The look was very much in keeping with the Demi Moore and Goreski style playbook, and the rest of her press tour wardrobe so far has equally followed…suit. Moore turned up to Stephen Colbert wearing a sharp white Tom Ford blazer and flared trouser combo, an electric purple shirt, and a set of sunglasses that channeled Ford himself, toting a black envelope clutch and her teeny, micro chihuahua Pilaf. (One of Moore’s most beloved accessories). She also wore a more casual—but no less refined—Khaite and Jacquemus look with a blue, red, and cream argyle knit sweater and red leather pants. Stepping out again in NYC for a press day, Moore swathed herself in full Brandon Maxwell leathers from the designer’s fall 2025 collection, with a fringed skirt and the covetable new Maxwell bag.

Switching things up ever so slightly (while still relying on her Gucci ambassadorship), Moore wore a pre-fall 2025 purple, blue, and red bouclé jacket and matching mini dress with calf-length heeled boots and a cream horsebit bag. It was a sweet, and as always, sophisticated styled offering. Overall? So far, so Demi.

Season two of Landman sees Moore return to her role as Texas socialite Cami Miller, alongside Billy Bob Thornton, Ali Larter, and Andy Garcia. Her part in the first season of the gritty oil industry drama was relatively low-key, but it’s been promised that Moore will step more into the fore this time.

It’s been a big week for Demi, who also celebrated her 63rd birthday. As great a time as ever to luxuriate in her signature style codes.

Is there a bigger (and more highly-anticipated) show to close out the year than Stranger Things? Season five of the hit Duffer Brothers series will drop on Netflix come November 26, and ahead of the grand debut, the cast has been in full press tour mode. Just a few days ago, the whole gang—including stars Millie Bobby Brown, Winona Ryder, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, and more—hit the Los Angeles premiere. And now, the fun has continued on with another event in L.A. today. Naturally, they brought along some blockbuster-worthy fashions with them.

Brown, for one, leaned into classic Hollywood glamour with her choice of red carpet look, opting for a plunging black sparkling gown by Bronx and Banco, which was punctuated with a bow detail and semi-opaque finish. Is it a full-on naked dress? No, but the sheer silhouette nodded to the growing fashion fad, in which loads of celebrities have been showing major skin on the step and repeat. With a nude underlay, it was more demure—not as risqué!—but in line with the movement nonetheless.

A pair of sleek black tights can instantly elevate any fall or winter outfit—so why not apply the same look to your manicure? “Sheer tights nails” are trending, and if you’re constantly torn between neutral, moody, and statement nails, they’re the perfect combination.

What are sheer tights nails?

As the name suggests, sheer tights nails mimic the look of see-through nylons. The technique accentuates your natural nail bed without covering it completely—similarly to how your skin shows through sheer stockings. And while the concept can be executed quite simply, you can also bring in as much variety to the design, pattern, and opacity of your sheer tights mani as you’d find in any hosiery aisle.

“The sheer black nails look is that perfect mix of edgy and effortless. It takes something as bold as black and softens it with a translucent finish, kind of like a smoky veil for your nails,” Paris-based nail artist Andréa Barbet tells Glamour. “I think it’s trending because it fits the moment so well, people want something chic and minimal, but with a little attitude. It feels modern, wearable, and a bit mysterious: like quiet luxury, but cooler.”

Barbet was inspired to put a moody, seasonal twist on the fashion-inspired polka dots trend, and created one of the most viral takes on the sheer tights manicure. Below, she walks us through exactly how to get the look.

How to get the sheer tights nail look

For such a polished final look, sheer tights nails are surprisingly easy to DIY. While you can have lots of fun with detail work, Barbet says that the translucent base is the most important part to nail (no pun intended).

If you thought the looks at this weekend’s Academy Museum Gala were good—and they absolutely were, from Hailey Bieber’s Schiaparelli gown with padded hips to Greta Lee’s lace Dior dress by Jonathan Anderson—just wait until you see some of the after-party ensembles that were spotted at Giorgio Armani’s celebration at Chateau Marmont. Sure, some attendees chose to stay fitted in their red carpet creations, but that wasn’t the case for everyone, including Laura Harrier, who quickly changed out of her black sequin Gucci by Demna number when the gala ended, switching into something a little more… risqué.

Following the night’s main event, Harrier slipped on a Dolce & Gabbana sheer black dress from the Italian brand’s spring 2024 collection that featured a V neck, spaghetti straps, and a corset bodice. The model-actress, who has worked with stylist Danielle Goldberg for years now, paired the thong-baring piece with ’90s-esque Gianvito Rossi sandals and added a tiny satin evening bag as a finishing touch.
