After Telling Friends She’d Been Receiving Harassing Phone Calls

#Philadelphia police are intensifying their search for 23-year-old Kada Scott, who went missing after work.

Authorities are combing the 55-acre Awbury Arboretum, working “north of Washington Lane,” with K-9 units, cadets, and detectives searching heavily wooded terrain. Investigators believe Scott “wasn’t voluntarily missing,” citing several red flags: she left her car behind, her phone is off, and she vanished from social media. Authorities also revealed that before her disappearance, Scott told friends she was being harassed via the phone by an unknown individual or individuals.

Scott was reportedly last seen at her job at The Terrace at Chestnut Hill, an assisted living facility. She’s 5 feet, 6 inches and weighs 120 pounds, police said. Her family remains hopeful and has urged anyone with information to contact police at 215-686-TIPS.

Ari previously went viral for purchasing him a vehicle, though during their falling out in 2024, Tuson accused Ari of never actually buying the car.

Multiple HBCUs On Lockdown After Receiving “Vile, Racist” Threats

Multiple historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) found themselves on high alert on Thursday (Sep. 11) after receiving a series of threats that forced lockdowns.

Alabama State University, Virginia State University, Hampton University in Virginia, Southern University in Louisiana, Clark Atlanta University, and nearby Spelman College were among the campuses impacted, as administrators, students and faculty moved to safety. Bethune-Cookman University in Florida also reported a potential threat, with school officials confirming their Daytona Beach campus went into lockdown.

According to ABC News, the FBI released a statement that investigators are “aware of hoax threat calls” to HBCUs across the country. While the agency stressed there is currently “no credible threat,” it acknowledged the seriousness of these incidents. “The FBI takes these threats very seriously because it puts innocent people at risk,” the bureau stated.

Universities moved swiftly to cancel classes, suspend “nonessential” events, and halt athletic games. Hampton University announced it would cease all activity through Friday (Sep 12). Virginia State University posted that, “out of an abundance of caution, VSU remains on lockdown.” Southern University in Louisiana extended its lockdown to the entire Baton Rouge campus.

The threats came just one day after the deadly shooting at Utah Valley University, where conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was killed while speaking on campus. Law enforcement has not connected the incidents, despite the coincidental timing.

Civil rights leader Rev. Al Sharpton weighed in, urging an end to violence targeting educational spaces. “I condemned the shooting of Donald Trump last year, the murder of Charlie Kirk yesterday, and the threats to HBCUs today,” Sharpton said. He pointed to recent attacks on HBCUs, including Edward Waters University in 2023 and Tuskegee University in 2024, as a pattern that cannot be ignored.

The Congressional Black Caucus echoed those concerns, calling the threats “vile” and “a chilling reminder of the relentless racism and extremism that continues to target and terrorize Black communities in this country.”

Lawmakers urged the FBI and Department of Justice to act swiftly in finding those responsible for the threats. For now, schools have reminded students and staff to follow the well-known urgent protocal: “If you see something, say something.” No injuries have been reported and many lockdowns have already been lifted.

A$AP Rocky is making serious waves in Hollywood as his performance in Highest 2 Lowest garners early awards-season attention, including consideration for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.

According to Variety’s Oscars Prediction List, Rocky’s performance has landed him in the running for a Best Supporting Actor nod, putting him in rare air for a recording artist breaking into Hollywood.

Known primarily for his genre-defining work in music, Rocky’s latest turn as Yung Felon — a sharp-witted, ambitious rap artist — places him directly alongside screen legend Denzel Washington in some of the film’s most talked-about scenes.

In the film, directed by Spike Lee, Rocky’s character Yung Felon finds himself in Denzel’s orbit, setting the stage for a powerful and unexpected alliance. Their chemistry is electric, and critics have taken notice of Rocky’s ability to hold his own against one of the most revered actors of our time.

“Yeah, don’t sleep on A$AP,” Spike Lee said during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in July. “In this film, Denzel and A$AP go toe to toe.”

Lee went on to highlight the uncanny resemblance between the two stars, suggesting it added a layer of unspoken depth to their scenes.

“What’s interesting is, even before I got involved with this film, I always thought that A$AP looked like he could be Denzel’s son. There’s a big resemblance. So when you see it on the screen, it adds an element of father and son. Don’t sleep on A$AP. Don’t sleep on A$AP,” he emphasized.

Lee added, “I’ve done five films with Denzel, and when he’s in a scene with somebody, they just get overwhelmed. He’s one of the world’s greatest living actors. But A$AP wasn’t having that. Toe to toe. I mean, they were going at it.”

While Highest 2 Lowest marks Rocky’s most significant acting role to date, he’s no stranger to the screen. His previous film credits include Dope, Monster, Zoolander 2, and the indie short If I Had Legs I’d Kick You.

Rocky’s musical contributions to the film, including the moody single “Trunks” and the introspective “Both Eyes Closed,” have also added to the film’s cultural weight, reinforcing his versatility as both an artist and performer.
