Get Ready For A New Rambo! Noah Centineo In Talks To Star In Reboot Of Action Franchise | Glamsham.com

In a landmark deal, Lionsgate has officially teamed up with Millennium Media, putting the studio in charge of two of Hollywood’s biggest action franchises: Rambo and The Expendables. Announced on November 3, the agreement gives Lionsgate the rights to develop and produce new movies and television series under The Expendables banner while taking global distribution rights for the upcoming Rambo film.

John Rambo is the title of the next chapter in the Rambo saga. The sixth film in the action series will be directed by Finnish filmmaker Jalmari Helander, best known for the gritty action thriller Sisu. In some great news, it’s now being reported that To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before alum Noah Centineo is in final negotiations to play young John Rambo, bringing the iconic character originated by Sylvester Stallone back to life.

The movie will delve deep into Rambo’s early years, which will give a whole new dimension to the legend. The production of the film would start next year in Thailand and will be co-produced by Millennium Media along with Templeton Media, from a screenplay written by Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani. Lionsgate is set to launch international sales on the project at AFM.

Under the terms of the new deal, Lionsgate becomes the primary studio and production partner on all future Rambo and Expendables projects, including potential spinoffs, television series, video games, and immersive experiences.

“This deal expands Lionsgate’s portfolio of genre-defining action franchises,” said Lionsgate COO Brian Goldsmith. “We’re excited to reimagine The Expendables and Rambo across film and television, beginning with John Rambo.” Millennium Media president Jonathan Yunger added, “These franchises have enduring power, and Lionsgate’s global reach and creative expertise make it the perfect partner.”

Lionsgate already distributes several Rambo and Expendables titles across major international markets, so this partnership offers a natural next step in extending both legendary franchises.

‘Prison Break’ Reboot Gets Hulu Series Order

by jummy84 October 21, 2025
written by jummy84

Hulu is heading into — and then out of, presumably — the big house.

The Disney-owned streamer has greenlit an update of the 2000s Fox series Prison Break. The series, in development for the better part of two years, comes from Mayans MC co-creator Elgin James, who will serve as showrunner after writing and directing the pilot episode.

While the new Prison Break will be set in the same world as the prior show, it will follow a new cast of characters. Emily Browning, Drake Rodger, Lukas Gage, Clayton Cardenas, JR Bourne, Georgie Flores and Myles Bullock star.

The series will center on Browning’s character, an ex-soldier turned corrections officer who, per the show’s logline, “takes a job at one of the deadliest prisons in America to prove just how far she’ll go for someone she loves.”

Prison Break comes from 20th Television, which also produced the original series. James executive produces with Paul Scheuring (who created the original series), Dawn Olmstead, Marty Adelstein and Neal Moritz. Olmstead, Adelstein and Moritz were also EPs of the original show.

Prison Break premiered on Fox in 2005 and ran for four seasons, then was revived for a nine-episode run in 2017. It starred Wentworth Miller as a man who deliberately has himself incarcerated as part of a plan to break out his wrongfully convicted brother (Dominic Purcell). The show’s cast also featured Amaury Nolasco, Robert Knepper, Sarah Wayne Callies, Paul Adelstein, Rockmond Dunbar, Peter Stormare, Robin Tunney, Marshall Allman and William Fichtner. The original series streams on Hulu and Netflix.

‘The Office’ Australia reboot has been cancelled after one season

by jummy84 October 20, 2025
written by jummy84

The Australian version of The Office has been cancelled after one season after being hit by negative audience reactions.

The eight-episode run premiered on Amazon Prime Video in October last year, with Felicity Ward playing Hannah Howard, the managing director of the Flinley Craddick packaging company. She was the first ever female lead of an Office spin-off.

It was met with mixed reviews and became the subject of some social media backlash, with one X user writing that it made them “want to drink a pint of bleach” and another describing it as “possibly the worst version” of the show. It did, however, perform well in Australia, earning the top-rated opening weekend for a local original show on its release.

Now, it has been reported by The Nightly that Prime Video have cancelled the show, although they have not given a reason for their decision.

It was the 14th adaptation of the BBC series, originally created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant and airing for two seasons in 2001 and 2002 and a Christmas special in 2003.

NME gave the “workaday Australian remake” a two-star review, describing it as being “dogged by déjà vu” but adding: “It took the US Office two seasons to stop being a bad cover version and hit its stride. In this cutthroat climate of streaming where series are prematurely culled, will this be allowed time to settle into its own unique rhythm? A fatalistic question that would probably be followed in The Office by a reaction cutaway shot to somebody’s eyes awkwardly darting from side to side.”

When the Australian adaptation was announced in May 2023, Gervais said in a statement: “I’m very excited about Australia remaking my little show from the turn of the century. Office politics have changed a bit in 20 years, so can’t wait to see how they navigate a modern-day David Brent.”

Elsewhere, the new spin-off show The Paper debuted last month on Peacock in the US and Sky and NOW TV in the UK. It takes place in the same universe as the US version and stars Domhnall Gleeson as an idealistic new employee looking to revive a local newspaper.

In a four-star review, NME wrote: “Tim Key may be a scene-stealer but he’s matched by Impacciatore, who imbues narcissistic Esmeralda with deranged dignity. Quite often, she’s the agent of chaos who busts this show out of its comfort zone. In one episode, she becomes convinced that office duffer Barry (Duane R. Shepard Sr.) is an incubus pursuing her in her dreams. Does it all add up to watercooler TV? Probably not, but The Paper is definitely worth a binge on your next annual leave day.”

Jennifer Aniston Says A Friends Reboot Without Matthew Perry Is “Literally Impossible” | Glamsham.com

by jummy84 October 9, 2025
written by jummy84

Jennifer Aniston has made it clear that a Friends reboot or sequel is something she just can’t imagine doing, not without Matthew Perry.

In a new interview with Harper’s Bazaar U.K., published earlier this week, Aniston said it would be “literally, physically impossible” for her to return as Rachel Green following Perry’s passing. The actor, who played Chandler Bing on the beloved sitcom, died in 2023 at age 54 from the effects of ketamine, with additional health factors contributing.

“It’s heartbreaking that he had so many demons,” Aniston said. “But boy, for someone who had that much inner turmoil, he sure got to laugh a lot, and that was everything to him.”

Her words struck a deep chord with fans who still hold Friends close to their hearts. The series, which ran from 1994 to 2004, became one of the most iconic sitcoms in television history. Alongside Aniston and Perry, the show starred Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer. The six of them formed not just a legendary ensemble but also a genuine family behind the scenes.

Aniston recalled how much joy the cast found in working together. “It completely formed who I was. It was pure joy,” she said. “I couldn’t wait to get to work every day, to see those people, to read the new script.”

The last time the entire cast reunited was for Friends: The Reunion on HBO Max in 2021, an emotional moment that Perry was part of. Looking back now, Aniston described that event as even more meaningful. “We did everything we could when we could,” she said. “It almost felt like we’d been mourning Matthew for a long time because his battle was such a hard one to watch. As hard as it was for all of us and the fans, there’s a part of me that thinks this is better. I’m glad he’s out of that pain.”

Aniston’s remarks remind everyone how deeply connected the Friends cast was, and how the loss of one made a true reunion feel unimaginable. For now, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, and the rest will live on in the memories and laughter they’ve already given the world.

bitchy | The Scrubs cast reunited for their first table read for the reboot

by jummy84 September 30, 2025
written by jummy84

Early last December, Variety reported that there were talks of a Scrubs reunion. Then, throughout the year, we got periodic updates, mainly about the cast, which included news that Zach Braff, Donald Faison, and Sarah Chalke had signed on to return. We also learned that original showrunner Bill Lawrence was only going to be involved as an executive producer (he’s busy with other projects) and that the reboot’s premise would be, ”JD & Turk scrub in together for the first time in a long time- medicine has changed, interns have changed, but their bromance has stood the test of time. Characters new and old navigate the waters of Sacred Heart with laughter, heart and some surprises along the way.”

Now, we have a script! Not only is there a script, but five of the original cast members recently met for a table read. Braff, Faison, Chalke, Judy Reyes (Nurse Carla Espinosa), and John C. McGinley (Dr. Cox) posed for a picture with Lawrence. There’s no other word on who else is coming back or any announcement about new cast members. We also don’t have any further plot details. But, the production wheels are officially in motion!

Five cast members from the beloved medical sitcom reunited with series creator and executive producer Bill Lawrence for the first table read of the show’s upcoming ABC revival.

The costars and creator posed for a photo together to commemorate the show’s production moving forward. The pic included Zach Braff, who played Dr. John “J.D.” Dorian on the original show; Sarah Chalke, who portrayed J.D.’s love interest Dr. Elliot Reid; and Donald Faison, the actor behind J.D.’s bestie, Dr. Christopher Turk. All three of those performers are series regulars and executive producers for the revival.

Also pictured were Judy Reyes, who played head nurse (and Turk’s love interest) Carla Espinosa on the original show, and John C. McGinley, who portrayed J.D.’s mentor Perry Cox. Reyes and McGinley will be guest stars on the revival.

The Scrubs revival is set to premiere in 2026.

[From Entertainment Weekly]

I know that there are a lot of mixed feelings out there about this reboot. I have them too, but I like the idea of the OG doctors being mentors for new doctors. It’s a good way to bring it full circle. We shall see. I also got a little excited by the picture of Braff, Chalke, Faison, Reyes, and McGinley together. I wonder if we’ll also get appearances from Neil Flynn (the Janitor) and Christa Miller (who played Jordan Sullivan, is married to Bill Lawrence, and is currently starring in Shrinking.) Ken Jenkins (Dr. Kelso) is 85 and retired, so I wouldn’t blame him if he decided to opt out, and of course, poor Sam Lloyd (Ted) passed in 2020.

I’m actually more curious about who the new cast members will be. Will we get unknown actors or will they go with actors that have some name recognition? It will probably be a hybrid a la The Paper, which I liked more than I expected to. It wasn’t perfect but I enjoyed it enough to 100% watch a second season. Dropping all of the episodes at once for binging was the right call. Anyway, as far as the Scrubs reboot goes, put me down into the tentative column. Those early seasons of the show were so good, so I’m not writing it off by any means. I just need more information and a trailer to really hook me.

‘Baywatch’ Reboot Coming to Fox in 2026-27

by jummy84 September 23, 2025
written by jummy84

Fox is putting Baywatch back on patrol.

The network has placed a series order for an update of the lifeguard drama, a staple of syndicated TV in the 1990s. The new Baywatch is set to air 12 episodes in the 2026-27 season and comes from Fox Entertainment and Fremantle, which holds the rights to the original series.

Matt Nix (Burn Notice, CBS’ True Lies) will serve as showunner on the new series and executive produce with Baywatch creators Michael Berk, Greg Bonann and Doug Schwartz, as well as Dante Di Loreto.

“In its first run, Baywatch defined an entire era of beach life and elevated lifeguards to an iconic status. Now, with our partners at Fremantle, this television juggernaut is set for a modern-day comeback,” Fox Television Network president Michael Thorn said in a statement. “Together, Fox and Fremantle, along with Matt Nix and original co-creator Greg Bonann, will bring the California dream to a whole new generation of fans with fresh stories, rising stars and all the spectacle that make the Baywatch franchise a global sensation.”

Baywatch premiered as an NBC movie in 1989 and aired one season on the network in 1989-90 before moving into syndication for the rest of its run. The series starred David Hasselhoff as the head of a team of lifeguards in Southern California (and later Hawaii). Over its 11 seasons, the cast also featured Pamela Anderson, Yasmine Bleeth, Parker Stevenson, Nicole Eggert, David Charvet, Carmen Electra and Jason Momoa, among others.

“Baywatch has always been a treasured asset in Fremantle’s portfolio and remains one of the most iconic series in television history globally,” said Christian Vesper, CEO global drama at Fremantle. “We have found the perfect partners in Fox to help us maintain this legacy. With Matt Nix at the helm, we are in great hands, as he excels at telling engaging and entertaining stories. Our goal is to reconnect with existing fans while also introducing a new generation to the world of these famous lifeguards.”

Fox’s description of the new Baywatch will feature “all the adrenaline-fueled rescues, tangled relationships, complicated chemistry and beachside heroics that defined the original — now with an entirely new cast, contemporary trappings, tensions and challenges, and a renewed mission to protect Southern California’s shoreline.”

Fox aired another lifeguard series, the Hawaii-set Rescue: Hi-Surf, last season, but the show was canceled in May.

The original series also spawned a spinoff, Baywatch Nights, in which Hasselhoff’s character, Mitch Buchanon, joins his friend Garner Ellerbee (Gregory Alan Williams) in a private detective agency. Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron starred in a 2017 movie adaptation, and a Hulu docuseries last year featured interviews with a number of alumni.

Eugene Levy Hasn’t Heard Dan’s ‘Schitt’s Creek’ Reboot Idea

by jummy84 September 21, 2025
written by jummy84

Although Eugene Levy has been keeping busy abroad as The Reluctant Traveler, he’s always ready to revisit Schitt’s Creek.

Despite his son and co-creator/co-star Dan Levy previously revealing he has a “kernel of an idea” for a new iteration of their beloved Canadian sitcom, the Golden Globe-nominated father apparently has yet to hear it.

“If he said he had a kernel of an idea for a reboot, he didn’t lay it on me. I don’t know what he necessarily comes up with, I don’t have Instagram,” he quipped on Today‘s ‘Girl Code‘.

“Listen, we’ve always said we would love—obviously, we love this group, we love the cast, we love the show, and we would love to get together and do something,” added Eugene. “It’s just, no idea has come up. Nobody has come up with the idea yet. And whatever it is, it has to start kind of on the level where we left off. Otherwise, there’s no point.”

Commenting on the potential of a Schitt’s Creek movie, Eugene said, “Wow, that’s a good prediction. I kind of like that. That gets me excited. Never say never.”

With fans clamoring for a Schitt’s Creek revival ever since its six-season run ended in 2020, Dan teased his “kernel of an idea” for the reboot on Watch What Happens Live in July.

“I think about it all the time,” said Dan, adding, “I love the show so much, and I don’t want to disappoint the show and I don’t want to disappoint the fans. And I know it’s easy to just take a check and put something out there, but I care about it too much. I’m just waiting for that idea to be the right one. And then maybe, yeah.”

Following the show’s 2020 finale, the show earned Eugene and Dan an Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series, as well as Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Eugene and Outstanding Supporting Actor for Dan, who also won in the writing and directing categories for the final season.

Seth Rogen brings the Muppets back with Sabrina Carpenter in Disney+ reboot pilot

18 September 2025

Disney+ has officially greenlit a one-off Muppet Show special, with special guest Sabrina Carpenter.

Sabrina Carpenter will be a special guest in the Muppets Pilot

Developed by Point Grey Pictures – the production company helmed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg – the project is titled Muppets Pilot and is being positioned as a launchpad for a potential series reboot, Deadline reports.

Disney+ officially confirmed the project on their social media accounts, posting to X: “It’s time to play the music, it’s time to light the lights, it’s time to get things started as The Muppet Show returns for a triumphant event on Disney+ in 2026 with special guest star @SabrinaCarpenter!

“This brand-new installment from The Muppets Studio and Point Grey Pictures will feature Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, and the gang as they return to the Muppet Theatre to put on a variety show filled with music, comedy, and plenty of chaos.”

Should the special strike the right chord with audiences, it could usher in a fresh chapter for Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, and the rest of the beloved ensemble.

Carpenter, who also steps into an executive producer role, will join the iconic puppet cast in a mix of backstage shenanigans, sketch segments, and musical performances that pay homage to the original show.

Back in 2020, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Carpenter appeared virtually with Rogen to perform The Muppet Show Theme song for The Disney Family Singalong: Volume II.

Production is set to take place in Los Angeles, boosted by a $1.6 million tax incentive from the California Film Commission. The special is a collaborative effort between 20th Television, Disney Branded Television, The Muppets Studio, and Point Grey Pictures, with Albertina Rizzo penning the script and Alex Timbers directing.

Longtime Muppet performers – including Bill Barretta, Dave Goelz, Eric Jacobson, Peter Linz, David Rudman, and Matt Vogel – are confirmed to reprise their roles.

Originally launched in 1976, The Muppet Show ran for five seasons and became a cultural touchstone thanks to its blend of celebrity cameos, musical acts, and offbeat humour.

Frankie Muniz Teases ‘Pretty Shocking’ ‘Malcolm In The Middle’ Reboot

by jummy84 September 4, 2025
written by jummy84

While Frankie Muniz is remaining tight-lipped about the forthcoming Malcolm in the Middle reboot, the actor-turned NASCAR driver teased the four-episode revival will be “pretty shocking” to audiences.

In a recent appearance on the Lightweights Podcast with Joe Vulpis, Muniz previewed that fans of the aughts-era sitcom can expect “closure” for the eponymous genius teen, who spent seven seasons trying to come of age in a chaotic household full of loud and oft-dimwitted grown-ups and siblings.

“I think people will be surprised, in a sense, where everybody is and the story. But it’s only four episodes,” Muniz said, adding that the initial idea for a revival — gestating for a decade along with co-star Bryan Cranston — was a two-hour film. “It’s hard to fit in 20 years of stuff in four 30-minute episodes, right? But I think people are going to be very happy with what they came up with.”

Muniz, who is now focused on being a full-time racer, noted the production worked around his NASCAR schedule, and the shoot had to insure him for a hefty price tag, as he had five races during filming.

“I had the best time of my entire life, I’m not exaggerating, filming this reboot, like I loved it so much, way more than I ever thought I could have,” he recalled. “We ended in May, and I haven’t talked to anybody since, you know what I mean? I’ve been gone. I’ve only been home, I think, like 12 days since the beginning of the year. So I’m just always crazy, and I think next week, I’m going to have time. I’m going to reach out [to the rest of the cast].”

The Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated actor also echoed previous sentiments about “how quickly [the cast] just jumped back into being a family.”

Winning seven Emmys, a Grammy and Peabody when it aired from 2000 to 2006, the influential single-cam comedy was a hit for Fox and admired by critics and audiences alike. The revival’s plot will feature a grown-up Malcolm, who has a wife and daughter, drawn into his parents’ chaos once more for Hal (Cranston) and Lois’s (Jane Kaczmarek) 40th wedding anniversary party.

Previously, Muniz reflected on wrapping production for the Disney+ limited reboot: “I’m still reeling. This experience was straight-up incredible—like stepping back into Malcolm’s wild world but with all the love and chaos cranked to 11. Reuniting with the cast, getting to know some new characters, laughing till it hurt, and making new memories on set felt like a dream I didn’t want to wake up from. It went by so fast, like a blur of perfect moments. I wish it could go on forever,” he wrote in part.

Warwick Davis to Reprise Filius Flitwick in HBO’s Harry Potter TV Reboot

by jummy84 September 2, 2025
written by jummy84

Original Harry Potter director Chris Columbus may not see the point of HBO’s upcoming reboot series, but cast member Warwick Davis appears to disagree. Davis, who portrayed Professor Filius Flitwick in all eight films, is set to reprise the role in the new TV series, which is currently in production and scheduled to debut in 2027.

Davis is the first principal member from the films confirmed to appear in HBO’s TV reboot. He joins a cast that includes Dominic McLaughlin in the titular role, Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger,  John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, and Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid.
