Indian married couple shares 4 ‘slightly unhinged rules’ it follows to make relationship work: ‘We don’t talk to…’

A relationship, especially marriage, take a lot of work from both partners. It requires equal contribution, whether it be emotional, physical or mental. Moreover, the amount of effort you put into making things work can vary from time to time.

These unhinged rules helped the couple be ‘grounded, close, and a little bit sane.’ (Freepik)

There are no set rules that can ensure your relationship will be a success. Many things people learn come from experience and spending quality time with their partners. However, there is no harm in learning a few key things from couples. One such couple is content creator, Bhavna Jain, and her husband, Sachin Jain. On November 11, they shared ‘slightly unhinged rules’ in their marriage.

According to them, they don’t have a perfect marriage, but they do have their own rules: “The kind that don’t come from books, podcasts, or ‘relationship experts’ but from real arguments, awkward silences, and a lot of growing up together.”

also They revealed that these unhinged rules keep them ‘grounded, close, and a little bit sane.’ Because, according to them, marriage isn’t about doing what everyone says is ‘right’ or the ‘right rules. Rather, they wrote, “It’s about figuring out what actually works for you both and creating rules that feel right for YOU. The ones that make both of you feel safe, seen, and understood.”

Here are the ‘slightly unhinged rules’ the couple follows:

Rule #1: Going to bed angry sometimes is okay.

According to Bhavna and Sachin, they do go to bed angry sometimes, because ‘not every fight needs to be resolved the same night.’ The couple stressed that sometimes you need time to understand each other’s perspective and talk with a calm mind the next day.

Rule #2: No phones or screens once we enter the bedroom.

The couple stressed following the ‘no phones or screens once we enter the bedroom’ rule. According to Bhavna and Sachin, the bedroom is a space that belongs to them, and screens act as a distraction. “No distractions, no scrolling, and no blue light – just conversations, cuddles, or silence that feels safe,” they emphasised.

Rule #3: Giving space

“When one of us says. ‘I need space,’ the other one actually gives it. No guilt-tripping, no overthinking. Love doesn’t mean constant closeness -sometimes it means knowing when to step back,” the couple shared.

Rule #4: We don’t talk to anyone else about our relationship.

According to the couple, the fourth rule to follow is: never talk about your relationship with others. “No parents, no friends, no ‘just venting.’ Because once you let too many voices in, you stop hearing your partner,” they explained.

Rule #5: Date nights

According to Bhavna and Sachin, they plan 2 to 3 date nights every month to keep the romance alive. “No guests, no phones, no pressure. Sometimes it’s dinner at home, sometimes it’s coffee on the balcony – but we talk,” they revealed.

How did the internet react?

Many Instagram users commended the couple and posted comments, such as “Incredible,” “Good words of advice,” and “Absolutely agree.” A person also commented, “Divorce rates would drastically go down if couples actually acted sensibly.” Meanwhile, a user referred to their rules as the ‘bare minimum.’

While you may not agree that couples should have ‘rules’ that help the relationship grow, it is necessary to understand what works for you and partner specifically, and makes both of you feel feel safe, respected, and understood as there’s no universal formula for a successful relationship. What matters most is communication, mutual respect, and the willingness to adapt and grow.

Neurosurgeon with 33 years of experience shares 3 rules to control body weight: ‘For 21 days…’

When trying to manage your body weight, your primary focus typically centres on adjusting your diet to support fat loss and incorporating regular gym workouts. However, it is also important to train your mind by taking other simple steps, because that will ensure you have a sustainable weight loss journey.

Start simple, not with what you eat, but when you eat. Eat only when the sun shines. Sundown, hands down. (Picture credits: Freepik)

In an Instagram post shared on October 6, Dr Prashant Katakol, a neurosurgeon with 33 years of experience in preventative healthcare, highlighted the importance of training your mind and developing sustainable habits to manage body weight. Let’s find out what he said:

How to manage your body weight in 3 steps?

Dr Katakol shared stage 1 of weight loss in his post. According to the neurosurgeon, in stage 1, if someone is trying to control their weight, they should start with three important rules that will help them lead a healthy and happy lifestyle, in their best shape.

Here are the 3 steps the neurosurgeon suggested:

Step 1: Start simple, not with what you eat, but when you eat. Eat only when the sun shines. Sundown, hands down.

Step 2: Fix the number of meals you have in a day: 1, 2, or 3—your choice. But no snacks in between.

Step 3: Don’t change what you eat just yet. Just focus on maintaining the timings. Maintain the same meal timings every day for 21 days.

What happens when you follow these rules for 21 days?

According to the neurosurgeon, when you follow these rules for 21 continuous days, your brain will lock them in as a habit. Dr Prashant Katakol stressed, “These 3 rules train your brain and metabolism, not just your body. These are the rules for stage 1.”

Wondering what a healthy plate of food looks like? Recently, in an interview with The Lallantop, Dr Naveen Bhamri, director and HOD (Interventional Cardiology), Max Super Speciality Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, Delhi, with 26 years of experience, shared what a truly “perfect Indian thali” looks like. Navratri 2025: Fasting rules to follow, what to eat and avoid during the 9-day festival of Shardiya Navratri

written by jummy84

Navratri 2025: Shardiya Navratri is just around the corner, and devotees of Maa Durga are preparing to celebrate the nine-day festival with great devotion and enthusiasm. This year, it will be observed from Pratipada to Navami of Ashwin Shukla Paksha, falling between September 22 and October 2. During this period, devotees worship Maa Durga’s nine forms, known as the Navadurgas. (Also read: Navratri 2025 calendar: When is Shardiya Navratri? Know correct dates and auspicious colours of all 9 days of festival )

Fasting is a significant part of the festival. Across the country, many devotees observe day-long fasts throughout Navratri, while some follow the tradition of “jodas,” fasting on two days out of the nine. Regardless of whether one is fasting, devotees are advised to follow certain dos and don’ts during this auspicious period.

Rules to follow during Navratri fasting

  • Navratri fasting is not just about abstaining from certain foods, it also involves lifestyle practices and guidelines:
  • Avoid strict fasting if you are a small child, elderly, pregnant, or nursing.
  • Skip regular salt, meat, eggs, onions, and garlic; use rock salt (sendha namak) instead.
  • Stay away from alcohol, cigarettes, and drugs.
  • Stay hydrated with water, milk, and fresh fruit juices.
  • Wake up early, take a bath, wear fresh clothes, and offer prayers to Maa Durga.

  • Black clothing is considered inauspicious during this period.
  • Avoid haircuts, nail treatments, or shaving.
  • Both men and women can observe the fast; if nine days is difficult, fasting for a few days is acceptable.
  • Evening meals should be sattvic, fruits, milk, and juices are suitable for daytime consumption.
  • Charity and helping others are encouraged.
  • On Ashtami and Navami, Kanya Pujan is performed, where young girls are worshipped as manifestations of Goddess Durga.

Foods you can eat during Navratri

1. Flours: Buckwheat, rajgira, and water chestnut flour for rotis, puris, and other dishes.

2. Sabudana: Sago is used to make khichdi, vadas, and kheer.

3. Fruits and Dairy: Fresh fruits, milk, yoghurt, and homemade juices.

4. Vegetables: Gourd, potato, spinach, tomato, and capsicum.

5. Rock salt: Use instead of regular salt.

6. Samak eice: Also called Varai or Barnyard Millet, a substitute for regular rice.

Foods to avoid during Navratri

1. Wheat, rice, and their products

2. Pulses and beans

3. Onion and garlic

4. Meat, fish, and eggs

5. Alcohol, cigarettes, and drugs

6. Packed or canned foods

Fitness coach says ‘walk like your life depends on it’, shares 10 rules to melt belly fat and get lean by New Year

by jummy84 September 15, 2025
written by jummy84

From late-night snacking to lack of exercise, belly fat builds up faster than we realise. If you’ve been struggling to tone your midsection, fitness coach Dan Go shares in his September 14 Instagram post 10 simple yet powerful tips to help you get back in shape by the New Year.

Check out 10 simple tips to reduce belly fat and improve health by year-end. (Freepik)

If you want to get rid of your belly fat by the end of the year, ‘copy this,’ wrote Dan.

Here are his 10 recommendations to help you get there:

1. Stop drinking alcohol

Alcohol disrupts hormones that regulate appetite, hunger, and stress. It’s also packed with empty calories, which makes it easier to gain belly fat. Want a slimmer waistline? Cut out alcohol.

2. Match carbs to your activity level

Carbohydrates are your body’s fuel. If you’re mostly sedentary, eat fewer carbs. If you’re active, eat more. Think of carbs as energy tools, use them to fit your lifestyle.

3. Follow the Lean Body Water System

Drink water when you wake up. Drink water before and after meals, but not while eating. Replace snacks with water between meals. Staying hydrated helps you feel fuller and prevents overeating.

4. Eat a protein-rich, nutrient-dense diet

Aim for 0.8–1 gram of protein per pound of body weight. Get 90% of your calories from whole, unprocessed foods. Protein keeps you full, while fibre-rich foods help control appetite.

5. Build muscle in the gym

Cardio burns fewer calories than most people think. Weight training builds muscle, boosts metabolism, and helps you burn fat even at rest. Want lasting fat loss? Prioritise strength training.

6. Manage stress

High stress increases cortisol, which drives appetite and belly fat storage. Beat stress by walking, practising mindfulness, or spending time in nature. Remember: recovery matters.

7. Prioritise quality sleep

Poor sleep increases appetite, lowers energy, and spikes hunger. Research shows sleeping less than 5.5 hours can lead to eating 385+ extra calories daily. For a slimmer belly, sleep better.

8. Do sprints or HIIT once a week

Sprinting and high-intensity interval training (HIIT) fire up metabolism, boost fat burning, and keep calories burning long after your workout. They’re especially effective for abdominal fat.

9. Avoid trans fats

Trans fats fuel inflammation, insulin resistance, and belly fat gain. They’re often hidden in margarine, chips, and fried foods. Always read labels and cut them out.

10. Walk like your life depends on it

Brisk walking burns calories, improves insulin sensitivity, lowers stress, and promotes steady fat loss. It’s simple, low-impact, and one of the best long-term habits for shrinking belly fat.

“Having too much belly fat is ugly, messes with our hormones, shrinks the brain, and can lead to decreased lifespan. Follow these 10 rules and watch that belly fat disappear,” concludes Dan.

Taylor Swift won’t be deposed, judge rules

by jummy84 September 13, 2025
written by jummy84

13 September 2025

Taylor Swift will not be deposed by Justin Baldoni’s legal team.

Taylor Swift won’t be deposed

The It Ends With Us filmmaker had called on the Karma hitmaker to sit for a legal meeting with the Karma singer as part of his ongoing legal battle with Blake Lively – who is suing him and his production company Wayferer Studios for sexual harassment and retaliation – but now the federal judge overseeing the case has declined a request to extend a deadline so that Taylor can sit for a deposition after the release of her The Life of a Showgirl album.

Judge Lewis Liman wrote in a four-page order obtained by Deadline: “The Wayfarer Parties contend that their requested extension is necessary because Swift’s preexisting professional obligations now prevent her from being deposed within the current discovery window.

“The Wayfarer Parties have not similarly demonstrated good cause for their requested extension. The only justification they have provided for the extension is their assertion that Swift’s preexisting professional obligations now prevent her from appearing for a deposition prior to October 20, 2025.

“Importantly, however, the Wayfarer Parties have provided no discussion of when they began attempting to schedule the deposition. Discovery has been ongoing in this case for approximately six months.

“The Wayfarer Parties previously requested Swift’s deposition in May 2025 before ultimately withdrawing the subpoena. They have offered no evidence that they have served a renewed subpoena on Swift. Thus, at most, the Wayfarer Parties have demonstrated that scheduling the deposition now presents logistical difficulties; that does not answer the question of why the deposition ’could not have been conducted earlier.’

“Having failed to demonstrate appropriate diligence, the requested extension is denied.”

At the same time, the judge agreed to Blake’s request for a 10-day extention on depositions for Justin and his Wayfarer Studios co-founders, Steve Sarowitz and Jamey Heath.

Taylor’s lawyer had made it clear that the 35-year-old pop megastar had not agreed to the deposition but would do so “if forced”.

Taylor Swift has not agreed to be deposed in the Justin Baldoni / Blake Lively case but will do so “if forced”.

According to PEOPLE, her lawyer Doug Baldridge of Venable LLP said she only learned of the deposition request from Baldoni’s team three days ago.

He said in a letter: “Further, my client did not agree to a deposition, but if she is forced into a deposition, we advised (after first hearing about the deposition just three days ago) that her schedule would accommodate the time required during the week of October 20 if the parties were able to work out their disputes.”

The case, Blake Lively v. Wayfarer Studios LLC, et al, is scheduled to go to trial in March 2026.

Losing weight can be a challenging journey, filled with trial and error, fad diets, and sometimes unhealthy shortcuts. Many people learn important lessons only after facing setbacks or unexpected results. A woman named Kate Daniel, who successfully lost over 70 kgs, shares in her Instagram post 7 things she will never do again for weight loss, offering valuable insights for anyone trying to shed pounds safely and sustainably. (Also read: Woman who lost 70+ kgs shares 5 daily habits that helped her lose weight and keep it off: ‘The real challenge was…’ )

Kate shares 7 things she’ll never so again on her weight loss journey.(Instagram/@bariatric_chic)

Kate opens up about her long struggle with weight loss. “I spent years stuck in the same cycle, starting a new diet every Monday, telling myself this time would be different, only to end up right back where I started. I tried everything, every diet, tracking every calorie, punishing myself with workouts, obsessing over the scale, and none of it worked long term,” she says.

She adds, “It wasn’t just about eating less, it was about relearning how to think about food, movement, and my body. Here are 7 things I’ll never do again and why it changed everything.”

Let’s take a look at her recommendations:

1. Stopped the ‘start over Monday’ mentality

Kate says, “One off meal doesn’t erase progress. Every choice is a chance to move forward, not a reason to restart. Letting go of all-or-nothing thinking changed everything.”

2. Ate to fuel, not deprive

She shares, “After bariatric surgery, it’s about giving my body what it needs, not punishing it. No more strict diet rules, just food that makes me feel good.”

3. Moved for strength, not punishment

According to Kate, “Movement became something I get to do, not have to do. It’s about feeling strong, energised, and capable, not just burning calories.”

4. Freed myself from scale

She explains, “The number doesn’t define me. I measure progress through energy, confidence, and how I feel in my body, not a fluctuating number.”

5. Trusted hunger and fullness cues

Kate adds, “I stopped ignoring my body. No more eating because it’s ‘time’ or stopping because an app says so. I trust my own hunger and fullness signals.”

6. Took action despite overthinking

She says, “I used to wait for the perfect moment. Now, I act even when it’s messy and progress beats perfection every time.”

7. Embraced lifelong learning

Kate explains, “Weight loss isn’t a finish line. My body, mind, and needs keep evolving. Thriving means staying open, learning, and growing constantly.”

Karan Johar Defends Bollywood’s Big-Budget Films: ‘Box Office Has No Rules’

by jummy84 September 5, 2025
written by jummy84

Filmmaker Karan Johar, who is backing Teja Sajja’s upcoming film Mirai, recently defended the Bollywood industry amidst a year of underperforming big-budget productions. Speaking at a press meet for the film, he was asked if high production costs and inflated star fees were to blame, but he dismissed the notion, stressing that “every film has its own destiny.”

”All the actors have started understanding now that they have to contribute to the film’s vision,” he explained, stating that they are becoming more cooperative. He argued against placing films into a rigid box of expectations, saying, “You can’t say anything for sure.” He added that a film’s success is not guaranteed by a big vision or young actors, citing multiple examples of such films that have failed.

Karan emphasized that different eras bring different narratives, and that the audience ultimately determines a film’s success. He used two recent examples to support his point that there are no rules for the box office. He mentioned Saiyaara, a massive success starring a debutant, which earned an impressive ₹569.75 crore at the box office against a reported budget of ₹50 crore. He also highlighted the success of the animated film Mahavatar Narsimha, which grossed ₹319 crore worldwide.

Ultimately, Karan stressed that storytelling remains the cornerstone of cinema and that the audience’s verdict is what truly matters.

Directed by Karthik Gattamneni and Anil Anand, Mirai stars Teja Sajja, Shriya Saran, and Jayaram and is scheduled for release on September 12. Karan Johar’s other upcoming production, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, directed by Shashank Khaitan and starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, is slated for release on October 2.

The New Currency of Nutrition — and Why Greespi Already Plays by These Rules – Hollywood Life

by jummy84 August 27, 2025

Introduction: A New Dimension of Food

We’ve learned to look at food through numbers. Calories, grams of protein, percentages of daily values for vitamins. These figures are convenient; they create a sense of control. But there is another, quieter, less obvious measure that changes everything.

It doesn’t appear in bold on labels. It’s rarely mentioned in commercials. Yet it defines whether food truly becomes part of you.

That measure is bioavailability — the share of nutrients that make it from food into your blood and cells in a form ready for use.

And here lies the point: in today’s world, foods with high bioavailability are rare. Greespi is one of them.

_______________________________________________________________________________

1. After the Era of “Nutritional Quantity”

For decades, nutrition science has been obsessed with quantity. We counted calories, chased protein records, competed over vitamin C content. Products turned into number games: “20% more calcium,” “twice the protein.”

The problem is that these numbers are just the tip of the iceberg. They show potential but don’t guarantee results. If the body can’t actually use those nutrients, they remain nothing more than dead weight.

_______________________________________________________________________________

2. Why Numbers Don’t Equal Benefits

Imagine two people eat the same product with 20 grams of protein. One absorbs 18 grams, the other only 9. The difference is twofold, even though the composition is identical.

The reason lies in how that protein is packaged within the product’s food matrix, what molecules it interacts with, and how easily the body can recognize it.

The same goes for vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Numbers on a label ≠ nutrients in your blood.

_______________________________________________________________________________

3. Bioavailability: The Hidden Measure of Quality

Bioavailability is not just “absorption.” It’s the integration of nutrients into your metabolism.

It depends on three key factors:

  1. The nutrient’s form — natural or synthetic, active or inert.
  2. The food matrix — the microstructure where nutrients are placed, and how it interacts with digestive enzymes.
  3. Internal synergy — the presence of compounds that either facilitate or hinder absorption.

Scientific studies confirm: the form of a nutrient and its food matrix directly affect its ultimate effectiveness [PubMed, 2019].

_______________________________________________________________________________

4. The Food Matrix: An Architecture That Decides a Product’s Fate

In fresh, minimally processed foods, nutrients are woven into a complex cellular structure. This living architecture brings proteins, fats, minerals, pigments, and enzymes together as a single ecosystem.

This form feels “familiar” to the body. It doesn’t trigger rejection, nor does it require unnecessary metabolic conversions.

Most industrial processing destroys this architecture:

  • thermally — by heating above 70°C (160°F),
  • mechanically — through aggressive grinding and drying,
  • chemically — via extraction, solvents, or stabilizers.

After that, nutrients may still be present, but their “delivery addresses” are erased.

_______________________________________________________________________________

5. Greespi: Preservation as a Strategy

Greespi was created with the principle of minimal interference in the natural form of food.
Through cultivation and cryostabilization technology, it preserves the original cellular architecture, where nutrients remain bound within their natural ecosystem.

This means:

  • proteins maintain their correct spatial configuration, accessible to enzymes,
  • vitamins do not oxidize and retain their active form,
  • minerals remain in complexes the body naturally recognizes.

The result: high metabolic compatibility. The body begins working with these nutrients almost immediately.

_______________________________________________________________________________

6. Beyond “Fortification”

The food industry often compensates for nutrient losses with fortification. Vitamin D is added to powdered milk, synthetic iron complexes to cereals.

But synthetic isolates don’t always replicate natural effectiveness. They may be only partly absorbed or even compete with other nutrients for cellular transport.

Greespi takes a different route: not to rebuild what’s been lost, but to prevent the loss from the very beginning.

_______________________________________________________________________________

7. Bioavailability as a Strategic Advantage

Foods with high bioavailability deliver:

  • greater effects from smaller portions — less load on digestion,
  • steadier cellular nutrition — without sharp energy crashes,
  • fewer metabolic byproducts — reduced strain on the liver and kidneys.

This isn’t just about food — it’s about the quality of how your body works.
EFSA reports emphasize that nutrient bioavailability must be a key parameter in evaluating their effectiveness [EFSA Journal, 2021].

_______________________________________________________________________________

8. Greespi in the Context of Today

We live in a time when urban lifestyles often mean eating quickly, irregularly, and relying on products that have lost much of their natural value before they even reach the table.

In this reality, Greespi sets an example of what the new standard of functional nutrition can look like:

  • preserved natural structure,
  • high metabolic compatibility,
  • a strategic focus on bioavailability.

_______________________________________________________________________________

Conclusion

The food of the future will not be measured by numbers alone.
The new criterion is how well it works with your body, integrates into its processes, and nourishes without losses.

Greespi demonstrates that functional food can preserve its natural effectiveness and act as a true partner to your body. This is not the exception — it’s the new norm we are just beginning to discover.
