Samuel Guì Yang Shanghai Spring 2026 Collection

Founded by Samuel Guidong Yang in London in 2015, Samuel Guì Yang is today one of China’s most prominent fashion exports. Yang himself is also something of a hometown hero with a thoughtful East-meets-West aesthetic that has come to define New Chinese Style. Since 2017 Yang has been designing the collection alongside his partner and co-founder Erik Litzén. This season, they celebrated the label’s 10th anniversary with a show at the Rockbund Art Museum, a beautiful example of Shanghai’s unique blend of eastern and western architecture that has sat at the intersection of the Huangpu River and the Suzhou Creek since 1932.

“It felt nice to be able to be nostalgic about what we’ve done,” Litzén said, “even though it’s hard for designers to be nostalgic because you want to make something new.” Yang expanded: “You have memories, and then you can create—you cannot create on nothing. It felt good to reflect on what we have done and be honest about it.”

The collection did include some reissues, like a rubber sweater vest from an early outing and their original red dress, first introduced in 2017. A particularly stunning piece was a jacket first from 2019 that’s tailored and slim but fills out at the hip. All were made with better fabrics and the precise cutting they’re known for. Watching the show it felt like a privilege to witness designers like these evolve over time.

But there was also newness, most of it very good and executed with confidence. “When you have 10 years under your belt you take more chances,” Litzén said. Their newfound boldness came primarily in the shape of interesting volumes: a ballgown-like apron, a grand shoulder drape, some dramatic wraps, and even a pretty fabulous veil on a baseball cap. These punctuated the pragmatism of great trousers, easy eveningwear, and some fantastic windbreakers. “I think we managed to get a good flow,” Litzén concluded.

Apropos, the duo said that for this collection they ruminated on the lunar cycle and its effect on tides and waves—the ebb and flow of energy, the natural rhythm of the ocean. It’s a poetic way of reflecting on their own growth, but it had a practical effect on their collection, too. These were clothes that looked as good coming as they did going. “We wanted something that felt grand, like a big wave,” said Yang. May the next decade be just that.

Sylvester Stallone opened up about what it felt like to welcome Samuel L Jackson to the cast of Paramount+ hit series Tulsa King. Speaking about Season 3, the 79-year-old actor admitted he was initially nervous when he heard Jackson would be joining the crime drama.

“When I heard that was gonna happen, I went, ‘Oh, this is gonna be a fist fight. This is gonna be a battle,’” Stallone told People. Stallone added that it is like having two boxers in a ring, and wondering who would throw the first punch. “So you are getting nervous because you are dealing with serious competition,” he added.

Stallone plays Dwight ‘The General’ Manfredi, a mafia capo building an empire in Oklahoma. Jackson, 76, joined as Russell Lee Washington Jr, an ex-con assigned to eliminate Manfredi.

Despite his early nerves, Stallone said any tension evaporated the moment Jackson arrived on set. He even joked that the two of them could even star in a spin-off together: Tulsa King and Buddy.

“We are good, we are flowing,” Stallone said, and explained, “We just worked that well together.”

Although this marks their first on-screen collaboration, Stallone revealed that they lived only a hundred yards apart in Los Angeles for decades, though their busy careers meant they only crossed paths at events, People reported.

Sylvester Stallone on Samuel L. Jackson’s confidence

Stallone likened Jackson’s presence to a heavyweight fighter stepping into the ring, praising his “relaxed confidence” and ability to command a scene. “That takes years to develop,” Stallone remarked, and added that Jackson ‘pops’ in the streaming format, according to another Gold Derby report.

Jackson, meanwhile, is also expanding within the franchise. He will lead a spin-off series titled NOLA King, where his character will return to Louisiana to establish his own criminal operation.

Sylvester Stallone on his journey

According to People, Sylvester Stallone reflected on how his journey evolved from being a struggling actor to becoming an Oscar-winning actor. “You are just trying to survive. You’re not really aware of the chaos it’s all enveloped in,” he said. “I told myself, ‘You’re probably not going to make it. But I don’t want to have any damn regrets. You give this decision 100%, not 99%.'”

Now, approaching his 80s, Stallone can look back and be proud of what he’s done and what he has left behind, reported People. “When you lay back and you’re looking [at your life], you just say, ‘Dear Lord, I tried my best. I didn’t hold back anything. So that’s really what my legacy is, that I didn’t quit.’”

What’s next for Tulsa King?

Season 3 of Tulsa King is currently streaming on Paramount+ with new episodes dropping every Sunday. The season also introduces Stallone’s daughter, Scarlet, in an expanded role and features new cast additions, including Kevin Pollak and Dana Delaney, Gold Derby reported.

Paramount+ has already confirmed a fourth season, signalling that Stallone and Jackson’s on-screen partnership could just be getting started.

Earth’ Star Samuel Blenkin Breaks Down Boy Kavalier’s Shady Deal With Yutani in Episode 6 (Exclusive)

by jummy84 September 10, 2025

[Warning: The below contains MAJOR spoilers for Alien: Earth, Season 1 Episode 6, “The Fly.”]

Alien: Earth continues to explore the growing tensions between corporations Prodigy and Weyland-Yutani in the show’s latest installment, “The Fly,” which stages a pivotal negotiation between Boy Kavalier (Samuel Blenkin) and Yutani (Sandra Yi Sencindiver).

As viewers recall, Episode 5 revealed that Boy Kavalier’s Prodigy had infiltrated and orchestrated the crash of USCSS Maginot on Earth, with the intention of claiming the alien cargo aboard it. Finally, the corporations come face to face at a hearing during which Kavalier sits back and throws his bare feet up on the table.

Yutani makes the argument that the cargo aboard the ship is Weyland-Yutani property that must be returned, while Kavalier lays out the reality of that cargo in front of a mediator representing the governance known as the Five; he is gaslighting to the extreme, suggesting Yutani aimed to attack Prodigy territory.

While Kavalier agrees to deliver Yutani’s ship back to her, so long as it doesn’t knock over his building further, the pair end up in a bidding war over the extraterrestrial cargo. Kavalier argues that if she wants it back, she’ll have to pay, as he drives the price higher and higher. Yutani goes so far as to offer $50 billion, to which he seems to agree, before reminding her she can retrieve it after the required quarantine.

“He’s going into this meeting with that little trick up his sleeve, which gives a little bit of light in your eyes as you go in,” Blenkin tells TV Insider about Kavalier’s approach to the pivotal conversation. “But I think also he’s just a character who doesn’t believe it’s possible for him to lose,” Blenkin adds.

In a way, Blenkin notes that the blind confidence his character carries likely comes from a place in which he’s never really faced consequences. “The recklessness goes so far because I don’t think he’s ever had anything come back to bite him in his life. We all go through those little moments in our lives when we have our little comeuppances, and what’s funny about him is that he hasn’t learned many lessons.”

According to the star, during filming, “We didn’t really have air conditioning in there, so it was hot and intense, and it really felt like a kind of pressure cooker situation.” Despite the tense nature of the conversation, though, Blenkin notes, “Sandra and I had a great time.” The scene was almost more extreme as well as Blenkin reveals when he was rehearsing with director Ugla Hauksdóttir, “I had the idea of getting up on the table and stuff… she let me push it a little bit too far.”

Ultimately, he says, “I got up on the table and she was like, I’m not sure if it’s gonna work because it’s meant to be a business meeting, it’s a professional meeting.” Still, Blenkin adds, “My instinct with this character is that you might as well just go the whole hog as long as the performance is not completely like a caricature. He’s an affected person because he’s his own hero in his own hero’s journey.”

Perhaps that explains Boy Kavalier’s fascination with Peter Pan, whose stories he reads over the intercoms to his hybrid creations. The choice to interpret the text for his own narrative is something Blenkin says is “quite on trend.”

“In this case, a trillionaire… having a really formative reading experience that he’s clearly really attached to this book, but completely misinterpreting the point of the book. I really love that.  I love that he doesn’t even stop to think twice about whether the book might have a different meaning,” Blenkin adds, hinting at his impressionable and mostly indestructible hybrids.

What will playing with aliens and Yutani mean for Boy Kavalier? Stay tuned to find out and let us know what you thought of his deal-making moment in the comments section.

Another season of Tulsa King is near.

On Tuesday, Paramount+ released the official trailer for the upcoming third season of the Sylvester Stallone-led crime series. And in this season, Samuel L. Jackson is introduced to the cast, playing a character named Russell Lee Washington Jr.

The trailer begins with Kevin Pollak’s Special Agent Musso, saying to Dwight Manfredi (Stallone): “What do you want from me?” to which Musso responds: “I own you, General.” Also introduced is the new castmember, Jeremiah Dunmire (Robert Patrick), a powerful person in the liquor business.

Here is the logline: “As Dwight’s (Stallone) empire expands, so do his enemies and the risks to his crew. Now, he faces his most dangerous adversaries in Tulsa yet: the Dunmires, a powerful old-money family that doesn’t play by old-world rules, forcing Dwight to fight for everything he’s built and protect his family.”

The third season comes off the success of season two, which drew in 21.1 million global viewers. Tulsa King was the No. 1 global Paramount+ original series in 2024. The show follows mafia capo, Dwight, 25 years after he’s released from prison, building a new crew after realizing his mob family doesn’t have his best interests.

Toward the end of the trailer, Dwight says to Russell as he approaches him in a bar: “Is that a ghost?,” to which Russell responds: “I bet ain’t nobody seen that coming.” Jackson’s Russell is also set to lead his own spinoff series, NOLA King.

Martin Starr, Jay Will, Annabella Sciorra, Neal McDonough, Robert Patrick, Beau Knapp, Bella Heathcote, Chris Caldovino, McKenna Quigley Harrington, Mike “Cash Flo” Walden, Kevin Pollak, Vincent Piazza, Frank Grillo, Michael Beach, James Russo, Garrett Hedlund and Dana Delany round out the cast.

Dave Erickson is the showrunner. MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios produce the series. Taylor Sheridan, Stallone, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Jim McKay, Sheri Elwood, Ildy Modrovich and Keith Co serve as executive producers.

Season three will premiere on Sept. 21.
