Teen Party Ends With 9 Injured After Shots Fired

by jummy84 November 3, 2025

What was supposed to be a night of fun, music, and celebration quickly spiraled into panic and heartbreak. A social media–promoted birthday party took a terrifying turn early Sunday morning — leaving a trail of chaos, injuries, and unanswered questions in Bath Township, Ohio.

Birthday Bash Turns Chaotic After Gunfire Erupts

According to officials, the shooting broke out around 12:15 a.m. at a massive rental home in Bath Township, Ohio — about 15 miles outside of Akron. Teenagers had packed the property for what was billed online as “the party of the weekend”, but moments later, gunfire sent guests running for cover. When first responders arrived, they found multiple victims and a chaotic scene as paramedics worked desperately to save lives.

Nine Hurt As Illegal Airbnb Party Sparks Investigation

Bath Township Police Chief Vito Sinopoli confirmed that nine people were injured during the incident. Though, it’s still unclear how many were shot. At least one victim may have been hurt while fleeing. Most attendees were reportedly under 18, and investigators say the home had been rented through Airbnb — a direct violation of local zoning laws that prohibit short-term rentals in the area. Police haven’t released details about potential suspects or what sparked the shooting. However, they did confirm that no arrests have been made.

In a statement to the media, Airbnb expressed heartbreak over the violence. Besides cooperating with police, they also suspended the property listing and banned the renter’s account. The company highlighted its ongoing global ban on parties, which it claims has led to a 50% drop in unauthorized gatherings since 2020. “We are heartbroken by this senseless act of gun violence,” Airbnb said. “Our thoughts are with the injured victims and all those affected.”

Ohio Community Shaken As History Repeats Itself

This isn’t the first time Bath Township has seen violence tied to an Airbnb property. Back in 2017, another shooting at a rental home left one person wounded. Chief Sinopoli called Sunday’s incident a grim reminder that “no community is immune from violence.” As investigators continue to piece together what happened, one thing is clear — what started as a night of celebration has left an entire community shaken and searching for answers.

Shots heard around the world: The wonder that was the West Indies

by jummy84 October 25, 2025
written by jummy84

Michael Manley, Jamaica’s prime minister from 1989 to 1992, and the son of the country’s first premier Norman Manley, was, like most West Indians, an ardent cricket fan and a student of the game. His painstaking work, A History of West Indies Cricket — written in 1987 (when the Caribbean islands enjoyed a decade of dominance that world cricket, world sport, or world anything, had rarely seen before); and revised in 1994 (soon after Brian Lara changed batting records forever with his singular hunger for runs) — has been a majestic constituent of my personal library for over two decades.

It wasn’t what they did but how they did it, breaking barriers in every country they visited. (Above) The legend Vivian Richards, and fast-bowler Joel Garner. (Getty Images)

This month, the meek capitulation of the once-mighty West Indies — they entered India almost unnoticed for a one-sided two-Test series nestled between a deeply political Asia Cup in Dubai and a fiercely marketed one-day series against Australia — prompted me to pick up the volume. For, if you are a cricket follower of my vintage, the West Indies story remains the crescendo in the symphony that is world cricket.

The goosebumps came as early as the dedication page:

“To Learie Constantine who opened the door of international cricket.

To George Headley who entered the building with such style.

To Frank Worrell who showed it could be occupied with distinction.

To Clive Lloyd who very nearly took permanent possession.

And, of course, to Garfield Sobers who dazzled all who dwelt therein with the range of his talents.”

The names are important: Constantine was Trinidadian, Headley and Worrell were Jamaicans, Lloyd is Guyanese, and Sir Garry was from Barbados. Together they are a symbol of unity and a common Caribbean identity that could likely never have been established without cricket.

Juggle these players with those whose exploits are celebrated in the pages that follow (Everton Weekes and Clyde Walcott; Rohan Kanhai; Vivian Richards; Michael Holding, Malcolm Marshall, Joel Garner and Andy Roberts; Gordon Greenidge and Desmond Haynes; Curtly Ambrose and Courtney Walsh) and the pulse quickens.

It takes the mind back to a heady mix of race, revolution, art, music and colour — green, for the land itself; yellow, for the gold that was stripped; red, for the blood that was shed — that gave West Indies cricket its power and its glory. It brings back flashes of a time from the 1970s when students were marching on the streets, Bob Marley & The Wailers were composing tunes, and Viv Richards was walking in to bat, chewing gum.

It evokes memories of how a group of people, charged by this rare confluence of events, coalesced to enthral the world.

For, with a nod to CLR James, what do they know of West Indies cricket who only cricket know?

CHIMES OF FREEDOM

The Caribbean islands figure as tiny dots on the world map. From Jamaica in the west to Trinidad in the east to the northern coast of South America in Guyana, 15 nations that were once under British rule come together to form the West Indies cricket team. The name comes from Christopher Columbus’s great fallacy — he sailed west across the Atlantic in his quest to “discover” the Indies, which lay to his east across the Indian Ocean.

Cricket in the region gradually grew under the influence of British officers in the late 1700s and early 1800s, transformed into inter-colonial contests between the islands by the 1860s, led to the creation of an all-West Indies team in the 1890s, and eventually to Test status in 1928.

Respect, especially from cricket’s White overlords, was harder to earn. It should have come through the batting of George Headley in the 1929-30 home series against England (three centuries and a double) and an unbeaten 270 in Kingston in 1935 that gave West Indies its first innings win over its colonial masters.

But Headley was quickly dubbed the “Black Bradman” by British and Australian columnists. He was venerated, put on a pedestal as an anomaly, and used as the yardstick to measure all great West Indian batters of the future, including the “Three Ws” (Worrell, Weekes and Walcott) in the ’40s and ‘50s.

It took the arrival of the master-of-all-trades Sobers to change the paradigm.

There have been many great all-rounders through the ages but never has there been a cricketer as complete as Sobers. He batted at an average of over 57, grabbed 235 wickets in 93 Tests, transformed the art of close-in fielding, and carried himself with the air of a global statesman. It was a time when the Caribbean islands were gaining independence from British rule, and for a region in need of an ambassador, Sobers emerged as world cricket’s most influential figure of the 1960s. So much so that anyone who would come close to matching his all-round abilities later — Jacques Kallis is a notable contender — was likely to be called the “White Sobers”.

CRICKET, LOVELY CRICKET

And so, after the hunt for respectability in the 1930s and the quest for self-determination in the 1960s, West Indies was ready to dominate by the 1970s and ’80s. It came through the leadership of Lloyd, the brilliance of Richards, and the most fearsome and technically perfect pace battery (Andy Roberts, Colin Croft, Holding, Marshall and Garner) ever assembled before or since.

What West Indies cricket achieved in that era is unmatched, even by the Aussie Invincibles led by Bradman in the 1930s and captained by Steve Waugh and Ricky Ponting in the 2000s.

It wasn’t what they did but how they did it, breaking barriers in every country they visited.

Which is why watching the West Indies cricket teams of the present flounder repeatedly is a dagger through the heart. It’s as if the sport has lost its soul in the Caribbean, with no great mission or movement to fuel the passion anymore. Left behind in a haze of new-age computer analyses that offer mico-improvements on every front. Trailing in a new wave of professionalism its cricket establishment has been unable to embrace. Managing to barely stay afloat in the shorter formats and gasping in the ultimate test.

The once-mighty West Indies need to dig deeper and find something extra, if not from the present then from their glorious past. Michael Manley’s treatise may offer some reminders, like this one from calypsonian Lord Beginner about the first West Indies victory on English soil, in 1950:

“Cricket, lovely cricket

At Lord’s where I saw it

Yardley tried his best

But West Indies won the Test

With those little pals of mine

Ramadhin and Valentine.”

Shots fired at Kapil Sharma’s restaurant In Canada 3rd time in four months; Bishnoi gang takes responsibility

written by jummy84

Comedian Kapil Sharma’s cafe in Surrey, Canada, was attacked for the third time on Thursday when unidentified gunmen fired multiple shots at the restaurant. Kulvir Sidhu, reportedly linked to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s network, claimed responsibility in a viral social media post, warning the “general public” to stay away.

According to City News Vancouver, the Surrey Police Service is investigating reports of gunfire at Kap’s Café, located on 85 Avenue and 120 Street, around 3:45 am. Videos circulating online showed multiple bullets hitting the cafe’s walls and windows. A clip reportedly shot from inside a vehicle captured a man sticking his arm out of the window and firing at least half-a-dozen shots from a handgun. Staff were reportedly inside the café during the shooting, but no one was injured.

Kapil Sharma and his team have not yet issued a statement. Kap’s Café was previously targeted on July 9 and August 7. Shortly after Thursday’s shooting, a post attributed to Goldy Dhillon surfaced, stating, “Today’s firing at Kap’s Cafe, Surrey, was carried out by me, Kulvir Sidhu, and Goldy Dhillon. We hold no grudge against the general public. Those who owe us or cheat us will be warned. Bollywood individuals who speak against our religion should also be prepared, bullets can come from anywhere.”

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has reportedly targeted celebrities over the years, including actor Salman Khan, with attacks on his Galaxy Apartment last year. Kap’s Café is located in a mixed-use building in Surrey’s Newton area, with retail outlets on the ground floor and residential apartments above. Police cordoned off the site while collecting evidence, even as children played nearby at a local daycare, highlighting the danger posed to families and the public.

Cardi B Sends Shots Young Thug “On The News” Guest Verse

by jummy84 September 26, 2025
written by jummy84

Young Thug‘s highly anticipated UY SCUTI album has finally made landfall, and its feature verses are also making headlines. The 20-track body of work boasts appearances from names like Travis Scott, Mariah The Scientist, T.I., Ken Carson, Sexyy Red, Lil Baby, 21 Savage, and more, including a scathing verse from Cardi B on “On The News.”

Although her assist begins with general shots towards her counterparts, the disses get more specific as the bars go on. She pokes fun a someone’s man being too broke to afford a vacation and also make allegations of domestic abuse: “How you knowin’ when you got these b**ches laughin’?/ But how the f**k you laughin’ when I heard you gettin’ beat on?/ Gotta pay a n**ga way every trip y’all be on (Hah). I’m like, nah, that couldn’t be I/ That couldn’t be me, no, that couldn’t be C.” Listen below.

Many listeners automatically ran to the conclusion that Cardi was speaking about Nicki Minaj, her rap nemesis in recent years. The Barbz quickly worked to shut that notion down, but the debate raged on between the two fanbases.

UY SCUTI and its release date was a hot topic among Thugger fans over the last few months, as this marked the first full project since his release from jail on Oct. 31, 2024. Prior to that was BUSINESS IS BUSINESS, which dropped in 2023 while the YSL rapper was still behind bars facing his RICO case. Last week, the “Bad Bad Bad” rapper abruptly announced he was pushing back his original release date of Sept. 19, 2025, specifically to clear the way for Cardi B to have her moment to shine on that day with AM I THE DRAMA?.

The soon to be mother of four has been busy promoting her sophomore album, announcing a tour and hosting a string of meet and greets across the country. She even dropped a deluxe version today, which features a remix from Latto. Listen to the upgraded LP below and check out the chaos that ensued at Cardi’s meet and greets here.

Bill Maher Voices Support For Jimmy Kimmel, Takes Shots At ABC

by jummy84 September 20, 2025
written by jummy84

This week, Bill Maher walked out in front of his live audience to a standing ovation, as the Real Time with Bill Maher host addressed ABC‘s suspension of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, comparing it to his own cancellation over two decades ago by the same network.

“I know why you’re happy tonight: I’m still on,” the late-night host said before beginning his monologue.

Maher continued, “Talk show hosts are going down like Blockbusters in the ’90s … Let me just tell you something, I am not intimidated by the FCC, and if President Trump is watching, I have one thing to say to you: Have you lost weight? You look terrific,” to audience cheers and laughs.

“No, that’s not me, and never will be,” Maher added, “but life is f—ing weird. It was 24 years to the day that I made comments on ABC that got me canceled from that network, and Jimmy Kimmel took my slot at Politically Incorrect. I got canceled before cancel even had a culture.” (In the aftermath of 9/11, Maher disagreed with the suggestion that the perpetrators were “cowards,” arguing instead that the U.S. was cowardly for “lobbing cruise missiles from 2,000 miles away.” The comments caused an uproar, leading to major sponsors pulling their ads and local affiliates yanking the program. Afterward, as Maher mentioned, Kimmel was brought in to fill ABC’s late-night role.)

Maher’s support for his colleague comes after multiple late-night hosts — from David Letterman to Seth Meyers to Jay Leno — decried ABC’s preemption of Jimmy Kimmel Live! as an infringement on free speech following host Jimmy Kimmel’s joke about Donald Trump‘s seeming lack of grief over the killing of ultra right-wing spokesman Charlie Kirk: “We had some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and with everything they can to score political points from it,” he had said, in part.

ABC’s indefinite suspension of the program came after FCC chair Brendan Carr threatened action over the joke — which poked fun at Trump being in the “construction” stage of grief for his segueing from a reporter’s question about how he is “holding up” into the remodeling being done on the White House ballroom — and following Nexstar, the largest TV station group in the country, pulling the show for the “foreseeable future.” The company later clarified it did so “unilaterally” sans FCC pressure. Meanwhile, Sinclair Broadcast Group, the second largest national station operator and largest owner of ABC affiliate stations, said it would not lift the suspension until Kimmel had apologized to Kirk’s family and made a “meaningful donation” to his conservative nonprofit organization Turning Point USA. As such, the company replaced its Kimmel slot with a tribute to Kirk.

Meanwhile, as Trump celebrated the news, implying that Meyers and Jimmy Fallon are next up for removal, Democratic leaders penned a joint statement over the matter, as the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee vowed he would launch a formal investigation. In Hollywood, guilds have reacted with fervor, with writers and actors protesting at the Disney lot in Burbank, and top talent — from Damon Lindelof to She-Hulk star Tatiana Maslany — either announcing they will not work with Disney in the aftermath or calling for consumer boycotts of properties like Hulu and Disney+. Andor writer and recently minted Emmy winner Dan Gilroy penned a guest column in Deadline denouncing the “venomous evil” and governmental “siege.”

The move by ABC was also blasted by leading conservatives like Ted Cruz and former Disney CEO Michael Eisner. In the latest development today, an ABC Sacramento affiliate, the site of a protest the day prior, was hit with gunfire; no one was injured.

“This sh– ain’t new; it’s worse, we’ll get to that, but ABC, they are steady,” Maher said. “ABC stands for Always Be Caving. So, Jimmy, pal, I am with you, I support you, and on the bright side, you don’t have to pretend anymore that you like Disneyland.”

Maher continued in his monologue, calling the “intimidation on the right” “so hypocritical.” He made several jokes about corporate kowtowing, including how Good Morning America has changed its name to add the postscript “even the scum who didn’t vote for Trump” and that next year’s Golden Bachelor will be Rudy Giuliani. He added that even Wolf Blitzer would be reporting from “The Capitulation Room” (CNN’s program, with Blizter and Pamela Brown, is called The Situation Room).

During the show, Maher called out the hosts of The View for ignoring Kimmel’s sidelining for the second day in a row “you know, ’cause it’s never been their thing to weigh in on the issues … it’s just an upbeat party show — that’s why they hired people named Joy [Behar] and Sunny [Hostin] and Whoopi [Goldberg].” (Yesterday, Carr threatened regulatory scrutiny on the talk show, citing the FCC’s equal time rule as his reason for considering such action.)

Maher noted that he didn’t think what Kimmel said “was exactly right,” but maintained he “doesn’t deserve to lose his job over it.”

He added, “It is a fool’s errand to try to say that these nuts who do these things are any ‘team’ … This kid [alleged Kirk shooter Tyler Robinson] is in his basement with VR goggles on, getting virtually ass-f—ed by a cartoon wombat [via the game Furry Shades of Gay 3: Still Gayer], and you’re gonna put politics into this? This kid doesn’t belong in either party, he belongs in a straitjacket.”

Concluding, Maher addressed Kimmel directly: “Pal, you did a great, funny show for two decades; you should be proud of that. If this firing goes for you the way it did for me, you’ll get 23 years on a better network.”

Shots Fired Outside Bollywood Actress Disha Patani’s UP Residence, Goldy Brar Claims Responsibility

by jummy84 September 12, 2025
written by jummy84

Shots were fired outside Disha Patani’s house early Friday morning, reportedly in response to the comments she allegedly made against Hindu spiritual leaders Premanand Maharaj and Aniruddhacharya Maharaj. Goldy Brar’s group has reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack. It happened in Civil Lines, Bareilly.

Police told India Today that the incident took place around 4:30 am, when at least two shots of aerial firing were reported. No injuries occurred. Senior Superintendent of Police Bareilly, Anurag Arya, said, “Immediately, the local police and a team from the Special Operations Group (SOG) reached the house and began the investigation. At least five teams have been formed to apprehend the accused. An adequate number of security personnel have been deployed at Patani’s home to ensure the safety of the family members.”

Shortly after the attack, a social media post in Hindi surfaced, claiming responsibility and directly naming two individuals, Virendra Charan (of Rohit Godara Group) and Mahendra Saran.

The message, translated in English, reads, “Jai Shri Ram Ram Ram to all brothers. I, Virendra Charan, Mahendra Saran (Delana). Brothers, today, the firing that happened at Khushboo Patani/Disha Patani’s (Bollywood actress) house (Villa No. 40, Civil Lines, Bareilly, UP), we got it done. She insulted our revered saints (Premanand Ji Maharaj and Aniruddhacharya Ji Maharaj). She tried to demean our Sanatan Dharma. The insult of our deities will not be tolerated. This was just a trailer. Next time, if she or anyone else shows disrespect towards our religion, then no one in their house will be left alive. This message is not just for her, but also for all the artists of the film industry and those associated with them. Whoever in the future commits such an insulting act against our religion and saints should be ready to face the consequences. To protect our religion, we are ready to go to any extent. We will never back down. For us, our religion and society are one, and protecting them is our first duty.”

The authenticity of the post is yet to be verified. For the unaware, Disha Patani and her sister Khushboo Patani criticised spiritual leader Aniruddhacharya for his remarks on women and live-in relationships. The police are currently investigating.

Cam’ron Says His First Butt Shots Encounter Felt Like ‘Miniature Bricks’

Cam’ron is not holding back when it comes to the worst butt injection experience he has ever had.

On the August 28 episode of his REVOLT show “Talk With Flee,” the rapper and podcaster was asked to share his “worst experience” with the shots. Cam launched into a vivid story from the mid-2000s, calling it an unforgettable moment.

“This was probably about 2008, maybe 2007,” he began. “But this b***h has bricks in her a**. It’s no way you’re not going to tell me it wasn’t miniature bricks like a phone in her a**.”

He called it the “first batch” of injections. “You don’t want to be the first with anything,” Cam added. “They didn’t figure out all the kinks yet.”

Asked if he’s had any strange tummy tuck encounters, Cam joked, “I thought she had one of them waist beads… Then she kept trying to turn out all the lights.”

Have you ever had a bad butt shot experience??
