At the time, Sanjay was just 18 years old. In an old interview with one of the media houses, Zarine fondly recalled their first date on a beach, describing how Sanjay arrived in a white shirt and trousers, wearing Kolhapuri slippers and holding a book by Tolstoy. She remembered being captivated by his charm as he spoke about his life. The very next day, Sanjay proposed to her. Zarine had playfully replied, *“If I still have feelings for you after a year, I will!” That witty answer won Sanjay’s heart, and a year later, the two tied the knot in 1966.

Zubeen Garg’s wife Garima Garg Saikia requests that all FIRs be withdrawn, hopes his last rites happen peacefully

Fans all over the nation were in shock after it was announced on Friday evening that singer Zubeen Garg, best known for Ya Ali, died after a freak scuba diving accident in Singapore. He was 52. The singer rose to fame in Assam in the 90s, and became a household name nationally with the success of his song, Ya Ali. Now, the late singer’s wife, Garima Saikia Garg, has appealed for peace during his departure and posted a video message for fans.

Zubeen Garg’s wife Garima Saikia Garg appealed to fans in a video message.

What Garima said

As per a video message that was shared by India Today Nepal, Garima Saikia Garg, wife of Zubeen Garg, said in Nepali, “I am urging everyone—Zubeen is coming home. When he was alive, you all showered him with love and blessings, and Zubeen loved all of you in return. I hope the last rites for his departure go peacefully. The police, along with the state administration, are fully supporting us.

Zubeen must come back, and we will all get to see him one last time. Along with Zubeen, Siddharth, who has been like a brother to him from the very beginning, will also be coming. As you all know, in 2020, when Zubeen suffered a massive seizure, we had to go to Mumbai for further treatment. During COVID, when everything was shut down, Siddharth went out of his way to get us food and supplies, and even brought Zubeen back from Mumbai by bus.

‘I request everyone to set aside any negative thoughts…’

Zubeen has always been our own, and whenever anyone spoke against Siddharth, Zubeen always stood by him. Please allow Siddharth to be part of Zubeen’s final journey. I request everyone to set aside any negative thoughts about Siddharth. I need all my people around me tomorrow, and I will need Siddhart’s support—without him, I cannot do anything.

Zubeen has many unfinished tasks, and I cannot complete them alone. I also request that all FIRs filed against Siddharth be withdrawn.”

Zubeen Garg, the celebrated musician, actor, and activist, was in Singapore to participate in a three-day cultural festival promoting North East India on the global stage. Tragically, his untimely death came just a day before he was set to perform. The organisers have decided to cancel the festival after the tragic news. An FIR was launched against the organisers of the event.

The Conjuring Last Rites Dialogues: The Final Exorcism – Ed And Lorraine Warren’s Most Terrifying Case Yet | Glamsham.com

Warner Bros. has released the highly anticipated trailer for The Conjuring: Last Rites, the fourth mainline film of the hit supernatural horror franchise. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga star again as Ed and Lorraine Warren in the final installment, which takes fans back to one of the Warrens’ first encounters with evil, the Smurl haunting. The case, which is based on actual events that occurred in Pennsylvania, is about a family haunted by a demon over ten years. In contrast to earlier investigations, this time the Warrens themselves are in peril.

Franchise Connections and Lore
Fans will be quick to spot a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo from the notorious Annabelle doll, sparking speculation about deeper ties to the wider Conjuring universe. The trailer also teases chilling sequences, including one where Lorraine is hunted by a possessed man while Ed struggles to save her, promising high-stakes emotional horror.

Creative Team Returns
It is directed by Michael Chaves, who directed The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It before this. Producers James Wan and Peter Safran come back to guide the venture, as the script is written by Ian Goldberg, Richard Naing, and David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick—three writers familiar with blending supernatural horror with character-driven plots.

New and Returning Cast Members
Together with Wilson and Farmiga are Mia Tomlinson as Judy Warren, the daughter of the Warrens, and Ben Hardy as her boyfriend-turned-husband, Tony Spera. Supporting them are Steve Coulter, Elliot Cowan, Rebecca Calder, Kíla Lord Cassidy, Beau Gadsdon, Shannon Kook, and John Brotherton, which should provide a solid cast to wrap up the saga.

The Final Chapter
Promising to be the final chapter of The Conjuring saga, Last Rites will provide a bittersweet conclusion to years of stories, terrors, and legend. With stakes personally higher than ever, the Warrens’ last battle with evil will bring a haunting finale to fans.

We have dialogues from the trailer of The Conjuring Last Rites. Check out The Conjuring Last Rites below:

Last Rites’ Casts Franchise-Best Opening Day

by jummy84 September 6, 2025
written by jummy84

The power of Christ still compels moviegoers. “The Conjuring: Last Rites” exorcised an impressive $34.5 million across Friday and preview screenings in 3,802 locations. That’s well ahead of the figure earned by the horror series’ 2018 spinoff “The Nun” ($22 million), giving “Last Rites” the biggest opening day gross in franchise history.

It puts the New Line feature on track to surge far above its pre-weekend industry projections for a $50 million debut, beating “The Nun” ($53 million) for the series’ biggest opening weekend ever. Not only will it be the biggest domestic bow for a horror movie in 2025, but the R-rated “Last Rites” could even rank as the seventh-biggest opening weekend of the year, with a chance at edging out “Thunderbolts*” ($74 million) depending on its play through Saturday. The film also gets a revenue boost from playing Imax and premium large-format auditoriums.

Even at its fourth mainline entry (and ninth including spin-offs), “The Conjuring” franchise has endured as a moviegoing draw. Stars Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson again return as the real-life, self-professed occult investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. Director Michael Chaves is also back to helm this entry, after previously handling the last mainline installment “The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It” in 2021, plus the 2023 spinoff “The Nun II.”

The weekend also marks another hit for Warner Bros., which has now strung together a whopping seven consecutive openings above $40 million. Reviews have been mediocre for “Last Rites” and moviegoers are only a little more positive, with survey firm Cinema Score polling a franchise-low “B” grade among early audiences. But none of that is proving much of a hindrance. Against a production budget of $55 million, it’s off to a fantastic start.

Meanwhile, Disney has the filmed version of the Broadway musical juggernaut “Hamilton” in 1,825 theaters, with $3.9 million across Friday and preview screenings. It’s projecting to land in second place with a three-day opening around $9 million. It’s pretty remarkable, considering that “Hamilton” has been available to view on Disney+ for nearly a half-decade. The studio acquired rights to the performance recording years ago and had originally set theatrical plans, but released it on the platform during COVID lockdowns. But now “Hamilton” is finally in theaters to align with its 10th anniversary; evidently, there’s a desire to see it on the big screen, despite being readily available for home viewing.

Third place goes to another Warner Bros. horror title with “Weapons,” earning another $1.5 million on Friday to go down just 47% from its daily total last week. Now in its fifth weekend of release, writer-director Zach Cregger’s R-rated original has earned more than $140 million in North America.

Disney is currently holding fourth with “Freakier Friday,” which earned another $960,000 on Friday to fall 46% from its daily total last week. In its fifth weekend, the comedy sequel has now hit $85 million domestic and will soon pass “Snow White” ($87 million) to become the 15th-highest-grossing North American release of the year.

Narrowly slipping behind to fifth, Sony Pictures’ “Caught Stealing” is facing a $3.2 million gross for its second weekend, which would mark a 58% fall from it debut. That’s not the kind of hold that the mid-budget neo noir was depending on after a muted opening. It’s looking to hit just $14.9 million domestic through its second weekend.

Also opening wide this weekend, the Salvation Poem Project has the PG-rated Christian tale “Light of the World” in 2,075 locations. Rivals have the hand-drawn 2D animated feature at $700,000 for Friday and previews, with an eighth place opening in the cards.

A Frightening Success: The Conjuring: Last Rites Earns Rs 17 Crore, Sets New Benchmark For Horror Films!” | Glamsham.com

The Hollywood horror movie The Conjuring: Last Rites reached Indian cinemas at last today, being the ninth and last installment of the worldwide favorite Conjuring Universe. Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson star in the movie that has broken records, giving the franchise and the horror category the biggest opening ever in India.

On its opening day, Last Rites raked in a huge ₹17 crore net despite being in competition with new releases like Baaghi 4 and Madhraasi. The film’s box office gross collection amounted to ₹21 crore, where ₹43 lakh was just from midnight shows, thus indicating the frenzy among fans of horror films.

Breaking a 7-Year Record
The achievement is all the more significant since the film has broken the record of The Nun (2018), which had entered the Indian box office with a collection of ₹10 crore and had become the largest horror opener in India for the last seven years. With Last Rites almost doubling that amount, the reference point for horror movies in India has been reset.

Audience Response and Weekend Outlook
The solid opening also reflects on how the Conjuring series has established a loyal fan base in India, a feat few foreign horror franchises manage. Early word of mouth has also been well received, further stoking hopes of huge growth on the weekend.

Industry observers opine that if the movie continues to build up momentum during Saturday and Sunday, followed by consistent weekday collections, it could readily achieve super hit in India. Crossing the ₹100 crore net figure now seems a real possibility.

A Historic Start
With such a banger of an opening, The Conjuring: Last Rites has already etched itself in Indian box office lore. For the fans, the last chapter assures not just spine-tingling thrills but a big goodbye to one of the greatest horror epics ever created.
