Renee Rapp Shares Single ‘Lucky’ From ‘Now You See Me, Now You Don’t’

Call it magic or manifestation, but either way, Reneé Rapp is a master of mind games on her latest single, “Lucky.” The record is set to appear on the original motion picture soundtrack for Now You See Me, Now You Don’t, in theaters Nov. 14.

“I go fast, baby, I go hard/But don’t leave a scratch when I crash my car/Steppin’ on stars on the boulevard/I find it kinda funny, I get so la-la-lucky,” Rapp sings on the chorus before disappearing into the world of the film on the bridge. “Okay, got my way/It’s almost like I’m Reneé/Oh, no, where’d I go?/Now you see me, now you don’t.”

“Lucky” will ring out in theaters at the end of Now You See Me, Now You Don’t, the long-awaited third installment in the Now You See Me franchise, which began in 2013 and last returned in 2016.

The single follows the arrival of Rapp’s second studio album, Bite Me, which arrived in August. “I love it so much. I worked so hard on it, and I had so much fun making it that I think the hard part is not shooting myself in the foot by getting really anxious about it,” the singer told Rolling Stone earlier this year. “I feel like I made music from places that were really scary for me, not to sound like such a pick-me. So to put it out into the world, and not know if it’s going to be received in the way that it feels for me is scary.”

In a review of the record, Rolling Stone wrote, “She spends her second album, Bite Me, enjoying what a rowdy-and-proud mess she is, for one of the year’s most delightful pop blowouts, an uproarious 33-minute celebration of sex, drugs, and rock & roll.”

Reneé Rapp is officially heading to Australia for the first time, joining the Australian Open 2026 AO Live lineup on Jan. 31 at Melbourne’s John Cain Arena.

The singer-songwriter and actress will perform on Saturday night of the five-day concert series, which runs Jan. 28 to Feb. 1 during the final stretch of the Australian Open. Her set is scheduled to run from 2–7 p.m. AEDT, just before the AO Women’s Final kicks off at 7:30 p.m. at the same venue.

Rapp’s upcoming performance will mark her debut on Australian soil, following a massive year that saw her second studio album, Bite Me debut at No. 1 on the U.K. albums chart and No. 3 on the ARIA Albums Chart, while her 2023 debut Snow Angel earned the largest first-week sales for a female artist’s debut album in the U.S. that year.

Before heading Down Under, Rapp will hit the road in early 2026 for a European swing that is slated to kick off on March 11 at Lotto Arena in Antwerp, Belgium and keep her on the road through a March 22 show at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland.

In just over two years, Rapp has carved out a space as one of pop’s rising voices, earning both critical acclaim and a devoted fan base. She’s already taken her show to major U.S. festival stages, including Coachella, Lollapalooza, Governors Ball, and Boston Calling, and has made appearances on Saturday Night Live, The Today Show’s Summer Concert Series, and Late Night with Seth Meyers.

Before her music breakthrough, Rapp gained attention for her portrayal of Regina George in the Mean Girls Broadway musical in 2022 — a role she reprised in the 2024 film adaptation. The film’s soundtrack also featured Rapp and Olivia Rodrigo on the standout track “Not My Fault.”

Rapp joins this year’s AO Live lineup that also features an exclusive performance from The Kid LAROI and more. AO Pride Day on Jan. 30 will feature Australian favourites The Veronicas alongside Grammy-nominated duo SOFI TUKKER, while DJ and producer Peggy Gou will close out the event following the men’s final.

Each AO Live ticket includes full access to the arena concert as well as the Australian Open precinct. In addition to the headliner performances, the grounds will host acoustic sets in Garden Square and DJ-led parties on Grand Slam Oval. The event is presented by Tennis Australia and Untitled Group.

UPDATE: Reneé Rapp has moved the concert set for Wednesday night (Oct. 29) in Charlotte, North Carolina, to next week, on Nov. 7. “As of right now, I still don’t have a voice,” she wrote on her Instagram Story. “I’m recovering slowly but not in a place where I am able to perform safely … at my hometown show- I am so sorry and heartbroken that I have to postpone.”

PREVIOUSLY: Reneé Rapp has been criss-crossing North America for the past month on her headlining Bite Me tour. But over the weekend, the singer and former Sex Lives of College Girls star had to pump the brakes on two planned late-tour dates on doctor’s orders.

“In my career I have never had to do this before — but I have to reschedule tonight and tomorrow’s shows,” she wrote on Sunday on her Instagram Story of the gig originally planned for Sunday (Oct. 26) at State Farm Arena in Atlanta and another scheduled for Monday (Oct 27) at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Fla. “I’ve been pushing through an illness but my body has finally given out. My doctors have told me that it isn’t safe to perform due to the need for vocal rest and physical recovery” she added.

Rapp told fans that the Tampa show will now take place on Nov. 4 and the Atlanta stop has been pushed to Nov. 5. All original tickets will be honored for the new dates. In the meantime, Rapp said, the show scheduled for the Spectrum Centre in Charlotte, N.C. on Wednesday (Oct. 29) is still scheduled to move forward as planned.

“I truly appreciate how much time, planning and preparation goes into coming to a show,” Rapp wrote. “I can’t describe to you how sorry I am to have to move things around. I love you all and I will see you soon.”

After the final three North American dates, Rapp will be back on the road in early 2026 for a European swing that is slated to kick off on March 11 at Lotto Arena in Antwerp, Belgium and keep her on the road through a March 22 show at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland.

Billboard’s Live Music Summit will be held in Los Angeles on Nov. 3. For tickets and more information click here.

Reneé Rapp Covers SZA’s ‘Good Days’ for BBC Radio 1: Watch

“Renee is a HUGE inspiration,” SZA said

Reneé Rapp knows how to let her voice loose with an R&B song. On Friday, the singer joined the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge and continued the spot’s tradition of surprise covers with a rendition of SZA‘s “Good Days.” Rapp was backed by a pair of soothing acoustic guitars and a harp player.

SZA later shared a clip of Rapp’s performance on Instagram Stories, lauding her fellow artist. “Renee is a HUGE inspiration, energy, voice spirit,” SZA wrote in the caption. Rapp also shared clips from the performance on her own Instagram and from her visit to London.

During her visit with the Live Lounge, Rapp also performed a rendition of “I Think I Like You Better When You’re Gone” from her album Bite Me, which she dropped on Aug. 1. She spoke to Rolling Stone about making the record over the summer.

“I make music for myself, but I don’t put out music for myself,” she said at the time. “I don’t promote things for myself. If I was just going to do [it all] for myself, I wouldn’t put shit out in the first place. I’d have a different career.”

Rapp and SZA have shared sweet moments in the past. When Rapp said in an interview that people who don’t like Beyoncé “have no taste,” SZA reposted her and wrote, “She got her friggin mind right.”

Rapp is currently on her fall arena tour celebrating the album, and is scheduled to perform a show Friday night in Los Angeles, before shows in Texas, Georgia, Florida, and North Carolina through the end of October.
