Kevin Spacey Set To Face Civil Sex Assault Claims In London Court

by jummy84 November 27, 2025
written by jummy84

Kevin Spacey will face civil claims of sexual assault from three men at the High Court in London next October.

A British performer named Ruari Cannon, who has waived his right to anonymity, and two other claimants who have not, have alleged Spacey abused them between 2000 and 2015.

A judge set the provisional trial date of 12 October 2026 for the cases at a hearing earlier this week. Spacey denies all the allegations.

Spacey was cleared of nine sexual offence charges at a criminal trial in 2023. He was also found not liable in a U.S. civil case brought by actor Anthony Rapp, who alleged Spacey molested him when he was 14.

Spacey made headlines last week with an interview with The Telegraph newspaper during which he described his financial situation as “not great,” adding, “I’m living in hotels, I’m living in Airbnbs, I’m going where the work is. I literally have no home, that’s what I’m attempting to explain.”

The House of Cards alum, who last year appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored to discuss his debts, including the foreclosure of his Baltimore abode, said, “The costs over these last seven years have been astronomical. I’ve had very little coming in and everything going out.”

Spacey likened his predicament to the experiences of actors of yore, who were swept into the Hollywood blacklist as a result of McCarthyism. He cited Kirk Douglas’ willingness to work with screenwriter Dalton Trumbo, then blacklisted, as the type of strategic allyship that could help him right the ship.

“So, my feeling is if Martin Scorsese or Quentin Tarantino call Evan [Lowenstein, Spacey’s manager] tomorrow, it will be over,” he posited. “I will be incredibly honored and delighted when that level of talent picks up the phone. And I believe it’s going to happen.”

Most recently, Spacey wrapped production in the U.K. on an under-the-radar sci-fi thriller called The Tenth Planet. The project was on sale at this year’s American Film Market.

Sex assault charge against ‘Trailer Park Boys’ Bubbles actor ‘won’t be tried in the media’: lawyer

by jummy84 November 11, 2025
written by jummy84

The lawyer representing Mike Smith, the actor who plays Bubbles in the Trailer Park Boys, says a sexual assault charge against his client “won’t be tried in the media.”

“Well, what I’m going to say is, this is an allegation at this point. It hasn’t been proven. It’ll be tried in the court, it won’t be tried in the media,” said lawyer Stan MacDonald at Halifax Provincial Court.

“In the meantime, we ask that the privacy of everyone involved be respected. So that’s all I want to say today. Thank you.”

MacDonald appeared on Smith’s behalf Monday.

Smith has been charged with sexual assault in connection to an alleged incident that court records say took place on Dec. 30, 2017. Court documents indicate Smith was charged by Halifax Regional Police on Oct. 2.

“It is actually quite common for charges of sexual violence to come out later on into years following the alleged incident,” said Crown attorney Nicole Ford, who confirmed to reporters there is one female complainant in this case.

“That’s not uncommon, we do see that regularly and that’s why there’s no limitation for sexual violence.”

News of Smith’s charge has made headlines internationally and in entertainment outlets, with coverage on TMZ, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter and BBC.

“Every person, no matter of their public status or their public personality or anything to do with their public nature or profile, doesn’t get treated any differently than any other individual,” said Ford.

“We at the PPS (Public Prosecution Service) take every file very seriously. We evaluate every file the same way for each individual person and we maintain our integrity of the investigation separate and we do not provide any type of special treatment to anyone based on their public profile.”

The matter is being transferred to Dartmouth Provincial Court, and Smith’s next court date is set for Dec. 3.

The Crown was granted a publication ban on any information that could identify the alleged victim.

Court documents show that Smith has been ordered not to communicate with or visit the workplace, home or school of the alleged victim. The documents do not include details about the allegation.

This is not the first time Smith has faced charges before. In April 2016, Smith faced a battery charge in Los Angeles for an incident at a Hollywood hotel involving a woman.

The misdemeanor domestic battery charge was dropped a month later.

The Trailer Park Boys, a TV sitcom series that follows a group of ex-convicts living in Nova Scotia and their misadventures, including petty crimes, first aired in 2001.

Trailer Park Boys announced in August they had completed filming for the 10-episode Season 13, which will coincide with the 25th anniversary of the series’ start.

An emailed statement from Trailer Park Boys Incorporated says they are aware of the allegation and take such matters seriously, and Smith has stepped away from his role as managing director.

“We recognize how difficult an allegation of this nature is for all involved. Out of respect for the legal process, we will not comment further on the case.”

Forbidden Sex’ Among IFFR V-Cinema Titles

by jummy84 November 7, 2025
written by jummy84

The International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) has unveiled its second Focus program for the 55th edition, turning the spotlight on Japan’s V-Cinema — the direct-to-video movement that exploded in the late 1980s and profoundly shaped the country’s contemporary film culture.

The section, curated by Tom Mes, will run as part of the festival’s 2026 edition from Jan. 29 to Feb. 8.

Originating with Toei’s “Crime Hunter: Bullets of Rage” (1989), V-Cinema responded to Japan’s booming home video market by producing films that bypassed theaters entirely. The low-budget, high-speed production model gave directors unprecedented creative freedom, birthing a generation of filmmakers who went on to define modern Japanese cinema — including Miike Takashi, Nakata Hideo, Kurosawa Kiyoshi and Aoyama Shinji.

IFFR’s V-Cinema Focus will showcase a range of Toei titles, among them the “Crime Hunter” trilogy — “Crime Hunter: Bullets of Rage,” “Crime Hunter 2: Bullets of Betrayal” and “Crime Hunter 3: Killing Bullet.” The lineup also features Nakata’s debut feature “Female Teacher: Forbidden Sex,” the psychological noir “Betrayal Tomorrow,” and the cult action thriller “XX Beautiful Weapon.”

The program expands beyond Toei to highlight the anarchic spirit and genre experimentation that defined the movement. Among the selections are the ghostly anthology “Scary True Stories: Second Night,” the eerie found-footage investigation “Psychic Vision: Jaganrei,” and Miike’s hyperviolent “Fudoh: The New Generation.” Other highlights include the surreal gangland fable “Tuff: Part I,” Kurosawa’s deadpan yakuza comedy “Suit Yourself or Shoot Yourself!! VI: The Hero,” Aoyama’s archetypal action drama “A Weapon in My Heart,” and “The King of Minami,” about a loan shark aiding small business owners.

“V-Cinema offered filmmakers the space to take risks, move fast and work with a freedom rarely possible within the traditional studio system,” said IFFR festival director Vanja Kaludjercic. “What emerged was a wild and inventive cinema embracing everything from anarchic yakuza tales and psycho-horror experiments to surreal hybrid pieces — work that still feels electric today.”

IFFR’s full 2026 program will be unveiled on Dec. 16.

Why Are ‘The Diplomat’ Sex Scenes So Distractingly Awkward?

by jummy84 October 25, 2025
written by jummy84

We need to talk about The Diplomat. Specifically, the romantic relationships on The Diplomat. And even more specifically, the sex scenes.

The Netflix thriller has been sitting comfortably in the top 10 most-watched TV shows since its third season premiered on October 16, and not since House of Cards has the public been so invested in the juicy inner lives of despicable elected officials. (The fictional ones, at least.) In the series, Keri Russell stars as Kate Wyler, a longtime behind-the-scenes strategist who, in season 3, plays double duty as both the second lady of the United States as well as the US ambassador to the UK. She appears slightly disheveled at all times and is not afraid to put ethics aside for the sake of her preferred outcome. She and her husband, Vice President Hal Wyler (Rufus Sewell), also a duplicitous politician, are well-matched antiheroes.

I am a fan of the show. In a world full of flops, The Diplomat is a diamond in the rough, a rare TV series that has me reaching for my phone not because I want to mindlessly scroll on a second screen, but because I want to embark on a Wikipedia deep dive into the Law of the Sea treaty (a real thing!), the Runit Dome (a concrete structure in the Marshall Islands that “entombs” nuclear waste), the politics behind the Scottish independence movement (what’s really behind its failure?), and so on and so forth.

However, when deeply engaging moments like this are interrupted by out-of-left-field dialogue like, “I want to lick you until you scream,” it can feel like a slap in the face. I’m sorry, but what is going on with The Diplomat’s sex scenes?

For the record, I’m not a prude, or one of the Gen Z contingent who believes there’s too much sex on TV (a young millennial, I was raised on Gossip Girl—it takes a lot to shock me). Nine times out of 10, I’m all for a little sexy time on screen. But the relationships between Kate and UK foreign secretary Dennison (David Gyasi), Kate and Callum Ellis (Aidan Turner), and Kate and Hal in season 3 of The Diplomat felt forced in a manner that completely took me out from under the show’s otherwise unbreakable spell.

Check out Anna Karenina Song Lyrics by Cigarettes After Sex

I never told you where I was going
I never told you what I was doing
I never told you any of my secrets, really
I never told you who I was out with sometimes
I never told you who came by
I never told you

Walking in the suicide dreams
You knew that I was all yours
You got me now, I’m, I’m all yours
But I got you and you won’t get free
You’ll never get free
There’s no place left for you to go

I cried at the end of Anna Karenina
When she threw herself undеr the train
I cried at the еnd of Anna Karenina
When she threw herself under the train

Laughing as you take your shirt off
And you take your skirt off
And you jump
Into the swimming pool
I feel the world is on fire
As you come in on top of me
And the lights are off

Inside the house
It was a deep and painful love I felt for you
It was a deep and painful love that I felt for you
And I’ll never get free
I’ll never be free

I cried at the end of Anna Karenina
When she threw herself under the train
I cried at the end of Anna Karenina
When she threw herself under the train

Derek Hough on Sex of Baby With Hayley Erbert

by jummy84 October 15, 2025
written by jummy84

Derek Hough may have tangoed his way into a big reveal.

The Dancing With the Stars judge appeared to accidentally share the sex of his first baby with wife Hayley Ebert during the Oct. 14 Dedication Night episode of the ABC series.

During the episode, celebrity contestant Jordan Chiles performed a Viennese Waltz alongside her dad Timothy Chiles that was choreographed by her pro partner Ezra Sosa to John Mayer‘s song “Daughters.” And following their emotional father-daughter dance, Derek—who shared he and Hayley are expecting their first baby together in July—admitted that he got choked up imagining having a similar experience one day.

“Watching you two dance really made me excited to have my own moment with my—” Derek told them during the judging portion of the show before appearing to stop himself from uttering the word “daughter” and saying, “with my own child.”

“It’s so beautiful,” he added. “There was a tenderness. It was simple. There was a care to it, and I hope you both cherish that moment.”

Alistair Petrie on 'Sex Education,' 'Hamlet' and Playing the Villain

Alistair Petrie on ‘Sex Education,’ ‘Hamlet’ and Playing the Villain

by jummy84 October 7, 2025
written by jummy84

Alistair Petrie is no stranger to villains. The British star has played some of television’s most notorious, especially as the stone-faced, unfeeling headteacher Mr. Groff in smash hit series Sex Education, which saw his icy glare pierce through screens in over 55 million households worldwide across its four seasons.

But as hardcore fans of Netflix’s sex-positive teen dramedy might remember, Michael Groff’s redemption arc was undeniably one of the show’s more moving plot points. Petrie’s character, once practically vibrating with resentment and shame, learns to shed his steely exterior and make amends with his son Adam (Connor Swindells), with whom he had a fraught relationship. It’s an ending only made possible by the work of Petrie who, unlike the men he often portrays, is attentive, warm and softened by a palpable adoration of the craft.

“I think the villainous roles are hugely fun to play, but a lot of a lot of them can be underwritten from time to time,” confesses Petrie, also known for roles in Star Wars spinoff Andor and the BBC’s Sherlock. “The hero’s journey needs to be figured out and the villains can sometimes [fall] by the wayside. That’s what I find so entertaining when I read them — certainly the ones I take on — because you think: ‘Who is the human being? Where’s the villainy come from?’ It doesn’t just appear,” he continues to The Hollywood Reporter over Zoom in late September. “And in that sense, you’re being asked to elevate the material from where it was originally conceived. Every good story needs a villain, and how do you fulfill that? You try and find the human being within it.”

It’s this search for humanity that makes Petrie the perfect fit for theater’s biggest baddie: King Claudius, uncle to Shakespeare’s Prince Hamlet. The 55-year-old leads a mighty ensemble cast currently performing at the National’s Lyttelton Theatre until November, with Life of Pi‘s Hiran Abeysekera embodying our protagonist with a mischievous sense of frenzy through Robert Hastie’s sharp, contemporary take on the classic.

“What I love about playing Claudius on stage is that he has such main character energy,” says Petrie about the king-slayer, whose act of fratricide in a bid for the Danish throne sends his nephew spiraling. “When the curtain goes up, Claudius firmly believes that he’s in a play called Claudius. He’s not in a play called Hamlet. This is his moment.”

Alistair Petrie, above left, plays King Claudius of Denmark in Robert Hastie’s Hamlet at the National Theatre.

Sam Taylor

It’s something that Petrie finds brilliantly inspiring on the stage, a place he describes as “an amazing actor’s medium, whereas film and television are much more of a director’s medium.” Hamlet marks his return to theater after 11 years, and the Brit casts his mind back to a stint in Declan Donnellan’s West End production of Shakespeare in Love, in which he played Lord Wessex.

It’s not an experience he thinks back on entirely fondly, as Petrie found himself pulled between the painstaking demands of theater and family life. “I’m certainly not frightened of hard work — I revel in it — but I value my other real-life roles as a partner and a husband and a father,” he explains. “I blithely thought that you can live slightly out of London and still commute in and quickly do a West End Show in front of an audience and then just pop home and carry on as normal. But you can’t. It requires extraordinary reserves of energy, really, and something had to give.”

Petrie, married to actress Lucy Scott with whom he shares three sons, also admittedly found himself a little bogged down by the expectations placed upon the cast in the stage adaptation of the Oscar-winning film Shakespeare in Love (1998). “It was a very big-budget show. It had very grand plans. It was sort of Disney-backed,” he says, “and I think the expectations were so high and that was slightly thrust onto us. … When we finally finished, I had no desire to step on stage again. It wasn’t so much the doing of it. It was more [about] how it collides with your life, and I just wasn’t prepared to give that up.”

With his theatrical mojo rediscovered, Petrie finds himself back in front of a live audience. And after over a decade away, he’s relishing the thrill. “As an actor, I love the sense of being part of of a group, of an ensemble,” he says. “I do think if we search for anything in life, we do look to belong somewhere — I mean, a psychologist could have field day with me,” he jokes, “but I think it’s very much tied into the notion of being brought up as a military kid and moving around a lot. You’re desperate to fit in, and as soon as you find yourself as a part of something, you’re on to the next thing. There’s a certain masochism to being an actor.”

One set that Petrie found himself immediately at home on was the fan-favorite Sex Education, an experience that he continues to feel the ramifications of to this day. “It permeates throughout everything in the most glorious way. Sex Education is a gift — not was a gift. I put it in the present tense,” the actor says about his time as Mr. Groff.

In the early throes of production when fellow cast members Asa Butterfield, Emma Mackey, Ncuti Gatwa, Aimee Lou Wood and Connor Swindells were yet to reach the dizzy heights of stardom, he admits there were concerns about how the show would land with Netflix audiences. “Given the explosion of all the streamers and all the platforms and all the curation that people could do,” says Petrie, “would we find an audience? Or would we be buried in some kind of algorithm, in the bowels of Netflix? And it was just the most glorious reverse,” he smiles about the show, which debuted to critical and audience acclaim. “You couldn’t have predicted how people would receive it, of all age groups and demographics all over the world.”

Sex Education is a part of his life Petrie would never abandon in the face of snobbery, notably because it’s provided him with some of the strongest off-screen relationships of his career. In particular, Petrie is close with his on-screen son and Barbie actor Swindells, and last year officiated his wedding to fellow thespian Amber Anderson.

“I talk to Connor literally every day,” says Petrie. He pauses, recalling his first few days on the Sex Ed set. “I am absolutely a 50-something-year-old man trapped in a 22-year-old person’s body. There’s no question I’m a complete labrador when it comes to working in this industry. And within seconds, I thought, ‘Oh, this is going to be great.’ We were just one happy gang. I couldn’t give a rat’s ass whether I was comfortably nearly double their age — watching them all soar as they are, I look on it with almost a parental pride.” He’s working on a new series with Sex Ed alumn George Robinson, Petrie tells THR, who fans will know as Isaac Goodwin.

From left: Petrie and Connor Swindells as father-son duo Michael and Adam Groff in ‘Sex Education.’

Netflix

But Mr. Groff was a role that nearly escaped him. In 2019, Petrie found himself down to the final two for Prince Philip in another Netflix behemoth: The Crown. The part eventually went to Tobias Menzies, but disappointment was soon eclipsed by a phone call asking him to read for a thrilling new show about the sex lives of eager teens.

“The scripts were obviously so good,” Petrie says about the material crafted by The Crown mastermind Peter Morgan. “I thought, ‘Gosh, this is a character I really want to to investigate. Tobias and I are different, and it was either going to be him or it was going to be me. And he was magnificent — he’s a mate and a wonderful actor — and when I saw it, it made perfect sense to me.” Within an hour of being told Menzies nabbed the role, Petrie got the call about Groff. “Serendipity hovers over my being quite a lot,” he says, “and I will accept that. If serendipity is my God, I’ll take it.”

Another serendipitous development that’s got Petrie excited is the upcoming second season of The Night Manager with Tom Hiddleston, the British spy thriller adapted from John le Carré’s 1993 novel. In the first season, which had us gripped all the way back in 2016, Petrie played Lord Alexander “Sandy” Langbourne, financial director to the cunning Richard Roper (Hugh Laurie).

What was supposed to be a miniseries is now returning on Amazon Prime Video for a hotly anticipated second installment that, at certain points, didn’t involve Petrie at all. “I would get a phone call probably about once a year: ‘We think we’re on,’” says the Briton. “I was like, ‘Great.’ And then I get a phone call about a year later, and it would be like, ‘We are going to do it, but you’re not in it.’ I went, ‘That’s totally fine. All good.’” He remembers phoning up good pal Laurie, who serves as an executive producer on both seasons. Laurie said something to the effect of: “‘If you’re standing on set one day and the camera’s on you and I’m standing behind the camera as an exec producer, then I guess we’re doing it.’”

Eventually, after hours-long conversations about how to “crack” a le Carré-esque story that isn’t entirely based on any of the author’s work, season two of The Night Manager was a go, Petrie included. “Eventually, [writer] David Farr was available,” explains the actor. “I think he sat down and said, ‘OK, this is what I would do’ and presented it. There was a general sense of, ‘Oh, OK, this is a story worth telling.’” He also sings Laurie’s praises: “He’s so wise and brilliant about le Carré’s work. As an exec producer, he’s always going to be creatively involved. I think read it and looked at it amongst everyone else and there was a decision: ‘This is the one. I think this is it.’”

The Night Manager is expected to return to screens imminently. Petrie also says the cast is supposed to be filming a third season next year. “David has delivered a Shakespearean tragedy, I think it’s wonderful,” he teases. “This is just based on what I’ve read, but it’s going to be enormous. We’re supposed to be doing a third one next year and I really hope we do, because the people in it and around it are just wonderful.”

With Shakespeare in Love, Hamlet and now a Shakespeare-adjacent season of The Night Manager ahead, Petrie can’t help but think about the bard’s artistic impact on his career so far. “He wrote about all the great themes that run through our emotional lives,” ponders Petrie. “He wrote about power and love and madness and revenge and mortality and jealousy and the fear of God, and he did it pretty well.”

This time around, with his sons all grown up, Petrie’s got the work-life balance a little more figured out. What remains is sheer pride. “In amongst the crash bang of this industry, we raised three well-adjusted, decent human beings,” he beams. “We’ve managed to figure it out, my wife and I, because we are such a team. So the emotion of doing all this is running beautifully high at the moment.”

Hamlet is on at the National’s Lyttelton Theatre until Nov. 22, 2025.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Sentenced to Over Four Years in Prison on Prostitution and Sex Trafficking Charge

by jummy84 October 4, 2025
written by jummy84

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been sentenced to over four years in prison. He has been convicted on prostitution-related charges involving his two ex-girlfriends. While his attorney had argued for a sentence which would be a little over a year, the sentence was fixed to four years. As per the attorney, Diddy has already served 13 months in a New York jail. However, the prosecutors wanted 11 years. They cited his domestic violence history while putting in the argument.

The court also heard from Combs’ children. The prosecutors detailed the case to the judges. Towards the end of the hearing, Judge Arun Subramanian stated that a message needs to be sent with appropriate punishment.

Combs shared a statement before he was sentenced to 4 years in jail. Naming his two ex-girlfriends, Cassandra Ventura and “Jane” (pseudonym), he apologised to his victims. He said, “My actions were disgusting, shameful, and sick… I got lost in excess, I got lost in my ego.”

He also apologised to his mother and children. Diddy noted, “I’m so sorry. They deserved better.” Most of his children were in the courtroom when the hearing happened. He also begged the judge for a second chance. “I ask your honour for mercy. I beg your honour for mercy. I don’t have nobody to blame but myself. I know that I’ve learned my lesson,” Combs said.

For those unaware, the prosecutors accused Sean of creating a business empire to run a criminal enterprise of sex trafficking. He allegedly sex-trafficked women through “freak-offs”. He would allegedly also pay male escorts to have sex with his girlfriends, which he would film and watch. The prosecutors also noted that Combs forced the women to have unwanted intercourse, which involved physical violence and drugs.

Once the hearing was done and Combs was sentenced to 50 months of prison and a fine of 500,000 dollars, his attorney Marc Agnifilo stated that his legal team is also planning to appeal the decision.

On September 16, 2024, Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested in New York by federal agents and was charged with three felony counts: racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. The news came amid the rapper and music producer’s legal woes, including a 2023 lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, who claimed that he sexually assaulted her. Although he denied the claims and settled the case, Combs was placed under investigation by Homeland Security.

Diddy’s trial began in May 2025 and drew nationwide attention. After weeks of testimony, a jury acquitted him of the most serious charges—sex trafficking and racketeering—but found him guilty on two counts of Mann Act transportation to engage in prostitution. He has remained in custody at MDC Brooklyn as he awaits sentencing on October 3, 2025.

Below, learn more about Diddy’s legal troubles, the trial, and what’s next for the music mogul.

When Was Diddy’s Trial?

Diddy’s federal trial began on May 12, 2025, in New York. The government’s star witness was his ex-girlfriend Cassie, whose emotional testimony made headlines and struck a chord with both the courtroom and the public. Other witnesses included former Danity Kane singer Dawn Richard, Cassie’s best friend Kerry Morgan, and Combs’ former assistant David James, each offering accounts that added weight to the prosecution’s case.

After weeks of testimony, closing arguments were delivered during the week of June 24, 2025, before the jury began deliberations.

Why Was Diddy Arrested?

Diddy was arrested on September 16, 2024, and the charges against him were revealed when he was taken into custody on September 17. According to his indictment, he and his alleged accomplices participated in “sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice” all while allegedly running a “criminal enterprise.”

The music mogul is currently in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.

His lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, told reporters at the time of his arrest, “He came to New York to basically engage the court system and start the case, and it will start today, and he’s going to plead not guilty.” Agnifilo added, “He’s going to fight this with all of his energy and all of his might and the full confidence of his lawyers.”

Why Were Diddy’s Houses Raided?

Homeland Security did not publicly explain the reason behind its raid on Diddy’s home. However, the agency released a statement to multiple outlets about the incident.

“Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York executed law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation, with assistance from HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami, and our local law enforcement partners,” Homeland Security explained in a statement, per CNN. “We will provide further information as it becomes available.”

According to NBC, a source told the outlet that “three women and a man have been interviewed by federal officials in Manhattan in relation to allegations of sex trafficking, sexual assault and the solicitation and distribution of illegal narcotics and firearms.” The outlet also reported that Homeland Security and federal agents executed search warrants at Diddy’s L.A. and Miami properties. Following the raid, it was reported that law enforcement found firearms at both of the rapper’s residences.

What Did Diddy Do?

Combs previously made headlines for multiple allegations of sexual assault in late 2023. That November, Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Ventura filed a lawsuit against him in the Federal District Court in New York City for alleged rape and abuse.

According to court documents from Ventura’s lawsuit, she accused Combs of “beating her” and “forcing her to have sex” with “male prostitutes” while Diddy allegedly recorded the sexual “encounters.” At the time when Ventura and Combs began dating when she was 19 and he was in his 30s. The exes had an on and off relationship for several years.

In response to the claims, Combs defended himself in an Instagram statement—which now appears to have been deleted.

“ENOUGH IS ENOUGH,” he wrote. “For the last couple of weeks, I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy. Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick pay day. Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.”

Diddy’s lawyer, Ben Brafman, also released a statement as well, denying the sexual assault allegations.

Shortly thereafter, Ventura and Combs settled the case that month. However, in December 2023, another woman came forward with accusations of sexual assault against Combs. She claimed that he raped her in 2003 when she was 17.

By early 2024, Diddy was facing five accusations of sexual assault. Among the accusers is a man who was 16 at the time of the alleged incident and a woman who was a 19-year-old college student when she alleges Combs raped her in a Manhattan hotel room in 2004. All of the alleged incidents occurred in New York City or the Hamptons, according to the suits. Two of the lawsuits include incidents alleged to have happened at Combs’ lavish Labor Day “White Parties” at his Hamptons property.

In April 2025, actor Terence Howard claimed that Combs tried to have sex with him in a past encounter. Howard unraveled the alleged incident during an appearance on the “PBD Podcast.”

During the opening statements of Diddy’s trial, prosecutors unveiled a startling new set of claims against him. Ventura claimed that her ex had a male escort urinate in her mouth and introduced her to his “freak offs.”

What Are Diddy’s Charges?

Prosecutors decided to drop three of the charges against Combs when closing arguments began in late June 2025. The dismissed charges, indicted in a letter to the judge, were the following: attempted kidnapping under both California and New York law, attempted arson under California law, and aiding and abetting sex trafficking, according to multiple outlets.

Kody Brown Once Claimed He Never Loved Meri Brown

Love is meant to be multiplied, not subtracted. And yet Kody admitted he did just that with his previous claims that he never loved his ex wives.

“It’s more of like a knee jerk reaction,” he said during the June 15 one-on-one special, insisting he was reeling from them “trashing” him. “I was deep in the throes of reactionary vitriol for the past three years.”

Which is why, he said, he alluded to Meri that he never truly loved her while they were spending their anniversary together.

Recounting the conversation to a pal in a September 2024 episode, Meri insisted she knew he loved her.

But if he didn’t, the mom to Leon Brown said in a confessional, why did he ever propose?

“When a single young man meets a single young woman, why would he choose to marry her and just affirm and force love for her when he didn’t love her?” she wondered. “How cruel is that? To pick me out of a crowd and just be like, ‘I pick you to try to force myself to love for the next 32 years’?”

Kody’s response, he shared in his own confessional: “Oh, Meri has her little accusations now.”

Though, he would share that they never enjoyed a honeymoon period.

“This marriage was on the rocks the entire marriage,” he insisted on the Oct. 20 episode. “And how would I know that? Because I had such a better relationship with Janelle, with Christine, with Robyn.”

But he stayed out of fear, noting, “Leadership will never allow you to marry again if you’re discarding wives.”
