Meghan Markle and Everyone in NYC is Wearing This Elegant Neckline to Look Trust-Fund Level Rich

Lately, I can’t walk a block in Manhattan without spotting someone who looks like they just floated out of an uptown art gallery opening—glossy hair, minimal makeup, and that impossibly elegant top that drapes just so. You know the one; it’s not quite a turtleneck, not quite a blouse, but something in between. Perhaps it’s best described as a scarf or cape-style neckline that cascades effortlessly and whispers “old money” with every fold.

Meghan Markle wore a version of the elegant scarf neckline for Balenciaga’s spring/summer 2026 show during Paris Fashion Week, and since then, the fashion set has been fully converted. Whether it’s a silk scarf top knotted at the shoulder or a cape-detail leather blouse, the scarf neckline silhouette makes everything you pair it with look exponentially more expensive. And honestly? I’m here for it.

Below, shop the best scarf-neckline tops, jackets, and sweaters.

A Rich, Derivative Appalachian Revenge Thriller

by jummy84 November 3, 2025
written by jummy84

Some movies are so derivative that it seems like their characters must be the only people on Earth who haven’t seen them before. Few of those movies, however, are as muscular and red-blooded as John-Michael Powell’s “Violent Ends,” a chewy — if not downright overcooked — feast of an Ozark anti-Western that claims to be inspired by true events (specifically, the unraveling of Arkansas’ most powerful crime family), but feels significantly more indebted to the stuff of “Unforgiven,” “Blue Ruin,” and Jeff Nichols’ “Shotgun Stories.” While too labored to live up to its self-evident inspirations, this fatalistic revenge saga is so unrepentant towards its own movie-ness that its canned dialogue and clichéd story beats often present an engrossing counterpoint to its vividly authentic sense of time and place.

'Bugonia'

Powell’s tragic hero is doomed from the moment he dares to do something “original” with his life, an ambition that could never be realized within the world of the film into which he was born, and so he soon finds himself with no choice but to declare an open war against his own bloodline; to so violently confront the Southern-fried tropes that have always defined his family that future generations might have a chance to exist within the pages of a less predictable script. One that isn’t slurred together from such a familiar combination of backwater lawlessness, faux-polite menace, and profoundly sweaty animal metaphors.

But in order to enjoy “Violent Ends” on those terms, you first have to accept the premise that Lucas Frost (the elastic Billy Magnussen, making a solid case for himself as a genuine leading man) doesn’t know he’s been cast as the main character of a contrived thriller about how an eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind. At least not at first. You have to believe that his incarcerated coke kingpin of a father always talks in quasi-religious parables, and that his bank teller fiancée — Alexandra Shipp as the appropriately named Emma Darling, a beaming angel of a woman who coerces Lucas into a rom-com worthy grand gesture by the end of her first scene — might credibly exist within the desolate Appalachian context of a film whose average character is just a couple of face tattoos away from going full “Winter’s Bone.”

It’s a context that Lucas is keen to escape while he can: It’s the fall of 1992, George Bush the elder is about to lose his bid for another presidency, and the Arkansas police are enjoying a brief detente in the drug war between the two rival sides of the Frost clan. But nobody is enjoying it more than Lucas’ slick-talking but clearly sociopathic cousin Sid (the ever-watchable James Badge Dale, even less restrained than usual in a role so slathered with extra sauce that the actor literally has to lick his fingers clean between some of his lines), who sees this as a golden opportunity to seize the whole cartel operation for himself.

“Violent Ends” does a poor job of laying out the Frost family tree (its wall of opening text fails to establish the who’s who we need to fully understand the dynamics at work), but it’s clear enough that Sid embodies everything that Lucas is desperate to reject within himself. If only it were that easy to cast aside one’s inheritance. As his father told him at the end of a long-winded story about a pentecostal preacher, and as Lucas will soon learn the hard way for himself after a robbery-gone-wrong rocks his world apart: “You’re a rattlesnake, son. Just like me.”

Lucas doesn’t get to witness said robbery first-hand, which is a shame, as the sight of someone getting shot in the chest and just standing perfectly still and wide-eyed as their shirt bleeds red would be his biggest clue so far that he’s in an overbroad — albeit geographically specific — movie about how violence begets nothing but violence. Alas, he sees just enough to abandon his plans for a better life and try to exact vengeance on the responsible party, whomever that might be. We see the killer’s face and have no doubt as to what happened, but Powell’s script — so obvious about the rest of its plotting —  insists on treating the murder with a veneer of mystery, which contributes to a torpid second that’s too saturated with numbing synths and genre posturing to seize on the film’s most interesting tensions.

Specifically: that between Lucas and his half-brother Tuck (a wounded Nick Stahl, drawing on his own history with addiction to create an achingly lived-in portrait of a decent man who’s struggling to resist the gravity of his own weakness). For all of the sullied virtue that Magnussen commands in the lead role, “Violent Ends” wouldn’t really spark to life or feel like it had any meaningful stakes to it if not for how Tuck’s soul hangs in the balance. As someone with one foot in the Frost mishegoss and one foot in the normal family life that Lucas aspires to, Tuck is the only person in this story whose fate doesn’t feel like a foregone conclusion, and the handful of scenes where Powell centers him are by far the richest things here. The writer/director clearly adores his characters, and is eager to highlight the humanity that surges beneath their circumstances, but Tuck alone allows him to do that to meaningfully stirring effect.

By contrast, Sid spends most of his time preening like a supervillain, while the film never seriously explores what it means for Lucas’ mom (Kate Burton) to work as a cop — her role seems reverse-engineered from the wonderful shot that all of the film’s drama builds towards after Lucas is able to bend the cycle of violence into something of a straight line. It’s a striking image, typical of Powell’s smart and visceral approach to staging rich action on a budget (the movie looks great in all respects, with Elijah Guess’ cinematography finding vivid streaks of natural beauty atop a bedrock of dour Appalachian gray), and palpably freighted with all of the emotion that percolates too far under the surface during much of the story.

Powell is an exceptionally promising filmmaker, but by the time he arranges all of his ducks in a row for the finale, he’s lost track as to whether Lucas is continuing the cycle of vengeance that has poisoned so much of his family, or if he’s breaking it. While “Violent Ends” asks you to reckon with the futility of violence, it (violently) delights in its bloodshed too much to pull that off, as Lucas — a natural rattlesnake — is left with no other choice but to bite his own tail. Alas, this was the movie into which he was born; the great tragedy of Lucas’ life is that he wasn’t born into a better one.

Grade: C+

“Violent Ends” is now playing in theaters.

I put her wrist on freeze, top down, feelin’ the breeze

Drown the bitch with the water-water

Paint on her face, Mona Lisa
Big dog, I don’t smoke no shisha
My bitch bad, but she rollin’ up reefer (Yeah)

B*tch, I’m a thug, not a preacher
I charge you one-fifty a feature
I’m f*ckin’ this foreign lil’ eater
She tryna extend her lil’ Visa

Hell yeah, the feelin’ was good, I put that ho on repeat
Walk in the store with the bands, yeah, I’ma need the receipt (Oh)
Hell yeah, I’m smokin’ that gas, premium 93 (Oh)

‘Yuck Yaar, Do She Even Know How To Count Money?’, Arshi Khan On Tanya Mittal Showing Herself Rich In Bigg Boss

by jummy84 September 14, 2025
written by jummy84

Social media influencer Tanya Mittal has been making waves in Bigg Boss 19 with her unusual remarks and behavior. In recent episodes, she grabbed attention by claiming that she has never seen a worm inside ladyfinger, does not know how to open a refrigerator, and has never swept the floor, among other surprising statements. These comments have now sparked a reaction from Arshi Khan, who openly called out her hypocrisy.

Tanya Mittal

Arshi Khan, known for her bold presence in multiple seasons of Bigg Boss, shared her thoughts about Tanya in an interview with one of the media houses. When asked if Tanya comes from a wealthy background, Arshi was told that she only portrays herself as such but is not actually rich. To this, Arshi responded with, “Yuck yaar” and further questioned whether Tanya even knows how to count money and was told she likely has someone managing it for her.

Arshi Khan

The discussion then shifted to whether Tanya can wear a sari or run a business, to which the interviewer replied that she owns a sari business. Taking a dig at Tanya, Arshi remarked, “Saying things like never seeing a worm in ladyfinger or not knowing how to open a fridge are silly excuses. The audience is not foolish; everyone knows the reality. Inside the house, every contestant is equal. You have to do everything, from picking up garbage and cleaning toilets to tidying up bedrooms and working in the kitchen.”

Arshi Khan

Let us tell you that Arshi added with sarcasm, “If I were inside the house, Tanya, I would have pushed you to work on another level. I’d make you open and close the fridge a hundred times. Bigg Boss should give her tasks where she must repeat everything she claims she cannot do, whether it’s cutting ladyfinger, checking for worms, or handling chores. She should be made to do it hundreds of times until she learns.”

bitchy | Princess Kate wore Alessandra Rich for a ‘surprise’ WI event with William

by jummy84 September 9, 2025
written by jummy84

These photos are basically Exhibit A for “why I will never take any palace-driven narratives about the Princess of Wales seriously.” We’ve been told for a year and a half that Kate is in such delicate health, she needs to step away from work for months at a time, plus all of the ski holidays and yacht vacations she can fit into her kids’ school schedule. We’ve been told that no one can ever question Kate’s styling or hair because of her health, because she’s just a 43-year-old CHILD, after all. We were also told that no one should expect Kate to have much of a schedule for the second half of the year.

Well, all of that was said before Prince Harry scheduled four days of events in the UK. Suddenly, William has events for three days in a row too! And wouldn’t you know, Kate made a surprise appearance today, marking her third public appearance in five days. It looks like Kate is totally fine to work, but only when she’s competing with the Sussexes, same with her husband. This was originally supposed to be a solo William event, scheduled at the last minute to compete with Prince Harry. It also looks like palace courtiers snatched that hilariously stupid blond wig off of her head, because Kate’s hair is now back to “normal” for her – still clearly full of extensions and hairpieces, but not so hilariously unhinged as her “hair” was last Thursday.

So what was the event? William and Kate visited the Women’s Institute in Berkshire. They chatted with ladies about service and the late queen (who was president of the WI). Just as I writing this, it was confirmed that Harry went straight from Heathrow to Windsor, where he laid flowers on his grandmother’s grave/tomb on the third anniversary of her death. King Charles really needs to cut Harry a big check, because without Harry’s well-publicized visit, Charles probably wouldn’t have been able to get Peggy and the Wig to leave the house for three months.

Kate’s dress is Alessandra Rich – it’s supposed to be worn with a wink and a flash of leg. On Kate, it looks like she borrowed Charlotte’s prissiest dress.

8 Celebrity “Rich Aunties” Living Life Child-Free

by jummy84 August 30, 2025
written by jummy84

R&B singer and actress Mya explained that her choice to remain solo has baffled some and prompted outsiders to question why.

“It’s not even my focus, and it never has been,” she explained to Melyssa Ford for the Hot and Bothered podcast. She added, “I’m very happy with myself, but that also required me to strip a lot of things that are expected of me on a specific timeline for the society that we grew up in to have. I’m talking about marriage, I’m talking about kids, and if you don’t have it, ‘something’s wrong with you,’ right?”

She is not alone. Success and happiness in adulthood look different for everyone, including some of Hollywood’s top talent. While many A-listers have chosen to balance being a wife and mother with red carpet premieres and blockbuster films, others have opted for a different route.

Whether it be choosing to remain single, deciding not to have children, or both, these women have signed up to be the family’s fabulous rich auntie.

Mya recently opened up about her decision not to marry or have children due to her career and other life goals. Still, the singer says that starting a family is not completely dismissed.

“I’ve always thought a little different. The white wedding dress, I was very fearful of those things, so I looked elsewhere and probably escaped too much in my work and ‘keep going.’ But also, I think being independent has forced me to show up for myself and obviously family, friends, and this operation because I have a mission and I have a vision, but it requires me to be gone, and that’s also very, very much fear-filled knowing that if I have to be gone 95% of the time, and my work calls of me to travel, it must be intimidating and I also cant show up properly for my significant other,” she explained.

“It will be granted to me in divine time, and I’m not worried about it because my life is full of love and it comes in so many different forms—not just one person, so I’ve had to recalibrate my brain,” she added.

“I want to be the poster child for being an inhabitant in your own skin,” shared the 52-year-old. “For living in your own skin.”

“Yes, I am a single Black woman who does not have children, but not having a relationship — long, long relationships — not having children has allowed me to explore things of my own humanity. It has deposited me here at 52 in an extraordinary experience that is filled with joy, loneliness, grief, exuberance, delight, like, literally all of it. And I feel available to it.”

“I am the oldest of five. I’ve have had a lot of small children in my life for a long time, so I never felt like I wanted to have kids,” she explained, per PEOPLE Magazine. “My family, my mom, would always say, for a little while before she realized I was serious, ‘You’ll change your mind.’ I don’t feel like I would be a good mother for a child. I don’t want to do that and I think in the most ideal scenario, you should want to do that. I just don’t want to.”

“It’s one that I’ve embraced fully,” she added. “I never wanted kids.”

The actress continued to detail, “When we found out it was going to be difficult to impossible [to conceive], it really was a choice to stop.”

“At one point in Chicago, I had bought an additional apartment because I was thinking, ‘Well, if we get married, I’m going to need room for children,’” she shared with PEOPLE Magazine.

She continued, “I used to think about this all the time, that I was working these 17-hour days, and so were my producers, and then I go home and I have my two dogs and I have Stedman, who’s letting me be who I need to be in the world. He’s never demanding anything from me like, ‘Where’s my breakfast? Where’s my dinner?’ Never any of that, which I believed would have changed had we married.”

The Nappily Ever After star added, “And if it’s not gonna be that, I’m just gonna keep being my free-spirit self. I was talking to a friend of mine who’s around my age, and there is a thing when people look at you, and they’re like, ‘So…’ as if you’re failing because you’re not married. I have so much love in my life. And maybe I will have a life partner. But I don’t know.”
