Guns N’ Roses Address Axl Rose’s Onstage Outburst in Buenos Aires

by jummy84 October 25, 2025
written by jummy84

Guns N’ Roses have issued a statement addressing frontman Axl Rose’s apparent outburst during the band’s Oct. 18 concert in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

During the opening number “Welcome to the Jungle” at Estadio Huracán, Rose was seen kicking the bass drum, throwing his microphone toward the drum kit, and walking offstage after removing his leather jacket. The vocalist later returned to the stage and told the crowd, “So, I’ll just try and wing this.”

On Tuesday (Oct. 22), the band released a statement via social media explaining the cause of the disruption. According to the post, the issue stemmed from an in-ear monitor malfunction.

“During the opening song at our recent Buenos Aires concert, Axl’s in-ear monitor pack had only the percussion in his ears versus his entire mix,” the statement read. “The issue was fixed by our tech team by the third song, and we had a great night. The situation had nothing to do with Isaac Carpenter’s playing, who is top-notch and a great drummer.”

Following the incident, online speculation had suggested Rose’s reaction may have been directed at Carpenter, who joined Guns N’ Roses earlier this year after longtime drummer Frank Ferrer exited the lineup. The band’s statement clarified that the drummer was not at fault.

The moment marked a rare public outburst for Rose in recent years. Although the singer was known for unpredictable stage behavior during the band’s early days, Guns N’ Roses’ reunion era has largely avoided such incidents. Since reuniting in 2016, the group has consistently delivered full-scale shows as part of one of rock’s most successful reunion runs.

Guns N’ Roses to Embark on US Tour in 2026

by jummy84 October 24, 2025
written by jummy84

Guns N’ Roses have toured extensively internationally this year, but haven’t played the United States since November 2023. According to Slash, the band is “definitely doing a US run next year.”

Slash revealed the news during an appearance on the SiriusXM show Trunk Nation, after host Eddie Trunk asked him flat out if GN’R were planning to announce any US shows in the near future. “I can say, we’re definitely doing a US run next year,” responded the guitarist, who added, “[An announcement will] be coming soon, so I can safely say that that’s happening. So we’ve been doing a bunch of international stuff all year so we have to come back to the States, so we planned for next year.”

Earlier this month, Slash told Guitar World that Guns N’ Roses have “so much material” for a new album, and that the long-awaited follow-up to Chinese Democracy is “coming.”

Watch Axl Rose throw mic at and kick new Guns N’ Roses drummer’s kit before storming off stage in Argentina

Axl Rose has kicked and thrown his mic at new Guns N’ Roses drummer Isaac Carpenter’s kit and stormed off stage at a show in Argentina.

The band are in the middle of a South American tour and on Saturday (October 18), they played the second of two shows at Estadio Huracan in Buenos Aires. During the show’s opening number ‘Welcome To The Jungle’, the frontman appeared to lose his temper and take it out on the drumkit.

After finishing the song’s chorus, he threw his microphone at the kit, tore off his leather jacket and stormed off stage. Elsewhere in the show, he walked up the drum riser and directly kicked the bass drum.

“So, I’ll just try and wing this,” he told the crowd in one clip that has surfaced online. It is unclear if he was angry at his bandmates or the sound on stage. Watch footage here:

In March, the band’s long-term drummer Frank Ferrer, who had been with them since 2006, left the band in what was initially described as an “amicable exit”, although he later shared his “disappointment” that his time with the band had finished.

One day later, AWOLNATION’s Carpenter was announced as their new drummer, having previously worked with GNR’s bassist Duff McKagan’s band Loaded.

Last week, Slash hinted that a new Guns N’ Roses albums is “coming”, saying that “everybody [in the band] is thinking about it”. The band have not released a full-length album since 2008’s much-delayed ‘Chinese Democracy’, while the last LP that either Slash or McKagan appeared on was the 1993 covers album ‘The Spaghetti Incident?’.

“There’s so much material at this point – it’s a matter of having the discipline to sit down and fucking get into it,” he said. “But the thing with Guns is, in my experience, you can never plan ahead. You can never sit down and go, ‘We’re going to take this time, and we’re going to do this.’ Every time we’ve done that, it falls apart.”

NME caught the band’s Glastonbury headline performance in 2023, calling it “one of their strongest sets in recent years” in a three-star review.

“To any G’N’R fan, the Glasto set undoubtedly marks one of the strongest sets that the rock veterans have given in recent years — completely devoid of sound issues, Axl Rose’s vocals in pretty good form, Slash at the top of his game and, probably the second biggest shock of the night, the band beginning the performance bang on time.”

Guns N’ Roses’ Axl Rose launches new cyberpunk graphic novel ‘Appetite For Destruction’

by jummy84 September 30, 2025
written by jummy84

Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose has launched a new cyberpunk graphic novel, Appetite For Destruction. Find all the details below.

The singer has teamed up with Sumerian Comics for the forthcoming project, which shares its name with GnR’s 1987 classic debut album.

Rose co-wrote the story alongside Sumerian co-founder Nathan Yocum, who explained: “Axl Rose: Appetite for Destruction is a raw, neon-noir fever dream, part rock anthem, part cyberpunk prophecy.

“Axl and I built a world where rebellion isn’t just attitude, it’s survival. It’s Axl like you’ve never seen him before, on the front lines of a battle for humanity’s future.”

A synopsis reads: “Set in a neon-drenched Paradise City where humans and robots are meant to co-exist, Appetite for Destruction follows Axl Rose, a half-human, half-robot who lives on the fringes, and finds solace in the music of a back-alley lounge singer.

“When she vanishes under mysterious circumstances, Axl’s search for answers drags him into a deadly conspiracy, one that could decide the fate of humanity itself.”

Appetite for Destruction features art by Frank Mazzoli (DUNE: Edge Of A Crysknife, Rebel Moon: Nemesis), colours by Antonio Antro (Hell Is Us, The Offspring: Come Out And Play) and lettering by Micah Myers (American Psycho).

The 108-page hardcover book is available to pre-order now, and shipping is expected in January 2026. It is available in five tiers, with the top package coming with a signed Axl Rose bookplate, figurine, collector’s coin and more. The standard edition is priced at $39.99 (£29.73).

Check out the preview images in the announcement post above.

Meanwhile, Guns N’ Roses are set to kick off their South American headline tour in San José, Costa Rica tomorrow (Wednesday October 1).

Over the summer, Rose and co. played a huge concert at London’s Wembley Stadium as part of their most recent UK and European run. They also played a show at Villa Park in Birmingham.

In other news, Zak Starkey recently urged Axl Rose to return a master recording of a song that he claims could raise $2million for charity.

bitchy | Benedict Cumberbatch & Sophie Hunter attended ‘The Roses’ UK premiere

by jummy84 September 1, 2025
written by jummy84

Sometimes, when I’m looking at photos of Benedict Cumberbatch and his wife Sophie Hunter, it really does feel like photo-editors used face-swapping technology. They really do look similar, and Sophie really resembles a younger version of her husband. Anyway, Sophie skipped her husband’s American promotion for The Roses, but she came out for the London premiere last night. This is the film where Benedict and Olivia Colman play a British couple going through an extremely contentious divorce in California. As for Sophie and Bendy, do you realize that they’ve been married for a decade? It’s true, they married on Valentine’s Day 2015. A decade and three kids later, Bendy recently revealed his marriage secrets:

Benedict Cumberbatch credits one “rule” to keeping his marriage with wife Sophie Hunter strong. During his appearance on Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast alongside his The Roses costar Olivia Colman, the 49-year-old actor opened up about what irritates his family members.

“Being away from home p—– them off,” the actor said during his episode, which released on Thursday, Aug. 28. Because being apart from his wife of 10 years and their three children also upsets Cumberbatch, he’s implemented a “two-week rule” to keep their bond tight.

“It p—–me off too, so we try and do as much to make that not the case — the two-week rule, and try to work as hard as possible on making work happen here nearer home so I can get home, or take them with me,” Cumberbatch said.

[From People]

A lot of actors try the two-week rule, but it’s difficult and it does limit the kind of projects they take on. It does explain a lot of Benedict’s career in the past decade though – a lot of smaller, British productions which few people paid attention to. Which is fine – it’s clear that his priority is being a husband and father now. He’s got three young sons, Christopher (Kit), Hal and Finn. I think they gave their sons cute and short first names because “Cumberbatch” is a pretty CUMBERsome surname.
