A video shared by a Shah Rukh fan club shows the 59-year-old star turning back the clock and dancing to Ladki Badi Anjaani Hai from his 1998 film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.

Raghav laughed and said, “Yeh T-shirt pehen ke waha par pohcha huwa hai. Aur log has rahe hai, Aryan has raha hai, sab has rahe hai. Woh kar sakta hai, woh toh aisa hi hai na. Hum nahi kar sakte na. Pure party me aise hi ghum raha tha, T-shirt dikha dikha ke, sabko (He showed up there wearing that T-shirt, and everyone is laughing! Aryan’s laughing, the crowd’s laughing, the whole place is cracking up. But of course, he can pull it off, that’s just the kind of person he is. We couldn’t do that even if we tried. They are still reigning, but I’m saying when they were in the prime of doing what they were, and Bollywood was very different as a business than what it is today.”

He further added, “You see youngsters today, and you see very young actors today. But the general understanding of what an actor was very different, I remember even Abhishek Bachchan had his launch around when I was growing up and he was also in his late 20s or maybe early 30s I’m not quite sure but refugee right and he was like this man- man like when he came like but today’s let’s say the people who get launched are like boyish so at my time nobody was launching boys as film actors so there was no option but to do television or do theater.”

Karan opened up about the need for money. He said, “ Let’s say if I wanted to become an actor, but because I was not really an actor, going to the theatre would have been a very different journey, plus I also needed money. The whole idea was making money, and this industry definitely gives you more money than, let’s say, a job.”

According to the study, Khan dominated the early 2000s, starring in eight of the 25 most popular films released between 2000 and 2004.

He also headlined the top movie for five consecutive years during this period.

His enduring stardom has ensured that even in years without a release, he remained a constant presence on IMDb’s Popular Indian Celebrities list, featuring in the top 10 every week of 2024.

Khan said it is encouraging for him to see the impact his films have had on people.

“It’s pleasantly surprising and encouraging to see the impact films that I have been a part of have made. The goal has always been to entertain people and win over their love through storytelling. It’s always been my belief that the power of cinema lies in the fact that it can transcend boundaries of language and culture,” he said in a statement.
