Sophie Rose Gutterman Reveals the Ultimate Holiday 2025 Hair Edit: Which Trends to Try (and Skip)

written by jummy84

Sleigh your holiday hair! Celebrity hairstylist Sophie Rose Gutterman, who has worked with Emmy Rossum, Nicky Hilton, Karlie Kloss, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jackie Tohn, is spilling her mane do’s and don’ts for the upcoming holiday season with ET.

While prepping for parties can feel stressful, Gutterman says keeping your strands low-key with high shine is essential for a festive celebration.

“Start with moisture and a good leave-in product like the Curlsmith Moisture Memory Weightless Leave-In Release or Double Cream Deep Quencher to guarantee hydration and prevent frizz. … Apply it to wet hair from the mid-lengths to ends and try a slicked back bun. It’s a heatless style that looks chic and helps treat the hair,” she explains.

If you want to take it up a notch while still letting your sparkly outfit shine, the hair expert suggests leaning on simple accessories.

“Working with clothes is always recommended, but that doesn’t mean you have to completely tone it down. … While hair may sometimes have to take a back seat to a high collar or sequins, it’s still fun to create statements that speak beyond the wardrobe.”

Her pick this year: “Balenciaga recently did a fashion show featuring tons of bows, and my client who attended wore one with a half-up style and face framing bangs. It was so fun.”

It’s also important to avoid overdoing your locks so that you look good (and feel good) while mingling.

Balenciaga

“Limit the number of bobby pins you use. If it hurts while you’re styling, chances are you’ll have a headache by the end of the night and nobody wants that,” she notes.

Instead, opt for the Root Boost Uplifting Spray to keep your style lasting from cocktails to carols.

“Blow dry your hair with a good round brush, set it with clips, let it dry, take it down, and shake it out. You’re welcome for your new obsession,” she dishes.

But if you’re craving a bolder change as we head into 2026, the hairstylist believes bangs are the move.

“Don’t be scared of them! … They’re super cute with updos and make lived-in looks easier to style.”

And for a color shift, Gutterman suggests experimenting with a subtle semi-permanent shade.

“Looking for more warmth but not quite ready to go red? Ask your stylist for a toner. … Think of it as a lip-gloss for your hair.”

For a full new year, new hair vibe, try a fresh chop.

“If you’re open to cutting your hair, I’m loving the Sydney Sweeney bob right now! You can wear it so many different ways.”

bitchy | Princess Kate will skip the Rio Earthshot events because of the Forest Lodge move

by jummy84 October 29, 2025
written by jummy84

It’s still fascinating to see the complete lack of commentary around the Princess of Wales refusing to attend her husband’s Earthshot Prize ceremonies. Kate only went to the first two Earthshot events. She skipped in 2023 because “George had a test,” a hilariously dumb excuse. She skipped last year because her health was too fragile to travel internationally for anything other vacations. Speaking of, Kate has traveled a lot this year – several ski trips to the Alps, a vacation in Mustique in February, several weeks on a yacht in Greece, and probably several more vacations which we don’t even know about. But when it comes time to travel for “work,” Kate begs off. She will not join her husband in Rio. She even had a brand-new excuse: she can’t go to Rio because she’s moving into Forest Lodge!

Kate Middleton won’t join Prince William in Brazil for a key royal outing. The Prince of Wales, 43, is set to travel solo to Rio de Janeiro for his Earthshot Prize awards ceremony on Nov. 5. The Earthshot Prize “searches the world for environmental solutions that show the greatest potential.” During the event, William and a distinguished prize council will announce the five winners with a prize of £1 million, or around $1.3 million.

Following the events in Rio, William will then head to the UN climate conference in Belém, Brazil, on Nov. 6.

Meanwhile, Princess Kate will be staying home with the couple’s three children, Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7.

This year, Kate will be focused not only on taking care of the kids during their half-term break from Lambrook School and her ongoing recovery after announcing she was in remission from cancer, but she’s also seeing her family through a major transition.

The Prince and Princess of Wales’ family plans to move from Adelaide Cottage in Windsor to the nearby Forest Lodge in the coming weeks, upgrading from the four-bedroom abode to the eight-bedroom home on the Windsor Great Park estate.

The relocation serves as a fresh start for the family, who have endured a trying few years since moving to Adelaide Cottage in August 2022. Following that transition, the royal family mourned the loss of William’s grandmother Queen Elizabeth, as well as Kate and King Charles’ dual cancer diagnoses.

[From People]

“I can’t support my husband’s busywork scheme because I’m organizing our move into our fifth forever home which includes a 150-acre land grab of a public park” is quite an excuse. Granted, I acknowledge that much of this isn’t even Kate’s choice. While I doubt she wants to go to any Earthshot events, William absolutely does not want her there. That goes back to all of those suspicious stories in 2023, about how we would see William stepping out solo more often, and how he acts like a hot divorced dad or something. They were hyping up Solo/Single William a lot in the months before Kate’s mysterious hospitalization in January 2024.

Cardiologist shares which Indian sweets to skip and which to pick this Diwali 2025: ‘Market boondi laddu vs homemade…’

by jummy84 October 19, 2025
written by jummy84

Come Diwali, and Indian households start overflowing with sweets, snacks and chocolates during the five-day festivities, as people exchange gifts and families prepare feasts for everyone to enjoy. Some of the most common Indian sweets and desserts found in homes are laddu, chocolate boxes, soan papdi, and barfi.

In an Instagram post shared on October 15, Dr Alok Chopra, a cardiologist and functional medicine expert, MD, MBBS, listed down some of the common Diwali sweets and desserts that you should avoid, and provided healthy alternatives to each dish. Let’s find out what the doctor suggested.

Which Indian sweet to pick and drop this Diwali?

Sharing the list of Indian sweets you should ditch and which you should pick, Dr Alok Chopra wrote, “This Diwali, redefine indulgence. Health isn’t about cutting joy — it’s about choosing better joy. From A2 ghee laddus to antioxidant hampers, let your celebrations reflect true abundance — inside and out.”

This Diwali, try these suggestions provided by a cardiologist:

1. Market boondi laddu vs homemade besan laddu

Instead of the boondi laddu available in the market, which is made with refined sugar, cheap oil, and synthetic colour (there is approximately 700 g of sugar present in a kg of laddu), choose homemade besan laddus made with A2 ghee and organic jaggery

2. Packaged soan papdi or barfi boxes vs pistachio and rose coconut bites

Every year, during Diwali, every Indian household gets at least a box of soan papdi or barfi, and these sweets are full of refined sugar. Therefore, the cardiologist suggests enjoying pistachio and rose coconut bites made with date purée instead of these Indian sweets.

3. Deep-fried namkeen vs roasted nut and seed mix

As you entertain guests at your home during Diwali festivities, you might end up serving them namkeen, which are deep-fried and full of preservatives. So, instead, try serving a roasted nut and seed mix, the cardiologist suggests.

4. Fancy gift hampers vs curated wellness baskets

For Diwali gifts, we often end up choosing fancy gift hampers which include wafers, chocolates, and packaged sweets, and they are not healthy options. Therefore, Dr Chopra suggests curating wellness baskets, instead, made with blueberries, avocado, dragon fruit, and dark chocolate (85%).

One Piece filler list: Every filler episode you can skip

One Piece filler list: Every filler episode you can skip

by jummy84 October 1, 2025
written by jummy84

You’d think such a story wouldn’t take over 26 years and 1140-something episodes to finish, but both the manga and anime cover a multitude of different stories as part of that overarching plot. In order to help widen the gaps between the manga and anime, though, the latter sometimes introduces filler episodes that are completely disconnected from the source material. These give the manga creators time to catch up, but we know there are plenty of fans who want nothing more than to skip them and just get to the core story.

To help give you the best watching experience of all of One Piece’s arcs to fit your preferences, we’ll take you through which anime episodes are filler and canon, what’s a mixture of the two, and where you can watch the whole series right now.

Which One Piece episodes are purely skippable filler?

After confirming reports by Crunchyroll and Anime Filler List, the complete list of One Piece episodes that are entirely skippable filler is as follows:

  • Episodes 54-60: Warship Island arc
  • Episodes 98-99: Arabasta arc
  • Episode 102: Arabasta arc
  • Episodes 131-135: Post-Arabasta arc
  • Episodes 136-138: Goat Island arc
  • Episodes 139-143: Ruluka Island arc
  • Episodes 196-206: G-8 arc
  • Episodes 220-225: Ocean’s Dream arc
  • Episodes 279-283: Enies Lobby Arc
  • Episodes 291-292: Enies Lobby Arc
  • Episode 303: Enies Lobby Arc
  • Episodes 317-319: Post-Enies Lobby Arc
  • Episodes 326-336: Ice Hunter arc
  • Episodes 382-384: Spa Island arc
  • Episodes 406-407: Boss Luffy arc
  • Episodes 426-429: Little East Blue arc
  • Episodes 457-458: Marineford arc
  • Episode 492: Post-War arc
  • Episode 542: Fish-Man Island arc
  • Episodes 575-578: Z’s Ambition arc
  • Episode 590: Punk Hazard arc
  • Episodes 626-627: Caesar’s Retrieval arc
  • Episodes 747-750: Silver Mine arc
  • Episodes 780-782: Marine Rookie arc
  • Episodes 895-896: Cidre Guild arc
  • Episode 907: Romance Dawn arc
  • Episodes 1029-1030: Uta arc

To clarify, we’re referring to ‘pure filler’ as in content that is entirely original to the anime and was not adapted from the manga whatsoever. These can either be add-ons to currently existing arcs, or arcs that are exclusive to the anime altogether.

For instance, episodes 131-143; the Post-Arabasta arc, Goat Island arc, and Ruluka Island arc; were stories that were not featured in manga at all — essentially adding more between the Alabasta and Jaya arcs.

Meanwhile, episodes 98-99 were extra inclusions to the Alabasta arc.

Of course, you’re free to try out watching some of the filler arcs if you wish, but the rule of thumb is that these are somewhat lower quality than the manga-faithful episodes. These One Piece episodes are 100 per cent skippable if you’re going for a viewing experience that follows the manga.

Which One Piece episodes are mixed canon & filler?

In anime like One Piece, mixed canon/filler episodes refer to those with a mix of both content that is still featured in the manga, but shares screen time with filler material as well.

As laid out by the hardworking team at Anime Filler List and double-confirmed by Radio Times, the complete list of One Piece episodes that are mixed canon & filler is as follows:

  • Episodes 45-47: Arlong Park & Buggy Side Story arcs
  • Episode 61: Warship Island arc
  • Episodes 68-69: Koby and Helmeppo arc
  • Episode 101: Alabasta arc
  • Episode 226: Foxy’s Return Arc
  • Episode 354: Thriller Bark arc
  • Episode 421: Amazon Lily arc
  • Episode 489: Marineford arc
  • Episode 520: Return to Sabaody arc
  • Episode 574: Fish-Man Island arc
  • Episode 625: Punk Hazard arc
  • Episode 628: Caesar Retrieval arc
  • Episode 633: Dressrosa arc
  • Episode 653: Dressrosa arc
  • Episode 657: Dressrosa arc
  • Episode 679: Dressrosa arc
  • Episode 690: Dressrosa arc
  • Episode 731: Dressrosa arc
  • Episode 738: Dressrosa arc
  • Episode 751: Zou Arc
  • Episodes 777-778: Zou Arc
  • Episode 789: Whole Cake Island arc
  • Episode 803: Whole Cake Island arc
  • Episodes 878-879: Reverie arc
  • Episodes 881-885: Reverie arc
  • Episodes 887-890: Reverie & Land of Wano Arc Act 1 arcs
  • Episode 924: Land of Wano Arc Act 3 arc
  • Episodes 988-989: Land of Wano Arc Act 3 arc
  • Episode 991: Land of Wano Arc Act 3

The general rule around these episodes is that they’re technically optional as well, but fit in nicely with the fully canon One Piece episodes, since they flesh out a bit more of the story in their respective arcs.

The exceptions might be those like episode 61, which is the conclusion of the entirely filler Warship Island arc — which might be confusing to those jumping straight in. Nevertheless, episodes like these are still a good bit of fun and are worth the additional tidbits of manga-faithful material.

Which One Piece episodes are completely canon?

After reconfirming the findings by Crunchyroll and Anime Filler List, we’ve found that the complete list of One Piece episodes that are entirely faithful to the manga is as follows:

Where to watch One Piece in the UK & US

All episodes of the One Piece anime are available to watch right now on Crunchyroll, both in the UK & US. UK viewers can also find the One Piece anime on Netflix.

If you’re in the UK and don’t feel like paying for a subscription, One Piece is also available to watch on BBC iPlayer. Keep in mind, however, that iPlayer only has access to the English dub, which has only covered up to episode 1088.

You also need to have a paid TV license in order to access the BBC iPlayer service.

In the US, the One Piece anime is also available to watch via streaming services like Netflix & Hulu, but they are regularly behind Crunchyroll in terms of current episodes as well.

Skip Bayless, Fox Sports Settle Sexual Battery & Retaliation Suit

by jummy84 September 2, 2025
written by jummy84

UPDATE: Eight months after a former Fox Sports hairstylist accused Skip Bayless of repeatedly pressuring her into having sex with him for over a million dollars, the plaintiff, the ex-Undisputed host and Fox Sports have reached a deal.

A request for dismissal by Noushin Faraji was approved on August 28 after initially being filed earlier that month. As usual in such sexual battery and retaliation cases, no details on the settlement were provided – but you can be sure money changed hands.

As for Fox themselves, the Murdoch-owned company kept it short. “We are pleased that this matter has been resolved. There will be no further comment.”

PREVIOUSLY, JAN 6 PM: Skip Bayless and Fox Sports are reunited, though not in a way either party would have hoped for.

The former Undisputed host and the network division run by Erik Shanks and Mark Silverman have been hit with a jury-seeking complaint claiming Bayless propositioned a hairstylist at Fox Sports with $1.5 million if she would have sex with him.

Characterizing Fox Sports as den of iniquity, the 14-claim lawsuit filed January 3 in Los Angeles Superior Court also alleges that Bayless repeatedly tried to “pressure” plaintiff Noushin Faraji “into having sex with him.”

“Ms. Faraji brings forth this action because for over a decade at Fox, she was forced to endure a misogynistic, racist, and ableist workplace where executives and talent were allowed to physically and verbally abuse workers with impunity,” reads the suit that claims sexual battery, retaliation, hostile work environment and fraudulent business practices.

Read the sexual battery and 13 other claims against Skip Bayless, Fox Sports, Joy Taylor and others here.

In tones and terms familiar to those who have read past lawsuits involving sexual harassment and more that Fox entities and executives have been slapped with over the past decade, the potential class action adds: “When Ms. Faraji and others came forward to report the wrongdoing, instead of addressing their concerns, Fox retaliated against them while the perpetrators and those who protected them were inexplicitly promoted. This case thus represents yet another in a long line of cases chronicling the toxic culture at Fox, marked by bad faith promises and repeated failures to address a poisonous and entrenched patriarchy.”

Detailing the July 2021 occurrence in which Bayless is alleged to have offered Faraji that $1.5 million to sleep with him, the suit then damningly says: “Approximately one week later, Mr. Bayless made another advance at Ms. Faraji. Ms. Faraji responded: ‘Skip, stop, you have a wife.’ Mr. Bayless responded: ‘Aren’t you Muslim? Doesn’t your dad have three to four wives?’ Ms. Faraji responded that her father was dead, and when Mr. Bayless looked taken aback, she made an excuse to leave.”

Faraji claims that in 2024 Bayless said to her while she was giving him a haircut that “he fantasizes about having sex with her and asked how much money it would take for her to have sex with him. Bayless supposedly went on to say: “The more you say no the more I want you.”

Bayless is also alleged to have accused Faraji of having a sexual relationship with Bayless’ then co-host and “archrival” Shannon Sharpe, an allegation Faraji says was totally false. Sharpe on his and Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson’s Nightcap podcast Sunday briefly addressed being mentioned in the actions by saying, “That ain’t got nothing to do with me.”

Following several tense on-air exchanges between Bayless and Sharpe, the latter jumped to ESPN in June 2023. In August 2024, ex-ESPN host Bayless was pink-slipped by FS1 after eight years. Both sides painted that departure in rosy terms, but declining ratings and then the cancellation of Undisputed were said to be a major issue – as Faraji notes in her suit. Not long after Bayless’ exit, Faraji herself was fired from FS1 “by removing her from the schedule entirely, using fabricated business necessities as a pretext,” the lawsuit says.

“We take these allegations seriously and have no further comment at this time given this pending litigation,” a Fox spokesperson told Deadline today. Reps for Bayless did not respond to a request for comment from Deadline. If they do, this post will be updated.

Truth is, with current Fox Sports host Joy Taylor and FS1 Content VP Charlie Dixon named as defendants in the suit, as well as Bayless and a number of Fox Sports corporate entities, Fox better take this allegations seriously.

In her 42-page suit by attorneys Rana Ayazi and Devin Abney, Faraji says Taylor did nothing to help her and actually told her to “get over it” after Dixon allegedly groped the hair stylist at a 2017 birthday party the on-air star was hosting. In fact, along with office intrigue (to put it politely) and an alleged affair between Taylor and Dixon and the power plays over women the VP seemed to be making at FS1, Speak co-host Taylor became “romantically involved” with FS1 colleague Emmanuel Acho in 2020, according to Faraji – a relationship she found FS1 superiors asking her about over and over.

All of which, along with Faraji calling out Fox for ”Labor Code violations” and “unfair, unlawful, and fraudulent business practices” when it comes to pay, finds the plaintiff seeking class action certification, a variety of unspecified damages, and Taylor and Dixon to be fired.

As the filing says:

At this point, Ms. Faraji seeks justice. She knows that Mr. Dixon used his position of power to coerce women into having sex with him and used it as justification to grope Ms. Faraji. She knows that Mr. Dixon did not immediately fire her (after Ms. Taylor and Ms. Faraji had a falling out) only to appease Mr. Bayless by providing him with a plaything. Despite Ms. Faraji being an excellent hairdresser and continuously being requested by talent, she was shrunken down to how much she could appease Mr. Bayless, and once Mr. Bayless was gone, so was her job.

After the suit became public, a number of associates of Bayless and others chimed in, among those who Bayless’ former First Take partner Stephen A. Smith.

“The Skip Bayless I know has a hard time giving away $15, he’s one of the cheapest people I know,” the discerning NBA sports commentator and cultural icon noted on his podcast Monday. “That’s just me. But that doesn’t mean that I have any inside knowledge about any of this, I don’t, I don’t, and I’m not going to get involved.”

Smith went on to say: “I know Skip, and I’m very, very heartbroken that he finds himself in this situation, being accused of these allegations. But I can’t be over the airways being irresponsible and attaching truth or innocent, you know, or guilt to anything that I know nothing about. All I can say, and I don’t think it’s a crime to say, is just like I said with Jay-Z. The person that I’ve known for 25 years. I’ve never seen anything like that from that person, anything close to that from that person. That’s the same thing that I would tell you about Skip Bayless.”

Jay-Z has been accused of raping a 13-year-old girl at a MTV VMAs party in 2000 with the much accused and currently incarcerated Sean “Diddy” Combs and a yet unnamed female “Celebrity B.” The rap superstar, real name Shawn Carter, has vehemently denied the claims and has his lawyer Alex Spiro trying a swath of tactics to get the charges dismissed.

Bad Boy Records founder Combs was arrested September 16 on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. Already behind bars at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center and denied bail, Combs’ trial is set to start May 5 next year.

From blue light to UVA rays: Dermatologist shares 6 reasons you shouldn’t skip sunscreen indoors | Health

by jummy84 August 20, 2025
written by jummy84

Sunscreen is often seen as an outdoor essential, but did you know your skin needs its protection even when you’re indoors? In an interview with HT Lifestyle, Dr. Ruben Bhasin Passi, consultant, dermatologist, CK Birla Hospital Gurugram said, “Very few people understand that even when indoors, their skin requires protection. Sunscreen is not only meant for the beach or sunny weather; it’s an everyday item, wherever you go.” Also read | Is your sunscreen safe or ageing your skin faster? Watch out for these hidden irritants linked to skin damage

Wear sunscreen even while indoors.(Pexels)

1. UV rays can travel through windows

Glass will filter out UVB rays, but UVA rays, which travel deeper into the skin, will penetrate. Indoor exposure to UVA can also lead to premature ageing, wrinkles, and pigmentation. Sitting near a sunny window at work or driving can add immensely to your UVA exposure.

2. Blue light from screens affects skin

We sit for hours in front of laptops, smartphones, and tablets. These output high-energy visible (HEV) blue light, which can cause skin damage, pigmentation, and premature aging over the long term. A broad-spectrum sunscreen with built-in blue light protection can assist.

3. Cumulative sun damage adds up

Sun damage isn’t just about the occasional sunburn, it’s the steady build-up of daily exposure that contributes to skin problems down the line. Putting on sunscreen indoors guarantees even protection, keeping damage from silently piling up over time.

4. Indoor lighting can cause skin damage

Some halogen and fluorescent lights produce minor levels of UV radiation. Although less strong than sunlight, repeated exposure in home or office settings can still have an effect on skin health, particularly in individuals who are susceptible to pigmentation. Also read | Most people use sunscreen wrong. Are you one of them? Ladakh to Delhi, here are skincare tips for different altitudes

5. Prevention is easier than repair

Treating sun damage, whether it’s fine lines, dark spots, or uneven skin tone, often requires expensive and time-consuming procedures. Daily sunscreen use is a simple, cost-effective preventive measure that protects your skin’s health and appearance.

6. It supports skin treatments

If you’re undergoing skin treatments like chemical peels, laser therapy, or acne management, sunscreen is crucial, even indoors. Without it, the results can be compromised, and post-treatment pigmentation can occur. Also read | World Sunscreen Day: Everything you need to know about how sunblock works, from ideal SPF range to UV protection

“Select a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or greater, put it on as the final step of your morning skin care routine, and reapply every 2–3 hours if you are in front of windows or using devices for extended periods of time. Your skin will appreciate it in the years ahead,” Dr. Ruben Bhasin Passi added.
