On September 13, the designers took to Instagram to share a glimpse of their designs inspired by the Goddesses ‘Lakṣmi, Parvati and Sarasvati’:

The collection features exquisite bridal wear

Rimple and Harpreet are renowned designers known for their exquisite Indian clothing, particularly bridal wear. Their lehengas are statement pieces, often featuring vibrant colours, intricate embroidery, and heavy embellishments.

Unsurprisingly, for their new photoshoot, Harnaaz embraced bridal wear in all its glory and left a mark. Heavy zardozi work, delicate detailing, and intricate gold and silver embroidery adorned the lehengas in bright colours like red, as well as more elegant and sublime ivory and pink shades.

The designers worked with high-quality materials like silk, net, and tulle to create stunning pieces that Harnaaz modelled in a new video – each lehenga she sported was perfect for grand bridal looks.

Harnaaz rocked Indian bridal look in the photoshoot

The bindi – a significant part of Indian bridal makeup, symbolising marital status – added elegance to Harnaaz’s overall look. She opted for rich, warm makeup tones like gold, bronze, and deep browns to create a traditional Indian bridal look. She balanced her big red bindi with glossy peach lips that complemented her outfits and skin tone, and wore heavy kajal in her eyes for an intense, captivating look.

Harnaaz, the 2021 Miss Universe winner, made her Bollywood debut in Baaghi 4 alongside Tiger Shroff. The action-packed thriller, directed by A Harsha and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, was released on September 5. She has appeared in Punjabi films before her Bollywood debut.

Darasing Khurana, actor and Commonwealth Global Youth Ambassador, recently shared a heartfelt moment of nostalgia as two of his former co-stars, Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu and Simratt Kaur, prepare for the release of their new films — both hitting theatres on the same day.

The trio first came together in 2022 with the Punjabi action-comedy Bai Ji Kuttange, directed by Smeep Kang. The film marked a milestone for all three: it was Khurana’s acting debut after winning the title of Mr. India International, while Harnaaz Sandhu made her first on-screen appearance before going on to win the coveted Miss Universe 2021 crown. Simratt Kaur, already making a name for herself in the South Indian film industry, rounded out the ensemble cast alongside veterans Dev Kharoud, Upasana Singh, and Gurpreet Ghuggi.

Since then, their careers have taken different directions. Harnaaz is now debuting in the high-octane Bollywood film Bhaaghi-4, starring alongside Tiger Shroff and Sonam Bajwa. Simrat, on the other hand, is gearing up for the release of The Bengal Files, a film that has been generating considerable anticipation, directed by Vivek Agnihotri.

Khurana took to Instagram to express his pride in seeing both women flourish, noting the unique coincidence of their films releasing on the same day. “It’s a moment of happiness and nostalgia,” he shared. “Having worked with both Harnaaz and Simrat early in their journeys, it’s incredible to now see them shine so brightly. I wish them both nothing but success and happiness as they take on this exciting new chapter, and may their hard work continue to inspire many.”

While Harnaaz and Simratt continue to captivate audiences on screen, Khurana himself has expanded his horizons beyond cinema. As the Commonwealth Global Youth Ambassador, he now works on international policymaking and advocacy, representing youth voices across nations.

Harnaaz Sandhu’s weight loss transformation has been quite impressive. After winning Miss Universe in 2021, she faced online criticism for her weight gain due to celiac disease, an autoimmune condition that made her body react negatively to gluten.

In the new Femina interview, Harnaaz highlighted how she underwent rigorous training in mixed martial arts, kickboxing, and weapons handling as part of her fitness routine for Baaghi 4.

She said, “When I signed Baaghi 4, I knew I had to bring both beauty and strength to the screen. I trained for months in mixed martial arts, kickboxing, and basic weapons handling. It wasn’t just about learning the moves; it was about building stamina, agility, and the right mental discipline. My coaches really pushed me to move like a fighter but with the grace and poise that comes naturally to me. It was the perfect fusion of my pageant discipline and an action star’s athleticism.”
