For Kailash Kher, music has always been about more than melody. It has been about meaning. And with his latest release Bharatiya Sena, the singer-songwriter has turned his voice towards celebrating the might of the Indian armed forces.

Released on Saturday, the track stands apart from most patriotic songs. Instead of focusing on sacrifice and loss, the 52-year-old chose to highlight the strength, courage, and valour of India’s military. “I didn’t want to talk about the pain or the sacrifice this time. I wanted to bring out the power and the confidence that the Indian Army embodies, something the world is noticing today,” he says.

The project, which took over three months to produce, carries weight not only because of its theme but also because of the voices featured in it. The song includes spoken lines by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, lending it an added layer of authority and resonance. A video accompanying the song brings alive the scale and spirit of the armed forces that Kailash sought to capture.

Interestingly, this was not a song born out of personal whim. The Teri Deewani singer reveals that the idea came directly from the government. “The ministry approached me and asked if I could create something that celebrates the strength of our armed forces. For me, this was both a privilege and a responsibility,” he explains.

Known for his distinctive voice and deep-rooted connection to Indian traditions, Kailash says he approached Bharatiya Sena with the same sincerity that has marked his career. “Every note had to feel authentic. I wanted it to be a song that fills people with pride, the same way a soldier’s march fills the air with power,” he says.

As the song makes its way to listeners, Kailash hopes it does more than stir patriotic fervour. “This is about respect. Respect for the men and women who stand guard, and for the spirit of India that shines through them,” he says.

“What a disgusting and vile person he is! He did not even feel ashamed in front of so much public while doing such a despicable act. Aren’t you ashamed, @PawanSingh909? Anjali Raghav, feeling so uncomfortable, yet she is not slapping on the stage,” tweeted another social media user. “People like Pawan Singh defame the entire Bhojpuri community. They are unaware of how many young people influenced by them are going down the wrong path. It is a matter of shame,” tweeted another person.

Pawan’s past controversies

This is not the first time Pawan has found himself in the midst of controversy. A few years back, he faced charges for allegedly defaming actor Akshara Singh and sharing ‘vulgar’ photos and videos of her online. Reports indicate that an FIR was filed in connection with the case.

According to a DNA report, she chose to end their friendship after his marriage in March 2018. However, he was unwilling to let go and allegedly pressured her to maintain contact. Akshara further claimed that he threatened to ruin her career in the industry, and even went as far as allegedly threatening to kill her.

The search for India’s most desirable men spotlighted in a dazzling celebration as Mr India 2025 Season 2, in association with Vivz Fashion School, announced its new winners at the One8 Commune, Lower Parel, Mumbai. The high-octane evening marked a defining moment in India’s beauty and fashion calendar, unveiling three exceptional titleholders who will carry India’s name with pride on global and national platforms:

In a compelling showcase of confidence, charisma, and competence, the contest announced:

  • Shevam Singh as Mr India World 2025 – who will represent India at the next  Mr World.

  • Abel  Biju as Mr India Supranational 2026 – who will represent India at Mister Supranational 2026 likely to be held in Poland. 

  • Shiv Chordia Mr India Rising Star 2025 – a new title honouring a talent who not only conquers the runway and big screens but also embodies academic excellence, leadership, and social purpose.

True to its vision of discovering multi-faceted talents, Mr India has consistently catalysed career growth, personality development, and international opportunities. A springboard to a million dreams, it has served as a launchpad for men who have stood tall on global stages, representing India with pride, inspiring millions, and carving stellar careers in the fashion and entertainment circuit. Mr India World 2025 Shevam Singh: From the banks of the Ganges and carrying the pride of Patna, Shevam Singh comes from a humble middle-class family where values, discipline, and education were non-negotiable. Raised with a strong foundation of humility and hard work, he is determined, adaptable, and grounded. He believes that consistent effort is more powerful than raw talent, especially when talent lacks discipline.

Travel, fitness, public speaking and travelling have shaped his personality; he likes to explore different possibilities and make the most of it. Beyond the runway, Shevam is deeply passionate about social causes, particularly education accessibility for underprivileged children and animal welfare. Coming from the Cultural Heartbeat of Maharashtra, Pune, Shiv Chordia is a true all-rounder. He has won a state-level tabla competition, excelled in state-level tennis, and was crowned winner of a prestigious Pune pageant. Growing up in a household with four generations under one roof, he gained a deep understanding of values, experiences, and business through enriching dinner-table conversations. His calm and grounded nature is nurtured by the spiritual environment he is actively involved.

Abundantia Entertainment and Collective Media Network’s Historyverse announced an AI-generated film based on the lore of Lord Hanuman titled Chianjeevi Hanuman—The Eternal. The film has been touted as a first-of-its-kind ‘Made-In-AI’ and ‘Made-In-India’ feature film for theatrical release. Actor Ranveer Singh has now extended his support for the project, backing one of the film’s producers, Vijay Subramaniam on Instagram. Ranveer commented on the joint Instagram post of Abundantia Entertainment, where he shared the announcement. The post also included Vijay’s Instagram account, which Ranveer follows. The caption read, “Proud and honoured to bring the timeless story of ‘Chiranjeevi Hanuman – The Eternal’, to theatres, in a first-of-its-kind, ‘Made-In-AI’, ‘Made-In-India’ avatar. With deep reverence for our culture, heritage and history, we are set to release this innovative spectacle in theatres on Hanuman Jayanti 2026.”

Fans of the actor were not impressed with him openly supporting an AI-generated film. One wrote, “It’s AI. One day, they’ll make a movie without you using AI. Why are you supporting this lack of creativity?” Another said, “What’s waah about this bro? Isn’t it disrespectful to real artists?” A comment read, “As a part of the cinema industry and actor with a huge reach, the least you can do is boycott the use of AI in the creative industries and promote actual screenwriters.”

Vijay’s statement

In a statement released to the press, Vijay Subramaniam, Founder and group CEO of Collective Artists Network, said, “With this film, we have the extraordinary opportunity to reimagine cultural storytelling for an audience that cherishes both tradition and innovation. Our approach is rooted in authenticity and cultural stewardship, ensuring complete transparency about the role of AI in the creative process.”

Director Anurag Kashyap lashed out at Vijay for backing an AI-generated film while heading an artists’ agency. A part of his note on Instagram read, “This right here is the future for the spineless and cowardly so called artists in the Hindi Film industry. Well done Vijay Subramaniam. Shame is not enough on you. You should be in the gutter.” Vikaramaditya Motwane also called out the makers, and said, “And so it begins… Who TF needs writers and directors when its ‘Made in AI’.”

On the work front, Ranveer will next be seen in Dhurandhar, which will be released in theatres later this year in December.
