Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone, who played a crucial role in Prabhas’s blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD, is once again in the headlines. Months after reports surfaced that the actress had been dropped from the film’s sequel, a new controversy has erupted this time over the removal of her name from the film’s end credits on OTT platforms. A sharp-eyed fan recently noticed that Deepika Padukone’s name was missing from the end credits of Kalki 2898 AD on streaming platforms.

The fan took to X to call out the filmmakers for their apparent lack of respect, writing, “Credits aren’t just names at the end of a film. They’re gratitude, accountability, and respect for the work done. When someone like Deepika Padukone, who played a key role in shaping the emotional aspect of Kalki, isn’t given credit even months after its OTT release…” The post quickly went viral, sparking a heated discussion among netizens and Deepika’s loyal fanbase.

Following the viral post, several fans began criticizing Vyjayanthi Films, the production house behind Kalki 2898 AD. One user angrily commented, “@VyjayanthiFilms has removed Deepika Padukone from the end credits of ‘Kalki Part 1’ on OTT platforms… Probably the worst production house ever! Will removing her name from the credits take away her impact on the film? Really?”

Fans expressed disappointment that despite her significant contribution to the first part, Deepika’s name was removed, calling it an act of disrespect and unprofessionalism. In September 2025, the makers of Kalki 2898 AD officially announced that Deepika Padukone would not return for the sequel. The production team released a statement on social media, saying: “It is officially announced that Deepika Padukone will not be a part of the upcoming sequel to ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. After careful consideration, we have decided to part ways. Despite the long journey of making the first film, we couldn’t work out a partnership. A film like ‘Kalki’ deserves commitment.”

Prince Harry and King Charles III Are Not Speaking

Harry told the BBC May 2 that his father King Charles III won’t speak to him “because of this security stuff,” but added that “it would be nice to reconcile.”

The Duke of Sussex, who shares kids Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet with Meghan, said that he would love to reconnect with his family. But the ball is in his dad’s court.

“I can’t see a world in which I would be bringing my wife and children back to the U.K. at this point,” he said. “It’s really quite sad that I won’t be able to show my children my homeland.”

“There is a lot of control and ability in my father’s hands, ultimately this whole thing could be resolved through him,” Harry added. “Not necessarily by intervening but by stepping aside and allowing the experts to do what is necessary and to carry on.”

Despite the years of conflict, he’s waving the white flag in hopes of reconciliation. He added, “Life is precious, I don’t know how much longer my father has.”

On Tuesday, October 14, US Weekly published a report asserting that Wesleyan University confirmed to the outlet that Wendy has been “removed from her position as a professor.” Specifically, the college sent a statement to the outlet, writing:

“Wendy Osefo is no longer an employee of Wesleyan University.”

According to TMZ, the outlet also received the same statement. Additionally, TMZ noted that Wendy “had been a Distinguished Visiting Professor of Sociology.” Furthermore, US Weekly adds that students also received an email from “the director of Wesleyan,” explaining that Wendy “would no longer be teaching the course.”

Per TMZ, Wendy Osefo previously taught at Johns Hopkins University in Maryland. However, she resigned in 2024 and began her role at Wesleyan in the fall of that year. Her class was reportedly centered on “reality television and social issues,” per US Weekly.

Wendy reportedly obtained degrees from Temple University and Johns Hopkins, as well as a Ph.D. in “public affairs and community development” from Rutgers University, per TMZ.

More On The ‘RHOP’ Recent Arrest

As The Shade Room previously reported, Wendy and Eddie Osefo were arrested on multiple fraud charges on October 9. The pair is reportedly being accused of making false statements resulting in fraud of over $300. Wendy is reportedly facing a total of 15 charges, while her husband is reportedly facing 18. This, all because the pair alleged that their home was burglarized in April 2024. This reportedly resulted in the theft of pricey jewelry and Birkin bags. However, authorities soon determined that Wendy and her husband had staged the plan. Additionally, authorities shared that they later peeped social media posts shared by Wendy in which she was wearing jewelry she claimed had been stolen.

Angelina Jolie does not regret undergoing a double mastectomy and having her ovaries removed.

Angelina Jolie does not regret undergoing a double mastectomy and having her ovaries removed

The actress, 50, had the procedure after discovering she carried the BRCA gene mutation that increases the risk of breast and ovarian cancer.

Angelina, best known for roles in Tomb Raider and her latest film Maria, reflected on the surgeries in a new interview with Hello! magazine, explaining how her decision came after losing both her mother and grandmother to cancer.

She said: “I did choose to have that (surgery) because I lost my mother and my grandmother very young.

“I have the BRCA gene, so I chose to have a double mastectomy a decade ago. And then I’ve also had my ovaries removed, because that’s what took my mother.”

Agelina’s mother, Marcheline Bertrand, died in 2007 aged 56 following a battle with breast and ovarian cancer.

The actress added she felt at peace with her decision to undergo the preventative operations, adding she respected other women’s choices in how they approached their own health.

She said: “Those are my choices. I don’t say everybody should do it that way, but it’s important to have the choice. And I don’t regret it.”

The BRCA (BReast CAncer) gene mutation significantly raises the risk of developing breast and ovarian cancers, often at younger ages, according to the US National Cancer Institute.

Angelina revealed in 2013 that she had undergone a double mastectomy after doctors estimated she had an 87 percent chance of developing breast cancer and a 50 percent chance of ovarian cancer.

She later had her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed in 2015.

Her new film, Couture, explores similar themes of illness and resilience.

Angelina stars as Maxine, a woman grappling with a breast cancer diagnosis while navigating the emotional and physical toll of chemotherapy.

Speaking about the film, she said: “I think there’s much to say about this, and it is uniting for not just women but for anybody who’s gone through something, or someone who feels vulnerable and alone.”

While the movie is set in the world of haute couture, Angelina said its focus lies beyond fashion.

She said: “I think it’s not really a film about fashion; it’s a film about the fragility of life.

“Fashion, to me, is a metaphor for the world of appearances; a world where you have to hide your wounds.”

Jordan Peele’s post-‘Nope’ horror film removed from Universal’s 2026 schedule

Jordan Peele‘s highly anticipated next project has been removed from Universal Pictures’ 2026 release schedule.

  • READ MORE: ‘Nope’ review: say yes to Jordan Peele’s genre-hopping comedy-horror

The currently untitled horror film – which will serve as the eagerly awaited follow-up to 2022’s Nope, and will mark the filmmaker’s return to directing after four years – was most recently slated for a release sometime around Halloween next year.

Now, however, it has been reported via Variety that Universal Pictures has removed it from its 2026 release schedule, and has yet to set a new date for the film. The film was first meant to premiere around Christmas last year, but was put on pause in 2023 due to the SAG-AFTRA strikes in Hollywood.

The film was then pushed to October 23, 2026, but has been removed from Universal’s roster. According to Variety‘s sources, Peele is still working on the project, and has yet to begin the filming process.

Details surrounding the film, including its cast and premise, have yet to be made public, though Peele opened up about the project at the start of last year, calling it his “favourite” of all his works so far.

After a successful career in comedy, Peele made his directorial debut with 2017’s Get Out, for which he received the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, and numerous other nominations, including Best Picture and Best Director.

Peel then produced  BlacKkKlansman in 2017, before returning to directing and writing for the acclaimed horror movies Us (2019) and Nope (2022), reuniting with Get Out’s Daniel Kaluuya for the latter. He also co-wrote the 2021 sequel to 1992’s Candyman, directed by Nia DaCosta.

He has since produced two films – Monkey Man and HIM – via his Monkeypaw production company, and is rumoured to have fired his management team after they were unable to secure producer rights for the acclaimed horror film Weapons.

Peele’s last directed film, 2022’s Nope, scored a four-star review from NME: “From the movie’s unpredictability, patterns and motifs emerge; something as simple as the one-word title becomes part mantra, part running joke, part time-keeping metronome. It turns out that Peele’s background as a sketch comedian doesn’t just make him aware of certain genre tropes, or able to inject humour into tense situations (though both of those things are true). At times, he seems to imply that comedy and horror are both ways of processing the perverse mysteries of the world—and looking at things we shouldn’t be looking at. This also makes Nope a film that rewards repeat watching.”
