Sick New World Fest Reborn In Vegas, Fort Worth

by jummy84 October 22, 2025
written by jummy84

After taking 2025 off due to issues related to its lineup, the hard rock festival extravaganza Sick New World will be back with two editions next year. The first will be held at the event’s customary home of Las Vegas Festival Grounds on April 25, while an inaugural Texas version is set for Oct. 24 at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth.

System of a Down will top the bill in both cities. Other acts appearing at one or both stops are Deftones, Korn, Slayer (performing Reign in Blood), Bring Me the Horizon, Evanescence, the Prodigy, Knocked Loose, AFI, Mastodon, Ministry, Power Trip, Failure, Filter, Melvins, Acid Bath, Danny Elfman, KMFDM, Coal Chamber and Clutch.

Since launching in 2023, Sick New World has hosted some of the only System of a Down performances in the past five years and has elevated both new and cult classic acts in the hard rock genre. “I had more fun there than I had on many, many other tours, and that’s why we’re doing it again,” frontman Serj Tankian told SPIN after the inaugural edition. “It was a blast. We rehearsed just enough to know our chops and then the rest, who the fuck knows? Let’s see what happens on stage.”

Sick New World was set to return to Las Vegas this April with Metallica and Linkin Park, but the event was scrapped in December 2024 due to “unforeseen circumstances” that promoter Live Nation was “unable to overcome.” According to HITS Daily Double, the event ran into trouble in part due to its former booker, Jeffrey Shuman, overpaying for talent, with the two headliners allegedly pocketing $5 million each.

Neil Young was "really sick", "drained" and "bummed out" before forming Chrome Hearts

Neil Young was “really sick”, “drained” and “bummed out” before forming Chrome Hearts

by jummy84 October 20, 2025
written by jummy84

Neil Young was reportedly feeling “really sick” and “drained” before he formed the Chrome Hearts, according to a bandmate.

The comments were shared by Micah Nelson, who is a longtime bandmate of Young, and played with him in Promise of The Real and Crazy Horse before joining him in as part of the Chrome Hearts.

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Nelson – who is also the son of country icon Willie Nelson – revealed that the ‘Harvest Moon’ singer was going through a rough patch towards the end of 2024, and seemed to be taking a step back from music.

This was due to his tour with Crazy Horse being halted due to a number of health issues among members.

Sharing how it took a toll on the frontman, Nelson shared: “I knew how bummed out Neil was. He wasn’t feeling like making music. He was really sick. He was trying to get over that and just get his energy back.

“Then he was really bummed out about what happened and how it all went down. And that just kind of drained him a lot, and doused this flame. I was like: ‘Is Neil fading away? This is unacceptable’.”

The musician then shared with RS that he was adamant to rekindle Young’s love of music and encourage him to pursue a new project – ultimately helping lead to the formation of the Chrome Hearts.

“I’d call him a lot and check in on him and remind him how he’s not old,” he told the outlet. “I was like: ‘Do whatever you got to do, man. Take your time. I get it. Recharge. The tank has got to fill back up, and that can take time, but whenever you want to do the thing again, just call me up and I’m ready to go’.”

“I kept that idea going and reminding him that he didn’t play for four years, and he felt the rust,” Nelson continued. “And then it took a few years once he started again to really, really get back in the groove.”

The Chrome Hearts would later form with Nelson, and Young’s Promise of the Real bandmates Corey McCormick and Anthony LoGerfo. Organ player Spooner Oldham completed the line-up and they went on tour earlier this year – with dates including a headline slot at Glastonbury.

“It took a minute of sort of just micro-dosing with this idea of: ‘We don’t have to stop. I know you’re not done’,” Nelson concluded. “Then the natural organic process of seasons of inspiration, how they come around. But I was just planting those seeds so that when that started coming around, he had something to pick out of the ground and harvest… That’s what became the Chrome Hearts. It just feels right.”

Young’s headline slot at Glastonbury was given a four-star review, and described by NME as “a headline set that proves that sometimes, there’s still power to be found in an old-school approach.

“It is, in short, the definition of no frills,” it read. “It’s testament to the power of Young’s songwriting, then, just how brilliantly it all works, how little the momentum drops.”

Since then, the singer-songwriter has announced a 50th-anniversary re-release of his 1975 album ‘Tonight’s The Night’ and announced that he was removing his music from Amazon Music.

“The time is here. FORGET AMAZON,” he said, announcing the latter. “Soon, my music will not be there. It is easy to buy local. Support your community. Go to the local store. Don’t go back to the big corporations who have sold out America.”

What’s Going on With Rachael Ray? How She’s Doing Amid ‘Sick’ Rumors – Hollywood Life

Rachael Ray has steadily made her way back into the television spotlight recently, but rumors have swirled around her lifestyle and health after she slurred her words in a September 2024 video. The clip sparked concern among fans and, according to one report, her inner circle. Now that she joined Drew Barrymore for a talk show return, fans are wondering what Rachael is up to today.

Hollywood Life has the latest update on what Rachael’s been up to below.

Where Has Rachael Ray Been? Inside Her Life Now

The Food Network alum is still in the public eye. Most recently, Rachael visited The Drew Barrymore Show to cook alongside the talk show host and actress in an upcoming October 2025 episode. Not only that, but Rachael also came to New York City to co-host the Blue Moon Burger Bash 2.0 with Brooklyn Beckham at the New York Wine & Food Festival later Friday.

Is Rachael Ray Sick?

No, Rachael has not revealed any major health issues or illnesses recently. However, she did suffer from a “couple of bad falls” while carrying wood for a fire, she said in October 2024, which temporarily restrained her from a few physical abilities.

Nevertheless, Daily Mail reported in May 2025 that Rachael’s inner circle was “concerned” about her after a late 2024 video of her slurring her speech raised eyebrows.

“Those close to Rachael are so concerned,” a source told the outlet. “She has shut people out and lives a very secluded life.”

Is Rachael Ray Still Married to Her Husband?

Yes, Rachael is still married to her husband, John Cusimano. The couple wed in 2005 and have been together since.

In October 2025, Rachael gave fans an update about her and John’s marriage during an interview with Us Weekly. She quipped that he enjoys New York City more than she does.

“My husband loves being in New York. And I tell him, ‘Hey, go as often as you like, stay as long as you want,’” Rachael told the outlet. “I come to New York and upstate New York when I have work, I prefer Italy. It’s quiet. The dog is much happier. She hates New York City. Bella is not a New Yorker at all. So, for the dog’s sake, I spend as much time [in Italy] as I can. She has a swimming pool and 66 hectares to run around on, and everything is very quiet, and the air is very fresh, and we have huge gardens and a vineyard and olive trees, and I just prefer that life.”

'I Was Sick, Not Off-Key': Dhvani Bhanushali Clears Air On Auto-Tune Drama

‘I Was Sick, Not Off-Key’: Dhvani Bhanushali Clears Air On Auto-Tune Drama

by jummy84 October 11, 2025
written by jummy84

Pop sensation Dhvani Bhanushali, known for massive chartbusters like “Dilbar,” “Vaaste,” and others, recently opened up about the heavy criticism she faced in 2022 following a viral video. The clip, which circulated widely online, showed filmmaker Farah Khan abruptly stopping Dhvani’s performance mid-song. The internet quickly seized on the moment, with many accusing the singer of being overly reliant on auto-tune.

In a candid recent interview with Hauterrfly, Dhvani clarified the truth behind the controversial moment, addressed the persistent trolling, and revealed that Farah Khan later apologized to her for the public misunderstanding.

Clarifying the Viral IIFA Moment

Recounting the specific incident, which took place during an IIFA event, Dhvani explained the extenuating circumstances. “The whole thing happened when I was insanely sick,” she stated. “I was four Dolos down (fever tablets). I don’t know why I even sang that day, and it wasn’t even that bad.”

She then dropped a significant detail about the video’s editing: “Kisi gadhe ne uspe auto-tune daal diya kuch galat (some fool added wrong auto-tune to it). It’s modified at a lot of places — they purposely made it worse.”

While acknowledging the performance wasn’t her best—given her illness and low moment—Dhvani believes the public reaction was fueled by deliberate manipulation. She shared her philosophical take on the situation: “They uploaded it and laughed at me, and I thought, ‘haan theek hai yaar, at least tu mere naam pe apne aap ko bech raha hai (fine, at least you’re selling yourself using my name).’”

Farah Khan Apologized for the Fiasco

The video clip that ignited the controversy showed Dhvani singing her hit “Vaaste.” When Farah Khan stopped her, Dhvani simply responded, “Okay, chup hojaati hun” (I’ll keep quiet now). Farah then took the mic and made a comment about singers not using auto-tune, which many internet users interpreted as a direct dig at Dhvani’s vocals.

Dhvani revealed that the director later reached out to express her regret. “Farah ma’am came to me and said, ‘Beta, I’m sorry.’” Dhvani felt Farah had anticipated how the moment would be picked up and twisted by trolls.

Crucially, Dhvani holds no ill will toward the filmmaker. “I never blamed her for it. It wasn’t her fault, nor was it mine.” She emphasized their friendly relationship, noting that she immediately invited Farah to party with her that night. Later, they met again, and Farah kindly agreed to film a fun video with the singer.

Dealing with Trolls and Her Career

When discussing how she handles the constant barrage of trolls who accuse her of using auto-tune, Dhvani adopted a pragmatic approach. She stated that such negativity only boosts her visibility, effectively treating the online noise as free publicity. She also stressed that she still genuinely enjoys her interactions with Farah Khan despite the infamous incident.

Dhvani Bhanushali made her Bollywood playback debut with “Ishtehaar” from Welcome To New York. Her career quickly accelerated with hits like “Dilbar” (Satyameva Jayate) and “Duniya” (Luka Chuppi). Her breakthrough 2019 single, “Vaaste,” made her the youngest and fastest Indian pop star to surpass 1 billion views on YouTube, solidifying her status as a leading voice in Indian pop music.

In 2024, Dhvani made her acting debut in the film Kahan Shuru Kahan Khatam, though the film received mixed reviews and underperformed commercially.

Bob Vylan call out Keir Starmer and “BBC’s lies” on defiant new single ‘Sick Sad World’

by jummy84 October 10, 2025
written by jummy84

Bob Vylan have released a first new single, ‘Sick Sad World’, taking aim at Keir Starmer and the “BBC’s lies”.

  • READ MORE: Bob Vylan: “We’ve been screaming about these topics at the top of our lungs for years. Why has it taken this long?”

The track is the duo’s first release since last year’s album ‘Humble As The Sun’, but it’s also the first song they’ve put out since their controversial Glastonbury 2025 performance, in which vocalist Bobby Vylan lead the crowd in chants of “death, death to the IDF [Israel Defence Forces]”.

The upbeat punk track sees the duo zero in on the state of the nation in 2025. “Keir’s smiling on the news, as if everything is fine/There’s a major malfunction, how’s this whole thing wired?/I got some priors on my name, they said I can’t get hired/I watch the BBC’s liеs, think I’m losing my mind/Hooray, it’s 2025, get a job in the mines,” Vylan raps.

“As many of you are aware, we have been busy recently but we never forgot about the music,” the band wrote on Instagram. “You can support Bob Vylan directly by purchasing the track on Bandcamp (link in bio). Enjoy, and much love, The Bobs. And don’t forget, tour starts in 3 weeks.”

Check out ‘Sick Sad World’ below:

In response to the Glastonbury controversy, the band clarified that they are “not for the death of Jews or Arabs or any other race or group”. In a statement, Glastonbury organisers said they were “appalled by the statements made from the West Holts stage by Bob Vylan”.

As well as being dropped by their agency, Bob Vylan have had their US visas revoked and are currently under criminal investigation over the performance. They were also removed from their headline spot at Manchester’s Radar Festival in July after pressure from venue owners AMG and Live Nation and more bands dropped out in solidarity.

In other Bob Vylan news, an upcoming gig in the Netherlands was cancelled earlier this month after frontman Bobby Vylan was accused of celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

The band are set to head out on tour soon – check out the full list of dates here, and get tickets here. However, following the  the Manchester synagogue attack last week, MPs and Jewish groups have called for their show at Manchester Academy to be cancelled.

bitchy | Amal Clooney tried to out-dazzle her sick husband at the Venice ‘Jay Kelly’ premiere

George Clooney arrived in Venice earlier this week, where he was set to promote and premiere his new film, Jay Kelly. On Thursday, George was supposed to do the press conference and some individual interviews, but he ended up pulling out of all of it because he was feeling under the weather. They’re saying it’s a sinus infection, but I kind of wonder if he was suffering from the Don’t-Ask-Me-Political-Questions virus. His ratf–king with Jake Tapper blew up in his face, and while the international media might not care or ask, the American media might. Still, George “rallied” in time to walk the red carpet with Amal. He apparently told reporters that he can’t hear anything (convenient) and he was seen clutching his sore throat at times.

Amal looked… okay. While I love this vivid violet shade, I’ve never been into Amal’s love of mullet dresses. The train was very dramatic though, and the whole ensemble photographed very well, even if it’s a dated, button-covered disaster once you look at the details. In George and Amal’s early years, I loved her hair, and she regularly got really great blowouts back in the day. But in recent years, she’s been having a lot of bad hair days. Her hair is too long and it looks damaged and in need of some good conditioning treatments. Her colorist is also doing a terrible job! Update: I just saw the ID for Amal’s dress, it’s a vintage Jean-Louis Scherrer by Erik Mortensen. I honestly thought it was a custom Giambattista Valli.

Meanwhile, I was fully prepared to hate on this movie because of George Clooney, little did I know that my nemesis Laura Dern is also in Jay Kelly! LMAO, I hope this sh-t bombs so hard. Her bangs are trash!! (Her Armani is okay-ish although it looks unfinished.)

Eve Hewson in Schiaparelli – I kind of like this, and I usually roll my eyes at Schiaparelli.

Riley Keough in Chloé – it looks like something she would wear.

And finally, Greta Gerwig (her husband/partner Noah Baumbach directed Jay Kelly). This is custom Rodarte. Not bad.
