Sonakshi and Zaheer tied the knot in a private civil ceremony at her Bandra home, but the absence of her brothers, Luv and Kussh Sinha, from the wedding photos sparked speculation about tension within the family.

Speaking to Siddharth Kannan, Pooja addressed the gossip, saying, “I’m not here to give gossip. I’ve met Zaheer, and he’s one of the funniest men I’ve ever met. I love him! People are so jobless to spread such rumours. Kussh and Sonakshi worked together on a film, ‘Nikita Roy’—would that happen if they weren’t on good terms? The whole family even appeared together on ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show.’ People just love to gossip.”
She further praised the couple’s relationship, calling it full of love and warmth. “The family is very close-knit. People love to create stories out of thin air. Families have their ups and downs, but they always stand together. Just because people talk doesn’t make it true,” she said.
