Sarah Paulson has paid an emotional tribute to her late friend and co-star Diane Keaton

Following the Oscar-winning actor’s death earlier this month aged 79, the actress spoke to Access Hollywood at the premiere of her new Hulu series All’s Fair about the loss, with Sarah, 50, saying she was struggling to come to terms with the passing.

She said: “She was a very dear friend of mine, so it’s not something I’m able to talk about yet. I’m not able to talk about it. But all I can say, and I have been saying tonight, which is important to me to communicate, is that what you thought she was as a performer, she was even more spectacular as a human being.”

Sarah and Diane first met while filming the 1999 movie The Other Sister, in which Diane played her fellow actress’ on-screen mother.

The pair remained close friends for the next 25 years until Diane’s death.

Sarah added: “I was the luckiest person in the world to have had her in my life the way that I did.”

At the same event, the star spoke to The Hollywood Reporter and described the loss as “profoundly sad”.

She said: “I can’t talk about it in any way that’s articulate other than to say that for all you knew and loved about her as a performer, she was even more as a friend.”

Diane’s family confirmed her death on 16 October, saying she died of pneumonia on 11 October.

In a statement released to the press, they said: “The Keaton family are very grateful for the extraordinary messages of love and support they have received these past few days on behalf of their beloved Diane.

“She loved her animals and she was steadfast in her support of the unhoused community, so any donations in her memory to a local food bank or an animal shelter would be a wonderful and much appreciated tribute to her.”

In the days following her death, several Hollywood figures shared tributes to Keaton, including Keanu Reeves, Patricia Arquette, Clint Eastwood, Richard Gere and Al Pacino, who starred alongside her in The Godfather films.

Sarah Jessica Parker thinks Victoria’s Secret is a ‘fantasy’

Sarah Jessica Parker sees Victoria’s Secret as a “fantasy”.

Sarah Jessica Parker attends the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

The 60-year-old actress was a guest at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Wednesday (15.10.25) and took a moment before the glitzy event to reflect on the impact the VS brand has had on her.

She told stylist Law Roach during the pre-show: “I probably have probably the same history with Victoria’s Secret that most civilians do which is it’s sort of this fantasy.

“And whether you fit in or not in reality kind of doesn’t matter.

“It’s a longtime brand that’s played a role in a lot of our lives for a really, really long time.”

The Sex And the City legend stepped out in a black Alexander Wang dress she bought “1,000 years ago”, pairing it with a Dolce and Gabbana jacket, and heels from her own shoe brand.

She joked she was “wearing nothing” for the event, describing her outfit as “pieces I’ve had in my closet forever”.

Sarah recently hinted she could still reprise her SATC character Carrie Bradshaw again in the future, despite seemingly saying farewell to her alter ego at the end of sequel series And Just Like That.

Asked about the decision to bring the series to a conclusion, Sarah told CBS Mornings: “I mean, I’m not certain I understand what that decision means, actually.

“Because I could just be on hiatus, you know.”

Sarah did not expand on what she meant with the “hiatus” suggestion but described the “difficult decision” she and showrunner Michael Patrick King made to finish And Just Like That… .

The Mars Attacks! star said: “Michael and I talked a lot about it, and I think it’s out of respect for this really singular professional experience that you have to consider what you want to do (and) have you done it.

“And sometimes it’s best to gracefully walk away when things feel really right and energetic, versus squeezing and exploiting people’s generosity and hospitality.”

Sarah Jessica Parker’s Bucket Bag is a Key Piece for Fall and Winter 2025

Her bucket bag is pure functionality without sacrificing an ounce of style, maintaining its sleek design despite its large capacity. Her bag seems to make room for all the essentials (and more), from a wallet, a small planner, sunglasses, and makeup must-haves.

The bucket bag’s charm lies in its ability to adapt to any style without losing its character. In mini versions, it’s the most sophisticated accessory for a day-to-evening look, while it becomes the perfect ally for the office or a weekend away in medium or maxi sizes. Its slightly relaxed yet polished structure balances casualness with elegance, making it ideal for those looking for an accessory that works equally well with jeans and a trench coat as it does with a wool dress and knee-high boots.

As if that weren’t enough, this season the bucket bag is reinvented with details that update it without losing its classic DNA, such as braided ropes, metal closures, shiny finishes, and color combinations in earth tones, chocolate, and burgundy. Its chromatic versatility makes it a piece that transcends passing fads and establishes itself as a smart investment. Ultimately, the bucket bag represents the perfect balance between trend and timelessness and is the accessory that promises to accompany you for many more autumns.

“People feel bad for me, but they dont wanna talk to me…” NBC’s Peacock has revealed an official trailer for a streaming series titled All Her Fault, arriving to watch on Peacock starting in November this fall. It’s an adaptation of the book of the same name by Andrea Mara, about missing boy. Marissa arrives to pick up her young son Milo from his first playdate, but the woman who answers the door isn’t a mother she recognizes. She doesn’t have Milo and has never heard of him. Every parent’s worst nightmare begins to unfold. As news of the disappearance filters through the quiet suburb and an unexpected suspect is named, whispers start to spread about the women most closely connected to the shocking event. Because only one of them may have taken Milo – but they could all be blamed. All Her Fault stars Sarah Snook, with Jake Lacy, Dakota Fanning, Michael Peña, Sophia Lillis, Abby Elliott, Daniel Monks, Jay Ellis, Thomas Cocquerel, Duke McCloud, Kartiah Vergara. Looks like it’s worth watching for all the thrilling performances alone.

How Charlie Hunnam Transformed as Ed Gein, Sarah Paulson’s Advice

by jummy84 October 4, 2025
written by jummy84

[This story contains some spoilers from Monster: The Ed Gein Story.]

It’s fall, so that means another season of Monster from Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan‘s anthology series is upon us, and this time, the horror series follows the life of the infamous serial killer of the 1950s, Ed Gein, who inspired classic horror films Psycho, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Silence of the Lambs.

For the show to land, everything falls on the performance of its title character, played by Charlie Hunnam. To step into the world of Ed, and try to understand him, the Sons of Anarchy star spent months researching the murderer to do his role justice and “not glamorize” the horrific things Ed is known for, such as murdering women, wearing their faces and digging up graves.

“I read every single book that had been written about him, and there was a lot of books. I read all of the court transcriptions, all of his medical records. And then I read the scripts over and over to understand what would drive a human being to do some of the pretty wild things he did — pretty despicable acts,” Hunnam told The Hollywood Reporter earlier this week at the series’ New York City premiere. “We were really very serious about trying to understand the man and not just sensationalize this, and certainly not glamorize it at all.”

While preparing for the role, he said he didn’t seek out advice from Evan Peters, who starred as Jeffrey Dahmer in the first season of Monster, because they had never crossed paths. Instead, he found help from another American Horror Story veteran.

“I’ve never met Evan Peters. I’m an enormous fan of his work. I would love to get to meet him, but I never had an opportunity to. I did bump into Sarah Paulson, who’s worked with Ryan Murphy a lot and tackled some pretty dark characters and she’s an old friend of mine from way back in the day,” Hunnam said. “So I asked her advice about navigating it and she was really kind and basically said, ‘Challenge yourself. Don’t be afraid. It’s inside you, just look deep and find it.’”

The series kicks off with viewers seeing Ed kill his brother Henry (Hudson Oz), but not realizing it until later because of his undiagnosed schizophrenia, where he imagines he’s talking to his brother — after he just murdered him. Once his mother, Augusta (Laurie Metcalf) finds out her son is dead, she has a stroke and later dies. All of this leads to becoming secluded in Plainfield, Wisconsin, where the murders ramp up. As Hunnam describes, “It’s really about mental health and the consequences of abuse and isolation.”

His dedication to portraying Ed was praised by co-star Suzanna Son, who plays Ed’s love interest in the show, the very morbidly curious Adeline Watkins. “What a gift to work alongside Charlie. He was in character, I would say 80 percent of the time, and that made my job all the easier because he’s building the world for me to live in,” she said.

Tyler Jacob Moore, who portrays the real-life Sheriff Schley who arrested Ed in 1957, added, “The first day was shocking. It never got easier to deal with him as Ed, because he was Ed when he was on set — the voice, his demeanor,” Moore told THR. “I was just genuinely shocked. Him being Ed in those moments was horrifying.”

Similarly, Brennan also told THR about how Hunnam brought “a deep sense of care” for the character. “From the very first time I sat down with him, I was like, ‘This guy is attacking it from the right angle.’ He was very much not interested in just playing a villain or a goul. He really wanted to find the person beneath all this illness,” Brennan said. “It’s just a spectacular performance. There’s a moment in episode seven, which was just one take, and it completely makes the whole show.” While it wasn’t clear what exact scene Brennan was referring to, there is a pivotal moment in episode seven where Ed is finally diagnosed with schizophrenia and gets medicated.

Brennan (co-creator of Glee, Scream Queens, Hollywood, The Watcher), who wrote all the episodes and co-directed it with Max Winkler, previously told THR in an interview published in August that this season of Monster was the one he was most impressed with creating. “It’s a really rich, very weird, extremely upsetting, very emotional, deeply funny season of television. I think it’s the most impressive season of television that I’ve ever been involved in,” he said.

All eight episodes of Monster: The Ed Gein Story are now streaming on Netflix.

Watch Jimmy Kimmel Address Suspension, Sarah McLachlan Perform on Kimmel

by jummy84 September 24, 2025
written by jummy84

Addressing his current relationship with the network, Kimmel said “we talked it through, and at the end, even though they didn’t have to…they welcomed me back on the air. Unfortunately and, I think, unjustly, this puts them at risk. The President of the United States made it very clear he wants to see me and the hundreds of people who work here fired from our jobs.” He concluded his monologue by discussing the speech given by Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, during a memorial service organized by Turning Point USA, the conservative organization he co-founded: “On Sunday, Erika Kirk forgave the man who shot her husband. That is an example we should follow. If you believe in the teachings of Jesus, as I do, there it was. That’s it. A selfless act of grace, forgiveness from a grieving widow. It touched me deeply. It touches many, and if there’s anything we should take from this tragedy to carry forward, it should be that, and not this.”

Notably, this evening’s episode of Kimmel did not air on all ABC stations nationwide. The TV station groups Sinclair and Nexstar, which together control over 20 percent of the network’s local affiliates, had previously announced that they would pre-empt the show indefinitely on their programming schedules. Nexstar is currently trying to close a $6.2 billion merger with a rival TV company that will require FCC approval.

Sarah McLachlan was the musical guest on Kimmel tonight. She performed a solo piano rendition of the title track from Better Broken, her forthcoming first album in seven years. McLachlan recently cancelled her scheduled performance at the premiere event for Disney+’s Lilith Fair: Building a Mystery documentary, which took place on Sunday, September 21, “in support of free speech.” Watch her sing “Better Broken” below as well.

Sarah McLachlan, Jewel, More Cancel ‘Lilith Fair’ Doc Performances

by jummy84 September 22, 2025
written by jummy84

Artists — including Sarah McLachlan and Jewel — scheduled to take the stage at the Los Angeles premiere of the new documentary Lilith Fair: Building a Mystery canceled their performances on Sunday in a move to stand for free speech. The film about the historic Nineties festival is being distributed by ABC New Studio, whose parent company Disney continues to deal with the fallout over its decision to suspend Jimmy Kimmel for his comments on Charlie Kirk’s death.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, invitations to the premiere promised “special surprise performances.” Sources revealed to THR that McLachlan and Jewel were set to perform. Puck‘s Matt Belloni also reported that Olivia Rodrigo, who appears in the documentary as well, was meant to be a surprise guest.

McLachlan introduced the film and confirmed that the performances were canceled due to Kimmel’s controversial suspension.

“It’s a gift for all of us to see [this film], but also I’ve grappled with being here tonight and around what to say about the present situation that we are all faced with, the stark contraction to the many advances we’ve made watching the insidious erosion of women’s rights, of trans and queer rights, the muzzling of free speech,” McLachlan said. “I think we’re all fearful for what comes next, and none of us know, but what I do know is that I have to keep pushing forward as an artist, as a woman to find a way through, and though I don’t begin to know what the answer is, I believe we all need to work towards a softening to let in the possibility of a better way, because I see music as a bridge to our shared humanity, to finding common ground.”

She continued: “If Lilith taught me anything, it taught me there is a great strength in coming together to lift each other up instead of tearing each other down. So I really hope this documentary inspires everyone to continue to try and create positive change in your communities, to keep lifting each other up, keep championing the causes you believe in with kindness and empathy because ultimately, we’re all in this together.”

As she wrapped up her remarks, she further explained why there would be no performances at the event. “I know you’re expecting a performance tonight, and I’m so grateful to all of you for coming, and I apologize if this is disappointing, but we have collectively decided not to perform but instead to stand in solidarity in support of free speech,” McLachlan said. “Thank you for your understanding.”

McLachlan joins many artists who have stood in solidarity with Kimmel, show was taken off air after station owners Nexstar and Sinclair said they wouldn’t air his show in the wake of his comments. Many have accused Disney of bowing to pressure from the Trump administration and suppressing freedom of speech. Jimmy Kimmel Live! has been suspended indefinitely.

Sarah Paulson helped her friend Katherine LaNasa through her first Primetime Emmy Awards

The 50-year-old actress said her pal gave her the nickname “Emmys coach” after Sarah told Katherine, 58, to stay calm and enjoy the awards bash – which was held at the Peacock Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles, California, on September 14.

Sarah told People: “She calls me her Emmys coach because I’ve been really fortunate to have gone and run that gauntlet a couple of times, and I’ve won and I’ve lost.

“I just sort of was trying to remind her of all the things that nobody was there to tell me about, which is to try to breathe and take it all in and enjoy the moment and just try to be where your feet are.”

The American Horror Story actress went on to share that Hollywood legend Jamie Lee Curtis, 66, had previously given her similar advice.

Sarah said of the Freakier Friday actress: “When I was going through a particularly anxious time … [Curtis] said, ‘More will be revealed. Be where your feet are.’ And so I said the same to Katherine.

“[It’s} this beautiful chain of women sharing with other women the things that they’ve learned and helping them sort of move through these very bizarre things that we’re asked to do in terms of Emmy Awards and all that stuff.”

This year’s Primetime Emmys proved to be an unforgettable night for Katherine as she bagged the Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series gong for her role as charge nurse Dana Evans in the HBO Max medical drama, The Pitt.

She said in her emotional acceptance speech: “Oh, I am so proud and honoured to receive this award from the Academy.

“My whole career, I wanted to work for John Wells [Executive Producer of The Pitt], and he elevates everything in his wake. John, I’m so much better when you’re around, mostly because I don’t want to get fired.

“Thank you, Scott Gemmill [Executive Producer of The Pitt], the writers and all the nurses that inspired Dana, Noah Wyle [who plays Dr. Michael “Robby” Rabinovitch in The Pitt], oh my God!”

And Katherine closed out her acceptance speech by thanking her family.

She said: “And lastly, my children [son Henry Hopper and daughter Eloise Show], for making me real and my beautiful husband, Grant Show, for helping me always with everything.”

This Look Sarah Pidgeon Wore as Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy on ‘American Love Story’ Is My Dream Fall Outfit

by jummy84 September 16, 2025
written by jummy84

Sometimes, paparazzi shots from a set can spoil the plot of the upcoming movie or series. But there is one advantage to losing the element of surprise: fashion inspo. A perfect example of this is a recent look worn by actor Sarah Pidgeon as she plays Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy on the set of American Love Story, a new series from Ryan Murphy about the style icon and her marriage to John F. Kennedy Jr.

In the 1990s Bessette-Kennedy made her mark in fashion, becoming a style icon that designers and fans alike pinned to their mood boards. She was the original queen of what we now call “quiet luxury.” She shaped her minimalist looks without frills, prints, or excessive accessories. Instead, she focused on well-tailored wardrobe essentials. At her wedding to JFK Jr., for example, she wore a simple white silk slip dress cut on the bias.

So naturally, images from the set of Murphy’s upcoming series about the couple, American Love Story, have found their way onto every Instagram feed. As a result, there’s been a renewed appreciation for the Bessette-Kennedy’s fashion.

Her minimalist style from the 1990s has proved to still be as relevant as ever, so it’s not surprising that I was recently taken with a photograph of Pidgeon as Bessette-Kennedy on the streets of New York. The actor was wearing a black knit cardigan, khaki pants, a pair of square-heeled sandals, and a Birkin bag.

Jose Perez/Bauer-Griffin/Getty Images

The look is so quintessentially “quiet luxury” that I instantly added it to my fall mood board. Assuming you’d like to do the same, I shopped out a few similar pieces for you, below.
