin, director of many, many films including Born American, A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master, Die Hard 2, Cliffhanger, Cutthroat Island, The Long Kiss Goodnight, Deep Blue Sea, Mindhunters, Exorcist: The Beginning, The Covenant, Cleaner, 12 Rounds, 5 Days of War, Devil’s Pass, The Legend of Hercules, Skiptrace, Bodies at Rest, The Misfits, Class Reunion 3, The Refuge, The Bricklayer, and the other The Strangers: Chapters 1 & 2 movies previously.. The screenplay is written by Alan R. Cohen & Alan Freedland. Produced by Courtney Solomon, Mark Canton, Christopher Milburn, Gary Raskin, Alastair Burlingham, Charlie Dombek. Lionsgate will debut Harlin’s The Strangers: Chapter 3 horror movie in theaters nationwide starting February 6th, 2026 early next year. Anyone still interested?

“It may look dull… but it still does the job.” Well Go USA has debuted another new trailer for the film The Old Woman with the Knife, a Korean assassin dark thriller from filmmaker Min Kyu-dong. We already posted the first trailer months ago and it opened in select US theaters back in May – this new trailer is for the VOD release (on November 25th). An aging female assassin with a knack for taking out society’s worst encounters a young protégé eager to learn the trade – who has his own secrets. As they form a surprising & unexpected bond, the veteran killer discovers fresh purpose in her twilight years of violence and routine. Actress Lee Hye-yeong plays Hornclaw – a legendary assassin now in her 60s who specializes in “disease control,” or getting rid of “human vermin,” for over 40 years. Perhaps because she is getting older, she feels a strange compassion for the doctor who treated her. Also starring Kim Sung-cheol and Kim Mu-yeol. Another underrated, underseen action thriller that I recommend watching – it’s slick, stylish & entertaining. Most of all, Hornclaw is such a badass. Watch it just for her! Catch this film at home starting in November.

“We need to infiltrate further…” Apple has unveiled the first trailer for a thriller series titled The Savant, with episodes available for streaming starting in September running through November. This new series is based on the true story of an sneaky undercover investigator known as “The Savant” as she infiltrates online hate groups in an effort to stop domestic extremists before they act. The series is reportedly inspired by a true-life story originally published in Cosmopolitan in August 2019 about this “Savant” woman and what she achieved already. Jessica Chastain produces and stars in this new series as the mysterious woman at the center of the story. It follows the Savant, a top-secret investigator who infiltrates internet hate organizations to bring down the nation’s most violent men. The Apple TV+ series also stars Nnamdi Asomugha, Cole Doman, Jordana Spiro, Trinity Lee Shirley, Toussaint Francois Battiste, plus guest star Pablo Schreiber (as a bad guy?). With episodes directed by the filmmaker Matthew Heineman (Cartel Land, City of Ghosts, A Private War). This reminds me of a doc from this year called Hacking Hate also about a woman (from Sweden) who also infiltrates hate groups online and works to mess up their plans. Take a look.

The tense, high-stakes thriller follows an undercover investigator known as “The Savant” (starring Jessica Chastain) as she infiltrates online hate groups in an effort to stop domestic extremists before they act. The series is reportedly inspired by a true-life story entitled “Is It Possible to Stop a Mass Shooting Before It Happens?” which featured in Cosmopolitan in August 2019 of a woman who has come to be known as “the Savant” who infiltrates online hate-groups in order to prevent large-scale public attacks. The Savant is a series created by Canadian writer Melissa James Gibson, known for her many stage plays and writing on the series “The Americans”, “House of Cards”, and “Anatomy of a Scandal”. With additional writing from Frank Pugliese, Jerome Hairston, Amy Herzog, and James Anthony Tyler. Andrea Stanley, the writer of the original Cosmopolitan feature, serves as a consultant. And with episodes directed by acclaimed filmmaker Matthew Heineman (of Cartel Land, City of Ghosts, A Private War, Retrograde, American Symphony). Made by Fifth Season.
